Spike and the Mane-iac were sleeping in the extra bed in Fluttershy's cottage downstairs. While the unhinged villain was sleeping so peaceful with excessive sighs instead of yawns, Spike on the other hand was having one of the most horrific nightmares tha the could ever dream of. His whimpering, along with his tossing and turning suddenly woke up the Mane-iac. She looked at Spike with great concern, and gently rubbed him to wake him up.

"Spike." she quietly screamed. Spike on the other hand was still tossing and turning over his nightmare. "Spike!" she screamed a little louder. Once again. Spike didn't hear her.

"Mane-iac!" said Spike in his sleep. "Please! Don't let them take you away!"

The Mane-iac felt her heart almost cracking in half. Finally, she screamed. "SPIKE!!!" The scream woke up the baby dragon, panting heavily, and looking all over inside the cottage while moving his head to and fro very rapidly. Finally He saw the Mane-iac, and began sobbing into her suit very loudly.

"They...they said that you were guilty!" said Spike while crying. "They-they-they were taking you away to jail, and telling me that I will never see you again!!!"

The baby dragon continued bawling loudly into the Mane-iac's suit. The Mane-iac picked up Spike with her tendrils, and put him in a baby like position, rocking his small body gently.

"Shh...." said the Mane-iac in a very gentle voice. "That will never happen. It was only a dream."

Spike started to calm down a little, but was still sobbing. What the two didn;t notice was that it woke Fluttershy up. She came racing down the staircaise with a look of great concern on her face.

"What's going on?" she said in a tone of panic. She then looked at Spike, who had tears running down his cheeks. "Are you alright, Spike?" she asked the baby dragon with great concern.

"N...no." said the baby dragon with his voice still broken from his sobbing.

Fluttershy then looked at the Mane-iac. "What happened?" she asked her.

"Spike had a terrible nightmare." said the unhinged villain

"About what?" asked Fluttershy

"The trial." said the Mane-iac

"I...I'm still worried that they will take the Mane-iac away from me." said Spike

"Fluttershy," said the Mane-iac

"Yes?" said the yellow pegasus.

"Can you give us a minute?"

Fluttershy didn't want to leave Spike looking like this, like Twilight, she cared deeply for the baby dragon.

"Please?" said the Mane-iac

"Alright." said Fluttershy reluctantly.

"But please be make him feel better." said Fluttershy.

"I know, I will.

Fluttershy then left the room, leaving Spike and the Mane-iac alone

Spike was still sobbing while being cradled in the unhinged mare's arms.

"Please." said The Mane-iac in a very soft and caring voice. "Please don't cry, Spikey-Whikey." She gently put her tendrils over his cheeks to wipe his tears away. "It was only a dream. I will never be taken away from you."

"Re..really?" asked Spike

"Of course." said the Mane-iac softly. "I will always be here for you." She lifted Spike close to her face, and gave him a few second, gentle kiss on his forehead, making Spike frozen in place.

The baby dragon slowly grew a smile on his face, wiping a tear. "Are you sure?" he asked

"Of course I am dear." said the Mane-iac. "Nothing will ever change that." She then saw that Spike had stopped his sobbing. "Do you feel better now?" she asked him

"I guess." was all that Spike could answer.

"Would you like me or Fluttersh to give you anything?"

"No thank you." Spike replied.

"Are you sure?" asked the Mane-iac

"Yes. I'm sure." said Spike.

"Alright, then." said the Mane-iac. "But if you ever want something, please wake me up, and I will make you happy."

"I promise you that I am feeling alright." said the baby dragon.

"Very well." said the Mane-iac. She went over to the lamp and turned it off, and went back to bed. "Good night." she said to Spike

"Good night, Mane-iac." said Spike.

The two gave each other a few second, simultaneous kiss on their lips, and they both went back into their own little world of slumber.

The Next Morning

Spike was getting ready for the trial, and so was Fluttershy and the Mane-iac. "Who's going to be the lawyer?" asked Spike.

"You'll see." said the Mane-iac, who was right next to the baby dragon.

