Dimension Hopper
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryUpon a hill, within a secluded forest, there stood a figure cloaked in black. As the figure stood, radiating an aura of loneliness affecting even the most insensitive of creatures. This land was not meant for me.
In the distance a light shone through the canopy, it seemed to be following the winding path to the hill, upon noticing this the figure's eyes glowed dimly and a grey portal appeared behind the figure, as the figure passed through the portal a band of purest gold fell. The portal closed before the band hit the ground.
A mare arrived on the hill illuminated by the light of a simple lamp, when the light hit the band lying on the ground the mare froze in her tracks. Moments later the band and the mare was gone in a blur of pink, leaving naught but a broken lamp upon the hill.

Upon returning home the mare placed the band on the table and sat looking at it, entranced by her reflection in the polished band. After staring at the band for a while a thought hit her, she started preparations for a party. As she rushed out to buy the food the band seemed to gleam for a second, the mare didn't notice as she was already planning out the whole party in her head.

The next night the Library shook with music and lights, the party had officially started. The party was abuzz with ponies playing and dancing, the game which most ponies were playing was the “You Catch it You Win it” game, this was Pinkie's idea to fairly give the band away, the only rule of this game was “No Wings”. Once it got to the time to throw the band, everypony was entranced by the gleam of the band, their eyes radiating the desire to own such a beautiful band.
Pinkie threw the band, it soared over the heads of the ponies, all shoving past each other to get towards it, until it landed neatly in the outstretched hoof of one Rainbow Dash, who at a loss for words burst out laughing, the other ponies all lost the entranced look of their eyes, and returned to Pinkie for the next round.
Rainbow Dash looked at the band, it was a simple design and it seemed to be just the right size to fit over her hoof like a bracelet, so she tried it on, She had to admit it looked nice on her, the simplicity somehow seemed to increase the coolness of the item, but about twenty percent. She went over to show her friend Rarity, she thought that she would love to look at the band. Once she got over to Rarity, who was over by the window exhausted after dancing, Rarity's eyes lit up, “What a wonderful Bracelet you have there, do you mind if I had a look at it”
“Of course not I came over here to show it you.” answered Rainbow Dash with a smile, trying to remove the band, but although it looked like it should just slide off, it wouldn't budge. Even with Rarity pulling with all of her might and Rainbow Dash flying in the opposite direction with all her might, all they achieved was making a Rainbow Dash missile which hit the speakers causing the music to stop, everypony stopped and stared at Rainbow Dash who flew out the window towards her Home.
Rainbow Dash was flying as fast as possible to get home, pushing the limits of her body, the rainbow coloured trail which occurs when she goes at high speeds started to wrap its way up Rainbow Dash, who was concentrating on getting home as fast as possible and didn't notice until it started to cover up her face, but at this point it was too late, Rainbow tried to stop, but to her horror she found she no longer had control of her wings. The trail started to fade enough for Rainbow Dash to see where she was, to her confusion she didn't recognize the place at all, it most certainly was not home.

Rainbow Dash crashed into the ground sending a shower of grass and mud in all directions, and almost breaking her wing, which after last time she had no intentions of repeating. She sat up, dazed from the impact, and looked around, what she saw took the breath out of her, it was rolling hills for as far as the eye could see with cloud houses scattered, but they were few and far between. This place was close to perfect, even the smell of the place brought her piece, the panic she had felt while she couldn't control her body disappeared, Rainbow Dash sat and just let the feeling of pure contentment wash over her.
After several minutes of this calm, Rainbow Dash saw a mare walking at the base of the hill she had crashed onto, this struck her as odd as she had not seen anypony else since she had crashed, but for some reason although she knew that that fact should trouble her she just couldn't feel bad in this place, so she just lent back again and allowed her mind be sucked into a state of pure contentment once more.

The mare at the base of the hill looked up at the cyan mare atop the hill, “So you’re the one the band chose,” she muttered to herself, brushing a lock of her chestnut brown hair out of her eyes, “lets see what you’re made of.” she grinned taking flight with a powerful strike of her wings, she climbed towards the cyan mare, snoozing away.

Rainbow Dash awoke to find a deep blue mare poking her, she batted away this minor annoyance in this otherwise perfect world, that didn't stop the poking, infact the deep blue mare started to push her until she got up. Slowly Rainbow Dash got up from her resting place, “What do you want, I was sleeping?” she stared into the green eyes of the mare in an attempt to intimidate her, only to have to look away from that blank expression, it hadn't changed since she had awoken, apart from the small grin that flashed as Rainbow Dash looked away blinking furiously, the green-eyed mare finally spoke.
“I would like my bracelet back young lady, if you would be so kind,” Rainbow jumped at the sound of her voice, it was soft as silk, but had an edge to it which was as strong as steel, demanding cooperation, and Rainbow found herself giving the bracelet over before she even registered what had been said. Once she had handed the bracelet over, she remembered her attempt at removing the bracelet before, and pondered on the fact that it had just slid off her. As if reading her mind the mare spoke once more, “The bracelet was obeying my orders, as I said it’s mine,” placing the band in a box which seemed to have grown out of the ground, as it was most definitely not there a few seconds ago, Rainbow Dash looked back towards where the box had been to find only a patch of undisturbed grass with a single flower growing in full bloom. A giggle escaped the green-eyed-mare as she walked away from a confused Rainbow Dash, calling back “You may want to follow me, this isn't the best place to be during the night,” continuing to walk away without looking back to see if Rainbow was following.
