"I'm sure it's here," Scootaloo sighed as she gave Sweetie Belle a confident look. She was annoyed beyond words, due to Sweetie Belle asking her uncertain questions about a legend that existed, lying deep in the Everfree Forest. Scootaloo was sure that it was real, being in Everfree Forest and all. It certainly was.

The two fillies seemed to be galloping through bushes and thick trees with rough bark for hours. They left just before sunset, and it was already dark now.

"Scootaloo, we should head back!" Sweetie Belle suggested desperately as she passed through a narrow path between two large bushes filled with a variety of colorful berries.

"Are you serious?" Scootaloo scoffed, laughing for a moment or two afterwards. "We're way too far now, we can't go back!"

Sweetie Belle obviously began to tremble even more than she was before after Scootaloo spoke. Scootaloo sighed irritably.

"W-What are we even looking for, anyways? And why didn't you get Applebloom to come with us?" the fearful filly questioned nervously, and hesitantly.

Scootaloo sighed again. "We're looking for the legend of the mare that's really a pony-eating bug, but she can change into a normal-looking pony, and Applebloom told me she too busy to come!"

"What else is the legend about?" Sweetie Belle asked, her mane and tail beginning to stand on end. She looked like she regretted asking that question, but curiosity must have gotten the best of her.

Scootaloo looked around, then gave Sweetie Belle a reluctant stare. "Are you sure you want to know?" she asked hesitantly. The legend would've probably be too much for the shivering unicorn filly.

Sweetie Belle sat down, making Scootaloo sit down as well. The orange filly didn't wanna leave her friend behind.

"Yes," she sighed. Sweetie Belle's voice sounded nervous and scared, and she clearly had a hard time speaking, due to her terrified expression.

"Okay," Scootaloo said. She looked at the white filly solemnly. She began to speak again, explaining the rest of the legend.

"The legend is sometimes called Miss Eight, because the mare usually took the form of a giant spider when she was about to devour her victims. She captures ponies that wander into unknown places, alone, confused, and scared, and brings them into underground tunnels that can only be entered by a tunnel in the Everfree Forest."
