A Start of a New Life

The next day Brave Racer and Flare Flicker wake up to Shadow Wolf screaming they come over to him Flare Flicker says worried. "What's wrong?" then he says in a calm voice realizing what Shadow was screaming about. "Oh we are steel stallions."
Shadow Wolf gives him a look that would kill, "how are you so calm!?"
Flare Flicker was just about to leave the room but stops and looks at him, "well it's not like we can do anything to get back right now."

Shadow Wolf sighs, "I guess... I don't want to be late for my JOB." he says in a sarcastic voice, as he gets up and goes to Twilight's house.

Brave Racer smiles, "I'm going to Applejacks house." Flare Flicker nods, and then he heads back to bed for a little while longer as Brave Racer leaves.

Shadow Wolf go's to Twilight's house and she is happy to see that he is early, "well I see you keep your word."

Shadow Wolf nods his voice sounding depressed, "yeah."

Twilight looks at him, "let's go to the lab. Spike we will be down in the lab if anything happens."

They go down to the same lab that she used on Pinkie Pie before, she hooks him up putting a helmet on his head and cuffs on his hooves. "All right now lift this cup up with your magic."

Shadow Wolf uses his power to lift up the cup, the readings show that he doesn't use allot of power to do it, it's as if as a baby alicorn did it. Twilight looks shocked but she asks him. "all right Now lift that big desk." he moves it and the readings show the same his magic is as strong as a baby alicorn... Twilight looks even more shocked but thinks that the readings have to be wrong and she changes out a few things with the components.

A little later Flare Flicker gets up and meets up with Rainbow Dash she shows him how to take out the clouds and leave little ones that don't have rain in them. After she gets done showing him that. Fluttershy see's them and says. "Hi Flare Flicker... Hi Rainbow."

Flare Flicker waves, "Hi Fluttershy, you know I always wanted a pet."

Flutter Shy gets excited, "Really I can help you find the right pet!"

Flare Flicker looks at Rainbow like can I go? Rainbow sighs, "Go on I was going to get some training in today any ways."
Flare Flicker smiles, "Thanks Rainbow." He fly's down to Fluttershy.
Rainbow fly's off saying out to herself, "Wow! I Can't believe that he is into Fluttershy like that, and Fluttershy actually being brave that was even more of a shock." she is not really paying any attention where she is going and what kind of tricks she is doing she is just doing them. "What does Fluttershy have that I don't?" she does a move that cramp up her wing and she starts to fall she scream. Lucky for Rainbow Dash she was flying over Sweet Apple Acres, Brave Racer hears her scream he runs out to where she is falling down at he jumps in the air and caches her. He hits the ground hard.

Brave Racer opens his eyes slowly, saying in a voice that sounds like he had the wind knocked out of him. "Are you all right Rainbow Dash?"

Rainbow looks at him, his arm still around her she blushes. "Wow thank you Brave Racer, are you hurt?"

Brave Racer smiles a little, "I think I'm all right." he lets her go and she gets up off him, he tries to get up but he falls back in pain. "That really hurt."

AppleJack runs over to them, "Are you two all right?"

Rainbow looks at AppleJack, "We need to get Brave Racer to the hospital."

Pinkie Pie comes up to them, "Hi!"

Rainbow Dash looks at Pinkie, "Go and tell Flare Flicker and Shadow Wolf that Brave Racer is going to the hospital."

Pinkie Pie nods, "Oh my goodness, is he all right, is." She go's rambling on and on.

Both Rainbow and AppleJack say at the same time, "Pinkie!"

Pinkie Pie says, "Oh sorry I'll get them." she runs off to go get them.

Meanwhile at Twilights house she tried everything but the reading is still the same, she walks back up to the library. Shadow Wolf looks at her, "So what wore the results?"

Twilight looks at him, "Well I think I need to get new stuff."

Shadow looks confused, "All right then Miss Sparkle."

Twilight giggles a little, "you can call me just Twilight."

Shadow gives her a vacant look, "would it be all right if I look through the library?"

Twilight nods, "yeah go for it, I need to talk to Spike any way. Spike come with me." They head up to her room as Shadow starts to look through the books.

Spike looks at Twilight "what’s wrong with you Twilight?"

Twilight saying in a quiet tone of voice, "Shadow Wolf is as powerful as a baby alicorn,” “which is the next level after me."

Spike looks confused, "does that mean, his magic stronger than yours?'

Twilight nods, "exactly Spike we need to send a letter to Celestia."

"There is no need to do that Twilight Sparkle." as Twilight turns around to look at Celestia, Luna is standing next to her.
Twilight is shocked to see them, "What are you both doing here is something wrong?"

