Everyone focuses on the conversion bureaus. Nobody cares about how it began, or the aftermath. They try to forget, in any way possible. Whether that means explaining the conversions in stories, the first of which was written by Blaze. But I digress. I am not writing on the coping mechanisms of the survivors. I am writing this so that we will never forget. We can't forget our past. If we do, we lose ourselves. We lose what humanity may be left in us. I can't let that happen.
It all started that Saturday morning. Season three of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was supposed to begin. Little did we know this season wouldn't be in the show. It would be all around the world.
The very minute the new season was about to air, all the televisions went out. All there was was static. Then they came. The giant space ships, over all of the major cities, all at once. Everyone ran out of their houses at once, just to see them.
They were magnificent. Awe-inspiring. And fear-inducing beyond our wildest dreams. I stared up in wonder, as the view-screens came to life. An alien came on, but not like the ones we had always thought of. It wasn't gray or green, it didn't have an oval head. It was white. It had a flowing mane of several colors. It looked exactly like Celestia.
"Fear not, children of Earth." A voice boomed down from the heavens. A voice just like Celestia from the cartoons we all adored. "We come in peace. For decades of Earth time we have transmitted images of ourselves to you, that you might not fear us. We come, bringing aid to all of you. We formally request peace talks with all of your governments. Rest assured, we come only to benefit mankind."
Over the next few weeks, the American government allowed the ponies to construct the original 'conversion bureaus,' designed to funnel humans in and ponies out. Most bronies immediately went to be converted, as well as most people with major health problems, as the process miraculously healed everything.
I'm sure you know the stories of what goes on in there, most of which are correct. I will go into detail about my particular experience in one later.
Through your readings, you may have learned of the 'Human Liberation Front.' I'm certain they have been presented to you as evil SOBs without hearts and just hate the ponies because they are different.
All you know about them is pure speculation, other than maybe some of their acts. How do I know that all of the stories about them are wrong? Because I was their leader.
Here, let me start from the beginning...

“I’m just saying, it seems weird.” I typed into the chat box. Every once in awhile I would chat with some of my brony friends.
“Well of course it seems weird! They’re aliens!” ‘FlimFlamDude’ said.
“Well, yeah, but I just think it’s fishy is all.” I said.
“There hasn’t been any communication from the transformees yet. Don’t you think that’s weird, Flim?” ‘Pinkie_is_best_pony’ said.
“Where did you hear that man? I don’t care what you guys think. I’m going to go get transformed at the New York conversion bureau, and either come and be supportive of it, or don’t come at all.” ‘FlimFlamDude’ said. “I’ll be waiting at the entrance at noon tomorrow.” He finished, signing off.
“Dude, you can’t let him go through with this!” Pinkie_is_best_pony said incessantly.
"What? Why? I asked.
"I can't tell you right now. Look, I can't be seen at the conversion bureau, so you need to convince him to come to this address." 'Pinkie_is_best_pony' said, sending me an address, and logging out.
"Well that was abrupt." I said to myself.
The following day I went to the conversion bureau, and saw a man standing at the entrance. I walked up to him and asked, “Are you ‘FlimFlamDude’?”
“Ya, I am! Good to see you! I didn’t think either of you would show up.” He said. “My real name’s Karl by the way.”
“Nice to meet you, Karl. I’m Greg.” I explained. “Pinkie wants to meet you too. He said something about not being able to come here though. He gave me an address, would you mind coming with me to meet him?”
“I suppose this is some kind of intervention or something.” He grumbled, “But I would at least like to meet him before I change. So I guess I’ll go.”
And with that, we left.
We got to the address, a condo, and rung the doorbell. The door was opened for us, and we stepped inside. The person inside wasn’t exactly what I had been expecting.
“But… You’re a girl!” Karl observed.
“Oh, so girls can’t be bronies too? Even you said it was an asexual term.” She said.
“Well… sure… but I mean… all those times… chatting… you never said…” he sputtered.
“Well, you never asked. None of us really talked much about our ‘outside’ lives much. Look, that’s not the point. The point is, you can’t go pony. If you do at this point, there’s a 90% chance you will die.” She said.
“How can you possibly know that?” I asked.
“I know someone who has been up on the ships. Almost all humans who are converted are being experimented on.” She explained.
“You’re just trying to get me to not go and get converted.” Karl complained.
“I’m sorry, but I kind of have to agree with Karl. If you don’t have any proof, it seems kind of desperate. Do you have any proof?” I asked.
“Well, the person I know isn’t up there anymore. I wasn’t sent any evidence, and if we try to organize a resistance, we’ll need some evidence… I have a way to get some though. If you can go into the conversion bureau and attach this little piece of alien technology,” she said, showing pyramid-shaped device, “to one of their computers for about 30 seconds, I can get all the evidence I need. Just don’t let it be seen.”
“So let me get this straight. You want me to go into a facility full of aliens, hack into their computer system, and get out without them realizing what I’m doing? And if they catch me, they’ll probably convert me and experiment on me?” I asked.
“Basicly.”
“That’s badass.”
