TWILIGHT SPARKLE AND SPIKE THE DRAGON STARING IN:

THE MISSING PONY CAPER

It was a bright and sunny day in Ponyville as Twilight Sparkle woke up bright and early to get ready for a new day to spend with her friends. “A little too early.....” Twilight remarked looking out her window as the sun hadn't even come up yet. However she was awake so she figured she had no reason to go to back to sleep. As she looked out her window she noticed a pony wrapped in a bunch of cloths making it impossible to see who it was, but what made it suspicious was the fact the pony was dragging a large sack that looked as if something living was kicking inside of it.

Twilight immediately rushed down the stairs and out her front door to confront the pony but there were already gone. “I must be imaging things....wake up girl! You're seeing things!” Twilight thought to herself letting out a sigh.

Later that day Twilight headed into town once the sun was up and Ponyville was bursting with activity today. “Wow. What's going on?” Twilight asked one pony who was looking around.

“Another pony has gone missing!” One pony said. “I thought it was over!” said another one. “Not this again!” said a third.

Just then Applejack came trotting up to the scene and saw the missing poster.” Another one? Why the hay does this keep happenin?” Applejack said with a sense of worry on her face then turned to see Twilight. “oh hey thar, Twilight.” Applejack said with a smile.

“I'm still new to Ponyville but does this happen often?” Twilight asked nervously.

“I wouldn't worry too much about it sugarcube. This kind of thing hasn't happened in years. It's just probably somepony who got lost in evergreen forest.” Applejack said however her voice wasn't all that convincing.

“I think we should investigate this. Princess Celesta would want to know if something has happened to her subjects.” Twilight replied.

“Now Twilight. I wouldn't be stickin my nose where it don't belong now. Leave this up to ponyville's finest. They'll figure it out.” Applejack replied and trotted off.

Twilight however decided she would try to figure out this missing pony caper herself. After all if it were one of Applejack's friends she would be worried about them wouldn’t she? Twilight immediately went back to her home to find Spike whom was just waking up. “Spike. I need you to take a note and send it to princess celesta.” Twilight said at which point Spike pulled out a paper scroll with a quill.

“Dear princess Celesta. I am writing to you out of concern for the ponies of Ponyville. There has been a mysterious disappearance and according to ponies around town this isn't the first time. Therefore I am going to perform my own investigation to get to the bottom of these disappearances. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.” Twilight said finishing at which point Spike rolled up the scroll and blew fire on it sending it directly to princess celesta.

Moments later spike gave a loud belch at which point a rolled up scroll appeared from within the magical flames. Spike opened up the scroll and began to read it.

“To my Faithful student Twilight Sparkle, I too have heard of these mysterious disappearances and am concerned myself but I am unsure if it is such a good idea for a single pony such as yourself to get involved with such things. However I approve of your concern and therefore grant you permission to investigate this incident but use caution. Your proud mentor, Princess celesta.” Spike said and rolled up the scroll.

“Right. Lets get investigating.” Twilight said with a smile.

Ten minuets later.....

“Where do I even begin?” Twilight asked aloud in a discouraged tone.

“Well how about the place you said you saw that mysterious pony heading?” Spike suggested at which point Twilight's eyes lit up.

“Of course!” Twilight then charged in the direction that the pony was going earlier this morning which oddly lead her to Pinkie Pie's store.

“Why would it lead me here?” Twilight thought to herself but either way she entered the store and was immediately greeted Pinkie Pie who was smiling as usual.

“Hey, Twilight! Did you come to try some cupcakes? I just made them this morning! Yep! And I did a great job making them!” Pinkie Pie said with a smile hopping around Twilight.

“Sure, and maybe you could tell me if you saw anypony come by here early this morning.” Twilight asked her friend as she took a cupcake off the tray and bit into it.

“Oh? Nope! I didn't see anyone this morning! Why you ask Twilight?” Pinkie Pie asked curiously.

“Well a pony disappeared this morning and I think it may be connected to the pony I saw in cloths this morning carrying a sack towards this place.” Twilight replied and took one last bite of the cupcake finishing it.

“Ooohh.....hmmm...nope I don't know anypony who looks like that!” Pinkie Pie replied.

Just then Rarity opened the door and came in. “Why hello Twilight! You're looking absolutely stunning!” Rarity said with a smile before turning to Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie Pie. Is that special package ready yet?” Rarity asked Pinkie Pie.

“Yep! Let me go get it!” Pinkie Pie replied dashing to the back of her store.

“Special package?” Twilight asked curiously.

“Oh yes, well you know...I just love Pinkie Pie's cooking. So I make a special order now and then.” Rarity replied with a smile.

“Okay. Say Rarity. Do you mind if I come over and ask you a few questions later today?” Twilight asked in reply.

Just then Pinkie Pie came back with a gift wrapped red box. “Hear you go Rarity!” Pinkie Pie replied with a smile.

“Oh good gracious. I would Twilight but I am going to be very busy today and won't be able to have any visitors.” Rarity replied with a nervous smile then turned to Pinkie Pie.

“Now you did make sure the order was done right this time?” Rarity asked with stern stare.

“Yep! I even steam-dried them!” Pinkie Pie replied hoping about.

“Steam-dried?” Twilight asked raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

“Oh, well Pinkie Pie makes my orders a special way Twilight. I simply love my....-Cupcakes!” Pinkie Pie chimed in with a smile cutting off Rarity. “Yes. I simply love my cupcakes...steam-dried...” Rarity said with a smile firing a annoyed look at Pinkie Pie unknown to Twilight.

“Well I must be going now. Nice to see you Twilight.” Rarity said clearly looking as if she was in a rush,left the store, and closed the door behind her.

“Well Pinkie if you see anything suspicious let me know.” Twilight said as she opened the store door.

“Will do!” Pinkie Pie replied with a smile as Twilight left the store.

“Well that was a dead end.....” Twilight thought dismally to herself.

“Don't worry Twilight. I'm sure you'll stumble upon a clue any moment!” Spike said with a smile as they walked down the ally behind Pinkie Pie's store searching for clues store when Spike tripped and fell.

“Spike watch your footing would-” Twilight said with an annoyed look only to be cut off mid-sentence by what she saw with a gasp of horror.

The next thing just about all of Ponyville could hear was Twilight's ear piercing scream....