Fluttershy put a comforting hoof on the baby dragon's shoulder from behind him and said "Everything will be okay. I'm one of the jury. Besides I'm pretty sure that the judge will understand, and so will Princess Celestia and Luna."

Spike gave Fluttershy a smile, and said to her "Thank you."

Fluttershy smiled back, and said "You're welcome, Spike." and gave him a hug.

When they broke from their hug, The Mane-iac came up to the two, and said "I hope I am not interrupting anything am I?"

"Of course not." said Spike.

Fluttershy looked at her clock, and looked at it with surprise. She realized that since she is one of the jurors, she had to be in the Canterlot Courthouse a little earlier then Spike and the Mane-iac. She turned to the two, and said to them "I need to be get to the courthouse right now."

Spike and the Mane-iac gave her a confused look and both said "Why?"

"Well...since I am one of the jurors, I have to be there to decide with the rest of the jury whether you..." she pointed to the Mane-iac with her hoof. "are guilty or not guilty."

"Oh. I understand." said the unhinged mare.

"Yeah, you go ahead." said Spike.

"thanks" said Fluttershy. She got her bag with her hooves, placed it over her back, opened her door, and flew to Canterlot with singing in a beautiful voice.

After Spike and the Mane-iac watched Fluttershy leave for Canterlot, the Mane-iac said "We should probably
get ready for the trial as well."

Spike chuckled and said "Good idea."

The two also got ready for the trial and hoped that everything will go well.

At the Canterlot Courthouse

"Court is now in session." Announced Princess Celestia, who was the judge, with Luna on the lower pedestal next to her.

After the announcement, The Mane-iac, and Spike came in with a guard one their side, looking serious, and tough to the audience in the courtroom. Spike did have fear deep down inside of him, but he decided not to show it. He saw Shining Armor next to the pedestal. He saw the Jury, and he was shocked to see who the jury was. "Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight too?" he thought to himself. "I do notice that Fluttershy is one of them, but the rest of my friends?" He looked at the other jurors and saw that there was Fancy Pants, Big Macintosh, Spitfire, Discord, and Soarin. "They got selected as jurors too?!" he exclaimed in his head. "But...who is against us?" He looked at the opponents desk, and it was the Flim Flam brothers with their usual smug faces, looking at the Mane-iac and the unhinged villain. "They are my opponents?" he said. He really began to worry now.

When The two took their seats, Celestia looked at Spike, and Luna climbed down from her pedastal and announced to the entire court room. "This trial is about the Mane-iac kidnapping Spike, and this will determine whether she is innocent or guilty. Now Shining." She pointed to the husband of Princess Cadence with her hoof, and said to him "Mr. Armor, you may began."

"Thank you, your majesties." said Shining. He walked inbetween the rival tables. "My friends," he began "Defense calls the Mane-iac to the stand."

Every-pony was staring at the Mane-iac, the defendant. She was nervous, but she gave out a sigh, and went up to the stand.

When she took the stand, Shining Armor held an open book, and the Mane-iac put her hoof on it. "Do you swear to tell the truth?" he asked

"I swear." The Mane-iac replied.

"Now, did you kidnap Spike?" he asked.

The Mane-iac gave out a sigh, bowed her head in shame, and said "Yes."

"Hm-mm. Now, Why did you kidnap Spike?"

"Well, I just wanted to spend some time with him after our last encounter. You see: He was in the Power Ponies comic, and He was Humdrum. I thought that he was utterly useless, and I made fun of him because of that, but after her friends defeated me, It made me realize how much of a kind dragon he was. So I didn't kidnap him for revenge. I just wanted to spend a little time with him."

"I see." said Shining armor.

"I object, your majesty!" exclaimed Flim. he stood up, and walked up to the Mane-iac, and asked her "Was it not true that you are the most dangerous villain in all of Maretropolis?"

"Y...yes." said the Mane-iac

"and is it not true that he was with you in robbing the prized green Diamond from the Maretropolis museum?"

"Yes, I admit it." said the Mane-iac in shame. "It was the most valuable object in all of the city. But He wanted to eat the gem, and so i gave it to him as a present, because I love him."

The crowd, the Princess' and the jury went "Aww." except for the Flim Flam brothers, who had a look of anger in their eyes.

