Chapters Love Songs and Butterflies
The blue sky seemed to rule the surroundings around Summer Flight Camp, alongside the sun's glamorous glow upon a mid morning atmosphere. The children were allowed to roam about the campus, laughing and playing they were.
There was one particular girl with long, skinny hooves which were decorated with a gentle yellow coat. Her pink mane covering her left eye as she held a checkerboard flag in her mouth, unsure about the event taking place.
Rainbow Dash had the nerve to challenge the two brutes harassing Fluttershy to a race, "A way of defending her honor" as Dashy sees it. As for Fluttershy, she honestly didn't know what to expect from this. But overall, she seemed like that about everything.
The three racers got into position while Fluttershy raises the flag upward, her eyes close with a since of prayerful guidance. Just in case she somehow plunders to her death.
Well, she almost did; The yellow coated filly had spun like a top and fell to her doom, causing her to tumble down below cloud level. Her shrieks echo across the sky as if her tiny life span had flashed before her eyes.
She fell not on the cold hard ground, but in a bundle of fluttering butterflies as they carried her with ease.
*
As she was surrounded by the presents of woodland creatures, Fluttershy heard a loud CRASH from one of the nearby trees. She gasps and runs as fast as her hooves could handle.
The young filly came to one of the tallest trees in the forest, just 50 steps outside the large glade. A white pegasus had it's head stuck
in the tree's brown, thick bark, struggling for release.
Fluttershy tried to tug the Pegasus free, yet it was useless. She thought for a moment;
"How could I get this poor filly out without ripping his head off?" She asked herself as that poor foal thrusts his four hooves against the tree, breaking free at last.
It was a colt! His entire head gorged in tree sap and a couple of pine needles. He stood up and tried to open his eyes, yet it seemed pointless. Not only was he forced to not see the world, but his mouth was sealed as well.
"Oh my" Fluttershy gasps and leads her patient to a small stream. She lays his head down on her lap, regardless of the colt's stickiness, and splashes water directly on it, rubbing it in.
Soon the sap was no more, and the colt's eyes could open. His hazel eyes memorized his rescuer, hearts were practically floating around her.
"Excuse me, miss? Are you ok?" He asked, still resting upon her warm lap. Fluttershy blinks, thus breaking those floating hearts in two. "Huh?.......oh yes, I'm fine." She smiles.
"Ok. Thanks for the clean up, you have no idea how many times I crash into stuff like that." He chuckles as he stands on his own four hooves. His black, silky mane now covered his left eye while he shakes off the water remaining from his face.
"Your welcome....uhh..." She stops and searches for his name.
"Name's Crashie." He smiles and reaches for a hoof shake. Fluttershy holds back, nervously poking at the ground.
"Umm...my name is Fluttershy" she whimpers.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
"Fluttershy" whispers again
"Ok, well....thanks again for the help. I owe you one." Crashie hugs Fluttershy and flies away, completely out of her sight.

"Ponyville." The white Pegasus said while he stepped of the train, adjusting his guitar strap.
The sun beamed down on him, he squinted. "The sun sure is brighter here." He claims as he puts on his sunglasses, walking into Main Street.
It was a peaceful 2:25 P.M, The air was calm and serene. Ponies walked the dirt streets, heading in and out of shops. He sighs in relief. "Perfect." He said. "Just what I needed to get away."
Crashie's stomach screamed. He realized something he hadn't had experienced in a long time - lunch time. He trotted over to The marketplace, hoping to grasp something worth his bits.
*
"That'll be 10 bits." The cherry seller said to a yellow, pink maned Pegasus. She put her head down and sighed. "I'm sorry sir, i don't have that much."
She reaches on her Saddlebag for the bits she does have, which was about 7. "Will this do?"
The cherry seller disagreed. "It's either 10 bits or nothing, kid. Sorry."
Fluttershy hangs her head down again as she turns the other way. "Ok, I'll just go then. It's nothing really." She starts to walk away.
"Hold up bud!" Crashie darts to the cherry stand. "You want 1 cherry for 10 bits!? That's a little outrageous don't you think?" He gets all up in the cherry seller's face, which practically had "guilty" written all over it.
"Hey there, uh, take it easy ok?" He responds in panic. "Tell you what; I'll lower the price to 1 bit. But only this once. We gotta deal?"
Crashie drops 1 bit on the stand and puts the cherry stem in his mouth. "Deal." He mutters with a smile. "Thank you for your understanding."
Fluttershy was just about to leave when Crashie called out. "Hey!"
She didn't even turn around until he put the cherry in her saddlebag. Her eyes widen. "Could it be?" She thought.
"I got you that cherry, hope he wasn't a bother to you." He smiled.
"Oh, umm, I'm fine now. Thank you." Fluttershy blushes a little, brushing her bangs out of her face.
"You look familiar. Have we...?" Fluttershy speaks up before Crashie could finish.
"You don't remember, do you?" She came closer, giggling.
"Uhh...no, I don't. All I remember was crashing into a tree and this yellow...." His eyes widen in amazement as he finished his sentence. "Pegasus helped me to remove all the sap."
Fluttershy nods in agreement with a smile. "Correct."
Crashie smiles at her reply. "So, what brings you here? If u don't mind me asking."
"Oh, I'm here to pick up a cherry for a special ice cream Sunday my bunny, Angel, wants."
"Looks like I just owed you back, then." He smirks.
Fluttershy blushes.
"Wait, you got a bunny?" He asked.
