Chrysalis the Queen, a changeling, trotted around the large room in the castle. Like most changelings, she was black with holes in her legs and blue mane, and bug wings along with a jagged horn. Only this changeling was large, and her horn was extremely large, too. It had blood stained on it from battles she had fought to protect Equestria. Her blue mane, which drooped beautifully over her regal and kind face, was radiating with nervousness and excitedness.
The doors on the left side of Chrysalis opened, and Daydream Sun, the other Queen, came in, along with a gust of wind and a bright flash.
" Must you always enter dramatically, Sun?" Chrysalis joked as she stopped trotting to look at the regal mare.
Daydream Sun, or Sun, for short, was a teeny bit shorter than Chrysalis, with a white coat, a sun that glimmered when she moved for a Cutie Mark, and a kindly face with blue eyes, which highlighted the best part of Sun: Her mane and tail. Her mane and tail seemed to be made of real fire, as it had pieces of blue in it. They started out completely blue, and they moved like fire. Now, you'd think her mane and tail would burn the fur off her subjects, but in reality, it was nothing like that. It did give off a little heat, especially in the blue parts.
Chrysalis used a spell to trick Sun into thinking she was worried about the party by turning her mane gray, which, for Changelings, meant she was worried or nervous.
Sun looked at Chrysalis, or Chryssie, as everypony preferred, whose mane had fully changed from blue to gray from the spell.
Sun raised a questioning eyebrow. " Chrysalis, what's wrong?" Her voice was filled with concern. Chryssie looked at Sun and flew over with her large insect wings buzzing and rapidly moving.
Green eyes met blue eyes. " Look. Out. Side." The green eyed one with cat pupils said. The blue eyes darted toward the window across the room.
" THAT'S TODAY!!!???" Sun screamed. " GET ALL THE GUARDS! QUICK! GET PARTY PLANNERS! HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN!?!?" She continued to scream until Chryssie shut her up by using her magic to zip Sun's mouth close.
" I already planned the Welcoming Party for Nightmare Moon." Chryssie said gently as she let go of her fellow Queen's grip on her mouth while smiling at her little prank and her mane returning to blue.
Sun flew over to the window. " Chryssie..." " Don't freak out. She will arrive in a few hours, which gives us time to help with the food preparing," Chryssie said.
Sun thought about Nightmare Moon, or Mooney, as she used to call her (Daydream Sun was the only living being on Equestria allowed to call her that). Mooney was a black mare with a ethereal mane & tail, much like Sun's, only it was basically smoke. Smoke that was a deep night purple with a lighter purple outline. For a Cutie Mark, she had a teal Crescent Moon against a midnight purple that looked like it was splattered on there by an Earth Pony trying to use her ear to paint. The last time Sun & Chryssie had saw her, she was in full battle armor, wearing a helmet, neck brace, and shoes, all titanium silver.
A bright purple beam shot through the window, breaking Sun's train of thought. " She's coming!!!" Chryssie bounced up and down. " Guess we can't help with the food..." Sun remarked as several ponies off all different kinds raced to the door, pushing carts full of delicious-looking food.
Chryssie and Sun walked outside to a crowd full of ponies. They both took their places, as usual, on the sides of the crowd, which was eagerly awaiting Nightmare Moon. The sky turned from day to night as the purple beam grew darker and darker, finally going away as it became nighttime.
There was smoke that followed a blinding flash and a deafening BOOM that greeted the crowd and the two Queens. A regal figure walked out of the smoke.
The ponies were about to meet Nightmare Moon once again.
A white, tall alicorn walked across Sun and Chrysalis's path. The alicorn had bee wings, a yellow mane and tail that acted like honey with a sharp point protruding from her tail, and a minituare honey hive with tiny moving bees buzzing, their paths making hearts around the hive hanging the alicorn's white horn with a black tip that turned yellow where the bee hive was.
As Sun adjusted her eyes to the dark room, all she could see was tunnels. Empty, long, dark, brooding tunnels. Or so it seemed. "Can they see us?" Sun inquired. "And are we underground?"
Chrysalis looked around and turned to a tunnel just ahead on their right, following the path of the alicorn. "No, we're just merely spirits, and yes, we are."
Sun nodded. "Cool, but... what is this place, and who was that Beecorn?" Chrysalis turned to Sun. If looks could kill, Sun would have been laying dead on the ground. "She's not a Beecorn," Chrysalis snarled, saying "Beecorn" with particular hate. "She's me."

They walked down the silent path, their hooves clopping against the muddy ground.
Finally, they both came to a circular room with a rising stage of mud, what everything else here seemed to be made of. The white Chrysalis was talking about how to get more honey to the hive quickly for the newborn larvae to eat by sending out everyone that wanted to, no matter what gender, atop the stage addressing the rom filled with bee-like ponies.
The Beeponies had a pony-like build and bee-like wings in the pony part, that was covered in completely black, sleek, shiny, fur, with a large abdomen that was covered in yellow black-striped fur that had weird transparent pink sacks slightly hanging down from most of them and large, menacing stingers pointing upwards covered with their tail, though the tip on most Beeponies could be seen.
Some, however, had their sacks filled with yellow, sticky-looking liquid that made the sacks hang from the abdomen more.
Sun and Chrysalis flew over the crowd and landed on either side of the white Chrysalis. When she was done all the Beeponies nodded to each other, accepting the good plan the Queen had made and flew off, exiting through the single tunnel they had used coming in.
"Chryssie" "Hmm?" "I wanna check up on Mooney, can we exit out of the flashback-thing or whatever?" Chrysalis nodded and her horn produced a right green flash, sending them back to her yellow room.
"Sooo... do you want me to teleport you to 'Mooney'?" Chrysalis asked just as lightning struck her flank. Chrysalis jumped up and yelped. "What was THAT?" Sun giggled and said, "Mooney put a curse on the name "Mooney" if anyone besides me said it," Chrysalis rolled her eyes while smiling. "Well, c'mon, we better hurry to the Medical Center in the castle, 'cause I might need my Royal Flank checked out by some hot stallion in a doctor suit.." Sun rolled her eyes as they walked to the Medical Center.
Nightmare Moon walked out looking like a pony with anorexia and collapsed. " Mooney!" Sun screamed as she ran over to cradle her Chryssie buzzed over and said, " Medical Pony STAT!"
Sun cradled Mooney's head until the medical ponies arrived saying they could take it from there. Sun's mane turned blue and swirled fora second and her eyes flashed. The Pegasus Medical pony addressing her screamed, trying to find ways to run away since his eyes were completely white, as he was trapped in her spell.
Chryssie turned her horn toward the medical pony and a bright yellow flash cured him. He zoomed past Sun narrowly missing her now mostly-blue mane. Chryssie got on the ground as she told the crowd to leave.
Sun put her head in her forelegs. Chryssie used her magic to lift up Sun's head. " They'll heal her." Chryssie assured Sun.
" I know they will, Sun," " Chryssie?" " Yeah?" " Just a random question..what were you before you were a changeling?"

Chrysalis wasn't always a changeling. Before she met Mooney and Sun, she was something else. But she became corrupted right before she met them. They had taken the corruption away, revealing a bare Chrysalis, who looked nothing like the Chrysalis before corruption.
Chrysalis opened a door in her room full of honey-colored things and honey-related items.
" Go in" Sun walked in cautiously. It was very foggy. "Welcome to my past..." Chrysalis said as they entered a giant underground hive with honey dripping from the ceiling.