Celestia nods some, "In a way there may be something wrong... I felt a power near Ponyville."
Before Celestia can finish what she was about to say about what she thought the power is, Twilight interrupts. "Oh yeah I know about that and the stallion responsible for that, he teleported himself and his friends to Ponyville but over shot it to the Everfree Forest."

Both Celestia and Luna are shock on what Twilight just told them and Twilight goes on saying. "He all so is here right now."

Celestia and Luna look down to where he is at Shadow wolf the Twilight goes on to say. "And his power is as strong as a baby Alicorn."

Celestia looks at her, "Are you sure on that Twilight?"

Twilight sighs, "Well I am going to replace all the components in the machine, then I'll know for sure."

Luna says, "Have they been given you any reason to think that they are bad?"

Twilight looks down, "well no they all seem like nice stallions, but Shadow Wolf the one you both just sow seems more distant than the other two. I think he doesn’t like it here too much."

Celesta nods, "well you watch them. Twilight try to be friends with them, and if you feel like they are evil. You let us know right way."

Twilight nods, and then the door fly’s open and Pinkie Pie rushes into the library yelling. "Brave Racer is hurt! Brave Racer is HURT!"

Twilight comes running down to where they are at, "what happen?"

Pinkie Pie does a little dance, "Brave Racer is hurt."

Shadow Wolf says in a calm voice, "Well I need to get some glasses and a book for him."

Twilight looks at him, "How are you so calm?"

Shadow Wolf looks at her, "Miss Sparkle this happens all the time he hurts himself all the time. He likes to read books and he need glasses to read, all through I would need to enchant them to make it his prescription... would you help me do that part Miss Sparkle? My Magic knowledge is rather limited."

Twilight is a little shocked when he says that his knowledge on magic is limited, "yeah sure lets go."
Shadow Wolf polls a book off the shelf "may I borrow this for him?'

Twilight nods and Pinkie Pie says "well I still have Flare Flicker to tell." she runs off.
Shadow and Twilight go to The House of Frames to get Brave Racer glasses, Twilight looks at him. "So what color frames would he like?"
Shadow picks out a square frame, orange in colored. "I think he will like these one's and it well look nice on him, he like square frames."

Twilight enchants them "I enchanted them now, before Rarity can say anything about it."
Then they go to the hospital they get there before Flare Flicker does, Shadow walks in to Brave Racer's room. "Hey man you alright?"

Brave Racer smiles, "I'm fine just a few bruises nothing broken."
Shadow Wolf smiles, "Tell me what happen."
Rainbow Dash looks down, "It was entirely my fault... I owe you one Brave Racer if it wasn't for you I would of been hurt badly."
Brave Racer smiles, "I would do it for any pony in a heartbeat." he looks at Shadow wolf and see's a bag. "What you got there?"

Shadow Wolf polls out the glasses with his magic and the book, "I thought you would want this." he puts the glasses on him with his magic and the book in his hooves.

Brave Racer smiles, 'Thank you."
AppleJack looks a little confused, “I didn't think you needed glasses."
Brave Racer put the book beside him and looks at her, "I need them to read, other than that I don't need them." he takes the glasses off and puts them on the table beside him.
Twilight smiles feeling the friend ship between Shadow Wolf and Brave Racer, Flare Flicker comes running in behind her and runs passed her, "Sorry I was hanging out with Flutter Shy."

Both Flare Flicker and Shadow Wolf laugh at him, Flare Flicker looks between them. "What’s so funny?"
Shadow smiles still kind of laughing, "It's nothing bro."
Brave Racer looks at Flare Flicker, "I have to stay here for the night, what are you going to do?"
Flare Flicker looks down, "I don't know."
Twilight looks confused, "what’s wrong?"
Shadow wolf looks at her. "Flare Flicker doesn’t like dark confined places, and he's not used to our new house yet he won’t be able to sleep without knowing Brave Racer is there.