"Oh yes, I take care all the woodland creatures."
She gasps and puts on a big smile, floating 4 inches off the ground. "Do you want a pet?" She insists, as excited as a bear with honey.
Crashie seemed tempted, yet a little nervous. "Well, I mean, if it's not any...."
"Oh how wonderful! You two are going to be the best of friends I'm sure of it!" She exclaims as she tugs on his hoof, leading him in the direction of the cottage. Crashie blushes.
Love Songs and Butterflies
"Woah." Crashie exclaims, witnessing the parade of woodland animals huddling around him and Fluttershy.
"Choose any animal you like." She explains, smiling at him.
"Ok." Crashie looks all around him as the animals fenced him in, placing his guitar on the lush green grass. He was trying -no, Struggling- to make up his mind;
"Maybe the bird? No no no, the flying squirrel? No, one of the chickens? No! Ugh!"
*Facehoof*
Crashie's mind was loaded, he just couldn't decide! They all seemed so extraordinarily amazing, therefore how could HE choose?
Fluttershy witnessed this and came to his rescue. "How about this kitten? He's really affectionate, and he loves playing with yarn." She smiles as she held the ball of fuzz gently in her hooves, fluttering 3 inches off the ground.
Crashie examined closely at his big black eyes. He purred loudly at the sight of his new friend, "meow."
Crashie simply couldn't resist, his hazel eyes were practically hypnotized.
"I'll take him." He responded. Fluttershy gave him the feline. "Here you are Friskers."
"That's his name?" Crashie asked, stroking the cat's head.
"Yeah, it really fits him don't you think?"
Crashie nods with a smile. "Yeah. I really like it."
*
"You don't have anywhere to live?" She asked Crashie as they sat on her sofa, sipping cups of tea.
"Well, I mean, I just got here. I'm vacationing for a while. Is there, like, a hotel here or...?" He takes another sip of his tea.
"Oh, umm, not that I know of. But you could stay here if you want." She gives a blushing smile.
Crashie thinks about it for a moment, staring at his bashful friend. He then glanced around the cottage.
"Hmm, seems cozy." He thinks aloud and nods his head. "Ok. After all, I can't think of anywhere else." He shrugs his shoulders, taking another sip.
She nearly went into shock as she heard those very words, Fluttershy just wanted to hug the life out of him. She did hug him, but not as hard as she expected it to be.
Angel Bunny comes out of the kitchen, holding up Fluttershy's ice cream scoop and jumping up and down.
"Oh, ok Angel, I'm coming sweetie." She tells him, escaping the embrace she gave Crashie, who was now bashful.
While Fluttershy was in the kitchen with the bunny, Crashie decides to practice his guitar. So he stretches his right wing and places it on the neck, attaching the pick to his left hoof.

"Here you go Angel." Fluttershy serves her bunny friend. A powerful melody echoed across the kitchen, which catches her attention.
"Where is that coming from?" She asked herself as she heads into the direction of the living room.
"Crashie, is that you?" Fluttershy pops her head out of the arch. Her heart sank into a river of roses, the music was divine. So divine, in fact, that 4 birds came flying around him as he continued, thus composing a perfect atmosphere.
Fluttershy forced her head back into the kitchen, she gave a soft sigh as she looked to the window. "I don't know if I can hide my feelings for him any longer." She told herself. "He's just too perfect."
Love Songs and Butterflies
"It's all ready for you." Fluttershy calls softly from her bedroom, putting together the finishing touches.
"Okay!" the Pegasus responds as he trots into the room, smiling like a clown with a rubber chicken.
"Hey, I just wanted to thank you for helping me out like this."
"Oh, umm, no problem Crashie. We are friends after all." She moves aside to let him see the little area she set up for him, he was amazed;
It was large blowup bed, decorated with bright blue sheets and a black cover overlapping most of it. Friskers rested in the center of it, purring into dreamland. The pillow was the same color as the covering, but with a bright blue accent.
His acoustic guitar rested against her nightstand, all polished and shiny.
"Wow, you did all of this for me?"
"Yes, umm, i did. I hope it's not too much?" She replays with a Small face.
"No, no, not at all. It's perfect." He hugs her tight, as he had did 7 years earlier.
Fluttershy's only reaction was a soft "oh my" as she blushed uncontrollably, embracing the moment.
*
Crashie was awaken by his cell phone, vibrating under his pillow.
"Hello? Whoever's callin' me at 3 in the morning you better make it quick." He groaned.
"Hey Crash! Vinyl here. So, liking Ponyville so far?"
Crashie tried to talk quietly, in case he wouldn't wake the other Pegasus in the room. "Yeah, I'm really enjoying it."
"Cool!"she yells in excitement. "You staying at the inn?"
"No, not necessarily. I'm crashing at Fluttershy's place for right now." Crashie tries to move his mane out of his eye, but fails the first 3 tries.
"Oh, really? Her? Huh, never knew you were the quiet type." She chuckles over the receiver.
Crashie took a deep breath. "I know, me neither. But there's something about her that just makes me calm, you know? Almost like she's a the doctor and I'm the patient....."
"Woah woah woah!!" Vinyl exclaims, causing Crashie to almost go deaf in one ear. "You mean you love her!?" She sounded shocked and surprised.
Silence creeps on the other end only for 30 seconds. "Well, umm......" He stuttered rapidly. "You s-s-s-see, I, umm....."
"Okay, I just know you're hiding it." Her voices sounds as if she actually knows what's going through his head.
