Chapter 7
Butterscotch skirts the sky over the small town. Many houses damaged from the recent Ursa Minor incident.
The town hall had ponies yelling and screaming about property damage and various misdemeanors. The stallion ignored all this, for none of it effected him the slightest.
Landing at his home, he spots the various animals eating away at their breakfast. Gilda, walking around with bowls in hand.
"Looks like you had everything in control," Butterscotch committed, watching his little friends scurry around her paws.
"I wish," Gilda said, Butterscotch notices the heavy bags around her eyes.
"You okay Gilda," the stallion asked moving closer to the distraught griffin.
Gilda leans against the wall, "if I knew an Ursa lived here...I'd have come."
"It's not so bad," Butterscotch pats her shoulder heading into the cottage, "From what I heard...it was only a minor."
Gilda grumbled something incoherent as she follows the pony into the kitchen.
"Anything new," The stallion asked, grabbing a glass of water, "besides the Minor incident."
Gilda plops her head on the table groaning, "well...Pinkie's back in town, and throwing a...and I quote 'We Survived an Ursa Attack Thanks to Twilight' party."
She rubs her head, groaning, "then dash crashed into those bird houses...had to try fixing them before the birds went all nanners."
The griffin starts to slam her head on the table, "couldn't even make one them...had angry birds screaming at me all day."
"Um...by chance," Butterscotch said, pointing to the basement door, "did you read the note I gave you?"
"Yes," Gilda shot back, glaring, "I couldn't even find it...had birds flying around me all day."
"I see...then why don't you get some rest," Butterscotch said, heading towards the basement door, "I'll fix up whatever Dash broke yesterday."
"Thanks," Gilda grumbled, falling asleep on the table.
The stallion heads down to the bowels of the house, his hand gripping on the rail. Reaching the Bottom he flips a switch, the sun crystals brightening the room.
"Let's see," He looks at the various boxes and chest, "Looks like she went through the decorations."
He moves them back in place heading further into the maze of boxes.
"There it is," He said finding the box labeled 'Bird House', opening the box he pilfered it's contents. Moving it back into it's place, he heads back upstairs.
"Ow!" He said, his hoof slamming into a downed package, "what's this."
Butterscotch places the bird houses to the side, picking up the box. He blows off the dust, examining the faded letters 'rose'. He opens the case, a red handled rapier greets his vision. It's basket hilt, etched with black vines.
A smile crested his muzzle, as he removes the blade from the old scabbard. It's silvery blue metal glinting in the dim morning light. He shakes his head returning the item into the pile of old memories.
He exits out the basement with houses in hand, spotting the sleeping griffin. The stallion places the houses onto the counter. He moves towards the griffin, carrying her to the her room.
The afternoon sun was long gone, as Gilda and Butterscotch head towards the candy themed store for the party. Mysterious invitations showed up on his table one addressed for each, inviting them to the festivities held at Sugercube Corner.
"Still," Gilda mumbled, looking at the odd red card, "how'd she sneak in."
"You don't want to know," Butterscotch said, remembering what his animal spies told him, "you'll stand a chance of staying sane if you do."
Gilda nods not knowing what he was going on about. She turns her attention towards the packed street, tables laden with food and drinks, had ponies crowding and talking around it.
"Um...Gilda," Butterscotch asked, his eyes staring at the floor, "do you...um...want to find the girls."
"Sure,' Gilda said, holding back her laughter, "Why don't we fly up and try spotting them."
Butterscotch nods, extending his wings and flying over the crowd. They circle the crowded street, only to land on the other end.
"Did you see any of them," Gilda asked, looking at the mass of multicolored ponies.
Butterscotch shakes his head, "Nope...want to hit the snack tables."
He points to a table not to far off, the crowd making a point to keep clear of the table. Gilda nods, following the pony.
They spot a grey mare hammering a mug of cider, and a unicorn mare patting her on the back.
"Hey!" Gilda said, walking up to the table, "These seats taken."
She points to two empty seats across the mares. The white unicorn shakes her head, "Go ahead."
She returns to her friend, Butterscotch and Gilda taking the two free seats. They each grab a slice of pie and start to eat. The grey mare, continued to sob on the table.
"Um...is she okay," Gilda asked, putting a piece of pie in her mouth.
