Chapters Chapter 1: The Pond
It was nighttime in Ponyville. As Luna works her magic throughout that time, ponies are either sleeping, working late or doing some night activities. In fact, one activity is happening right now at the Golden Oaks Library, where Princess Twilight and her family lives at.
Two Royal Guards are up front, on guard to keep out any uninvited visitors (Twilight has been getting a lot of fans due to her being crowned princess and all that). But the two weren't good enough as they fail to catch a shadowy figure sneaking by them...and entering through a window of the house.
Inside the library, the figure goes to something that is covered by a sheet...then removes the latter. This is the Universal Viewer which Twilight and her friends use to see other universe. The visitor smiles as she prepares to activate the thing...
But then the lights came on as Twilight, wide awake and in her night robe, frowns while saying, "Pinkie!" The visitor known as Pinkie Pie, zips around, being caught in the act.
"Oh, hi Twilight," Pinkie exclaims to Twilight with a smile.
"Pinkie, what are you doing here? It's 2 in the morning."
"I know...but I wanna do something!"
"Can't it wait until morning?" Twilight ask Pinkie with a frown. The mare is obviously a bit sleepy, apparently thanks to the pink pony's intrusion. The alicorn glances at the Universal Finder, realizing that her friend is doing. "Let me guess, you want to look into a universe, right?"
"Yep! I was doing some thinking, about the Mirror Pool and the clone thing...remember that?" Pinkie asks, reminding Twilight about the incident with the Pinkie Pie clones.
"How could I forget? So?"
"So I was wondering...what if I wasn't the only one using the Mirror Pool? What if the rest of us Mane Six did too? And to try to help with our activities; let me have a show, pleeeeeease? I promise to not wake you up and will leave when I'm done."
The tired state is getting to Twilight but she sighs while saying, "Fine, okay...one show and you go home. But keep the noise level down, okay? Ben, Nyx, Spike and Phobos are still sleeping."
"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Pinkie said with a smile as she did the Pinkie Promise to keep the noise level down to let Princess Twilight and her family get some sleep.
Twilight yawns as she uses her magic to activate the thing then speaks into the speaker, "Machine? Pinkie wants to know what if the rest of us as well as her uses the Mirror Pool. What then?"
As the machine came to life, Twilight flew back upstairs while Pinkie sat down, drink and popcorn in hoof as the show starts....
The Everfree Forest is creepy and spooky as usual. Only a few ponies would dare to come through its haunted place...all but a group of ponies led by an excited pink pony who wants to show them something.
"Honestly, Pinkie, what is it that you want to show us?" Rarity asks Pinkie puzzled and concerned.
"And why does it feel so creepy and spooky?" Fluttershy ask nervously as the group trots into a patch of steadily thickening mist and tangled vines. Pinkie claims to have an idea that could help her hang out with her friends more.
"Well, that's because no pony has been in here in ages." Pinkie explains to her friends. "Oh, I sure hope that I remember the rhymes right from my Nana Pinkie's story."
"What are the rhymes?" Rainbow asks Pinkie, getting bored. "And can you make it quick? I got a lot of hanging to do."
"Yew an' yew hanging," Applejack remarks to Rainbow then turns back to her friend. "Go ahead, Pinkie Pie, tell us."
"Let's see...'Where the brambles are thickest, there you will find…'a pond beyond the most twisted of vines.'." Pinkie yelps as her last words echo in the stillness, "Eeeek! What was that?! I heard a voice!!"
"Pinkie; that was you," Twilight giggles to Pinkie, making her calm down.
"Oh, it was me. Tee hee!"
"So, Pinkie Pie..." Rarity then yelps as the underground that the ponies pull through is making it difficult to get through. "...if you need to be with us more than..."
"Ouch, owie; Stop scratching, you brambles; stop..." Suddenly Pinkie stops as she realizes that the mare...is no longer above the ground. The pink pony made her legs as she screams, "Whooooooaaaaa!"
Twilight gasps as she grabs Pinkie's tail but she fell in with her. The others tried to grab them but they all fell in as well. Everyone scream as they fell down a newly discovered hole. The ponies rattle through a long, twisting tunnel like some sort of pinball game. Soon they all fell down a natural ramp, arriving in a high-ceilinged cavern before landing on their bellies.
The Mane Six groans as they got up with Fluttershy groaning, "Oh dear..."
"That was...AWESOME!" Rainbow exclaims excitedly. "Let's do that again!"
"No, Rainbow." Applejack snaps to Rainbow sternly. "So where 'de Sam Hill is this place?"
"OH, we're here!" Pinkie exclaims happily as she points right in front of her. The ponies saw a small pool in front of them, not a single bubble or ripple disturbs the water's surface. "It's the Mirror Pool!"
"Mirror what?" Twilight ask puzzled. "I think you mentioned it before but never describe it fully. So what's the big deal?"
"According to lesson...the Mirror Pool has the power to make doubles! To activate it, just look at the reflection and say these words...'and into her own reflection she stared…Yearning for one whose reflection she shared, and solemnly sweared not to be scared…At the prospect of being doubly mared!' Then you step into the pool's surface and when you came out, a being which is your reflection turns into a clone of the pony."
"Oh, so it's like Changelings but without the evil and the love sucking."
"Yep," Pinkie exclaims happily to her friends. "Why, with it, I can be with you girls whenever I want to."
"You know...it would be cool if we use the Mirror Pool to help ourselves." Rainbow said thoughtfully to herself. "I mean, I can make my own set of Wonderbolts!"
"Yes, and with some Raritys, I can have some polite friends for once." Rarity said with a thoughtful look.
"An' we can expand 'de Apple Family an' if mah big brother gits hurt, Ah won't go through 'de Applebucking incident again." Applejack remarks eagerly. Imagine all the help she can get so she won't cause more trouble like the first time that the Earth pony stubbornly refuses to get help.
"And well...I could use more of me to help with the animals." Fluttershy said quietly, "Twilight...how about you?"
"Well, as much as I would love to have more of me, I think we should remember that this Mirror Pool was Pinkie's idea and how she wanted to use it." Twilight explains to her friends who understand the methods. "But...we may end up having too many Pinkie Pies to handle."
"Awww," Pinkie said while looking down. Her friend Twilight doesn't want her to use the Mirror Pool. How can she spend more time with her friends now?
"Look, Pinkie, I only saying that we should use the pool for emergency uses only; I mean, we can't go crazy with this thing."
"Yes, I supposed that does make sense." Rarity said in agreement. A lot of Pinkie Pies could be troubling. Perhaps it's best to use the pool for emergency uses.
"Shucks, 'dat makes sense." Applejack remarked. "Besides, Ah done don't need help wit' Applebucking just yet."
"Awww, I don't want to make the Wonderbolts upset with the competition...and I'm sure Fluttershy is doing fine right now, right?" Rainbow asks Fluttershy who nods a bit.
Pinkie pauses then nods a bit, saying, "Yeah, I suppose you may be right. Let's Pinkie Promise to only use the Mirror Pool for emergency uses only! That way, we won't be overdoing it."
The other Mane Six ponies agreed, doing the Pinkie Promise so that they won't overdo the whole thing. After memorizing the location, the gang leaves to do their own thing. They figure that they themselves won't need the Mirror Pool right now, right?