"Well, umm, you see. I.." He searched for an alternative, yet believable explanation. He was never good at defending himself, weather it be physically or verbally. He eventually gave up after Vinyl's reply to his unfinished statement;
"Anyways, I'm coming over there I guess. I'm hosting the first annual Hearts and Hooves day Bash there. Hope to see you there!"
With that being said, she hangs up.
Crashie closes his phone and secures it back under his pillow, letting out a sigh of relief. He lays down, facing the ceiling as his mind starts to wander. Friskers rested around his hoof as it outlined the feline's position.
His eyes turn to the mare above him, resting upon her bed with the smallest glimpse of her face. He smiles at this scene.
"The ones who love never let go, the ones who look up to you encourage you." He quoted in a whisper, now wishing she was awake to hear those very words.
Love Songs and Butterflies
Crashie was awaken by the morning light glowing in his eyes. He sits up and rubs his eyes open, looking around him and letting out a yawn.
He heard humming echoing from outside the room, he stood up on his own four hooves and peered through the window;
Fluttershy is seen tending to the birds and squirrels of the forest; harmonizing and giving out nuts and seeds. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, just as a morning should be.
The Pegasus turned away, seeking for the perfect approach as he held Friskers by his sides.
"Ok Friskers, how should I approach this?" He drops the cat on the blowup mattress while he thinks away.
"I could try a pick-up line." He suggests, deciding to give one a shot;
The white Pegasus takes a deep breath and says aloud; "Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?"
His attempt failed miserably, judging by the look Angel Bunny gave as he hopped into the room.
"What?" Crashie asked in a cracked voice. "What did you think?"
In response, Angel almost laughed his tail off. For the white rabbit knew that cheesy pickup lines never worked out.
"Should I try another one?" The colt gave it a little thought. "Then again, I might end up in a ditch." He puts his ears down in hopelessness, facing the floor.
"Ugh!" He grunts in frustration. "I'm never gonna be able to tell her."
Just then, Crashie hears a soft, shy voice from the window. "Tell me what?"
He yelps and widens his eyes, looking up at Fluttershy. She giggled a little.
"Oh, umm, nothing. Just..ugh..." He stuttered. "I was just wondering, you know, since Hearts and Hooves day is coming up...."
"Yes." Fluttershy stretched out the syllables as she blushed a little.
"Would you like to go with me to the Hearts and Hooves day bash? If you're not busy or anything, I mean...." Before Crashie could finish, He noticed Angel pushing Fluttershy out of the room, closing the door behind him.
Crashie perks his ears up as he tilts his head to the right with confusion. "Okay!" He exclaimed. "I'll just wait here I guess!"
Love Songs and Butterflies
"Yes Angel, I know how much you like me around." Fluttershy said in her sweet tone, standing in the hallway, just a yard away from the bedroom. Angel continued giving her an angry expression as he thumped his right foot, crossing his arms.
The yellow Pegasus gives a deep sigh. "I promise, nothing will come between me giving you attention. Not even a pony as amazing, gentle, kind, sound-minded...."
Angel thumped harder, which was a sign to simply shut up.
"Oh...umm...sorry." She felt embarrassed. "I guess I have more feelings for him then I thought." She chuckles a little. Angel put his eyebrows down once more, not finding her humor amusing as always.
*
Crashie paces about the bedroom. "Was I panicking? Did I come in too strong?" He gets up in Friskers' face as he said his last question out loud; "Where did I go wrong Frsks!? Where did I go wrong!!??"
The kitten's only response was a lick upon the Pegasus' cheek, along with a "meow" as he smiles.
Crashie smiles at his loyal pet. "I'm glad I have you buddy." He hugs the cat, his eyes facing Fluttershy as she stood outside the room.
"Oh, umm, hope I'm not interrupting anything. I could come back another.."
"Oh no, no no no! It's ok, come on in." He smiles as she turns to him, walking towards the white Pegasus.
Crashie drops the kitten on his blowup bed yet again, turning to the mare in front of him. The two were now looking into each other's eyes.
"So....do you wanna go?" Crashie asked, nervously picking at the floor.
"Umm.....yes."
Crashie practically jumped out of his white coat as he zipped around the room. "Yes! Yes! Wahoooo!"
Fluttershy's only reaction was giggling while she tried to capture his every zip and whoosh. "Way to go." She softly said.
Love Songs and Butterflies
The two pegasi were heading out the front door when Fluttershy saw Mr. Green Hooves overflowing her flowers yet again. She went over to address the problem;
"Excuse me, umm, Mr. Green Hooves. You seem to be watering my.."
"No no! They're fine I assure you. I am a professional after all." He replied as he continued with his so called 'professional' effort.
Crashie rolls his eyes at the gardener's reply and mutters, "I wonder how his wife feels about that. Makes you think about her gardening service. " Though nopony heard him, and the fact his corny joke was sucky, he chuckled anyway.
"Oh, umm...okay. I'll leave you to your job then." She slowly walks backwards with her ears flopping down.
"Hold up there Fluttershy! Where are YOU going?" Crashie stops her.
"Oh, umm, I just don't want to argue about it because....well...."
"You're a doormat aren't you?" He chuckles. Fluttershy nods with a worried expression.
"Well then..." He starts to trot towards Green Hooves when Fluttershy stops HIM this time.
"No, really Crashie. It's not a problem."