Twilight thinks for a moment and then remembers what Celestia asked her to do, and then comes up with a good idea. "Why don't we have a campout he will be outside and it won’t feel like a confined place?"
Shadow nods, "That’s not a bad idea, but we don't know a good place to do that."
Twilight nods, "That’s why I said we." she holds on to Flutter Shy, "Out side of Flutter Shy's house, would be the perfect place and we all can get to know itch other better."
Shadow Wolf looks at her, "All of us?"
Twilight nods, "Yes. You, Flare Flicker, Flutter Shy."
Pinkie interrupts. "ME!"
Twilight smiles, "Yes you Pinkie, AppleJack and Rainbow."
Applejack interrupts, "I can't I need to get a good night sleep. I got a lot of work tomorrow."
Brave Racer sighs, "Sorry I can't be there."
Apple shakes her head no, "Don't worry about it sugar cube, you just get better and I'll come and see you in the afternoon before you get released."
Rainbow nods, "And I can't make it either, I going to come here. right way when I get up."
Twilight looks at them, "well alright then just us 5."
Rarity comes in all dramatic, "sorry I’m late, when Pinkie came and told me I was in the middle of something. Then I had to figure out what to wear, are you alright?'
Brave Racer looks at Rarity, "I'll be alright."
Rarity looks at Shadow Wolf and gets close to him, "and what about you I heard that Twilight was testing on you.'
Shadow Wolf backs up a little, “I’m fine."
Twilight gives Rarity a look, “He was just hooked up to a reading machine... Oh Rarity did you want to go camping with us?"
Rarity looks at her like she is crazy, "no thank you, I don't want to get dirty."
Shadow Wolf says, "Ladies can I ask you all to leave for a moment I would like to talk to Brave Racer and Flare Flicker alone."
Twilight looks at him. "Oh no problem Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, and I well get things ready at Fluttershy’s house." they leave the room.
Flare Flicker and Brave Racer look at him, Shadow Wolf sighs. "Guys I looked through the library a little I haven't found away back yet."
Flare Flicker smiles a little, "It's alright Shadow Wolf."
Brave Racer says happy, "Yeah I can't speak for both of you but I'm actually happy here."
As the guys talk about that Twilight tells all the girls to follow her. "Girls I need to tell you something." They all look at her Twilight sighs and tells them what the princes told her. Tell them that she needs to get new parts for her machine so she can be sure on the results she got from testing Shadow Wolf but she doesn’t tell them the results.
Then Fluttershy say kind of asking at the same time, "So that’s why you wanted the camp out?"
Twilight nods, "yes, I need all your help. Can I count on all of you to be there friends too and help me figure out if there bad or not?"
They all agree then Applejack says, "I really don't think any of them are bad, and I think me and Brave Racer are all ready friends."
Fluttershy nods "yeah same goes for me and Flare Flicker."
They all look at Fluttershy; she looks at them and gets a little nervous. "What?"
Rainbow Dash says teasingly. "I think he wants to be more then friends."
Fluttershy blushes Twilight says, "Ok back on topic, I think there all nice but I and the princess think they may be hiding something. What that is we don't know. So reason one to be friends with all them but be careful they may be evil."
AppleJack points out, "If they are evil then why would Brave Racer hurt himself by saving Rainbow?"
Twilight sighs, "It’s Shadow Wolf test results that has me questioning them, but after Brave Racer did that. You are right on the fact why would he do that? So it making me re question my previous thoughts but I thought I would let you know what I am thinking."
Rainbow looks at her, "and why can't we know the results?"
Twilight sighs again, "Like I said I want to be sure on it 100 % so that’s why I will have to get new parts."
They all nod and agree to help out but they all wanted to be friends with the guys any way so it wasn't to hard to agree.

A little will later at the camp out Twilight and Shadow Wolf is putting out the sleeping bags. All so Fluttershy is still helping Flare Flicker get a pet he picks out a flying squirrel and Flare Flicker decides to name him Nutterbutter.
Pinkie Pie shoots out her sleeping bag from her party canon Twilight shakes her head then looks at Shadow Wolf, "Well I'm going to have to get new parts for the machine. So it may be a while before its ready."
Shadow Wolf looks at her, "Can I help you find everything and maybe help you put it together."
Twilight smiles, "I would like that"
Then Shadow Wolf asks, "Then maybe all so you can teach me more magic spells"
Twilight nods, "Alright you want me to show you how to make the camp fire?"
Shadow nods, "yeah. we need some branches right." she nods and he go's and get's the branches."
After they get the fire going and all 5 of them sit around it, Pinkie Pie ask, "Scary stories!?"
Fluttershy says scared, "please no."