What will happen next may be a big problem...
Later that day, Applejack walked back to her farm in Sweet Apple Acres.
"Well, back 'ta 'de salt mines." Applejack said with a nod. Of course, as she heads to the barn, the mare notices Big Macintosh loading up some stuff into the wagon, "Hey, whatcha doing?"
"Oh, Applejack. There you are, mind giving me a hoof?" Granny Smith asks as she held up a suitcase to Applejack. The mare threw it into the wagon.
"So what's wit' 'de wagon pulling?" Applejack asked her grandmother curiously.
"Awww, Braeburn needs some help with some apple harvest duty. So Big Mac and I are heading to Appleloosa to help him out," Granny Smith explains to Applejack with a shrug.
"Eeyup," Big Macintosh remarks in agreement.
"Oh, right, so it would be just me an' Apple Bloom?" Applejack asked Granny Smith with a nod.
"Actually, no, your sister is coming with us. Most of the family throughout Equestria is helping out." Granny Smith explains. "Now you got a lot of chores to do while we're gone."
Applejack's eyes widen as she saw the chores that needs to be done...which normally can be done in a day with three helpers! The mare got a lot to do but it may take a while to get the task done.
"Aww, horse feathers," Applejack groans a bit. This may be a bit difficult...
Rainbow flew to the weather place. She got a job to do involving the weather today. The mare picks up some orders and glances at them.
"Whoa, we got a lot of jobs concerning the weather." Rainbow remarks in concern. She looks around and saw only Derpy, "Derpy? Where's the rest of the Pegasi?"
"Oh, hey Rainbow Dash. I came in to get a muffin." Derpy said happily as she picks up a muffin on a plate nearby. "As for the other Pegasi, there is a flu going around so many can't make it until they get better."
"What," Rainbow gasps in shock and alarm. "But we got a lot of jobs concerning the weather! I need all the help that I can get!"
"Well, I can help if you want." Derpy said goofily. Rainbow shudders a bit. Nothing against Derpy, but letting her help out in the weather is like asking a Dragon to guard a pile of jewels at a bank.
"No, no, Derpy, I will find another way." Rainbow said to Derpy with a sigh. The mare got to find another way to work with the weather, but this is a Tartarus lot of work!
Sweetie enters a room in the Carousel Baroque. The filly needs help on her homework. She speaks, "Rarity? I need to know..."
Sweetie looks up to see a very silly sight: Rarity is rushing to do some touches on some dresses and model works. Weird, the mare appears to be under a lot of stress.
"Let's see. Um... a bit of this, and a little bit of that," Rarity said a bit quickly as she rushed, "Ohh, what does this need? Umm... maybe this; No, no, maybe that."
"Rarity," Sweetie asks puzzled. She trots up to her sister and taps her on the shoulder, "Sis?"
Rarity screams as if the devil just grabbed her. The white unicorn collides with some supplies, causing them to fell to the ground. She turns around then sighs upon hearing her sister, "Goodness! Sweetie Belle, don't you ever do that to me again!"
"Sorry, sis. What are you doing?" Sweetie asks her sister, noticing how Rarity is being bounded with work.
"Oh, I got some dresses and model works...but there is so much that I can't keep up." Rarity said while working on a model. "I got a lot of orders so you can imagine the dress that I'm in."
"Can I help?" Sweetie asks Rarity hopefully.
Rarity cringes a bit, knowing how her sister's habit of help...may not be helpful. The unicorn said, "As much as I appreciate the offer, I can do this, Sweetie Belle."
"I don't know. You may need some help with this." Sweetie said in concern. Her sister looks like she could drop at any given moment.
"I can do this, I..." Rarity cringes as she fell to the floor. "Okay, maybe I do need some help..."
Rarity may as well face it; the unicorn can't do this all by herself. She needs some help.
Fluttershy is having trouble of her own. The poor mare is helping a lot of animals, there are hundreds that ventured too close to the Everfree Forest and were attacked by Timberwolves.
"Hang on, hang on, I'm coming." Fluttershy said as she put some bandages on some mice. "Angel, can you get me some carrots for the rabbits?"
"Oh dear, hang on. I'm coming." Fluttershy said flying to some birds who are limping a bit. "Oh dear, there are so many here."
Angel has trouble bringing carrots because the bunny has to dodge the bears. He grunts a bit. This is getting a bit more difficult.
"Oh, I am not sure if I can handle this by myself." Fluttershy said with a sigh. There are a lot of animals here. "Do you think that I need help, Angel?"
Angel frowns as he nods. Fluttershy may be good in taking care of animals but there are too many of her to take care of here.
"You're right. If only I get some help." Fluttershy said with a sad sigh.
Pinkie hums happily as she goes into Sugarcube Corner, bouncing and getting some party supplies lately.
"Oh boy, I wonder if there's parties today!" Pinkie exclaims happily as she took out of 'Party of Booked Parties' book. The pink pony probably got a few parties to work at.
But Pinkie yelps in surprise as she saw a sigh: she has booked her schedule to perform parties for not just in Ponyville, but practically those in Cloudsdale to Canterlot. She has a lot of places to go to now!
"Yikes! I scheduled a lot of parties today!" Pinkie exclaims in a panic. The time to travel is too wide a gorge to jump. "Oh, I don't want to upset a lot of ponies if I am late or cancelled...but I can't be everywhere at once!"
Pinkie stops to think. She can't be everywhere at once...or can she?
"Well, we're home, Twiley." Ben Mare said as he, Nyx and the Dragons came back after a fun time. The four came in and saw an unusual sight. There's Twilight reading some books as best as she can, "Twilight?"
"Mommy, whatcha doing?" Nyx ask her mother in concern. Twilight is looking through a lot of books like mad.
"Oh, Twilight is given the assignment of studying a lot of books in the library to know them by heart." Spike explains to Nyx with a shrug.
"Not so good, ain't ya?" Phobos laughs a bit making Twilight sighs a bit.
"I am doing my best...but I can't organize them and perform the spells at the same time! Plus, I gotta perform some experiments of spells." Twilight explains. The mare yelps as an explosion is occurred, "Awww, hay feathers!"
"Wow, do you need help, Twilight?" Ben ask his filly-friend in concern. "This sounds like too big an assignment to do by yourself."
"No, no. Your mother, the princess, gave this task. I will try to finish it...though it's difficult to do the task by myself."
"Yeah, a lot of assignments can be a pain." Phobos remarks as he and Nyx head upstairs to put their newly found stuff away.
"If you need help, mommy, we will be here." Nyx said to Twilight gently.
"You sure you don't need help from us?" Ben asks Twilight in concern. "We don't mind giving you some help."
"I'm fine, Ben, go ahead." Twilight insists, waving a hoof of dismissal to Ben. The stallion shrugs as he heads upstairs. Only Spike is the only one remaining with the mare. "Oh, who am I kidding? It would take a miracle to get all this job done. I can't do it by myself."
"Well, too bad you don't have another you around. That would've been easier." Spike remarks as he heads into the kitchen to make himself a snack. What the baby Dragon said made his adopted sister think thoughtfully.
"'Another me around...'"