"But he's ruining your roses!" He exclaims, pointing to the dropping rose peddles as Green Hooves finally stops and looks at Fluttershy.
"There you go, another job well done."
Fluttershy sighs. "I guess." Crashie disagreed with the gardener.
"Look, maybe you are giving the flowers just a Little too much water. I mean, look at these roses!" He holds one in his hoof.
"Well, uhh, you see mister, I...."
Before he could finish, Crashie sprays him with the hose. Leaving the gardener soaked. Fluttershy giggles a little.
"Maybe that is enough water." Green Hooves replies. He then departs from the cottage.
"There we go, problem solved." He turns to Fluttershy, smiling about his accomplishment. Fluttershy's response was, "oh, you really didn't have to. I- I'm sure the flowers were..."
"No no, it's fine. The least I can do to repay you for your kindness."
"Oh....okay." She hides her blush, flipping her bangs forward.
Love Songs and Butterflies
The sun sinks under the horizon, as a hint of sun shone through the window of Fluttershy's bedroom. There was an overcast of relief going through the white
stallion's head as he lays on his blow-up bed, stroking Friskers' tail.
"Well boy, it's official." Crash looks at the furry feline. "Best first vacation day ever!"
The kitten just flicked his ears, purring as he rested by Crashie's side.
"I feel ya. Believe me."
Unable to take in the rest of this calm atmosphere, his phone, which was planted next to his guitar that still leaned on the nightstand, was vibrating like crazy. Crashie grabs it.
"Oh great.." He glances at the caller ID. "It's dad."
*
Meanwhile, Fluttershy was downstairs. She places three bowls of her homemade soup on the coffee table, smiling at her accomplishment. Angel was already ready to chow down.
Turning to the direction of the stairs, The mare exclaims, "Crashie! It's ready!" All she could hear was shouting, this caused her to investigate. Angel came along as well.
Opening the door, she witnessed as the stallion threw his phone across the room. Angel ran and caught it right before it hit the wall, setting it down gently on the floor beneath him.
"Um....Crashie?" She came to him, siting beside him as he let a tear shed across his cheek.
Looking down at the mattress, Crashie shut his eyes and let out a sigh. "What?" His voice cracked.
"A-are you ok?" She rests a hoof on his back.
"N-no." Crash shakes his head, sniffling.
Fluttershy lifts his chin up, having him face her. She then brushes his mane out of his eyes, giving a gentle smile. "You can tell me. Can't you?" She leans in with her lips puckered.
Angel, being as impatient as he could be, thumped loudly with a blank expression. Thus spoiling the moment.
She jumps up. "Oh umm....yes well umm.....dinner is ready." She whimpers.
Crashie just flies out the door, no response.
Fluttershy glances at Angel, "did you really have to do that?"
The bunny just nods and hops on her back. Fluttershy sighs and walks out as well.
Love Songs and Butterflies
Crashie and Fluttershy now sit on the couch with Angel between them., they blow the steam away from their bowls filled of tomato soup.
Night was close at hand. The sun, now closer into rest as it peeks out its tip, waits for the time being. Thus the last glimpse of a perfect sunset was reaching it's point.
Fluttershy looked out the window, and let out a sigh. Whenever something wasn't going right, just a simple sunset made her worries fade to gray. Though overtime, she longed for something more.
The mare then turned her attention towards Crashie, who had his IPod earphones in his ears. He stared at the floor, lost in his thoughts as always.
"Umm....Crash?" Fluttershy said began in the softest tone possible.
"Crash?" Again, no answer. Only the echo of instruments could be uttered through his ears. Fluttershy began yet again; "umm...Crashie?"
For Angel Bunny, being in the middle of all this was simply torture. On one side, complex screams and growls could be heard through the colt's earphones. On the other side was Fluttershy, repeating Crashie's name every 4 seconds. This gave the bunny at least two options.
He made a mental note:
(1) kick Crash's side to get Fluttershy's attention. (Tempting...)
(2) hop off into the kitchen and enjoy his meal there. (Hmm.....)
He ended up performing both tactics, leaving Tunez to a sudden shock. "Is Angel always like this?" He asked, finally removing his earbuds.
She nodded with a slight giggle. "Yes, he's nice and everything, he just tends to be a bit edgy at times." She drinks some soup and scoots a bit closer, as the white colt before her took a sip.
"This is really good!" He smiled at her, then quickly darted his attention to the delectable red liquid before him. Crashie Tunez, being the pony he is, gulps the rest of his soup, leaving a little dab on his upper lip. Fluttershy giggled and licked it off, thus making Crash blush bright red.
"Uhh....thank you..." Now Fluttershy blushes, ignoring the vibrating buzzer of Crashie's phone which rested upon the center of the coffee table.
Crashie, now hearing the vibration, turns his attention to the phone. "Sorry, gotta take this." He said, now rushing into the kitchen where Angel was. Though the colt had no clue he was still there, he answered the call anyways.
As for Fluttershy, she was left on the couch. She grunts and crosses her hooves. "Every time." She muttered under her breath, blowing her bangs out of her eyes.
"Hey Crash! Vi here! You'll never guess where I am right now!"
"Well where are you th-"
"BOO!" She pops up from the window, her shades rested upward.
Crashie yelped and fell backwards, followed by Angel's slight jump and quick reflex out of the kitchen and going into Fluttershy's embrace.
The white unicorn couldn't resist but to bash out into laughter. "You should have seen yourself jump!"
