//-------------------------------------------------------// World of War Games (Tanks!) -by Posh_Mudcrab- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Making a Spell //-------------------------------------------------------// Making a Spell Luna was bored, she had nothing to do. She had no friends, only her sister and a pile of magazines that makes fun of her sister. She no longer wanted to go adventuring outside of the castle like when she was a filly, but now she wanted to sit in her room and giggle at the magazines. One magazine called her sister, "Sun Butt". After a month of the tiring routine of magazines, moon raising, night court, and the overseeing of the night guards. she realized she was bored, and needed a friend to play with. Obviously, none of her citizens would be her friend due to Nightmare reasons, nor the guards becuase they're like statues, and the Elements only sent her that one message asking how to bake cake. Luna decided to leave her room for the first time in two months, walking towards the Starswirl wing of the castle. When she walked in to the library, she went straight to the "Universal Spells & Chants" isle. After thirty minutes of looking up and down the isle, she found three books and laid them out on the floor. Hoping one of these books would find what she's looking for, she opened the middle one. It was big, old, and made of leather. 'The leather we brought from Griffonia felt so nice, I'll have to ask the emperor were he gets them.' Sadly the book had nothing good in it, neat tricks on how to look like a sibling and some on how to leave different colors of fire in your tracks, but nothing relatively useful. She put the book back on its shelf. Luna reached for the second book on the left, It was small and looked sort of new, about two hundred years. She flipped through the pages, the small book was very thick and one chapter was about thirty pages, so she was reading for a good three hours. After those three hours, she found nothing yet again, but she did find a formula and instructions on how to make your own spells. Luna sighed,'If the last book doesn't have the spell I'm looking for the only friend I'll have is the moon, I hope it's here' Luna flipped through the pages once again, but at a slower pace. She wanted to make sure she won't miss it and be stuck with her moon. She finished easily, for the book was thin, but nothing she needed nor wanted was there. Luna started to tear up, she would stuck without a friend for all eternity. After another hour of sobbing in the fetal position, she had to get up to raise the moon. She was still upset The raising of the moon always made her smile, but it didn't help her then. 'Why isn't there a spell to find a friend? This is Equestria, everypony is friends with each other, so a spell on friend searching would be an easy to find spell!', Luna wide eyed, then face hoofed (smacking herself in the eye),'If there isn't a spell to find a friend, I could make one! "...After I head to the nurse, ow." Luna walked in the halls once again towards the Starswirl wing, a nifty eye patch with her cutiemarks on it was placed over her blackened eyed. "Why did I have to hit myself so hard?" She said, rubbing her injury. Arriving back at the Royal Library and finding the small thick book, she took the instructions and formula and teleported back to her room, locking the door and laughing with glee. The instructions were fairly simple, thinks of the spell you want, concentrate, and create. "By Mother's beard, a foal could create a spell powerful enough to blow up Canterlot! We should really work on security, but that's not important, I might have a new friend!" The spell was almost finished and a tiny hole in the fabric of space and time opened. Luna looked in it, but nothing important was in it. Just the vast knowledge of what was and what would ever be, multiple worlds and universes were being born and dying simultaneously in the portal. Different outcomes, if Nightmare Moon won, if Celestia was evil, If the Elements of harmony never existed, many existed and Luna lived in one, but it's a stupid portal in space and time, so Luna let it do its thing and got back to finishing the spell. *Ding!* A noise echoed through her room, Luna looked around for the source, but instead a white line a words popped up in front of her. *The spell is complete!* It read,*Please name your spell.* And like that a big, red book fell in front of Luna. The book was titled "Created Spell Names" Luna reached for it but her magic did not work. *Your magic is drained, due to spell creation. Please wait: 23:59:37 to fully regain magic. Thank you.* Luna pondered how to open the book, but the book opened it self, flipping through hundred of spell Luna didn't get to see, stopping on an empty page, a quill with ink appeared to the left of the book. Thinking nothing could go wrong, she wrote in the book, "Universal Friend Searching" and put the quill back in the ink jar. The white bar came up again,*Would you like to activate the spell now? Please write answer in the book.* Luna did not hesitate, she picked the quill again with her mouth and wrote her answer. Yes. *Are you sure?* Yes. *Please wait . . . Complete,"Universal Friend Searching" Spell has been preformed.* Luna looked around the room for her new friend but found nothing. she looked back to the white texts "But, nopony is here." As if the text heard her it responded,*Your new "Friend" has arrived at these coordinates.* Luna looked over the numbers and asked a guard for a map. after receiving said map, she looked on the map for the coordinates. She looked up from the map to the white texts. "Oh, thank you thank you thank you!" She reached to hug the floating texts, but ended up going through them and landing muzzle first on the marble flooring. *Thank you for creating one of many spells, good bye.