Twilight returns to the Everfree Forest, trotting through the area. The unicorn has memorized where the location of the Mirror Pool is at so she has no trouble in finding it. The task is simple: Twilight is makes a few clones of herself to help with her assignment. It shouldn't be hard. The pool was to be used for emergencies only, right?
Twilight found the hole and jumps in, sliding down and returning to the pool. But upon arrival, the mare saw a familiar cowpony there already.
"Applejack," Twilight exclaims, making Applejack jumps and turns upon seeing her.
"Oh, Twilight; Hee hee; Fancy running into yew here," Applejack said to Twilight nervously. "Ah done was doing some walking an'..."
"Applejack, you're the Element of Honesty. That makes you the worst liar ever. Tell me, what are you doing here?"
"Well...err...say, what are YEW doing here?"
Before Twilight could answer, the mare heard more screaming coming from the tunnel. She and Applejack turns and saw the rest of the Mane Six sliding down, entering the Mirror Pool.
"Rainbow Dash; Pinkie Pie; Rarity; Fluttershy," Twilight ask her friends in surprise and suspicion.
"Oh hey Twilight," Rainbow said to Twilight sheepishly. "What a coincidence...bumping into you..."
"And Applejack here," Rarity said as she and the other ponies got up to their hooves, the white unicorn spots the frowning cowpony nearby. "We were..."
"Well, uh...see, how do we explain this?" Fluttershy ask Twilight, looking at her hooves in concern.
"Confess, girls. You came to use the Mirror Pool...did you?" Twilight ask her friends suspiciously.
"Well, uh...yes."
"Okay, you caught me. I came here to use the Mirror Pool as well." Rainbow said, giving a look of guilt and concern on her face.
"Yes, I do too." Rarity said with a sigh of concern. "I can't lie to you, my good friend."
"Yep! Came here for the pool too," Pinkie exclaims while bouncing up and down. "And when I found my good friends, I knew that they want to use the pool too. We all Pinkie Promise to use it for emergencies so we came here and found you two..."
"All right, all right, it's true. Ah came here 'ta use 'de pool too." Applejack remarks with a sigh of defeat. "What about yew?"
"Well, err...okay, okay. It's true; I came here for the Mirror Pool as well." Twilight groans. She may as well fess up, there's no other way of explaining her presence. "But only for an emergency! I need help with studying, performing magic..."
"Well, what do yew know! Ah done come here fer emergencies too! Only its fer mah farm work as mah family is going elsewhere so Ah done ended up doing it alone!"
"And the Pegasus ponies got sick so I need extras of myself for the weather." Rainbow explains her presence to her friends.
"And I need help with my dresses, model works and some orders that I need help with." Rarity explains to her friend with a nod.
"Well...I got a lot of animals that need my attention...and felt like more of me can do the job...if that's okay." Fluttershy said, backing away a bit meekly.
"And I got a lot of parties! And I need all the Pinkie Pies that I can get!" Pinkie explains to her friends. The others went silent. They all came here, needing some clones of themselves to help with their problems.
"Okay, we all know the drill. Pinkie Pie; Can you show us how the pool works?" Twilight ask Pinkie curiously. "It was your idea in the first place."
"Okie dokie lokie! Like I said before..." Pinkie said as she came over to the Mirror Pool to show her friends how it's done, "'Yearning for one whose reflection she shared, and solemnly sweared not to be scared…At the prospect of being doubly mared'."
Pinkie dives into the Mirror Pool. When she came out, her friends gasp in amazement as a copy of herself is made.
"Wow!" The ponies exclaim impressed at what happened.
"Uh, hi," The clone Pinkie ask confused while wondering where she's at.
"Let me try! 'Yearning for one whose reflection she shared, and solemnly sweared not to be scared…At the prospect of being doubly mared'," Rainbow exclaims as she steps into the pool. Once the Pegasus pony comes out, a copy of herself appears. "Cool!"
"Double 20% Awesome!" The clone Rainbow exclaims with a smile. The Mirror Pool has indeed work!
"Okay, here's the plan. I will go next, then Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack." Twilight explains to her friends as to what is going to happen. "Then if we need more help, you know what to do, but let's try not to overdo it."
"Sure thing, sugar cube," Applejack said with a nod, "Ah just need 'de help o' mahselves enough 'ta git 'de chores done."
"And it would be fabulous to have more polite ponies to be with." Rarity said, smiling at the idea of more copies of herself.
"And more of me...sound nice." Fluttershy said with a smile while nodding.
Twilight smiles as she repeat the same chant while going into the pool, coming out with another clone. Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack did the same thing with more clones. Soon the ponies begin making more clones, enough to get what they need done.
The friends figures that they will get all the help that they themselves will need to fix their problems. But what the Mane Six doesn't know of the madness that they will about to release on Ponyville.

Looks like the Mirror Pool is being used by our pony friends; In the next chapter, things turn out well at first...but then things goes out of control with the clones. Read, review and suggest!

Chapter 2: Good Idea or Bad Idea?
The Mane Six brought their clones to their place of origin. They planned on doing whatever it takes to get their job done. First off, Applejack brought her own clones home.
"All righty, buckeroos, we done got some chores 'ta be done here." Applejack explains to her clones with a smile. "So yew know what 'ta do, right?"
"Eeyup," The clones said with a nod.
"Then let's get 'hese chores a-going; HEEHAW!"
"HEEHAW!"
The Applejacks got to work on the chores. Some of the clones buck trees while catching them in apples, some begins plowing the field, the clones fix fence, etc. It looks like the chores will be done in no time.
The real Applejack smiles eagerly. That Mirror Pool may be the greatest idea ever! Things should get better, right?
But then, something goes wrong. One of the clones frown while snapping, "Come on, move it; 'Git 'de wagon over there, y'all!"
"Hey, Ah done got 'dis covered!" Another clone snaps to the first one in annoyance. "Besides, Ah is in charge."
"No, Ah is, no, Ah!" Some of the clones exclaims angrily. Soon the whole things begins to get wrong big time. Many of the Applejacks are trying to take charge in giving the other what to do while not listening since they believe to have it cover.
The real Applejack yelps while exclaiming, "Whoa there, darlings! Hang on! We're all 'de same Applejack, so let's not git bossy. We can do 'dis if..."
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT 'TA DO!" Some of the Applejack snaps in annoyance, sending the real deal to the ground. As she got up, the mare looks worried as the mares knocks down trees, trying to take over some chores, even the barn isn't safe as it gets knocked down the second time.
Applejack gulps in worry. Perhaps this idea wasn't doing well at all.
The real Rainbow smiles as she put her clones to work in the weather, some of which involves rain, sunshine, etc. The cyan Pegasus pony calls out, "All right, ponies; looking good!"
"Yeah, sure are!" One of the Rainbow clones exclaims eagerly. "Hey, I will race you slow pokes!"
"You're on!" The other clones laugh. Soon they begin speeding all over Equestria and that's when the terrible part happens.
The weather ends up going out of control, ponies are dragged in by the Rainbow Dashes' competitive streak with buildings getting destroyed. Many of the ponies were forced into hiding by the madness being spread here. Some join one or the other to make the fastest number of Wing Power to bring enough water from lakes to make more rainclouds. But it becomes too much that it'll cause disaster of dryness and floodings!