After about 2 minutes of laughing, she finally let's herself inside through the window, entering the kitchen walls. "You have NO idea what I had to do getting here...."
"Crashie? Who's that?" Fluttershy says across the house.
"Umm...just a second!"
He turns to vinyl, who is seen finishing Angel's soup. Crash frowns.
"What? I'm bucking hungry here."
Crashie simply couldn't believe Vinyl came to Ponyville 2 nights before the Hearts and Hooves Day Bash. So, as you can think, he was both excited and nervous (Nervoucited!). "Nothing." He said, sighing. "Come on. Fluttershy is waiting for me."
Love Songs and Butterflies
Fluttershy opened her eyes only to find Crashie Tunez on the opposite side of the bed. Vast into slumber he was, facing the mare whom he still held dear in his feathered embrace.
The yellow Pegasus gave a dreamily sigh, stroking the white colt's silky black mane. "You're amazing." She whispers in his ear, which twitched afterwards.
He blinks a couple times and stretches his limbs. "What?" He asked in a cracked voice. "A couple more hours..."
Sunlight began flashing in his eyes. Crashie groans at first, then fell off the bed. Fluttershy, still held captive, went down with him.
Fluttershy blows her bangs out of her face a couple times, then brushed his bangs away, smiling. "You ok?"
His eyes finally opened fully. He puts his hooves around her neck, blushing. "Yes....so uhh.....about today..."
"Yes?" Fluttershy leans closer to his muzzle, looking into his bright hazel eyes.
"I was thinking....it's only 1 more day until the Bash. Wanna do something special?"
"Umm.....perhaps a picnic would be...."
"Yeah ok." He smiles. "Need any help?"
"Uhh....ok?
"First we better get up, huh?" He licks her nose
Fluttershy quickly gets up and begins trotting out the room. "But I have to attend to the animals before we go.....or can we bring them along?"
"Bring 'em." He responds, running after her. Crashie pauses and turns to his blowup bed, where Vinyl had slept last night. She had left a note about an hour ago. Crashie reads it aloud:
"Went to the Hayburger, be back when I can."
Crashie wraps his guitar strap around his back, and picks up Friskers with two hooves. "Guess what? I've finally found my special somepony!" He then flies out the door with the cat in his hooves.
*
The late morning air was in full swing. Fluttershy and Crashie were sitting in the center of a large glade, the cloth was beneath them.
Woodland creatures gathered around the picnic. Bunnies with carrots, blue birds with seeds, and so on. Fluttershy and Crash sat on separate sides of the cloth, munching on Ham Sandwiches. Crashie propped his acoustic guitar upright with his right wing on the neck.
"Umm.....Crash?" She begins, swallowing the rest of her food. "When will you have to go back? Surely....umm.....your fans need you...." She goes and sits right next to him as he answers:
"I know....but I'd hate to let this all go. You helped me out so much since I arrived here..."
"You'll be able to attend the Bash though, right?"
Crashie nods. "Of course. Why else would I ask you? I think you're beautif-" He stutters on the word.
Fluttershy just hugs him tightly, easing his tension. Crash let's his guitar drop, Angel and a few other bunnies struggle to save the instrument, holding it up by the bottom.
Fluttershy let's go and leans her head on the colt's shoulder, closing her eyes. "Don't ever forget about me..." She looks up at him with dreamily eyes.
Before Crashie knew it, Fluttershy's lips pressed against his neck. "Because I'll always remember you." She whispered. Fluttershy kissed him again, moaning softly. "Play me another song~." She sighs, leaning on him again and resting a hoof on his chest.
The white colt just smiled as he looked down at her, putting a wing around her. "How about this instead?" He takes out his iPod, inserting one earbud in his ear, the other in Fluttershy's. She nodded, still snuggling him. "Mmhmmm~"

Chapter 13 (Hearts and Hoove a Day part 1)
Rarity nearly turned Fluttershy inside-out, having her try on one outfit after another.
"Umm, Rarity?" Fluttershy calls from the curtains of the dressing room. "Are you sure this is what a pony like him would like?"
"Of course darling, do come out." The unicorn replies with a swift motion of her hoof.
Fluttershy slowly descends from the curtains, her gentle smile appears to shine as bright as a star. She wore a long black dress, which was decorated with pink butterflies with diamonds stitched into the chest. Black eye shadow was the finishing touch. Fluttershy seemed uneasy.
"Uhh....can we, uh, maybe....?"
"Oh Heavens no!" Rarity exclaimed, she almost died of shock. "Why, you're going out with a musician! A rock musician! Surely he would adore your outfit more than you intend!"
Fluttershy rolls her eyes in spite of Rarity's view. For the Pegasus knew who she was spending her time with, as well as Crashie knew about her. "I'm sure he'll like me as myself."
"Well....perhaps I can make some changes." Rarity finally came to her senses.
KNOCK! KNOCK! The two ponies turned their eyes to the front door. "It's me! Scootaloo!" She called. Fluttershy went an opened the door, giving a graceful smile. "Oh, hello."
"Wa-hoo!" Scoots was amazed. "Diggin' the new look, Fluttershy. You off to a rock concert or something? If so, why? Only 30 more minutes until the Bash."
"Oh, umm, I am attending...." She replies, poking at the porch nervous.
"With who? Oh! Is he a famous rockstar!?" Scootaloo was jumping while fluttering her wings.
Fluttershy nods. "Oh yes, he's....." Sweetie Belle pops on top of her head. "Hey Scootaloo! You ready!?"
