One day the vortex/portal opened and let spill out a few unexpected characters from the odd realm of Ferelden. Now read as the odd socialy ocuward Mage and over disciplined Templar work to fit in and find their way home. And fail to avoid making lasting relationships with the dwellers of their new land.
Word of warning: There will be lore references to the Dragon Age series, I think I did a good job clarifying the lore so a layman would understand it, tell me if I missed something and I'll clear it up