"Whoa, whoa," Rainbow exclaims in alarm as she tries to stop her clones. "This is getting out of hoof here! We can't be destroying Equestria!"
"You're jealous because you're slow!" One clone exclaims with a taunt, much to the real Rainbow's annoyance.
"Who are you calling 'slow', 'chump'?!"
Rainbow yelps as some rain blows her around, followed by snow. The freezing rain combination frosts her wings, sending the mare to the ground. She recovers, looking up to see the disaster that the clones are making all over like mad.
"Oh man, this isn't cool." Rainbow said with a groan of concern. Perhaps this idea wasn't a good one after all. Now Equestria has gotten a whole lot of weather thanks to her clones...and to her for making them in the first place!
Even Rarity is having trouble with her clones. Once at the Carousel Baroque, she got them to work on some dresses and models, trying to make the latest fashion and work. For a moment, it looks like everything is doing so fine.
But then the fighting starts. One clone gags at a dress, snapping, "This is a fashion disaster! I wouldn't be caught dead in this!"
"Well, how would you like to be dead in that," The other clone snaps as she points at a model work that the clone's working on. "Honestly, I don't see what kind of fashion is that."
"Well both yours needs some changes!" The third clone remarks as she uses her magic to make some different alterations to the dress and model work. Needless to say, this doesn't please her 'colleagues' at all.
"STAY AWAY FROM THAT,” The clones exclaims furiously.
The real Rarity came in to see a fashion disaster, majorly! Some of the clones fight while making different alternations which end up making more fighting and ruining makeup. The real unicorn shouts out, "Hey, hey! STOP THAT!" The clones stop fighting to hear her out. "What are you doing, we are supposed to..."
Rarity yelps as she sees a green/black combination dress on a mannequin. The mare groans, "Ugh, what kind of disaster is that? Ohh, I pity the ponies who wears that one."
"Hey, I love it, it was a great work of art!" A Rarity clone snaps to the real Rarity in annoyance.
"Right, art of disaster, you mean!"
Now things got even more worst. Rarity and her clones begin fighting, ruining makeup. Some ponies came in, looking confused by the white unicorns running the place. They were forced to run in terror as some of the fabric got thrown at them from out of nowhere.
Rarity sighs in concern, "This idea is...THE WORST...POSSIBLE...IDEA EVER." The mare tries to get on her couch but some of her clones are piling up on it. "HEY! GET OFF THAT!"
"MINE!" The Rarity clones snaps as they kept the real deal off the couch. The white unicorn looks saddened and worried. She can't even use her own couch? Oh, the horror!
Fluttershy and her clones are at the cottage right now to do the original's normal kind of work. The original explains, "Okay, you want to help animals, right?"
"Right," The Fluttershy clones all replied with nods.
"Right...well, I guess it's time we get to work." Fluttershy said to the clones.
The Fluttershys got to work on animals. For a while, some of them are doing fine, fixing animals' limbs and getting food. The original smiles proudly. For a moment, it looks like things are going to be okay.
"Oh dear, oh dear, not good if I can do this," One clone said in self-doubt, looking up at a bear that has a headache and needed and ice pack.
"Oh, can you slow down, please?" Another Fluttershy clone asks a squirrel that went too fast for her.
"Eep," Two Fluttershy clones exclaims as they bump into one another. "Don't do that, please!"
Another Fluttershy flew into a box, knocking some stuff over. When she emerges, the mare has costume stuff all over, causing her to look like a monster.
"EEEEEEK," Most of the Fluttershys screams in terror as they run to hide or just run around, the Fluttershys are freaking the animals out, some of them run or even hide from the Pegasus clones.
"Wait, calm down. Please stop." The original Fluttershy said meekly as she tries her best to calm them down. One Fluttershy accidentally smacks her into the couch, knocking her down.
The original sighs a bit in sadness. This is getting out of hoof big time.
Even Pinkie Pie...
"Mr. Narrator?" Pinkie pops up to me.
Uh, yes, Pinkie Pie?
"I think the fans who saw the episode know what's going to happen. I mean, look." Pinkie said in concern.
Sure enough, the Pinkie Pies are getting out of hoof just like in the original episode. There is too many, bouncing around like mad. Some of the ponies scream and hid.
"And worst yet, my parties are getting out of hoof all over than before, especially since I had too many extras and a few went to the parties of the other." Pinkie explains. Sure enough, some of her clones zip to another's party, using cannons and other crazy stuff.
I see...
"Well, things go downhill fast." Pinkie said to the narrator with a smile. "Sooo, how about we just cut to Twilight and see how she's doing?"
Right, I see. Okay...
Twilight took her clones home back. She begins work with organizing books, making spells or experiments, even studying. Things were doing fine, right? Wrong.
"Hey, hang on. You are doing it wrong!" One Twilight clone complains to another.
"Hey, careful," Two Twilight clones exclaims in annoyance.
Some of the clones' spells went out of control, some of which make holes in the library. As for Twilight, she is doing her best to keep up but to no prevail. These clones are too much like her. They can't coordinate well and get into each other's way.
"Come on, we're all the same mare here." The real Twilight said to calm her own clones down. The mare tries to use a spell to stop them but they keep teleporting out. "Oh, come on!"
It was at this time that Ben, Nyx and the Dragons came back. Their eyes widen upon seeing what's going on.
Spike begin, "What the-"
"Buck is-" Ben continues on, shocked at seeing what's happening.
"Happening?" Nyx ask as she finishes the sentence.
"Ben, everyone, thank goodness." Twilight said seeing the others arriving. "Spike, help me deal with this problem."
"Uh, sure, no problem," Spike said as he rushes in. "Spike, I need a copy of the spell book." A Twilight clone said as she gives out a scroll to the baby Dragon.
"No problem." Spike said in concern. But more came up, "Spike! More quills! Spike, why aren't you at Sugarcube Corner?! Spike, Spike, Spike!" The Twilight clones exclaims like mad.
Spike is getting freaked out. He can't follow or even know which Twilight he was doing what for.
"Mommy," Nyx exclaims as she tries to find the real Twilight.
"Yes, Nyx," Most of the Twilight calls out while throwing some spells around. Nyx looks worried. She likes having more than one Twilight around, but this is getting out of hoof!
"Wow, and I thought Lorcan's Dragon war was insane!" Phobos comments in amusement.
"Twilight, which one of you is the real Twilight," Ben calls out to the Twilight.
"I am, Ben!" One Twilight exclaims to Ben with a smile.
"No, I am!" Another Twilight snaps to the other angrily.
"No, me, me, it's me, Ben, don't you remember when I free you from that curse and how we reunited?" Yet another Twilight calls out.
"Hoo boy," Ben said in concern. Apparently, all these Twilights are the same and has the same memory. How can he tell which one is his girlfriend?
The answer, not a simple one.
The real Twilight goes to the group who are backing away. She exclaims, "Ben, Nyx, Spike, Phobos, please, it's me."
"And how do we know that?" Phobos asks Twilight in concern.
"What about how we save the Crystal Empire? How we..." Twilight begins to say but Ben sadly cut her off.
"I'm sorry, but until we know which one is the real Twilight, we are staying away." Ben said to Twilight in sadness. The real mare's heart appears to be heartbroken. "Come on, Nyx, we're leaving."
"Okay." Nyx said sadly.
