Chapters My mind was not particularly blown at the fact that I might (might ??? Ha! More like will ) be having a litter of foals... There is no way I was going to get used to saying that or thinking that. When Jazz told me, I didn't freak out like she expected me to. I just took a shaky breath after the conversation finished. I can't for the life of me, remember how that conversation had come up.
I walked along the grassy roads to reach my destination. I looked around to make sure I wasn't lost. I caught sight of a familiar looking mare as a merchant talking to Jasmine. Jasmine seemed quite angry with the mare. The merchant stallion, which looked alot like a dragon-pony hybrid, next to her patted her and offered her some tea looking stuff. He accidentally dropped some herbs and they created alittle pouder cloud in Jasmine's face. She coughed. I walked over to her to help her and the mare kept her head down. Probably in guilt or something, I thought. The stallion apologized and held up his offered tea. Jasmine refused and she gripped me. She grunted in pain and held her head.
Jasmine gave me a smile as she plucked some peddles from a pretty red flower. She had been doing that alot lately. I wasn't sure if it was because of the pregnancy thing or what. I smiled back and turned to the huge book propped up on my lap. We were in the library of Wakonda. It was much bigger than Twilight's. It had tall shelves, taller than me, and and there were rows and rows of them. There were even a couple tables where ponies could read. This wasn't Ponyville so I expected this place to have tons of info on my girl. The book was really boring.
DRACONAQUIDraconaquus, plural; draconaqui, a rare and currently extinct species unlike any other known to ponykind. A draconaquus' body consists of several different animal body parts. Draconaqui can vary in color, personality, and body parts. They have intense magical powers and no specific sound. PERSONALITY Draconaqui tend to have varied personalities, just like ponies. They are very aggressive, however, when challenged by another species or even another of its own kind. Males are extremely territorial and hostile as mature adults. When young, males have no control over its magical powers and are very unstable emotionally. Females are gentler in its younger and older years but can be dangerous if its offspring are threatened. Females stay in groups while males travel alone. Males may travel together before reaching full adulthood. It is important for no pony to ever care for a youngling, or young draconaquus. The youngling will become overattached, overprotective, and/or violent towards anypony who is close to the caregiver. HOMELANDS Draconaqui tend to live in grassy, open spaces filled with hills and mountains close by. They enjoy sleeping out in the open and are very harmonous with nature. Their surroundings are usually not in proper order due to the excessive chaotic magic. It was believed that there was a place called 'BlizzardLands'. Nopony knows if it is named this because there are actual constant blizzards or because there are blizzards of chaos magic loose there. MATING & OFFSPRING Mating rituals consist of contests between males who are sexually mature to win over an available female. The male to female ratio is even enough so these contests are very rare. It is occational that two males desire one female but only at the rarest of times will these two males fight over the female. The contests are about strength, magic, and anything else that might show the female ow much the male wants her. Offspring are born after a gestation period of seven months. Draconaqui have litters of younglings as an adaptation to the severe predatory conditions they live in. The offspring age just as ponies do but they seem to be immortal untill an unnatural death. The offspring will not be able to use their powers until early adolesence. NATURAL PREDATORS Dreagons, the draconaqui's sworn enemy, feed off of the chaotic magic of draconaqui and eat or kill the younglings for pure pleasure. Draconaqui tend to get very weak after being fed on by the dreagons. Draconaqui fight and kill dreagons as well since the dreagons are mostly dangerous to offspring and injured adults. Other than dreagons, draconaqui have no other natural enemy.
I blinked. That was more information than I expected. I was kind of bothered at how the narrator of the book spoke of draconaqui like they were animals. I didn't even know if the info was relevent or if it was written by some pony who had a grudge on a draconaquus. If anypony had ever met a draconaquus besides Discord or maybe Jasmine. I sighed and rubbed my eyes. They burned with a need for sleep. It wasn't even that far into the day yet. Just after noon.