The white unicorn stared at the griffin, her glasses hiding her conflicting emotions.
"Hic...who would be alright...hic...with having their house crushed," The grey mare stared up, her purple eyes hardly focusing on the two griffins. She plops her head back on the table.
"It's not that bad Octi," the white unicorn said, rubbing her black mane, "I mean...we are getting money to fix up our house."
"It's not the house...Vinyl," She shot back, turning her head to glare at the mare, "half our...my stuff is gone and the there's no hotel that would put us up for the night."
Her tears start to fall, and she wails into her arms. The white mare just pats her back, trying to give comfort for her friend.
"Um...I hate to um..." Butterscotch began.
"What!" Octi growled, staring at the pony.
"If you need a place to stay," Butterscotch, avoided eye contact with the mare, "Berry has some rooms for rent."
"Thanks," Vinyl said, turning her gaze towards the stallion, "But her place was damaged from the Ursa."
"I see," Butterscotch said, stabbing the pie repeatedly.
"Don't you know any ponies that will let you stay the night," Gilda asked, grabbing a slice of cake, "I mean there's got to be someone willing to lend you girls a room."
"You'd think so," Vinyl bit her lip, "But when you just moved here...well it's kinda hard to trust a couple of strangers."
Gilda nods in agreement, turning her gaze towards the stallion, "You know any other place they could stay?"
The stallion mulls it over, "Hmm...I'd suggest the Cakes...but Pinkie might be to much for you girls."
"Ouch," Gilda grimaced as the white mare raises an eyebrow.
"Other than that," Butterscotch thought it over, "Unless Berry opens up again...you girls might have to rough it or head to Canterlot."
"I'm not going back there!" Octi yelled slamming the table, then falling back on it.
The crowd took a quick look at the group seated at the table, then returned to the party.
"There. There Octavia," Vinyl cooed, petting her mane, "you don't have to go back if you don't want to."
Octavia sniffed, mumbling, "Thanks Vinyl."
Gilda elbows the pony, whispering, "Can't you help them."
Butterscotch thought it over and thinking of all the odd possibilities, he sighed. Turning to face the mares, "Look...if you girls need a place to stay...I have an extra room available."
He pauses letting his offer sink in, "if you girls don't mind animals...that is."
Octavia sits up looking to Vinyl, then plops on the table passing out from the cider. The Griffin blinks and reaches for the mug, sniffing it's contents.
She drew her head back, "What's in this?"
"Vodka mixed with cider," Vinyl sighed , checking her friend for damages. Seeing none she turns to the stallion, "I think we'll take your offer."
Butterscotch nods, pointing towards the drunken mare, "will she be alright."
The white mare shrugs, "Don't know...compared to yesterday...she's at least conscious."
"I see...so when do you what to head out," Butterscotch asked noticing the odd looks he got from the crowd.
"Unless one of you can help me with her...then I can levitate the rest of our stuff."
Gilda stands up, piggybacking the grey mare, "I'll take her...why don't you help her with their stuff."
"Um...sure," Butterscotch stands up, and looks to the white mare, "so where's your stuff at."
"Should still be at the house...or what's left of it." The mare heads towards the other side of town as Gilda takes the mare towards the stallion's cottage.
"So Vinyl," Butterscotch looks at the various equipment and turntable, "I don't know how to say this...but I don't have the room for this stuff."
"It's alright," Vinyl grinned, her magic flaring up, "I just need to get our cloths...this stuff'll be put in storage tomorrow."
"If you say so," Butterscotch grunted, with suit cases in each hand. He watches the mare levitate six cases.
She turns to the stallion, "Again...thanks for hosting us."
"It's no problem...but you might want to hold off on the thank's," The stallion said moving towards his home.
"Why's that?" Vinyl asked raising an eyebrow.
"I live near the Everfree," Butterscotch turns to see the mare nearly dropping the cases.
"Your kidding," Vinyl said, watching the stallion shake his head, "Well...buck."
"Sweet Celestia," The mare gasped, her electric blue mane drenched with sweat, "That was a long walk."
She turns to see the town barely in her vision, "Maybe Berry can get her place running."
"Hopefully," Butterscotch said walking up to the mare, "she's the only one that sells alcohol."
He grabs onto two more suite cases, carrying them into his home. The mare follows, albeit with less spring in her step.
