"Twilight, how much longer are you gonna be up?" asked the baby dragon, holding his pillow over his eyes, struggling to go to sleep.

"I'm still trying to understand this spell, Spike," replied the exhausted unicorn, rubbing her eyes clean with a magic encased cloth, "It says that with it I can-"

"I have an important date with Rarity tomorrow, can it please wait!?" Spike interrupted.

Twilight gave him an evil eye, but then yielded her anger, remembering that he was only a baby dragon, and realized how she had burned out half of her candles the entire night she studied that one spell. She looked back between the mess of used candles, Spike, her bed, and her book, which seemed to brag at her with the master-level spell mocking her. After shifting her vision between these, she decided it was time to sleep.

“You’re right Spike. I’m sorry to have kept you up,” said Twilight, as she began to levitate the book on her workbench, while simultaneously putting out all of the candle lights with a pinch of her magic. “I should know that some times, there are more important things to than study one spell. Go to sleep now, I’m going to do the same.”

She looked over to the dragon, only to find out that he had passed out moments after the candle light went out. Twilight uttered a slight chuckle, and went over to nuzzle Spike before crawling inside her own bed, thinking that tomorrow would be the day she could master that spell. She had already defeated the queen of the Changelings, and had reformed the master of chaos, Discord. The Elements of Harmony were tucked away in her safe, and nothing could possibly go wrong!

Until she was woken up by the blinding light illuminating the room through a single window. She darted upwards to hear the streak of the meteor as it collided with the library, knocking every book off its shelf, and watched in disbelief as it sailed towards the Everfree Forest. She knew then that everypony would try to make a panic about it, and it was her nagging fear of disorganization that forced her to investigate it herself.

Twilight rushed over to town hall where there was a massive commotion. She noticed that everypony had seemed to literally trot out of bed to complain about the meteor. She could hear all sorts of complaints:

“IT WOKE MY CHILDREN!”

“I HAVE WORK TOMORROW!”

“HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RUN A BED AND BREAKFAST WITHOUT BED REST!?”

“I’M SO ANGRY I’M GOING TO BREAK THIS CART!”

CRASH

“MY CABBAGES!”

Twilight quickly loosened her strain on patience and teleported on stage and fired a bolt of magic into the sky, immediately grabbing everyone’s attention.

“ENOUGH!” Twilight yelled at the top of her lungs.

She turned to the crowd as Mayor Mare stepped onto the platform, curls exposing some pink in her mane. The Mayor cleared her throat, and began to address the crowd, “I have heard your complaints, and will begin to organize an effort to find the problem

Twilight jumped to her feet at the first opportunity to

Meanwhile, uh… er… somewhere?

CEC DESIGNATION: ENGINEER:

ISAAC CLARKE

STATUS: CRITICAL

LOCATION: UNKNOWN

TRACKING RIG…

Isaac woke with a heavy breathing and the sound of his RIG blaring off warnings like a mother fucker.

‘The hell? How am I not dead?’ was the only thing Isaac could think about as his vision slowly progressed back to him as he became aware of his status.

He slowly started to move his hands to lift himself up, finding it rather difficult in his rather bulky Engineer armor set. Isaac gasped in pain as he stumbled forwards into what was now clearly a forest. A forest that seemed almost cartoonish in color and design, he noticed. These thoughts were quickly replaced when he tried to stand, finding it much harder with each breath he took as it rattled his lungs even further.

He noticed that his helmet was on completely, and began to remove it by thought, as he began to asses his situation.

“Okay,” Isaac spoke to himself, “looks like that alien whatever jumped me into some kind of weird planet. Maybe one of their bases or something?”

As he looked around, Isaac began to ponder his own memories, seeing if the Markers still infected his mind as bad as it had during the journey across Tau Volantis, or if it had gotten worse since.

His senses and muscles calmed when he realized that the only thing that haunted him was the memory of destroying that moon-like nightmare, and destroying the Markers, once and for all.

He tried to sigh in relief, but as his smile grew, so did the pain in his everything. Isaac reached for a med pack to heal himself, put could only find clumps of dirt, ammo packs and…

“No way,” stated Isaac in a deadpanned tone, “A Plasma Cutter? Mining grade? Might as well. Never know what might charge at me out… wherever I am.”

Isaac reached for the Plasma Cutter, but fell short when the pain started to settle in further. Isaac held back a cry of pain, only to collapse in a strained effort to reach it. His vision began to fade out around him, his world collapsing, his breaths shortening to hyperventilation, Isaac noticed a small yellow and pink blob form at the edge of his vision.

As he started to fade out, he heard the blob in an innocent young girl’s timid voice, “Wha-what are… What…”

As Isaac’s rig began to call out in massive beeps in rapid succession, Isaac tried desperately to plead to the child, “H-h-he… help me… pl-p-please…”

With that, Isaac collided his head upon the ground, and faded out as his RIG was left on one singular red light on his back, indicating a near death status, leaving himself at the mercy of this young girl.