Jasmine stiffened. I mentally faceclawed. Draconaqui were the sworn enemies of dreagons! I suddenly wondered, what exactly was a dreagon and what did one look like? I took a deep breath and tried again.really !?" Jasmine's eyes glowed an intimidating yellow and I felt a strange feeling that I hadn't felt in a while creep up on me. "Why do you want to know so much about them, huh? Gonna invite one over? Endanger my babies!?" I shrunk back a little at her practically yelling. The librarian zebra stallion peered at us from around a bookcase. He got one look at Jasmine, started sweating in fear, and cantered away to another part of the library.
Jasmine refused to make eye contact with me. She was feeling guilty. So was I. I got her riled up over something I wasn't really doing. What confused me was her reaction, though. It seemed unlike her. Maybe it was the hormones and stuff? I just couldn't help this feeling that it was something more than that...
Jasmine stared at the bickering pegasus and unicorn. Rainbow Dash and Rarity we're arguing again. It was getting tiresome. I was ignoring them and reading a book about draconaqui. It was very informative. Jasmine turned to me. I looked up. She scoffed and looked away. I whimpered and went back to reading. This went on for the next few days. I didn't understand at first what was wrong but then it hit me.stop tying to make me barf with all your mushy gushy-ness."
I frowned and I felt Jazz shift a little. Rarity had this smile on her face for the longest and it was getting kind of creepy. I cleared my throat. She flinched and blinked. The look Jasmine gave her was priceless. I had to hold back my smile from coming again.
This led me to wonder, how exactly did Jasmine know Zecora? I didn't remember them meeting in Ponyville or anytime during the conflict with her father and Equestria.forgot did you?"
Zecora nodded curtly and grunted in greeting. Jasmine flung her arms around the zebra and squeezed.
"Spike? Hellooo?" I blinked.

Jasmine had spent the past few weeks hanging out with the CMC and meeting new ponies so I decided to hang out with Zecora more and help her shop for those strange herbs she always used. I went to her house and was disappointed when she told me that she had the flu one day. She stood in the doorway of her hut and deliberately tried to block my view. It kinda struck me as odd because she could just cure it with some of those magical tea leaves. When I said that, she smiled and waved her hoof.Cream ?" I repeated. "You're sick because of eating too much cream?"ice-cream ." The zebra whinnied in embarrassment and shooed me away with her hoof. I tried to peer into her hut only to find a big red stallion with dirty blonde mane hair and an apple cutie mark mopping up.
"Begone you peeker!" Zecora swatted me away. "Where is Jasmine, you should seek her!" I smiled slyly and took off. I decided to spy on her instead. I went around and peeked through a window. I saw Bic Mac with a tub of ice-cream and several other containers littered on the hut floor. Zecora approached him and smiled.you here, Pinkie?" The party pony hopped out of the tree and landed on all four hooves. She grinned.
"Hey, Jazz, how's it going? Who's this?" I said when I got to them. The mare smiled at me then at Jasmine.
Jasmine shot me a look. "Shush. Yes, his name is Night Flower but it's because of his hippie parents. He's really cool."watch Rarity's cat or something." Shy Heart glanced at Jasmine in confusion and Jasmine growled.a lot of ice-cream." I sucked my teeth.
We left the hospital in a rush to meet up with Twilight, Princess Luna, and Fluttershy. Jasmine had a checkup so the doctor could make sure she was healthy and that the foals.... (They can still be counted as foals right?) ....were developing properly. The doctor that we were officially assigned was a buffalo. I found it odd since I hadn't seen much buffalo around these parts. The doctor was a female which made it even more odd. The last time I had met a female buffalo (or any buffalo for that matter) was in Appaloosa. Our doctors name was even stranger than her rarity to us. It was Little Squirrel. When she told me that and I giggled, she glared at me long and hard. She didn't smile at me or speak to me for the rest of the checkup.
We arrived at the village square. There were merchants and big townsy buildings. I saw at least ten buffalo, twenty zebras, fourteen donkeys, two mules, five horses, and sixteen ponies in the small bakery that we had gone in. I basically counted the different species because I was bored while waiting for Princess Luna and Fluttershy. Twilight, of course, came early. She had all sorts of books stuffed into her pretty blue saddlebag. It was new. I could tell because she had forgotten the tag on it. Jasmine tried not to look at Twilight while the lavender unicorn was eyeing her with discontent. I sighed. She and Twi had never really gotten along that well.
