The Dreamlands
Fluttershy
Load Full StoryNext ChapterI smiled as I flew effortlessly through the breeze, my wings forming gentle curves as they flapped. The field below was plain and green, and in the distance the only memorable thing was a large, bushy tree. The horizon was deep crimson, yet the higher it got, the more the colour faded.
Red... orange..... yellow.... purple..... blue.
A few gray-and-white clouds were scattered aimlessly around the sky, obviously not altered by a weather pony. As I flew closer to the tree, more became visible in the distance. Thousands of pink, magenta and yellow flowers covered the usually green grass, making the ground look more like the colourful scribbles of a child than the beautiful curves of a hillside. A few jagged rocks pierced the almost-perfect field, going from deep gray to rusty brown at the tip. Pine trees lined the horizon, and the silhouettes of the mountains in the distance towered over me. A beautiful melody, carried by the breeze, caught my attention. I swooped down low, and watched a butter-yellow Pegasus sing to a herd of animals. A blue parrot with a black beak, a golden lion with bronze eyes, a silver elephant with beady black eyes, a leopard with small, perfectly arranged spots, A pink flamingo with beautiful white wings, a giraffe who's head reached the clouds, a toucan and two small robins, who were floating elegantly around her, tweeting along.
The touching scene caused a soft smile to be painted onto my face. Such love. The world around me began to disappear. The dream was ending.