They enter seeing a half naked griffin exiting the shower and a snoring mare.
"Took your sweet time," she said, plopping on the free chair, her breast hanging in the breeze.
The white mare stood wide eyed, staring at the half naked griffin and the calm stallion. Butterscotch looks at the slumbering mare, vomit covered her dress.
He turns to the white mare, "You might want to get her change...I'll get your room ready."
He starts to walk upstairs carrying her bags. The mare looks at the griffin, drying her feathery head.
"Are you two...together," She asked, wondering how she could present herself in such a manner.
"No," Gilda responded, rubbing her ear, "were just friends...with benefits."
"Your kidding," Vinyl said, removing her glasses to rub under her red eyes,
"Fraid not," Gilda yawned stretching in her perch, "but...you gotta keep this a secret."
"And why's that?"
Gilda stares into her eyes, "He doesn't want to get raped."
Vinyl blinks, processing what this griffin just said, "What?"
The three sat around the kitchen table, their plates empty and stained. The mare and griffin let out a loud burp.
Butterscotch stands, grabbing the empty plates, "I hope your friend get's better."
"She'll be fine," Vinyl said, ending with a burp.
"So what now," Gilda asked, looking out into the night sky, hearing the clanking of plates, "hey Scotch."
"Yeah," Butterscotch said, wiping food off the plate.
"Wanna do it tonight," Her words caused the stallion to nearly shatter the plates.
He turns around glaring at the griffin, "Gilda...I thought we talked about this."
"Relax," Vinyl cut in, "Gilda told me all about it...and I want in."
Her lustful smile, caused the water to hit the sink. The stallion looks on in complete shock.
"Y-your kidding," he finally said, over the running water, "we just met."
"So did we," Gilda smirked removing her tank top, "Besides...it's been awhile."
Butterscotch sighs, "Let me get the dishes finished...you sure your friend will be okay with this."
Vinyl shrugs her shoulders, "She's out for the night...besides."
She grins looking below his belt, "Your friend there...is looking pretty eager."
"Don't remind," Butterscotch grumbled, returning to the dishes. "Can't believe you told her."
"Like she wouldn't have found out," Gilda said, walking up to the pony, pulling him into a hug, "Besides...I might have a chance against you tonight."
"In your dreams," Butterscotch smirked, enjoying the comforting hug.
"We'll see," Gilda whispered, nuzzling the side of his head.
"Seriously...are you two together or not," Vinyl said, playing with her breast, "you two look so hot right now."
The two look at one another and shrug. The stallion finished off the dishes, the griffin's talons playing against his chest.
"Oh sweet Luna," Vinyl gasped, watching the pony remove his clothing, "Dude...why aren't you a model."
She drooled at his chiseled form, the griffin walks behind the mare, closing her mouth shut. She whispers into her ear, "your only seeing half the package."
The mare raises an eyebrow, only to have her eyes widen, "Oh Celestia."
Gilda chuckles. "Wait until his inside you."
"Uh-huh," Vinyl drooled, watching him reach into a drawer.
"What's that," Gilda asked noticing the odd bottle in his hands.
"Birth control potion," Butterscotch said, gulping down the foul liquid.
"Why would you...never mind," the griffin said noticing the musky smelling liquid dripping on the floor, "impatient much."
"It's been awhile," Vinyl shot back, as her nether continued dripping yellow liquid.
"Then I shouldn't let you wait," The stallion walks up to the mare, his lips connecting with hers. His hands squeezing her rump.
Gilda rolls her eyes grabbing a bottle of oil. She lathers her reptile like hands, to gently caress his member.
Braking the kiss, he stares at the griffin, smirking, "Cheater."
His hand moves to the griffin, rubbing against her button. The mare kneels down, licking his tip.
"Wow," She gasped, tasting the sweet oil, "your cock taste like cherries."
"It should," Gilda said, her wings erecting from his mouth suckling on her teat, "It's Cherry Oil...Mhmm."
The griffin moans from his sudden insertion, his fingers rubbing against her walls. The mare licks her lips, slowly engulfing his member.
Butterscotch flinches breaking his perch from the griffin's bosom, "teeth."
"Sooorghryy," Vinyl gurgled, sending shivers down the stallions spine only to have him winch from her teeth.