"Figures you would. And just who do you think you are, calling the Princess 'Luna' like that?"I know that no pony says that anymore!" Twi growled.draconaquus girl." There was silence.
I glanced at Jasmine. She was pouting and thinking real hard. Twilight lowered her head. I think she felt bad. That was kinda harsh... She turned to Jazz.sis ?"
Some pony cleared their throat behind us. I turned and I was relieved to see it was Princess Luna and Fluttershy. Fluttershy was sporting a new mane cut. Her mane a and tail were trimmed about two inches and were in waves. She smiled at us. Princess Luna had her mane in a ponytail. She was sporting a lime green sweater with matching horse shoes.
We were all silent. Princess Luna did lose her sister after all. No pony really wanted to touch upon the subject around it period. It didn't really help that it was Jasmine's fathers' fault why Princess Celestia was dead. It was a wonder that Princess Luna didn't stop talking to Jasmine after all that. I actually thought that Princess Luna didn't hold it against her and she genuinely liked Jazz. We spoke more of the possible danger the two posed and we decided to think it over. Before she left, Fluttershy pulled out a piece of paper with an address on it.
I listened to the little heart beats go. They sounded so fragile and weak. Jasmine was smiling so big. I smiled too. I was enjoying seeing her happy.
Jasmine said she would go see Princess Luna and flew off. I went on my way. I saw Zecora and Big Mac cuddling on a bench in a really flowery area. I waved to them. Zecora blushed and waved while Big Mac gave me an impish grin. He seemed really sure of himself. Good for him. I always liked to see love in the air. I decided to hang out with the CMC that day. I hadn't seen them in a while. I looked around and found them in a clearing. Sweety Belle was holding Applebloom on her back while Scootaloo did back flips over them. I ran up to them.
Turns out, the joint was sort of like a club/hangout for teens like us. (yes, teens , I'm only eighteen. The CMC just turned sixteen.) Applebloom was right next to me, moving her hooves to a catchy beat. The music was loud and kinda wild. It was perfect. I had to take Jazz sometime. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were talking to a stallion and a mare. I walked over. I was cautious because I knew Applejack and Big Mac and Rarity would disapprove of their sisters here in the first place.he doing here?Princess Maxii!?" we all near-shouted. She winced. Doctor chuckled nervously.you . YOU. Hey, all you readers out there!"
I was back at the Inn with Jasmine and she seemed pretty out of it. I told her about the mare's odd behavior and what she said but she only replied with, "But honey, don't you know Princess Maxii?"are Jasmine's parents?', and I'm wondering the same thing."
I woke up with the strangest feeling that I was being watched. I yawned and opened my eyes. I shrieked... ahem... I mean, I yelled and fell off the bed. Jasmine giggled.isn't creepy and go back to sleep."love me!"
It was warm outside. Just perfect for hanging out with Fluttershy and Princess Luna. Jasmine created a little rain cloud above us for when the sun shined directly above us.Danm she's on to us! So which one is it !?" I put a claw on Jasmine's shoulder.not want to be in labor in the middle of some long journey."
After a long chat with our friends, we came to a decision. We would head to the Crystal Empire after everyone finished their own respective businesses. To be honest, I was kind of relieved to see Twilight. She was reading all the books in the library as usual but it was still good to see her. I returned to the Inn with Jasmine and plopped down on the bed. She jumped onto it with me and pulled the covers over us.no sleep that night...

Jasmine looked kinda big. She was going to get bigger, I knew, but she was really big. She wasn't flying as much and she started complaining about her back and headaches. Her hind feet were almost always swollen and she was always hungry. I kinda felt guilty for getting her pregnant in the first place. I asked her if she felt some type of way towards me for it but she just smiled and said that she always wanted kids. I had no problem with that. Jasmine decided to stay home this day and I went out to hang with Twilight and Applejack. I met them in a clearing. Turns out, Rarity decided to come. Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Applebloom were talking to a stallion. He turned his head and nodded slightly. It was Wolf Grey. I waved. I saw three fillies running around and a mare calling after them. It was Eclipse LunarSol. She saw me and waved. I waved back. Shy Heart and Night Flower were sitting together on a bench and they smiled at me. Twilight, Applejack, and Rarity walked up to me.really big book. He had hair that was purple on one side and green on the other. He had a watch on his left for leg. He looked up and saw Twilight staring. He smiled. She blushed and looked away.