* the text vanished and Luna was bye herself again, but with a bloody nose. After an hour of walking to the nurse again, be scolded, then given treatment. Luna decided she should finally go to sleep, after all it was still midday. She walked to her room, and tucked herself in, snug between the pillows and blankets. Thinking about how her new friend would be, but before she can come up with her own answers, she fell fast asleep. What she didn't notice was something was placed in her room, a big round cylinder with a pointed tip was rested on the corner of her room. And out in the distance, noises could be heard. The sound of a metal beast and it's pack, slowly moving their way out of the Everfree, crushing and destroying anything in their path. //-------------------------------------------------------// What!? //-------------------------------------------------------// What!? Luna woke up, but not naturally, one of the guards shook her awake. "Princess Luna, please wake up! Princess Celestia wishes to see you, it's important!" Luna awoke with a fright and by doing so punched the guard straight in the face. Both guard and moon goddess didn't move, and after a few seconds the guard fell to the floor like liquid. He was out cold. Luna got out of bed and inspected he guard, he wasn't bleeding, but he'll feel it when he wakes up. She picked him up and placed him on the bed, even tucked him in. When she looked up from the guard in her bed, she saw a strange object leaning in the corner. 'I've never seen this thing before, and I would have known if and where I acquired it.' Luna had questions for her sister, like what this object was, why hide a magic spell making book, and why the book doesn't have restrictions in the event somepony makes a destructive spell. She picked up he object with a small grunt, for it was heavier than it looked, and she still had to wait a while for her magic to replenish, making this job twice as hard. Carrying it to the throne room, she pushed the door open with her rump, dragging it with her hooves. As the moon sister and the giant pointy object entered the room, Luna stopped half way to sit down and rest, wiping the sweat away. Her room was very far from the throne. Panting due to the heavy lifting, she called out,"Sister, are you here?" The castle was a lot bigger since the last time she was here (about 5 years*), for every room was expanded and refurbished to look spacious and lovely. The throne room though, was by far the greatest part of the castle, 50 or so columns on each side of the throne room, ribbons of the sun on one side and ribbons of the moon on the other. In between each column was a window with a story telling the sisters' story, from their parents, to the Elements, to the present of discord being sealed in stone. The room was bright and a long red carpet with gold trim was showing the way to two extravagant thrones, both designed to tell the life stories of the princesses. If you asked Luna, it was a bit much. She missed the old castle, it was closer to the working ponies. Not these stuck up snobs, that call themselves Nobles. "Tia, are you here? If you are, I can't see you, the room is too big!" She tried to look to see if Celestia was at the throne, but because of it's massive size, it made it impossible.(It scares the new guards, when they can't see the princesses.) "Luna, is that you? I can't hear you clearly! Speak up!" Replied a dim voice. "What? I can't hear you!" She yelled back. "What? I can't hear you!" the voiced mirrored. Luna groaned with frustration, she decided that it was completely bad idea to talk to her sister from a room the size of two and a half hoofball fields. "Hold on Sister, I'm coming to you!" She yelled over. "...Okay!" the voiced replied clearly. Luna huffed as she dragged the mystery object across the floor, scratching the hospital white marble flooring, a few time the scratching would emit a painful shriek, hurting her ears, and she bet her sisters. A quarter left to go Luna stopped to realize something. "Wait a minute, you could hear me!" No reply came until,"W-what?" being a quarter left she could see her sister snickering at her expense. *Grrr* "Sister, why have you never told me of a spell making book?" Luna asked, finally arriving to her throne seting the pointed metal object next to her throne while she threw her self to the cushions. "Luna, what is that thi-" Luna held up her hoof and ordered a servant for two gallons of Ponyade. The servant came back with cucumber flavored Ponyade. "No not cucumber! Who even drinks this? You know what, never mind." Luna grumbled to herself. "Sister?" Celestia asked, wondering what the object in between the goddesses thrones is. "What?!" Luna replied back with annoyance. Celestia shrunk back,"I-I just wanted to know what that object is. Where did you find it?" Luna grumbling,"Frankly sister, I thought you knew. As for where I found it, I come to the conclusion that it was summoned when I made that spell." She mumbled angrily,"And it's one sick joke of a friend. I mean really, an inanimate object?" "You made a spell?" Celestia asked. "About that how come you had it hidden?" Luna returned with her own question. Before the sun goddess could answer, a royal guard in gold and diamond armor came running through the halls. Seeing how he had no time to run to them, he teleported in front of them. "Princesses some metal beasts are on the outside of the North walls as well as the South! Other reports say more are appearing around Ponyville, The Crystal Empire, Griffonia, Coltifornia, and Detrot! What should we do?" The guard had a slight panic in his voice. Luna still tired rolled her eyes and rolled up into a ball for a quick rest, both Sun Princess and Guard stared. Luna reopened her eyes with great annoyance, "What are you wait for invitations to the Gala,General Diamond Shield? Go assemble the guard and Scramble the Pegasi!" The Diamond Shield Salute quickly and bolted for the doors, completely forgetting about the teleportation spell. "Sister are you okay?" Celestia asked with concern. "I'm fine, just go calm down the residents. I'm gonna rest here, remind me to move my room closer the throne room." "If you say so sister, but you'll still have to tell me more about that object next to you." Celestia pointed at the object, she then powered her horn and teleported to Canterlot Square to make sure no 'Nobles' were freaking out. Luna was by herself again, the guards ran out seconds after Celestia. Luna looking at the object with thought, she sighed, "If only I new Sister."