"Sorry, Twilight," Spike said as the group leaves.
Twilight looks down in sadness. Her idea of getting clones to help has drove Ben and the others away. She ask herself sadly, "Oh, what have I done?"
It didn't take long for things to go out of control. Lyra and Bon-Bon were talking when they saw a bunch of animals charging at them. The two moves out of the way as they saw a bunch of Fluttershys exclaiming, "Come back here, animals, come back!"
Daisy, Lily and Rose runs as some of the Rainbows' clouds start shooting lightning, knocking down their flower stands. Daisy screams in terror, "The horror; the horror!"
Things got worse, more Pinkie Pies run around Equestria, begging the ponies to play with them and have fun but that freaks the locals out big time. Add a bunch of Raritys using magic to clean up dirt, Applejacks challenging one another to some challenges or so and a lot of Twilights using magic and you got one Tartarus of a mess on your hooves here.
Needless to say, Ponyeville, even most of Equestria is driven to the point where they are even TOO Many Mane Sixes for them to handle. But who will they contact? The only one who would've has a lot of Twilight clones! Most of the locals lock their doors, scared and alarmed to come out.
"This is too much even for me to handle!" The Mayor exclaims as she hid in her house, getting rid of the welcome mat. "I'm staying in here until this mess is taken care of."
"Shouldn't we call someone like the Royal Guards or something?" Derpy ask Time Turner while the two and Dinky hide in the stallion's house.
"And risk hurting the real deals?" Time Turner asks Derpy in concern. "If only that was the case...no, only an idea can save us all from this madness..." The stallion ducks to dodge a stray magic blast from a Twilight clone that came through his window, "And hopefully soon!"
The real deals in the confusion are running around, trying to get the situation under control. But with so many of their clones, it may be difficult in doing so. Suddenly without warning, the six bumps into each other. Upon recovering, they saw one another.
"Girls...wait, you are my friends, right?" Twilight ask her friends in concern.
"'Dat's depends. Are yew Twilight or 'de real deal," Applejack ask the others in concern.
"Oh dear, there is so many of us here...even I am confused." Fluttershy said meekly. Most of the ponies are concerned. How will they figure out which one is which?
Pinkie on the other hoof smiles as she exclaims, "No worry; I took the precaution should the Mirror Pool gets out of hoof again!" Her friends look at her oddly. "Well, in the actual series anyway. Look, check your hooves, girls."
The Mane Six checks their own hooves. To their surprise, there are brand sticker marks on themselves which read 'Mane Six Brand, Original...' And of course it ends with each pony's name.
"Wait, how did you know that?" Rarity asks Pinkie puzzled. "And how did these stickers get onto us?"
"Oh, put them on us without the other knowing just in case!" Pinkie explains to her friends happily. Some of the ponies are puzzled as to how they got these things. But the Mane Six decided not to worry, what's more important are the clones running amuk."
"Well, at least we found the real deals...but how are we going to deal with the clones?" Rainbow asks while frowning at the Rainbow clones speeding and causing weather chaos.
"Perhaps using the Mirror Pool was a bad idea." Fluttershy said while looking down. "We should've known that our clones has too much of our personalities in them."
"Right, if we only asked for each other's help in the first place..." Rarity said with a sad sigh. "But it's too late. The damage has sadly been done."
"No it isn't. We got to round up our clones. I know of a send back spell that can send them back." Twilight explains to her friends in determination. The mare knows that if she uses the send back spell, Twilight can send the clones back to the Mirror Pool.
"One problem, sugar cube...once we do round 'em up, how can we tell each other apart?" Applejack ask Twilight in concern. "We done may end up sending 'de original to 'dat there pool. Ah mean, yew is easy since yew're 'de original who can blast her own clones...but not us."
"No worries, I got an idea on what to do...I got to find Ben, Nyx, Spike and Phobos, show them that I'm the original...then we will deal with the attack of the clones."
"Oooh, I love that movie!" Pinkie exclaims happily, making her friends chuckle a bit.
Author's Note
Well, the Mirror Pool was a bad idea after all and the clones are causing a mess throughout Equestria. In the next and final chapter, Twilight and her friends make tests to know who's the real deal, once the clones are rounded up, and what clones that Twilight herself shall send back. And once this madness is over, a lesson will be learned. Read, review and suggest.
The Mane Six running into one another and seeing sticker marks on themselves is based on a scene from the 'Timon & Pumbaa' episode: 'Forbidden Pumbaa'.
Chapter 3: Clones Gone
We see Golden Heart and his little sister (who is wearing a robe and you all know who she is) as the little pony stops in her tracks. She asks, "Did you feel that big brother?"
Golden Heart nods as he said, "I felt something like there are more Mane Sixes."
"Right but luckily I can tell who is the real one and who is a clone."
"Ok let's go find the real Twilight."
With that they both head off to the Golden Oaks Library.
By this time, Twilight has found Ben, Spike, Phobos and Nyx. After showing him the sticker that Pinkie put on herself and answering questions a bit, the group is convinced that this is the real deal. They are meeting in the library, trying to figure out what to do.
"Okay, we got to round up the clones; that's the idea." Ben said with a nod. "But even then, we still got to figure out which ones are the real deals to avoid sending the originals into the Mirror Pool."
"We can try a paint dry spell, see how that works." Nyx suggests to the others with nod. "But how will we deal with the clones of the rest of mommy's group?"
"Shucks, 'dis may be like finding a needle in a haystack." Applejack said with a concerned look. "An' even if we done got some tests, how will we git them all?"
"I believe I know of a solution." Golden Heart said as he and pink pony in the cloak and hood. "And we shall use trickery or magic."
"Golden Heart...and who's the other one?" Rainbow asks, giving a cautious look to the cloaked one.
"That's for you to find out at a later date. Listen, you Mane Six get ready, we will get the clones."
"Right, come on, Nyx. Phobos, Spike, prepare the tests." Ben said as he, Nyx, Golden Heart and the figure heads off to round up the clones.
"I sure hope these tests work." Spike said as he and Phobos prepares the tests with the originals' help. "Otherwise, Equestria will not want to see even the real Twilight and her friends."
"Yeah, and Nyx would be sad forever if she can't tell who is who here." Phobos remarks in agreement to Spike.
Ben's group took their time in getting the clones, the Earth pony flies around and uses his magic to get the clones. Nyx smiles as she calls out, "APPLE CIDER!" This causes the Rainbow clones and the Pinkie clones to come running (or flying in the Rainbow clones' case), which in turn allows Ben to stun them with his magic to capture them.
During this time, Golden Heart and his little sister, who has a big bag, both works on catching the clones as Golden Heart says, "For clones they can put up a fight."
"I know but we can't let the real Mane Six down. Once we catch some of these clones we take them to the real Mane Six." The little sister comment. "The real Twilight might know a spell to remove the copies,"
The alicorn nods as he and his little sister keep catching the clones. Ben and Nyx meanwhile throw dirt on some of Raritys to creep them out and allow easy capture. The Fluttershy clones...they just be polite and lead them gently to where the rests are going to be at.
Soon all the clones are round up and taken to outside the building that each test will take place in. Golden Heart, Pinkamena, Ben, Nyx, Spike and Phobos look concerned as they look outside. There are so many of the copies that it's hard to tell the originals from the real deals.