I turned to Twilight and smiled knowingly. Rarity squealed.
Basically, what happened was, Twilight walked over to the handsome stallion. He looked up as she approached and gave her a smile. "Uhm... I don't do this a lot but... what's your name?" "George Fleur Party." he said. She smiled. "That's a nice name. Do you ... ah ... throw parties? I have a friend who adores parties." "I like to have fun. I also like to read. Especially about Starswirl the Bearded." Twilight gasped. "YOU DO!?" she exclaimed. "Oh my gosh, I LOVE that book! I just love reading the spells he created! Which one of his studies are your favorites?" "Ah, his theories about time travel." "Wow. One of his more argumentative and infamous works." "Yes. I just love how intelligent you are." George Fleur Party sighed. Twilight blushed. "I bet you say that to all the girls." "Nope. Just you. You're the smartest mare I've met." "Excuse me. I've got to rub this in my friends' faces!" "Okay. Can I hang out with you sometime?" "Yes!"
Applejack, Rarity and I gave Twilight a look. She blushed and shrugged.
I crept around on all fours and narrowed my eyes. Tom and Mind Bender were right there, within my reach. Mind Bender glared at Tom a lot and spoke angrily and sarcastically while Tom ruffled his leathery wings nervously. I smiled and wished that I had gotten a camera with me. Evidence. They were up to no good. I knew it. Mind Bender said something then and Tom turned my way. He stared right at the bush I was hiding behind and sniffed. I stiffened. Ton took a few steps forward. I willed myself not to step back. He stared for a few more seconds before seeming satisfied and turning to the mare. Mind Bender sighed and the two left. I sighed and sneakily crept my way out of there. Then, I spread my wings and took off.
Jasmine was waiting for me with Pinkie, Twilight, and George Fluer Party. I landed and walked awkwardly up to them. Twilight smiled but Jasmine frowned.You have no idea, buddy. GG , was just telling me about some awesome place where something called 'TV' is used for entertainment."Jazz, I know you can't hear my thoughts but... I KNOW RIGHT!?
Twilight sighed and George chuckled. I decided to change the subject.do they have it?" Twilight asked.
Discord was not at the clearing when we arrived. We didn't expect him to be there, however, so it was all good. Jasmine simply cast a spell similar to something Twilight had done a few times before. Discord appeared before us on a cotton candy cloud. He seemed to be sleeping. He opened his eyes, yawned, and grinned.
Oh hello, dear humans. What's wrong? Didn't expect so much fourth wall breaking? Well, let me tell you, there's more where this came from!

Month#9: Eclipse and George

I walked down the already crowded roads of the village. I felt so happy that I was almost skipping to a song I'd gotten stuck in my head. A couple ponies were staring at me. I wondered why.
The walk to visit Twilight wasn't very long, seeing as she was located at the park in the fields that everyone had visited multiple times before. Eclipse was walking on my right and Rainbow was way above us. Realizing that Rainbow was not going to speak to us while in one of her flying 'spells', I decided to get to know Eclipse better.
We were there. And there was Twilight, sitting next to none other than George on a bench. I ran right up to her and gave her a hug. Eclipse and George said their greetings and Rainbow Dash hovered above them.IS A BIG DEAL!" she turned to Eclipse. "I AM ALWAYS LIKE THIS!"
Twilight leaned on George and sighed, "I've been thinking, guys. We should go right to the Crystal Empire as soon as we can."brother lives." I joked. Everypony giggled. Then, I stared at all of them sternly. "But seriously. I really don't want you to get pregnant with a prince older brother who was the former captain of the royal guard."