"You may step down now." said Shining Armor. "Defense calls, Spike to the stand." he announced. Every-pony now stared at Spike, and he went up to the stand while the Mane-iac went back to her seat.

Shining Armor opened the book, and the baby dragon put his hand on it.

"Do you swear to tell the truth?" said Shining Armor

"Yes." the baby dragon replied.

"Now, Were you scared of the Mane-iac at first?"

"of course." said Spike. "Because she was the most dangerous villain in all of Maretropolis for crying out loud! But, she really did love me and wants me to be happy." He began to shed a tear. "So please don't take her away from me. I would rather die than have all of you take her away from me!" he exclaimed. His sudden outburst made everyone stunned in surprise.

"Order! Order!" said Princess Celestia said. "I understand your frustration, child." she said to spike in a motherly voice. "But please calm yourself." she gave him a sad look.

"I...I'm sorry, your majesty." said Spike. "I shouldn't have shouted like that."

"It's alright, Spike. Don't be sorry." said Celestia. "I understand completely."

"Is there anything else you would like to ask me, Shining?" asked Spike sheepishly

"Nope. You can sit back down now." said Shining Armor

As what Shining Armor said, Spike sat back down on his seat.

"Finally, We decide the fate of you, Mane-iac." said Celestia, who pointed her hoof at the unhinged mare. "Now." she said to the jury. "Has the jury reached the defendant?"

Fancy Pants stood up, and announced "We have your majesty. We find the Mane-iac..."

Spike's heart was beating like a set of drums in a thrash metal song

The Mane-iac was also worried, but she didn't show her fear in front of every-pony.

"Not guilty!" said Fancy Pants finally.

At this, there was a tremendous uproar of cheering, with Spike and the Mane-iac in the wildest excitement. They hugged each-other for a long time. The Flim-Flam brothers weren't very happy.

Spike saw the two defeated brothers, and walked up to them. "Why would you even be in this anyway?" he asked

"Well, if you must know: Fancy Pants said that he would pay us a fortune if we win, but since we lost, we don't get any of the money thanks you!" shouted Flam.

"Oh get out of here you little cons!" said Spike pointing the door to the brothers.

"Very well, but this isn't the last time you will see..."

"The Flim-Flam brothers!" the siblings exclaimed. They ran out of the door, laughing maniacally, and they were seen no more.

"Oh don't worry about them, sweetie." said the Mane-iac, who wrapped a hoof around Spike. "They won't bother us anymore. We won."

"yeah, you're right." said the baby dragon. "We should celebrate!"

"Quite right! And I know just the thing." said the Mane-iac.

"What's that?" asked Spike

The Mane-iac wrapped a tendril around Spike's neck. "You'll see. My little angel." she said in a seductive tone, and giggling.

Spike felt a boner rising once again. He covered his boner from public, but the elements of harmony saw it, and began to ind of laugh at it. The Baby dragon's cheeks turned red, and turned around to hide his boner.

"It's okay, Spike." said Twilight. "There's no need to feel embarrassed."

"Yeah, We're your friends." said Rainbow Dash

"Don't feel ashamed Spike. It just means your growing up." said Fluttershy softly. She put a comforting hoof around the baby dragon, and gave him a soft kiss on his forehead, making the elements, and the Mane-iac say "Aww..."

"Thanks, guys." said Spike. "Thanks again for helping me.

"No problem, partner." said Applejack. "Always happy to help a good friend like you." she pulled Spike into a very caring hug for a few seconds, and the baby dragon hugged back at her. Every-pony else joined in, including the Mane-iac.

Celestia and Luna walked up to the group with Shining Armor in-between them.

"Spike." said Celestia. "I'm not mad about you about that out burst. I promise."

"Really?" asked Spike

"Sure." said Celestia. "Come here." Spike walked up to her, and gave her and Luna a very loving hug.

"Come on guys, let's go home." said Spike, who broke his hug with the princess'. "See you soon, your majesties." he said to the princess'.

"Bye-bye." the princess' both exclaimed

Every-pony then went back to their normal lives and their own personal tasks back in Ponyville