"Well, maybe we should've put the real deals in another place to make this easy." Spike said in concern. "I mean, how can we tell which one is Twilight now?"
"I know a spell that can send back clones...let me guess, Twilight must know it too, right?" Golden Heart said, making Spike and Phobos nod. "Okay, we will do her first. Will the Twilight and her clones please trot up?"
The Twilights trot up into the building as Ben continues, "All right, here's how we will do this one: The Twilight clones shall be put through endless games of fun..."
"But without no studying or reading books," Nyx explains, making some of the Twilight clones gasp in shock and concern. "Whoever is caught studying or reading will be blast back to the pool."
"The last Twilight standing is indeed our Twilight." Spike said with a smile. "So let's begin with 'Twister'."
Phobos put down a Twister mat as the first game begins. Ben spins the wheel, calling out colors and body part. The clones of the purple unicorn do their best to do this game without reading or studying...which is difficult as they don't know how this game works.
One Twilight clone looks concerned as she uses her magic to get a instruction booklet, asking, "How does this work?"
"Bad idea," Golden Heart exclaims as he fires a blast at the clone, causing here to blow up and get send back to the pool. "All right, let's continue!"
The game of Twister continues onward until Ben got out the next game: Willpower. It involves Spike and Phobos bringing in shelves with books in them...about Star-Swirl the Bearded.
"All right, Twilight clones, to make this fair, these books are about Star-Swirl the Bearded and his secrets." Ben explains to the Twilight clones. "Whoever last the longest without..."
Suddenly the Twilight clones freak out as they rush to the books, grabbing some and reading about Star Swirl the Bearded. Golden Heart smirks as he fires the spell at the clones, causing them to explode like mad. Nyx exclaims loudly, "Wow, this is too easy!"
"Yeah, we should've thought of this one long ago!" Phobos exclaims happily.
As the dust is settled, only 1 Twilight remains, one who refuses to go to the shelves, refusing to move. Ben in concern trots up and ask, "Twilight? Please tell me that's you." The mare smiles as she held up a hoof, showing a familiar sticker, "Twilight!"
"Mommy," Nyx exclaims as she jumps onto Twilight, hugging her eagerly. "It's you! You resist reading about Star-Swirl the Bearded!"
"I can't give in...I don't want to leave you, my friends or my family." The real Twilight explains while hugging Nyx happily. "Even if it's about Star Swirl the Bearded..."
"Awww, not to worry, it's just useless junk anyway." Spike explains with a laugh, much to Twilight's surprise. "I figure your clones wouldn't resist reading about the unicorn wizard."
"Crazy trick...but it works I guess."
"Well, one real Mane Six member down, five more to go." Golden Heart said with a chuckle as he glances at the other Mane Six members waiting anxiously. "And that would be fun now that we got the real Twilight."
"All right, now that we found you- the real Twilight, we need to get rid of the rest of the clones and get the rest of the real Mane Six." Ben said.
"Will the Pinkie Pie clones come in at this time?" Golden Heart calls out to the Pinkie Pie clones who bounce/trot into the building.
"Thank you for your cooperation." Twilight said with a nod. "I am of course the real Twilight, sticker and all. Now then, to see which one is the real Pinkie Pie...here is your test."
"Watching paint dry," Spike exclaims as he removes a cover off a wall that has painting drying.
"Whoever moves will be eliminated." The cloaked one explains to the Pinkie Pies. "And whoever is left standing or sitting is the real Pinkie Pie."
All the Pinkie Pies gasped in unison and terror at the test. This sounds hard for them!
"On your mark, get set, go!" Twilight shouted.
Nyx pauses then comments, "Actually, I think this happen in the actual episode."
Yeeeah, you're right, Nyx, so let’s cut to the chase. The narrator (which me) fast forwards to the end.
"Pinkie, you can look away now." Twilight said with a smile to Pinkie, who was still gazing at the paint.
"Did...did I win?" Pinkie asks puzzled then she looks confused. "Wait, how come we didn't do the whole scene?"
"It happened in the actual episode, Auntie Pinkie Pie, so there's no point in showing it." Nyx explains, much to the puzzlement of the others but the cloaked one.
"Ooooh; Okay, back in character; did I win?" Pinkie asks the others hopefully.
"Correct, you have given enough willpower and prove yourself to be the real Pinkie Pie." Golden Heart explains to Pinkie proudly.
"I...I just can't leave my friends, I just can't." Pinkie said with a slow nod.
"Uh, first, to make sure...sticker," Twilight ask Pinkie. The real pink pony smiles as she held up a hoof that shows the familiar sticker, "Yep! You're the real Pinkie Pie all right."
"Are you sure those won't come off?" Spike asks Pinkie in concern.
"Nah; only the ones that the stickers are stuck to can remove them; Nothing else can," Pinkie exclaims happily, revealing that the ones that the stickers are stuck to can remove them, so no one else or an accident can do so.
"Well, 2 Mane Six ponies down, 4 more to go." Nyx said with a smile.
"Will the Rarity clones come in at this time?" Golden Heart calls out to the Rarity clones to come into the building.
The Rarity clones then walked into the building properly until they gathered at the same spot the Pinkie clones once were.
"Okay, Spike, try to keep yourself under cool." Phobos advises Spike who looks at the Rarity clones as if in a dream. "The idea is to find out who the real Rarity is, not go crazy."
"I know. I will try, but it won't be easy..." Spike said while breathing in and out. This Dragon is going to do his best to keep himself under control.
"All right, we found out who the real me and Pinkie Pie is." Twilight explains to the clones. "And now it's time to find out the real Rarity. This one involves dresses."
"The task is that you must make...'simple' clothing." Ben said with a mischievous smirk on his face.
This got all the Rarity clones to gasp in horror at the sound of that.
"You got it, nothing fancy or anything extra. A test of willpower if you may," Pinkie remarks with a sly grin, "The real Rarity would remember how she gave a simple birthday dress to Twilight that is the same way."
Golden Heart, Twilight and Ben use their magic to bring in some fabric and the usual tools. Golden Heart then explains while showing a chart of the simple clothes in mind, "The one to keep their hold in not altering the design...is the real Rarity."
"Ready, set...GO!" Twilight shouted out.
The Raritys yelp as they got to work. Not doing anything fancy can be a pain.
"Hmm, how can we tell which Rarity will break?" Nyx ask curiously.
"Like that!" Twilight exclaims as she saw one Rarity trying to put in some jewels then the mare blasts the clone. "All right, clonies, keep going!"
"Oh, this is the...WORST...POSSIBLE...THING!" Three clones groan at their dresses and fell onto the couch with groans. Then they got up and try to change it around...
Only for Golden Heart to blast the clones as well; the alicorn comments, "All right, those three are out of the competition!"
"But it's not over yet!" The cloaked figure announced.
The hosts watch the Raritys at work. Some got under dress and try to alter the design with jewels, ribbons, extra. Those clones got eliminated from the competition.
Eventually, it comes down to two Raritys. One of these has to be the real one. So far, the two has done their work in making simple dresses.
"Hmmm...." Spike said as he checks the dresses out carefully. "Well, both are simple. Looks like a tie."