I woke up feeling rather sad for a couple of days. I had begun to realize that Wakonda had become somewhat of a home to me. I actually had a hard time imagining life outside the small village. The Crystal Empire was familiar, sure, but a few days there was nothing compared to the months living there. There really wasn't any reason to leave regarding friends for me. My girlfriend was there, my ever-so-motherly Twilight, our friends, our friends' friends, all the Wakondan friends we've made, and soon my little youngsters would be there too. I knew some ponies had already left for other places and some were heading in our direction but many were staying there in Wakonda as well. At least I knew George and Eclipse were coming.
While I wouldn't admit it to anypony, I really hoped Jasmine went into labor either before or on her due date (which escapes my mind at the moment. Don't judge.) for the sake of her sanity. She now spent her days on the bed rubbing her swollen stomach. She gave me dirty looks every time she had back pains or her feet were achy. I could feel her glad in the back of my head every time I looked away to get her some ice. She ate, slept, and glared at me while in pain.While I could make her laugh, there were times she was just so tired and achy that she would stare at the wall and ask for some tea from Zecora. It was on one of these days that I saw Eclipse walking down a road alone.
She had a stuffed saddlebag weighing down her back and a book floating in her magic. She was reading too intently to see me rush up beside her.
It wasn't too long before I finally reached Zecora's hut. Big Mac was pulling out weeds in the yard where some of her herbs grew. He dipped his head in greeting when I said hello. Zecora opened her door and met me halfway up the path.

Okay, I felt kinda weird writing about this stuff and I know some people will find it disturbing but I felt that it needed to be written for atmosphere. So, deal with it.

Month#11: Finally Here
I stayed close to Jasmine at all times. This was her last month being pregnant and she could give birth anytime. Well, not anytime, anytime, but you know what I mean. She was due this month. Her stomach was large and she didn't fly at all at this point. She had weekly visits to the doctor to check all sorts of things. They had to check her blood pressure, her stress levels, how dilated she was, and her heart/lung health. Every time she went, I worried that something might happen on the way there, while we were there, or on the way back to the Inn. We didn't have luck that bad so far but I wasn't taking any chances. Jasmine didn't seem to be too keen on me following her around. She was in pain and She smiled through all of it, though. I guess she liked the fact that I was so worried. After successfully packing our things away and getting things needed for the babies, our friends came over. Wolf Grey came with Fluttershy and Rarity. After them, Twilight, Eclipse LunarSol, and George came over. Every pony else was either doing errands or packing last minute things. We were not leaving right after Jasmine gave birth but every pony was eager to go.
Jasmine was sleeping peacefully on the bed while Rarity, Eclipse LunarSol, Fluttershy, Twilight, George, and I played Go Fish. Wolf Grey was staring out the window and occasionally sneaking glances at Fluttershy when he thought no pony was looking. He was certainly a mysterious pony. A mysterious pony with a possible crush on Flutterhsy.
Wolf Grey sat next to Fluttershy on the grass. She gave him a shy smile. He smiled back.comparing me to other guys?"
Twilight was having some romantic talk with George as well. She was laying on her stomach with George right next to her. She nuzzled him and sighed.kill you."you ." George wrapped a foreleg around Twilight but he shot me a worried look.
Rarity and Eclipse both ran out of the Inn and rushed over to me. I didn't even notice that they went back in. I was too busy being nosy. The two mares stopped in front of me.look okay?" she growled. I put my claws up.smart mouthing me!? I am in pain!"go faster. " she said with a menacing snarl.
Arriving at the hospital was probably the most traumatic experience. By then, the contractions were coming quickly and Jasmine was writhing in pain. I tried to sooth her but I ended up getting cursed at, clawed at, and given a death glare into my soul. One of the nurses came up to us, looked at Jasmine, looked at me, and smiled. She smiled . I am so serious!why !?"
Jasmine was laying in the hospital bed. The doctor was checking her vitals and the nurse was cooing at the babies. She was an odd one. I looked at all the little bundles of joy and sighed.
Every pony came inside the room and congratulated us. When I say every pony came, I mean every pony. Shy Heart, Night Flower, Applejack, Zecora, Big Mac, basically all our friends. They all were really stoked to help us come up with names. After some contemplation, we all managed to agree on six very nice ones.