"Ready for what?" Rarity came to Fluttershy's side.
The two Crusaders shout, "CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS LOVE DOCTORS! Yay!" Scoots gaged a bit. She only agreed to do this because of the fact that they were spending the night surrounded by chocolate. Sweetie liked it because she was helping ponies find their special somepony by a special game she made up. But where was little Applebloom? Her job was to build their stand, she should have been done by now.
Just then, Applebloom catches up with them, carrying a heavy hammer in her mouth. This slowed her down. She drops it, panting. "All....done....ya'll."
"Great!" Sweetie Belle jumped off Fluttershy's head. "Let's go!" Her voice squeaked. The crusaders run off giggling.
"Rarity? About the dress...."
"Very well."

Meanwhile at the cottage, Spike has been chasing Angel around, trying to get the bunny to sleep. "Come on!" He mumbles into the wall after running into it. The dragon sets himself free and looks around for Angel, teasing him with a carrot. "You're not gonna get it unless you come here." He sing-songs.
Upstairs, Crashie is just getting out of the bath. Steam flows out as he opens the door, a teal towel wrapped around his waist. The colt could finally see himself in the mirror. He searches for a comb.
Angel hopped up the last stair, going for Flutteshy's bedroom as a safe haven. "Good, now he goes." Spike says with a sigh of relief, walking past the bathroom.
"So, Spike. Right?" Crash says, looking in the reflection while drying his mane and combing it. Spike peeks his head out the door. "Oh uhh.....yes." He chuckles, entering the bathroom. "And you're the pony who Fluttershy explained to me.....Crashie?" The snow white colt nods. "That's right."
All they were doing from that point was Smiling and blinking. Not a single thought of conversation came to their minds, just awkward --somewhat weird-- silence. Spike decides to ask a random yet reasonable question, in hopes of breaking the silence. "What you two gonna be doing tonight?" Crashie smirks at the purple dragon's question. "Let's...just say I'll make her night special."
"You make it sound so easy...."
"What do you mean?"
The dragon then climbs and stands on the counter. "Can you give me some advise? It's about something very important." Spike fiddles with his fingers nervously.
Crashie smiles at him, putting the comb down. "Sure thing. Why? What's the problem?" Spike looks down and sighs. "It's about Sweetie Belle. I can't help but have feelings for her, every time I see her I just get all...."
"Queazy?" The pony smirks. "Well then, I know how to fix this." He pauses to think.
"I got it!" Crash's thought bubble seemed to preform a backflip. "You like writing letters, right? That's what shy was telling me." Spike nods. "Well, I only do it whenever Twilight has a letter to send. Never really do any writings of my own..."
Just then, before any of them could keep the conversation going, Crashie quickly glances at the clock. "Only 5 minutes left!?" The pegasus runs down the stairs. "Sorry spike! Maybe some other time!?"
"But. This is the only time I can..."
"Just write how you feel! Works out for me just fine!" He rushes out the door.

Chapter 14 (Hearts and Hooves Day part 2)
Youtube Video
The Hearts and Hooves Day Bash was underway, and love seemed to rule the night. Ponies were either playing games at the stands, or shaking their tails off on the dance floor. And "shaking your tail off" was exactly what Vinyl Scratch was doing. There she was; up on the main stage, being the center of the music. Just as she predicted the night would turn out.
Fluttershy now had the perfect outfit, since Rarity's previous one was a bit too much. She still wore the black dress, however, the train had been cut to the end of her hind legs, as well as the glitter that was added to it. Fluttershy had agreed to still wore eye shadow, and had suggested to add purple eyeliner.
Crashie didn't want to go with a fancy look, he wanted to make her night special by being presented as the strapping stallion he really was....
or so he thinks.
After Fluttershy and Crashie met up at Sugarcube Corner, they walk out with a smile, giggling. "You're so funny." She said, walking beside her stallion. She couldn't help but giggle again when he replied.
"Hey, I save the best jokes for last. Oh! Ever hear the one about the Donkey and the Mule?"
She nods, then points out something that was about 10 yards away:
"A photo booth!" They shouted at the same time, their tails swaying. The two look at each other. "Did you just....?" AGAIN they speak at the same exact rate, this time they couldn't help but laugh. "Race ya!" Crashie says, dashing to the booth. Fluttershy followed, she won.
The curtains were then closed behind them after entering.
(Photo 1) they smile
(Photo 2) they make faces
(Photo 3) Crashie kisses her cheek, Fluttershy's eyes widen and blushes
After this, they continue on.
"Hey Fluttershy!" Applebloom calls from a short distance from the crusader's stand. "Come on! You'll be our first players!" The two Pegasi run to the stand, awaiting for Sweetie Belles instructions.
"Alright." She begins, standing on top of the wooden stand and placing two tin foil hats on their heads. "So, these hats are connected by a thick layer of string..." They look up and see it while she continues. "Which allows you to see into each other's heart. Metaphorically speaking of course."
Sweetie jumps down behind the stand and ducks down, thus pulling out two blank flash cards, popping her head up. She gives them each a card. "Write a nickname and pass it over. After that, read it to each other." They do so.
Fluttershy reads Crashie's first. "Butterfly." She giggles and smiles shyly. "Thank you.....read mine now. I think you'll like it." She hides her blush.
"Crashie kinz." He reads aloud. He smiles and pecks her cheek. "I don't just like it, I love it."