"But how can we tell which one is the real Rarity now?" Twilight ask in concern, wondering how to solve the final riddle.
"I got an idea." Twilight said with a smile. She uses her magic...to bring in a diamond. "Hey, look, a diamond!" The mare throws it quickly.
"A diamond," One of the two Raritys asked excitedly, "GIMME!!" Then she ran towards the diamond and started grabbing for it eagerly.
"Bye bye!" Ben laughs as Golden Heart fires a blast at the Rarity grabbing for the diamond, causing her to blow up and disappear.
Soon, only one Rarity is left...but just to be sure, Twilight motions her to hold up one hoof. Sure enough, the real Rarity holds up one hoof, showing a familiar sticker.
"RARITY," Most of the group laughs as they run over and hug her.
"My goodness...how did you know that it was me?" Rarity asks Twilight in amazement by what she did.
"I know you like diamonds, Rarity, but you are the Element holder of Generosity. You care about your friends that you would never abandon them...even for jewels." Twilight explains to Rarity with a smile.
"Why... why, of course I wouldn't!" Rarity exclaimed as she hugged her friends happily.
Spike takes the jewel and bit into it, making him yelp, "Ouch! Hey, this diamond isn't even real!"
"Well, duh, that was a fake one I made for this." Twilight explains to Spike with a laugh. "Rarity already knew that the test may end up in a tie so she suggests that I made it just in case."
"Aaaand Rarity didn't chase it, because she's the only one who knows that it's a fake." Phobos remarks with a scoff of annoyance. "What a way of spoiling it!"
"Regardless, Phobos, here I am." Rarity said with a smile, "The only Rarity."
"Now that leaves 3 more Mane Six ponies and their clones." The cloaked one said with a nod under her hoof. "Who's next?"
"Next up is Rainbow Dash...but I think we will take this outside." Golden Heart said with a nod. "What we need to do next is too big for the indoors."
Outside, the Rainbow clones stood as Golden Heart's group are in front of them. Ben calls out, "All right, you Pegasi, time for you to do some hard work..."
"But here's the catch." Twilight said to Rainbow with a slight smirk. "You gotta do so...without your wings or trying to look cool by performing any stunt tricks!"
"Whoa, whoa! No way, I am outta here." A Rainbow clone remarks as she flies off.
"Same here," Another one said as she and four more clones speed off.
Bad mistake as Golden Heart and Twilight fires the spell at the Rainbow clones, causing them to explode and be sent back to the pool.
"That would happen if you refuse to play the game." Nyx explains to the Rainbow clones with a mischievous smirk, "Any questions?"
"Yeah, does the girl of My Little Immortal know you raided her wardrobe?" A Rainbow clone asks Nyx with a smirk, causing some of the clones to chuckle.
"You will find the answer to that one when this is over!" Ben snaps to the clone who scoffs. "Don't mess with the bull, filly, or you get the horns!"
"And begin!" Twilight exclaims while pointing to the hard work like wagons, plows, etc. "Get going."
The clones groan, but do so anyway. Some of the clones do their best to do hard work without flying or pulling stunts.
"Hey, check this out!" A clone laughs as she moves around, pulling a wagon stunt like a pro, "Awesome, eh?"
Twilight fires a blast at the clone, sending her away. Rarity calls out, "I believe the rules say 'no stunts'."
"And there goes another one!" Pinkie announced.
The whole contest continues on. Some of the Rainbow clones got bored then they flew off. Golden Heart fires the spell, sending them packing.
"Wowie; this is what I called 'Dash Hunt'." The cloaked pony exclaims.
"Except you need the dog; Arf arf arf," Pinkie giggles playfully while bouncing up and down.
"'Dash Hunt'; Sounds like a cool game!" Nyx exclaimed.
This goes on for a few minutes or so. Some of the Rainbow Dashes try to make their hard work easy by flying or pulling stunts, and face it folks, they keep losing.
Soon like before, there are two Rainbow Dashes left...and one of them keeps on hitting trees with her back feet, sweating like mad.
"Two left...how can we figure out? Do the same thing like for the Rarity one?" Spike asks in concern.
"Hmmm, I think I got an idea." The cloaked pony remarks with a sly grin. "Everypony but Goldie; look away for this next part."
Everypony except the clones and Goldie looked away.
"Hey Dashie," The cloaked pony remarks making the two Rainbows look at her. She removes her hood, revealing her face as Pinkamena. "Your number just came uuuuuup!"
"GAH! Brr brr brr brr brr brr brr," The Rainbow who was working hard scream but kept on apple bucking.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" The other Rainbow clone screams as she flies off.
"There's the clone, get her, Goldie!" The cloaked one said as she put her hood back on. Golden zaps the fleeing Rainbow clone, leaving one more. "Okay, you can turn back now."
"Rainbow," Twilight ask as she turns back, showing Rainbow, sweating as she kept bucking the trees. "Is that you?"
"Yes..." Rainbow groans as she shows the sticker. "And now...can I pass out now?"
"Yes, go ahead, Dashie." Pinkie said happily. Rainbow groans as she faints.
"How did you know that she would do that?" Golden Heart asks his sister curiously.
"Simple. While the real Dashie would get the brrs from me, she would stay around instead of flying off like a coward." Pinkamena explains to Golden Heart happily. "She is the Element of Loyalty. Even this mare is loyal even when I scared her."
"How...on second thought, I prefer not to know." Rarity said with a shudder. "I am glad we found the fourth member."
"That leaves Fluttershy and Applejack." Ben said with a nod. Two more tests and this madness is over.
The next test is at a field where the Fluttershy test is going to be at. A lot of animals are there along with the original and her clones. The meek ones look a bit worried, wondering what's going to happen.
"Welcome, Fluttershy clones." Phobos said to the Fluttershy with a smile, "And just plain Fluttershy."
"For this test, it involves animals...but you cannot stop them when they fight." Golden Heart explains making the Fluttershys gasp in worry. "You are to observe how the wild life nature of the animal kingdom works."
"Like say this." Twilight said as she begins casting a spell onto the animals.
The animals suddenly roar and begin going wild, trying to fight or catch one another, hiding, getting in danger. The Fluttershys begin to get worry, trying their best not to do anything...
But eventually, most of them panic and rush in to help put the end of the conflict as best as they can. Due to the madness, the clones fail to see Golden Heart and Twilight using their best on the clones, sending them back to the Mirror Pool. When all is calm, only 1 Fluttershy is around, not moving or doing a thing.
Golden Heart removes the spell, calming the animals down, and came over to Fluttershy, saying, "Fluttershy. Congratulations. You won."
"Fluttershy," Rainbow ask as she waves a hoof in front of her friend's face...and the mare faints, making a goat noise, showing the sticker thus proving that she's the real deal, "Hoo boy. I think the temptation of not helping mad animals have freaked her out."
Pinkie shakes Fluttershy, waking her up as she groans, "Oh dear. I just have a terrible dream. What happened?"
"Just be happy that you're the real deal." Pinkie giggles as she and the others laughs a bit. Now only one more test is left.
The Applejacks are the only ones left and thus there's one test left to prove which one is the real one...and it involves Sweet Apple Acres.
"All right, listen up; we will be doing some work on the Apple Family Apples." Ben explains to the Applejacks clearly. "Your test is you must not help in letting others handle them in how they are gathered, handled and taken care of."
