When the Puzzle Pieces Fall Together

Party cannons exploded and ponies danced out of their minds. They were at Rainbow Dash's birthaversary. Cheese Sandwich stepped out from behind the curtain.

"Alright, everypony! We're here to celebrate the birthday," Cheese said.

"And anniversary!" Pinkie added.

"Of Rainbow Dash!" They both said at the same time. Spotlights pointed at a present in the sky. It burst open to reveal the star of the party: Rainbow Dash.

"Hey, everypony! Who's ready to get your party on?!" She asked the crowd. "Hit it!" She shouted.

Pinkie Pie stepped onto the stage and began singing.

"Get your hooves up, party starting out right now!" Rainbow floated above the crowd. Pinkie was wearing a top hat and a giant bow tie. She was standing up on her hind legs and moving her forelegs in some kind of dance move. Rainbow watched in awe, she had such a beautiful singing voice.

"Everypony everypony get down! Time to make a wish, better make it right now!" Rainbow circled around the cake to blow out the candels. When she was done she turned to see Pinkie already back up on stage. "It's been a year and today it's your birthday party!" Rainbow melted into her voice. It was also bouncy, at the same time.

"Make a wish, it's your birthday, make a wish it's your birthday party!" Rainbow couldn't stop looking at Pinkie. She could feel warmth rising to her cheeks as she watched her, but couldn't tear her eyes away. She finally did when she ate through a giant cupcake and cheese pizza as Pinkie and Cheese took a tiny bit from the side."Make a wish it's your birthday! Make a wish it's your birthday party!" Rainbow bounced off of the old banner Pinkie had originally used. She looked back at Pinkie. Her cheeks flushed again. She shook her head. She had admired Pinkie before, but not like this. She figured it was the party getting to her, so she walked away from the party.

She found Cheese leaning against a tree eating a green cupcake, so she walked over and thanked him for everything. After she finished, she walked farther away from the party. She sat on her haunches and took a deep breath. She wasn't felling any different. She still felt attracted to Pinkie. Suddenly, the realized what was going on, and it it kind of scared her.

Pinkie looked around for the rainbow maned pony, but didn't find her in the party. She spotted her leaning against a tree away from the party. She bounced over to her.

"Hey Dashie!" Pinkie said. "Whatcha doin'?" Pinkie asked.

"Ahh!" Rainbow yelled when she realized who it was. "Pinkie!"

"Why aren't you at the party?" Pinkie asked.

"I... Was just taking a breather from the party." Pinkie cocked her head.

"That doesn't sound like you!" Pinkie said.

"Heheh... Soo I'm the same age as you now, Pinkie." Pinkie gave a confused look.

"Yeah..." Pinkie said. She knew something was eating at Rainbow.

"Dashie, what's wrong?" Pinkie asked.

"What? Nothing!" She said, shooting up into the air.

"Then why don't you come back down to the ground.....?" Pinkie asked in a somewhat seducing voice.

"Heheh, no, I-I'm fine up here!! Heheh!" Rainbow said.

"Okay than!!" Pinkie said in a teasing voice. She turned around and headed back to the party. But instead of bouncing, she slowly walked, and she swished her tail back and fourth.

Why do you gotta make it so damn hard, Pinkie. You're too hot! Rainbow thought.

"Pinkie, wait!" Rainbow yelled.

Pinkie turned around. "Yeeess?" She asked. Rainbow licked her lips. Pinkie had walked so close to her that their muzzles were only mere inches away.
She could feel sweat forming on the back of her neck.

"Ehehe..." Rainbow awkwardly said as she backed up from Pinkie. In return, she just moved closer again. Pinkie was not nervous at all, but Rainbow was, well, really nervous. "Pink- mmmff" Rainbow started but was cut off. Pinkie had pushed herself forward until their muzzles locked. Rainbow hesitated for a moment before returning the kiss. To Rainbow, Pinkie tasted like a strawberry cupcake freshly baked and iced. To Pinkie, Rainbow tasted like peppermint on Hearths Warming Day.

They parted after what seemed like hours. Pinkie opened her sky blue eyes and softly smiled.She had a light crimson hue on her pink cheeks. But Rainbow had a deep crimson shade on her cheeks.

Before either if them said anything, Rainbow dove towards Pinkie and locked their muzzles once more and caused Pinkie to fall back onto the ground with Rainbow standing over her. This time, Pinkie let Rainbow's tongue slide into her mouth, and Pinkie gladly excepted. Their tongues danced together as Pinkie wrapped her forelegs around Rainbow's neck and pulled Rainbow down on top of her. Pinkie let out a small giggle into Rainbow's mouth. Rainbow rolled her
closed eyes.

Twilight was walking with Spike at the party when she noticed the two making out. Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. She opened her wing to conceal Spike's view from the two lovebirds. Twilight walked away quickly with Spike before he asked why she did that.

Farther away, Cheese Sandwich smiled at the sight. "Well Boneless, our work here is done." Behind the curtain, before Pinkie sang, she told him that she liked Rainbow. His suggestion was to get her alone and slowly seduce her. Turns out, Pinkie was good at that. One of Pinkie's eyes popped open to look at him. She smiled while still kissing her blue friend. He smiled back and walked off. Pinkie closed her eye again.

Rainbow Dash's tongue slowly left Pinkies mouth and they finally parted. Pinkie opened one eye, and then the other and she met Rainbow's rose eyes.
Pinkie curled up like a cat in Rainbow's arms and let out a deep sigh as their tails intertwined. Rainbow's birthday present from Pinkie was right there, laying on her stomach.

"Happy birthday, Dashie."
