As night fell upon the small town of Ponyville, all of Celestia's little ponies were in bed sleeping their day off.
All was silent and peaceful, except for the diamond dog that was sneaking around town. This dog's name was Rover and he had come to Ponyville for one reason and one reason only. To get revenge on Rarity.

He didn't look at the clothes that were around him at all. He just followed the scent until the source seemed to come from the chest that was in front of him. He popped it open to find that it was full to the brim with gems of many colors and sizes.

Rarity had heard the noise and decided to find out what it was. She didn't expect to find a diamond dog in her home let alone one she had seen before.
"What do you think you're doing?" Rarity yelled at the diamond dog.
Rover stopped and with a small moment of realization he remembered what he was doing and who the pony in front of him was. He quickly did what anybody would do in a situation such as him. He ran.

Rover groaned as he woke up. With one of his paws he massaged his head to ease the pain a bit. His vision was a bit blurred, but he could tell that he wasn't in the room with the gems.