"Awwwwwwww" Sweetie Belle and Applebloom are touched by the moment. As for Scootaloo, she gagged while siting in the back, away from any outsider's view. "Give me a break."
"Really Scoots?" Sweetie Belle began, seeing her take another
Chocolate out of a heart box. "You do realize those are for the couples, right?"
"Yeah yeah, whatever. I'm sure there will still be plenty." NUM! Another chocolate entered her mouth. She could care less about this event. To her, it was just a waste of precious "flight training with Rainbow Dash" time. Sweetie Belle just rolled her eyes and grabbed a heart for Fluttershy and Crashie. "Here you are." She puts on her best smile.
Fluttershy takes it and looks at Crashie. "Do you think we can see if Rainbow Dash is around? I'm sure she'll be really happy to meet you." Just then, a blue coated Pegasus was flying towards Crashie, tackling him on accident.
"Opps..." Rainbow Dash chuckled, not even looking at him. "Sorry about that." She finally looked up at the male, her eyes widen with a gasp. "Oh my gosh! Are you who I think you are!? Crashie Tunez!?"
Crashie's eyes widen as well, but not by the fact Dash was knowing who she landed on. No sir. He was just shocked to have another pony on top of him. "Uhh...yes..." He uttered. Before the colt could say more, Rainbow Dash continues:
"It IS you!!" She hopped off. "I am, like, a HUGE fan! Names Rainbow Dash. You have no idea what an honor it is to meet you! Oh my gosh! I can't believe your here! You are right here!! You are my idol!...." She pauses for only a second. "After the Wonderbolts of course."
*squee*
All Crashie could do was stay silent with widened eyes, for he has never really met a fan so obsessive before. He didn't know what to expect from Rainbow's fan girling. Crashie Tunez got up and flipped his mane back. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Dash. But me and Fluttershy really must be going."
Fluttershy buts in, noticing Crash looks a bit uneasy. "He's right, Rainbow Dash. Oh! I think I see Spitfire over there." She points out nothing but air, knowing Rainbow Dash would fall for it. She did. The two ran away as fast as their legs would take them. If that were to be another race, Fluttershy would win. Crash and Fluttershy, gasping for breath, ended up in front of the stage. The crowd wasn't as big.
"Hey! Crash!" Vinyl raised her shades. "Sup man!? Glad you could make it!" She tried to yell over the music.
"Yeah! Same here!" Crashie then turns to Fluttershy and whispers something in her ear. She goes away from the stage to sit at a nearby bench.
Crashie jumps up to meet with his producer. He whispers something in her ear. Vinyl looks at him, smirking. "Feelin' for your lover huh!?" He nods with a smile as the unicorn stops the song currently playing.
She speaks into the mic with high spirits. "Aalllllight! This next one is sure to bring some spark in the air tonight. It is a special request from none other than Crashie Tunez!" The crowd then increased, cheering and stumping there hooves --especially Rainbow Dash, performing a perfect backflip in the middle of the pit afterwards--.

Crashie smiles and hops off the left side of the stage, escaping the crowd. The song plays in the background as he searches through the crowd for the bench. He spots Fluttershy and waves, motioning her to him. They are now face to face as the crowd moves around them.
"So uhh...." Crash chuckles. "Would you like to dance?"
"Umm....I can't dance." She looks away and hangs her head down. Crashie takes her hoof, turning her back around. He says softly, putting his muzzle to hers, "it's ok, I'll lead you."
Fluttershy blushes deeply and puts her hooves around his neck, gazing into his eyes as Crashie sways her side to side. They were in perfect movement with the music.
Crashie tries his best not to step on her hooves, this was also his first time. Usually, when he was little, his mother would be the dance partner. His mother was taller than him at the time, no doubt. So about 7 years later to this very moment, he looks back and thinks, "wow, this is a little harder than I'd expected." Still, he was pulling it off pretty well.
He twirls her around one time, and wraps his wings around her back. He licks her neck from behind. Fluttershy giggles and says softly, "you're really good at this." She cuddles up to his neck and rests the side of her head upon it, the colt gasps softly. They continue to sway slowly.
The two were unstoppable, it seemed as if nothing could drive them apart. The world revolved around their special moment, Mother Nature must have planned it that way.
Love Songs and Butterflies
Vinyl Scratch had called Crashie Tunez at 5:00 AM.
"What? I gotta head out now? But...but.....what about Fluttershy? Can't she..."
"Your manager has waited long enough already for your return. Now go! Now!"
"Oh..." His voice cracked and he sighs. "Ok, I'm on my way." He hangs up, a tear drips down his muzzle. Crashie gets off of Fluttershy's bed and glances at her. Every breathe, moan, and snore she uttered while she slept he caressed deeply within his heart. Just the thought of leaving her behind like this just hurt. It felt as if he had shoved a knife through his chest, as if everything he'd lived for was nothing without her.
Another tear sleds down his cheek. He then takes a piece of paper and a quill he found on Fluttershy's nightstand, beginning to write a letter to his special friend. He sits on the floor and uses his wing to lift the quill. Crashie writes with watery eyes, only a few tears dropped onto the paper.
The white Pegasus folds it up and sets it on his blowup bed, causing him to gaze back at Fluttershy, who is seen sitting up while rubbing her eyes. Trying his best not to have her notice him, he looks away and grabs his things: his acoustic guitar and Friskers. He was almost to the end of the open window when Fluttershy spoke.