"Anyone who violates the rules are out." Rainbow explains to the Applejacks clearly. "And...time to begin!"
Golden Heart's group got to work on the apples. Of course, some of them use magic; others eat them or clumsily drops them and not handling them with care. The Applejacks are doing their best not to get involved at all...but the temptation...seeing the Apples being mistreated this way.
"Hey, hey," One Applejack yells out at Rarity who refuses to get some apples in the dirt. The clone rushes over and snaps, "Get yer flank in 'de dirt an' get those apples!"
"Not a chance...and you broke the rules by getting involves. Bye, darling," Rarity taunts as Twilight blasts the Applejack clones with the send back spell, getting rid of it.
Two clones yelps and rush over to try to help Fluttershy and Nyx with some baskets, but got blast back as well. Some of the clones, having enough with the magic, rush over to scold Golden Heart, Ben and Twilight for using magic on their farm like that...only to get blast away as well.
The rest of the contest involves the clones doing their best not to help but they end up falling to the temptation and doing so anyway. Golden Heart and Twilight uses the send back spell on them clones like mad.
Soon after all is done, only one Applejack is left...one who is sleeping against a tree, snoring. The ponies chuckles a bit and check her hoof. Yep, there's the sticker.
"Hey, AJ, hey," Rainbow exclaims, shaking the real Applejack awake.
"What? Oh, sorry, Ah figure if Ah just sleep throughout 'dis whole thing, it would be over an' all mah clones would be gone." Applejack explains to her friends sheepishly. "Did Ah won?"
"Yep, every one of the clones are gone and you're the only one left." Spike explains to Applejack with a chuckle, "Typical of ya...sleeping on the job."
"Shucks, 'dis ain't a job, 'dis is a contest...an' Ah just chose 'ta sleep through it!"
"Did you guys see that? No more clones. Only the true originals remain." Ben said with a smile. All the clones are gone, send back to the Mirror Pool from where they came from. The originals are the only ones left.
"Yay, we did it!" Pinkie exclaims happily.
"Not quite." Twilight said as she looks down in guilt. "The clones are gone...but we got one thing left to do."
The others knew what Twilight meant. They got to apologize for what happened.
The ponies of Ponyville now notice that the clones are gone by now. Golden Heart has called in a meeting at city hall. Every pony arrives and are a bit alarmed upon seeing the Mane Six...luckily, they calm down after realizing that these ponies are the real deals.
"Everypony...recently, my friends and I have found a Mirror Pool which we use to make clones of ourselves to help make our jobs easier." Twilight explains in guilty. "We...were wrong."
"Yep, 'de whole thing got out o' hoof 'ta 'de point 'dat we scared y'all an' almost destroyed all o' Equestria." Applejack said in sadness. "We done wrong...an' wish fer forgiveness fer our mistake."
"Yes, we realize that if something is too much to handle by one's self alone, then asking for help, or requiring more time isn't a bad thing to ask." Rainbow said in concern while rubbing the back of our neck.
"It shows that no one can do so much work and effort that takes more ponies to perform or even accomplish without teamwork." Rarity said with a nod.
"Plus, from now on, we will ask for help instead of taking the crazy way out, right Flutter?" Pinkie asks Fluttershy who nods in agreement.
"Yes...we're sorry, please don't hate us. We will fix what we and our clones have done." Fluttershy said to the ponies with a whimper. For a while, looks like the citizens were silent, not saying or doing a thing. The Mane Six are worried for a moment that they won't be forgiven...
But then the Mayor smiles while saying, "Well...we are a bit upset over what happened...but seeing how you six fix things and if you're willing to help fix things...then perhaps we all can give you all a hoof in helping in your tasks until everything is back to normal."
The ponies cheers on and nod. The Mane Six smile, with tears from their eyes. They have been forgiven for the Mirror Pool and thus are given help to fix their messes.
"I see that you all learned your lessons, my little ponies." A familiar voice spoke. The ponies gasps as a familiar princess appears from out of nowhere, causing most of them to bow.
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight gulps as she bows down to her teacher/aunt-in-law.
"How long have you been listening, mom,” Ben ask his mother in bewilderment.
"Long enough; Ever since I heard of the clone madness, I investigate and saw that my student and her friends were responsible." Celestia explains to Ben, making the Mane Six look a bit guilty. She smiles while adding, "But they were willing to fix their mistakes and willing to clean up things. I just stay invisible so that I can listen to that wonderful Friendship Report."
"Geez, you could've just shown up to do so." Phobos remarks to Celestia in annoyance.
"And ruin the surprise? The Herd forbids, Dragon, the Herd forbids!"
For the next few days, Ponyville and all of Equestria goes under repairs for what happened by the clones. Twilight, Ben and Big Macintosh also made sure to cover the hole to the Mirror Pool to make sure that what happened will never happen again.
And after a while, everything is repaired with everything back to normal (or what's close to normal anyway). One's thing for sure: the next time that any of the Mane Six needs help on something, they will ask for it, that's for sure!
The show was over, in the current reality, by the time Twilight came downstairs. Nyx wanted a drink of water and the alicorn mother went downstairs to get some.
"Enjoy your show?" Twilight ask Pinkie in amusement as the show came to an end.
"Yep," Pinkie remarks, yawning a bit, "Wow, that was funny...yet crazy at the same time. At least only I got cloned."
"Thank goodness for that. Too many Pinkie Pies are one thing; too many Mane Sixes are another."
"Oooh, you did title references there!"
Twilight shook her head in amusement. Her friend can be so random. Pinkie left to go back home while the purple alicorn went to the kitchen to get a glass of water before going upstairs to give it to Nyx and head back to bed. Once both are gone, two familiar figures sneak down to the Universal Finder and have the following exchange, both are whispering.
"Why did you wake me, Spike?" Ben asks Spike quietly.
"That wasn't on purpose. I was trying to sneak down to use the Universal Finder machine and woke you up by accident." Spike admits to Ben sheepishly.
"Just out of curiosity, what did you want to ask the Universal Finder Machine?"
"I just wanted to find out what would have happened if I was hatched and raised by Celestia herself seven years before she even met Twilight (thus putting me and Twilight at almost the exact same age) and Twilight and I were full partners instead of me being her assistant. Haven't YOU ever been curious about seeing what would have happened under different circumstances."
Ben pauses to think then admits, "Now that you mention it, I always WAS curious about what would have happened if Boris never cursed me and, thus, I never had to go into hiding."
"Meaning that you would have been able to accompany me and Twilight when we first arrived in Ponyville?" Spike assk Ben with a grin.
"Correct. So, want to flip a coin to see which one of our suggestions we ask the machine about first?"
As the two are debating, not one of them spots a familiar figure peeking in through a window, having seen the whole show before hand. As Ben and Spike talk, Lorcan has a thought of his own.
"Hmm...I wonder what would happen if I asked to have learned the truth of Spike's situation sooner than expected his kidnapped & death state?" Lorcan ponders under his breath of such a fact if that could have happened to him instead of the other way around. "Hugh, I guess that's a question best left alone." He shrug to laugh off before continuing to hid in the shadows to watch Ben & Spike continue trying to figure out, who gets the next turn to ask a question. This could take a while.