My First Reaction
I wasn't prepared for it at all. I was just standing there with everypony else and wondering why in Celestia's name Jasmine was so shocked about the paper the doctor had given her. I automatically thought she was seriously sick.
Earlier that day, we had been walking (and flying a little) towards the nearest civilization. There was a war (Princess Luna said it was a bit of a stretch calling it a war) between Jasmine's dad and he rest of us. He was a crazy guy. He warped Princess Celestia's mind or something like that . She thought he loved her and she allowed him to go through with a plan to destroy the Elements of Harmony. He also wanted revenge on Jasmine for 'leaving him' because he had this wierd crush on her. She ended up liking this other guy named Josiah and-
"Really? Th-that's wonderful." I managed to say. I was surprised and a little nervous.I'm going to be a mom!"
Applejack walked alongside me. I noticed she wasn't wearing her signature stetson hat. She could've dropped it somewhere in the forest. She looked different without it. Applejack turned her head slightly and her green eyes met mine.
Jasmine giggled to herself and hovered right in front of our faces. I offered a smile. She returned it with a blow-kiss. The kiss actually transformed into a lip with little wings. It fluttered around my head. I caught it and patted it down on my chest.
My love grinned and pointed to a cow and he cow's calf. The cow happened to look up and see Jasmine pointing to her. She smiled and waved shyly. The calf waved too. He twirled his tail excitedly and hopped up and down.
It was late. I was looking through the window next to our bed while Jazz rested her head on my chest. It was a beautiful night. It was a full moon (as always) and here were lots of stars twinkling. Jazz groaned.you not sleeping?"

Almost two months of planning dates and making sure the two were getting along was all it took for Shy Heart and Night Flower to hit it off. As it turned out, Shy Heart was shy at first but opened up once she was introduced properly. Night Flower nearly had a nose bleed when Rarity (grudgingly) introduced him to her.You're Shy Heart?" he asked. Shy Heart nodded. "You're much prettier than I had imagined!" Shy blushed.
The two seemed to be off to a good start. We left them to fend for themselves. Jasmine seemed to start feeling those craving and begged for ice-cream. I squinted my eyes and wrinkled my nose.Celestial guard."
Jasmine and I walked away from the crowded marketplace while keeping an eye open. We hadn't seen Mind Bender or Tom in a while but it was always good to cautious. We had not idea what they had planned. I looked at Jasmine after hearing a whine. Jasmine was poking her slightly pudgy belly.
I was bored with a capital B. Jasmine was pigging out with Rarity and talking about whatever mares talk about while I was staring at clouds. I got up and decided to go for a walk. There were a few trees splayed about and a couple of flowers here and there. I was even blessed with a rare sight. A pegasus sleeping in a tree. They normally slept in clouds. Or at least, in Ponyville they did. Feeling like a jerk, I decided to start a very unwanted conversation. I ran up to the tree and bucked it as hard as I could. The tree shook and out fell Mr. Pegasus!friendly dragon." Grey glanced at me. "Just so you know."

I picked up the last Delilah of the bunch and intertwined it with the velvety, black waves of Jasmine's beautiful hair. She sat almost perfectly still with her eyes closed. Her lips were delicately pulled upwards into a smile. I finished the braid and tugged her shoulder gently, making her turn slightly. I planted a love-filled kiss upon her muzzle and blushed. She blushed as well. Funny how all that we've been through, we still blushed at mere romantic things.
Eclipse, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack led the group through the forest. We would have to travel to the remains of Ponyville, through Ponyville, and reach the train station there. If the trains were not working when we arrived, we would have to trek to the Crystal Empire on hoof. We all were prepared for the trip. Everypony was willing to help each other out. The rest of our group consisted of George, Jasmine, the kids, Zecora, Big Mac, the CMC, the rest of the Elements, Shy Heart, Night Flower, Wolf Grey, and oddly enough, the strange nurse from the hospital. We all walked away from our temporary home that we'd only just begun to get used to. I glanced back for the last time before Wakonda was out of our view. I'd miss Wakonda.
