Chapter 1
It was a cold fall night in Equestria. The wind was blowing, the trees were swaying, and I was freezing my ass off. "Where the hell is she. She was supposed to meet me here an hour ago." I was just about to leave to go find her when I heard the flap of wings and my name being carried by the wind, "Hey Storm Cloak, Im here," she exlaimed as loud as she could to be heard over the wind. "Really now, I thought you were just a specter here to haunt me because you struck by lightning and died on the way here." Way to be optomistic, what would you do if she had, I thought to myself. "Dont get snappy at me, you know how hard it is for a pegesus to fly during these kind of wind storms, even Rainbow Dash has a hard time and I have the same, if not better, flying skill than her," she argued. "I know, I know. You dont have to remind me, I was being sarcastic," he said as he puched her slightly in her front left leg. Man have we been through alot, he thought to himself.
It was just one of your usual summer days in Equestria. I was walking outside of the school for our recess time. I was heading to the swing when i heard a whole bunch of voices. I went to go look to see what they were and I found a mob of kids circled around one filly. A boy not that much older than me. They were calling him a whole bunch of names like sun "sun hater" and the usual "blank flank". I was curious to why they were calling him sun hater. Who would hate the sun. I stood there for a few more moments before I got so mad I pushed my way through the mob if fillies till i was standing over the kid. He had a dark blue body colour with a black mane with blue streaks and sorta the same tail. He was a unicorn. I turned to face the crowd oof fillies and started to shout, "What is everponies problem. Why are all you ganged up on one filly calling him names and such. You all need to leave before I remind you why they call me what they call me. Just ask my mother what I did to our last house when I got mad." They all got scared, I think a few of them pissed themselves and ran off without another word. I turned back to the scared unicorn and helped him up. He introduced himself as Storm Cloak, I knew I heard that name somewhere before but I couldnt place it. I shrugged the question out of my head and introduced myself, "Hi Storm Cloak, my name is Shadow Storm. Wanna be friends."
"What did you want me here for Shadow Storm," I said in a somewhat annoyed voice because ive been waiting for hours pretty much to see why she wanted me here for. "Princess Luna gave me direct orders to have you and me go on a classified mission for only the princess of the moon and anyone this quest involves to know about. She said it was very..." I interupted her. "WHAT! Give me just a second." I walked off a bit and used the mirror call spell and waited a fe minutes and Luna picked up. " What do you need..." I interupted her too," What the fuck gives you the right to send us on some top secret mission your sister doesnt even know about and not at least give us a fucking warning. Do you have any idea how dangerous and stupid that is. You better explain it all right now or im going straight to celestia with this." She sat ther looking supprised but qiukly regained her posture. "First off thats no way to talk to the princess of equestria and you mother. Second, thats no way to talk for a 16 year old boy. Third, if I didnt think it was I couldnt trust you I would have told either of you about this. I need you too because you are the only two I know I can trust right now. JUst listen to what Shadow has to say, I have to go. She has all your equipment and instructions. Ill speak to you later. I love you Storm Cloack." She waved away the mirror and I was just standing alone. I stood there in silence for a few minutes before I went back.
"What did she say?" I look at her with a flustered look before I realize it and change it really fast to a happy one. "Oh nothing, just that you had everything we need to know. Lets go to your place to figure things out. Ill put up a barrier around your house so no one can hear us or bother us." She looked at me with a worried face and then started blushing, she must have felt her cheeks get red because she quickly turned her head away amd said, "Ok." Wow she is the weirdest person Ive met ever, but I wouldnt have it any other way. We hudled up side by side and I used a telepotation spell to get us to her house. Without skipping a beat I quickly changed the spell to one that mutes everyone inside from the outside world and a spell that causes anyone not permitted to be turned around and forget what they were comming here for. "Ok, now no one can bother us now, the wards are up." She looked around her wall by her bed for a few minutes until I heard a click and she snaps her head up and says, "There, that should do it." I was about to ask what when the wall starts to move revealing a secret room.
"Wow." It was all I could say, the room was bigger than her house. "Luna gave this to you using the technology we got from the Doctor didnt she." She looked at me with a big smile and says yes. What am I going to do on this mission, I cant protect her and me if its as dangerous as it sounds. If I try to prorect her and die she wont forgive me and mom wont either, if she does the same to me I wont forgive her, this is the worst. "Did you hear me at all Storm Cloak?" She looked a little annoyed. "Im sorry, I wasnt paying attention. I was just thinking about other stuff related to the mission." I dont think she is buying it for one bit. "Whatever." She bought it? Yes! "Ok so listen to what I have to say. Luna gave the instuctions on what we need to find, a general idea of where to find it, passports, weapons, food, water, armour, and state certificates that says we are permited to carry this stuff over anyborder we want and they cant confinscate it. This is great." She looked so excited but all I could think of was what could go wrong on this mission besides Dying. I look at her and say, "Ok, lets go to bed and look at all of this in the morning ok. Im beat." She looks at me with relief and says, "Ok. See you in the morning, oh, you can sleep in the guest bedroom, and dont forget to take down the wards. Goodnight." I shout from the guest room, "Ok, goodnight." Finally, some rest.
