The Attempt At Freedom

The pony begins his way down a narrow hallway, making his way past fellow cursed warriors who chose to roam the Undead Asylum. Each and every warrior watched, with eyes as dark as death, watch as the pony makes his way through the hall. One of the cursed steps in front of him, but is impaled with a jagged end a broken sword, and falls dead.

"Nothing will stop me from leaving... I.. I don't belong here..." The pony thinks to himself, his gaze frozen on the body he just impaled, then sheathes his broken sword.

Opening the door, he heads into a darkened hallway leading to a lit opening. Upon reaching the opening, he stops to examine two giant doors and a small make shift fire pit constructed of a pile of ashes and a charred iron sword stuck in the middle. The pony walks in front of the fire pit, and glances at the doors before raising a hoof, and igniting a small flame, then sits to rest for warmth and comfort.

After his quick rest, the pony stands in front of the doors, and takes in a deep breath. Raising his hooves to the door, he pushes them open to a large, empty room. He examines the room and notices two more giant doors on the other side, and carelessly darts towards them. However, he is stopped by the guardian of the Asylum, Flash Sentry, who just plummets to the ground from the top of the room.

Flash may have been of the same species, however, was a lot bigger than the average pony. He wielded a great hammer, half the size of his own body, and wore gold, rusted armor. Flash glared at the pony with intent to kill, and raised his hammer. The pony dodged as the hammer struck the ground where he once stood. He took this chance to run towards the doors in attempt to open them, however, found himself stuck between Flash and two, very big locked doors. Flash still had his hammer on the ground, but was swift enough to twist his body and drag the hammer towards the pony. Within a second, the pony found himself sitting at the bonfire outside of the two very doors he opened a few moments ago.

"What the..?" The pony looked around the familiar place. He was once again standing by the fire he had lit moments ago.

After resting for a moment or two at the bonfire, and coming up with a small strategy for when he went in again, he put his small plan into action. He opened the doors to Flash impatiently awaiting him. Upon taking his first steps in, Flash charged towards him and swung his hammer. The pony swiftly dodged the attack with a roll, and noticed a small gateway to the side as he recovered. Before he could think, he acted. The pony ran to gain some distance between him and Flash. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a blood puddle with a green, weary mist emitting from the blood. Without thinking, he ran over the spot, and made his way for the gate.

The pony heard a loud crash behind him only seconds after he took his first step towards the gate. A second swing barely misses his back hooves as he began to pick up speed, and barely make it through the doorway as the gate closed. However, the pony didn't hesitate to keep running until he found another fire pit just down the hallway. He lit the fire, rested again, and continued on his way.

"I need to kill Flash.. but how..? I need a better sword.." The pony thought as he turned a corner to a narrow hall leading to an undead archer. The archer rested an arrow on his bow, pulled the string back, took aim, and fired. The arrow nearly skimmed the ponies mane, however, he marched foreword.

As the archer took aim once more, the pony stepped aside into a small cell, and noticed a corpse laying on the floor in the middle with a sword impaled in its back. The pony quickly swapped it with the broken sword he had been carrying and peaked around the corner to try and spot the archer. With a split decision, the pony held the sword between his teeth, and rushed out of the cell and towards the archer, dodging every arrow that was sent his way. With one quick swipe of his new sword, the archer was down.

After making it past the archer, the pony noticed another cell with a familiar pony laying on a pile of bricks. He trotted up to the bars to try and get a better look, and noticed there was no other way to get into the cell. The iron bars were crafted into the brick wall, and there was no form of a make shift gate either.

The pony trotted around to see if there any other ways the armored pony could have made it in the cell, but found nothing. He turned around and noticed a flight of stairs behind him. He looked back at the cells walls, and then quickly trotted his way up the stairs, but was quickly stopped by a stomach twisting noise. A giant boulder had came rolling down the stairs, and the pony tried to stand out of its way, however, was knocked down the stairs as the rock broke a whole into the cell.

As the pony recovered from the fall, he noticed the whole, and went into the cell. The armored pony didn't move, but knew somepony was there.
