Strangely Familiar

It came like a breeze. So quiet that you don't hear it. But you can feel that it is there. You can feel it against your skin. You don't pay much attention to it, of course. That's the only way the two were different. Breezes come and go without much thought. This train came, and everypony noticed it. They noticed how it wasn't like the normal trains, not even like the Crystal train. It had a front end. But as for the passenger cars, they were dark blue with white tops. Their were only two passenger cars. As if the colors didn't set one off, the fact that it just stood there was strange. You would expect a conducted to open up the train doors and let out whatever amount of passengers out formally. After staring at it for five minutes, Princess Twilight Sparkle determined that no one was coming out.

"It might be making an emergency stop," Twilight theorized," But a conductor would be doing some work, which would possibly involve him coming out." Twilight had come to the station on request of her best friend, Rainbow Dash. She wasn't her only best friend, just the one who had came to get her. Her other best friends were there too. Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie, in her normal bouncy way, was talking a mile a minute about so many possibilities that could explain this strange occurrence. Applejack was conversing with Twilight, agreeing that this train was not on the schedule. Fluttering stood watching, and Rarity was remarking about how it was out fashioned.

"Do you think anypony's actually on it?" Rainbow Dash asked the ponies. One of the other ponies, a green unicorn, checked the train.

"No pony, as far as I can see!" she yelled to the bold pegasus.

"Maybe there's tiny animals on there. And if there are, I hope they're okay," Fluttershy offered. Twilight thought about it. It would make sense, but who would drive the train? Wouldn't they hear the ponies talking? Applejack stomped her hoof.

"Well, ah don't know 'bout the rest of you, but ah ain't gonna stand around and waste mah day. Ah got some trees to harvest. Ah'm goin' in." The ponies looked at her. She had a point, they all had something to do. But the train also gave an ominous look. You'd have to be very brave to go in and look around. The shutters were down. The train could be a trap. Then again, somepony may need help. Applejack began heading to the door of the train car.

"Wait!" a pony called out," I'll come to." The crowd parted to make way for Octavia. She seemed confident that this was no big deal.

"It's probably no big deal. If there are some ponies hurt aboard, you'll need somepony to keep them calm." Applejack nodded in agreement. Other ponies looked at each other, but no pony else volunteered to go.

"Alrighty, it's just you and me then?" No pony moved a muscle.

"Yep. Let's go."

The train door was unlocked, so Applejack didn't have to kick it down. She entered with Octavia behind her. The train room was dark because the shutters were down. The car was empty, though. At least, that's what the two thought. It was quite hard to see around.