"Crash? Please don't go..." Crashie looks back at the tearful mare who ran to him, followed by a tight embrace of her hooves. He drops his guitar and the cat to gently push her away. "I'm sorry but I HAVE to go. I know how much it hurts but..."
Fluttershy pushes him against the corner and cries in his chest. "D-don't go...I love you as much as I love my woodland animals...just...." Her voiced cracked as she continued crying.
Crashie didn't know what to say, he never knew he meant this much to ANYpony in his whole life. All he could think at that moment was conflict. Should he go? Is another dumb album release party worth the only pony who loved him for who he was? These very questions were rushing through his mind.
"I'll make sure to come back...I promise." He replies in a cracked tone, his wings covering the mare in a loving embrace. Crashie lifts Fluttershy's muzzle up and looks deep into her eyes, wiping away every tear. "Everything is gonna be ok."
Fluttershy sniffles and replies, "...ok." They kissed deeply. Their atmosphere was brightened by the action, as if they were truly meant to be. Deeply within each other's love circle, not letting anything come between them. "I love you Crashie Tunez, I've always have." She kisses him again, her hooves still interlocked on him.
Love Songs and Butterflies
Since that faithful day, both ponies haven't seen each other for about 7 years. They lived separate lives in different parts of Equestria;
Crashie takes Manehattan as a professional musician, skilled at both voice and guitar. Rocking his way into the big time.
Fluttershy lived in the small village of Ponyville, where she had made a home in a small cottage on the edge of the Everfree Forest. She was surrounded and loved by woodland creatures and amongst great friends.
They were so busy with their everyday lives, that not even the slightest thought of that faithful moment 7 years earlier came across their minds; the eye to eye contact, the hearts floating around, the tight embrace! None of that came to mind at all.
*
"You're insane!" Crashie's dad yelled over the phone. "You think you're okay right now!? You dropped out of Flight School! You ran away from what could've been your future! Now look at you. You're a wreck! You're a...." Crashie closed his cell phone quick, thus ending the argument.
Tears dripped down his face as he leaned on the wall of his apartment. The colt had had enough of his dad harassing him for being "a wreck".
Crashie decided to take a vacation from the everyday life in the big city; waking up super early, eating only what he had time for before he either hit the stage or recording a new single, and going to sleep really late, thus starting the pattern over again. It was getting pretty tiring.
He let his manager know about his plan, he agreed. "You better be back here by the end of Hearts and Hooves day, you got an album release party." His manager said.
He had no idea where he would go, but he knew anything would be better then another moment without a proper serving of toast in the morning! The midday sun hit Crashie's face as he grasps his acoustic guitar right hoofed, heading out the door.
*
He was now waiting at the train station, sitting down on one of the metal benches. Crashie's cell phone rang once more. It was Vinyl Scratch.
"Hey hey hey Crashie." She says. "I heard you were taking a vacation until the end of Hearts and Hooves day. Just wanted to let you in on a great place to start."
Crashie thinks aloud over the phone. "Well, I don't know where to go...."
"Oh, perfect then. Ok, so it's a small village called Ponyville; the nicest ponies you'll ever meet!"
"Ok, I'll give it a shot. Thanks. Hopefully it's where the train takes me." He hang up as the train stopped in it's tracks. Ponies came rushing out like wildfire, same as the ponies who entered the train.
"All Aboard for Ponyville!" The conductor yelled as the train began to rattle and whine.
Love Songs and Butterflies
"You're from Manehattin!?" Fluttershy's face lit up with excitement, while she sat cross-legged on her bed, right next to Crash.
He smirks, propping his acoustic guitar on his lap. "Yep."
"So.....why did you want a vacation?"
That very question she blurted out was the one that the colt would have never come to her mind, but he answered regardless;
"Well, for one reason......I needed to get away from the life I endured. Which to most ponies, seems to be a perfect one. But not having a decent meal once in 3 years really gets to ya..." He hangs his head low, sighing. "Not to mention I felt alone."
He wipes away a tear from his left eye, followed by a sniffle. Fluttershy, now seeing him in a different way, places a hoof on his hind leg and gives a little smile.
"I know how you feel." Her expression slowly changed into a worried one. "I mean, sure I have friends here in Ponyville, and I tend to all the woodland animals, but I still feel as if something is missing..."
Crashie snaps out of his moment of silence. His ears perk up and eyes widen, turning his muzzle to her. "You mean, like, a helper?"
"A special friend." She replies with a smirk, holding his face with both hooves, having him gaze into her beautiful, tealish blue eyes. Crashie's eyes widen even more, his face turned red with embarrassment.
For that moment, neither one spoke. The gaze they cast into each other's tender souls was the only sign of action. After about 30 seconds, Fluttershy let's go, blushing. "Oh umm....sorry Crashie...."
Tunez also turns away, still bright red in the cheeks. "No no....it's alright." Crashie then places his right wing on the guitar neck, positioning the his end feathers on a chord. "If you were wondering what I was doing all day, well.....I was working on something for you, Fluttershy...." He smiles at her. "Something very special from your special friend"
All Fluttershy could do was blush deeply. "Oh umm....thank you very much, Crashie."

At the end of it, Fluttershy hugged him tightly. She couldn't contain her excitement. "Oh crash. That was really lovely....." Her voice as smooth as sand. "I'm...umm.....happy that...umm....."
Crashie Licks her cheek, then responded, "I'm happy that we're going together too.....my Butterfly."
Crashie sets his guitar down on the floor, and wraps Fluttershy in his wings, embarrassing the moment.