"Relax...Scotch," Gilda said, nuzzling the side of his neck, "you can fill her other mouth...but first."
Gilda taps the mares horn motioning her to move, "Lets all have fun."
She points to the bed, the mare raises an eyebrow a long stream of drool connecting her mouth to his member. Butterscotch smiles and shakes his head, moving towards the bed. He lays on the soft sheets, staring at the two.
Gilda whispers into the mare's ears, as she licks her lips from the news. They walk forward, Gilda taking the lead while the mare trailed behind.
They spread themselves over him, the griffin's crotch over his muzzle and the mare sliding his member against her slit.
"Your still not going to win," Butterscotch said, grabbing onto Gilda's waist.
"We'll seeee," Gilda moaned, as his tongue slid into her.
"I'm so loooving this," Vinyl moaned, inserting his tip into her, "Oh my Celestia."
The mare falls forward, the griffin catching hold of her. The mare lets loose a stream of liquid, soaking his crotch and the bed.
"Forgot you mares do that," Gilda gasped, from his tongue, "I hope you can get him o cum before I dooo."
Butterscotch mumbles a response, only to cause the griffin to wet his lips. The mare starts to move, slaps of wet flesh and groans echoed through the room.
"Aww," Vinyl screamed, letting loose another stream. She leans on Gilda, drooling on her feathery neck.
"Not even five minutes," Gilda mumbled, helping the mare off to the free side of the bed.
"My turn," Butterscotch said as the griffin moved from her perch.
Gilda sighed but smiled none the less, "you still think you can hold out...after that."
She points to the dreamy eyed mare, Butterscotch chuckles. He moves in, nuzzling the side of her neck, "Don't lop me in with normal ponies."
He whispers into her, "I can last much...longer."
Forcing the griffin on her back, he rubs himself against her moist slit, "Now...where were we."
Gilda licks her beak, "I'm still going to win this."
"We'll see," Butterscotch enters, the griffin squeezing against his entry. The stallion guides his hand, rubbing the sides of her waist to her firm mounds.
He starts to move, rubbing and squeezing her bosom. His rhythm was steady with his weight behind each thrust.
Gilda grips onto the sheets, poking holes in the process. She screams from the building pressure, "No fair!"
She lets loose a stream, mixing in with the mare's previous attempt. Butterscotch smirks, leaning into the griffin, "Told you...now for the real fun."
He moves faster careful to keep from slamming into her. His sac gently impacts her moist crack as a dreamy gaze formed on the griffin.
She squeezes and lets loose another stream of liquid. Her beak hanged open as her claws tear the sheets. Butterscotch follows after, spilling his seed. He plops on the griffin rubbing against her perky breast.
He feels a tap on his shoulder, turning he spots the blue haired mare. She smirks, "My turn."
The stallion chuckles, leaving the warm confines of the griffin. He stares at the mare, "Give me a couple of...or not."
She dove for his member, engulfing the sticky mass. The stallion winches, "Teeth."
"Sowrry," The mare gurgles, as blood flowed to his lower regions. She releases her hold, commenting, "That was quick."
She tries to dive back in, but a firm hand keeps her from moving forward. She stares into his eyes shivering from his glare. He pushes her down, whispering into her ear, "My turn."
He nips the sides of her neck, sending the mare into shivering joy. Licking the tips of his fingers, he rubs her horn, as he kissed her neck. His free hand trails down the side of the mare moving towards her moist crotch.
She moans from his touch, the bed was rewarded with another spray from the mare. The stallion leans in whispering, "Someone's enjoying themselves."
He moves closer, his member rubbing against her, "It's only fair I get my turn."
The stallion plunges in, her walls clenching around him. She moans from the sudden entrance, only to have it muffled by his own tongue.
They wrestled for dominance, Butterscotch feigning defeat. The mare inwardly smirks only to lose ground, from the sudden assault on both sides.
Feeling her folds tighten, Butterscotch joins the mare. Letting loose his own liquids, he lays on the mare feeling her heart beat in synch of his.
The mare stares into his teal eyes, a dreamy smile forms on her muzzle, "t-that was...amazing."
"Thanks," Butterscotch said, kissing the side of her neck. Her perky bosoms rubbing against his chest, "Hey Gilda."
