The Crystal Heart is No Match Now
Chapter 4: A New Routine
Previous ChapterNext ChapterHeads turn as some ponies gawk at Chrysalis while she walks in through the front entrance of the school, her guards discouraging this of course. She got into line and a group of mares let her cut in front of them, maybe out of fear, her position in power, or both and this continued. Ponies would turn around and let Chrysalis cut them in line so she got her two slips pretty quickly. "567. Heh, that's my lucky number." Chrysalis chuckled to herself and went to the elevator. After another event where everyone let her in front of them, she asked the colt who gives the floor number info. where she should go. She pressed 6, got to her floor, and found her room.
When she opened the door the entire room was bare, nothing was in there except the littered wood floor and the feeling of loneliness. [2 hours later] The room was filled with Chrysalis's things. Her master bed and everything else just as gigantic was flown in through the balcony, the wall was repainted in a sparkly black, she hung up anything she could put on the wall after she was sure it was dried, and set up her new laptop on her mahogany desk. She let the strange scent of fresh paint that was still lingering in the air tickle her noise. She got up from her comfy sofa in her room and put down an incense of mint and ghost orchid. Chrysalis lit the sticks and breathed it in, she wished she could grow just one of those extremely rare flowers in the dark land of changelings. She could here the guard's light growl at a passerby through the door. She took the time to scan the room, wanting to see if all of her stuff from her old room was there, all of her countless flower posters were there, her mini-kitchen and living room, plus her stuffed Wendingo, Reaper.
She walked over to her schedule, pretty much the same as any other schools, and thought to herself. "I wonder if I will ever see that strange horned foal again...mom did always say that I need to get close to others to receive proper respect and loyalty." She decided to explore the campus to make sure she could get her perfect shortcut to her classes which was tomorrow. She opened the door and informed the guards where she was going."But princess we couldn't stand it if anything were to happen out there! Especially with this place crawling with villainous ponies!" Chrysalis just smiled a reassuring smile and just for fun, trotted over to her balcony's railing and lifted herself on to it backwards. She slowly let herself fall from it, she could feel the gravity pulling her to the ground, her holes making the lovely whistling sound they made in lovely fresh air, and with the wind whipping wildly into her mane, at the last second she lifted herself out of the position in a burst of energy. She did a backflip and relaxed herself on the sidewalk below, then proceeded with her tour.
Sombra watched the stunt from his window, his jaw dropped open, which was embarrassingly noticed by his roommate. He exploded into a fit of laughter soon falling off his bed and holding his stomach, Sombra glared at him with the scrunch face blushing. "Dude! Are you checking out the new princess!? She would never go for you! Never less date you! She's a freaky changeling!" He just frowned at this and decided to visit the library of this place, surely the annoying racist foal won't follow him there. He retrieved his room key and went out in search of the library. After getting out of his door, he went through a bunch of twists and turns in the seemingly endless hallways, he finally found himself before a metal door. Sombra opened it and was met with a massive room, bookshelves lined with ancient and new books. He could smell the mustiness and dust from history's collection of scripts of famous old plays to very gory wars. He paced over to the books of unicorn and maybe even dark alicorn spells. He took out Rascal and set him down onto the ground in front of him, the mouse stumbled around from the sudden blinding light. After waiting for him to readjust to the light, Sombra flipped through the pages and found the spell he was looking for, his horn glowed bright red and was shot at Rascal.
Rascal was still stumbling around like a drunk and then started to speak."What did you just cast on me!? Wait how am I talking!? Wait, can you understand me!? ....You can right?" Sombra nodded his head and took out his note pad and wrote down what he assumed was results of the spell. Behind the bookshelf Chrysalis watched him playing with his pet with interest. She took out Reaper and decided to bring him to life, after straining out some mana she was able to successfully cast the spell. The small Wendingo happily pranced around at it's new rebirth into a living being. Chrysalis awkwardly picked it up to check it's gender, after realizing she could just use a simple mind spell. "Okay girl, I want you to put me on your back and fly me around!" She whispered into her ear, she joyfully obeyed and lifted her up into the air, somehow not grabbing anyone's attention. Only about 5 feet in the air she slipped and fell, right above Sombra Rascal and Reaper looking at this moment in horror.