Shadow Wolf says, "how about then." he makes 3D shadow papists, with his magic he makes a little story out them.
Fluttershy smiles as the little shadow puppet of the bunny runs around her and she says. "That’s so cool and cute."
Shadow Wolf looks at her, "Just a part of who I am."
Pinkie Pie says excited, "So that's what your cutie mark means."
Shadow Wolf nods.
Twilight asks, "So Guys tell us about your self's."
Flare Flicker looks at her “what you want to know?"
Twilight smiles "anything you’re welling to tell us."
Flare Flicker thinks for a moment, "umm well."
Shadow Wolf sighs, "When I was a young clot... I didn't have many friends" As he tells the story he makes shadow puppets for the story, “most other ponies wore scared of me, don't really know why. Then one day a brave colt named Brave Racer came up to me, and asked do you want to be friends with me I can have meet my other friend then we can be all friends... I was shocked didn't know what to say so I nodded, soon after that Brave Racer and Flare Flicker became my best friends more like brothers to me. They made me smile which was rare to say the least but they did it... They are my light in my darkness in my world." Flare Flicker smiles and Shadow go's on saying, "I know for sure I would not be who I am today without them, that I know for sure."
Flare Flicker smiles more, "didn't know that we wore you light."
Shadow Wolf looks at him, "Flare Flicker you know my family doesn't care about me, you and Brave Racer give me a reason to care.

They have fun the rest of the night and the next day Rainbow go's and see's Brave Racer at the hospital he is reading the book Shadow Wolf gave to him. The sun hitting his face making him look hansom, to Rainbow Dash she blushes then says. "Hey Brave Racer, how’s it going?"
He looks up at her, his green eyes catching the sun making them sparkle a little, "Hi Rainbow, I'm doing fine. Just reading the book Shadow lent to me."
Rainbow smiles nervously, "oh... Do you need the shade pulled down the sun seems to be hitting you."
Brave Racer hadn't even noticed that the sun was shining on him. "Oh sure thanks," he said.
Rainbow fly's over and closes it but just enough so it wasn't shining on him any more. She looks at him and she gets nervous again, "oh umm how's the book?"
Brave Racer looks at the book, "just got started so I don't know yet."
Rainbow looks way trying not to be nervous anymore, "oh umm then did you want me to leave?"
Brave Racer takes his glasses off and puts the book and the glasses on the table beside him. "No that's alright, so how is every pony else? Did they all have a fun time at the camp out?"
Soon as he asked that, Applejack walks into the room, "How is it going Brave Racer?”
Brave Racer smiles, "its going well I'll be out soon."
AppleJack smiles, "good to hear." she comes and stands on the side of the bed where Rainbow is not standing at. "So you don’t feel any more pain then?"
Brave Racer nods, "Just a little, but I think that from lying in bed all day."
AppleJack smiles, "can’t wait for you to be better, didn't realize how much of a big help you are tell you wore gone."
Rainbow starts to get jealous and glares at AppleJack, "you know I was here first can't you talk to him later since he works with you?"
Applejack raises her eye brow, "what has gotten in to you? I said I would come to see him."
Rainbow Dash says, "I don't care, you get to hang out with him all the time."
AppleJack says back mad now, "We really haven't been hanging out we been working."
Rainbow Dash points out, "Then why do you two all ready have an inside joke?"
AppleJack rolls her eyes, "So what. It's how he hit the tree for the first time. It was like when I tried to buck down all the apple trees when I was exhausted. I'm sure you remember that... and all he said was, You have to watch out for those rubber trees they well sneak up on yah."
Rainbow Dash has an annoyed look in her eyes, "That's not even funny."
Applejack says with cocky tone in her voice, "That's why we didn't tell you!"
Rainbow glares at her and AppleJack glares back, Brave Racer looks between them a little scared. Then the Doctor comes in the room, "Umm he can leave now Ladies." he helps Brave Racer out of the bed in to wheel chair, "would one of you Girls want to push him?"
Rainbow go's over fast, "I got it."
The Doctor go's over to him, "now Brave Racer just take it easy for the rest of the day, have some pony push you around tell tomorrow."
Brave Racer nods. "Well do, oh AppleJack can you grab the book and my glasses."
AppleJack puts them in the saddle bag that was left there for Brave Racer. Then follows Rainbow dash, who is pushing him out the door. "So Brave Racer any where you want to go?'
AppleJack runs after them, "Slow down Rainbow! His still recovering!
Brave Racer says, "umm just home please."
Rainbow Dash takes him there AppleJack running behind them. They get to the place and Flare Flicker and Shadow Wolf are sitting outside.
Shadow looks at them, "hey bro didn't think you were getting out till later."
Brave Racer sighs, "I think they released me because some pony was there to push me home."
Flare Flicker says, "Well if we know that, we would have been there."
Rainbow smiles, "I was there to help him."
AppleJack comes up over to them, "we wore there for him. I have the book and the Glasses." gives the saddle bag to Flare Flicker
Shadow Wolf takes Brave Racer, "we got him from here." Shadow takes him inside and Flare Flicker follows them, after their gone Rainbow looks at Applejack and they glare at each other for a moment and they go there separate ways.