"Yeah," The griffin mumbled, turning her golden orbs to his direction.
"How do you wanna share the bed tonight," Butterscotch asked slowly removing himself from the mare.
"How bout you in the middle." Gilda said, moving to the side.
The stallion shrugs laying next to the griffin, as she snuggles next to him.
The mare looks at the sleeping couple, "hey...um."
"Yeah," The stallion said staring at her with a single eye.
"C-can I join you guys?"
He looks towards the griffin, she shrugs a response. Butterscotch turns to the red eyed mare, "Sure...but you have to turn off the lights."
"Sweet," Vinyl said, snuggling on the other side of the stallion. Her horn glows a shade of blue, the lights turn off as the females shifted closer to the male.
In the darkness a tiny squeak was heard, but to the stallion it was a chain of curses.
"Fine fucking lee!" Angel Yelled, shifting the pillow from his face to the back of his head, "Some of us have things to do in the morning!"
"Angel honey," A brown bunny asked, shifting in the basket, "Why are you yelling?"
"Yeah," Another female bunny added, popping out of the sheets, "It's not like we haven't made more noise than them."
"Agreed," A black bunny mumbled, spooning against Angel.
"Just get some sleep," Angel groaned, as the other three piled on the white bunny.
The griffin, mare, and stallion exit the shower their coats soaked from the morning exercise and the cleansing waters.
"Wow...that's a big shower," Vinyl said, wiping down her electric blue mane, "Can't believe we all fit in there."
"Tell me bout," Gilda nodded in agreement, "Why do you need a shower like that anyways."
"I like my showers...okay," Butterscotch grumbled, shifting his towel, "did you girls have to use up all my Lilly oil."
He eyes their glistening coats, compared to his. He grumbles out his resentment, "It'll take me weeks to get another shipment."
The two giggle, only to stop in their tracks. Butterscotch does the same, peeking out from the tiny gap. He spots a slacked jawed mare standing atop the stairs, her purple eyes as wide as dinner plates.
"Hey Octi," Vinyl waved, her perky breast swinging in the breeze.
The mare coughs, staring at the near naked group, "Vinyl...why are you naked?"
Vinyl turns her head, her glasses nearly falling from their perch on her head, "I wouldn't take a shower with them on."
The grey mare 's eye twitched, "Again...why were you showering with her?"
She points at the white mare's companion. Vinyl looks at the griffin and stallion hidden behind them. She turns to the mare, "It's a big shower."
Octavia's eye twitched, "Vinyl..."
Her angered shout was caught off by the stallions own, "Angel!"
The three turn their attention to the stallion, as a white bunny pulls his towel off.
"Oh my!" The grey mare gasped, seeing the naked form of the pegasus. Red covered her face as she turns around running towards her room.
Butterscotch grabs his towel, Angel yelling, "Revenge," as he ran into a hole in the wall.
The stallion shakes his head, putting the towel back on, "Sorry about that."
"No problem," Vinyl said, staring at his crotch and licking her lips.
Gilda lays a hand on her shoulder, "Later...you might want to look after your friend first."
"Sure," the mare said, slowly making her way upstairs, but taking quick glances at the butter yellow stallion.
"I better get change before anything else happens," Butterscotch mumbled, making his way towards his room. The griffin continued to nod her head staring at his rear.
"Your friend going to be okay," Butterscotch whispered to the white mare.
Vinyl nods helping him carry the breakfast, "She still can't get the image of you out of her mind."
Butterscotch and Vinyl lay the food on the table. All four started eating their meal.
"So...what is it you do," The griffin asked, directing her question towards the unicorn.
"I'm a DJ," Vinyl said, puffing her chest with pride, "One of the best on this side of Equestria."
"Bold statement," Butterscotch smirked, cutting into his eggs.
"It should be," Vinyl said, pouring syrup on her pancakes, "After all...I highlighted most of Canterlots nightclubs."
"Even the Singing Harp," the stallion asked, popping a slice of pancakes into his mouth.
The unicorn blushes, "No...they're more into Beathooven and stuff...but Octavia here has played in it."
The grey mare blushes, slapping her friend in the arm, "Don't tell him that."
"Relax Octi," Vinyl chuckled, but rubbed her arm, "They're pretty cool."
"Wait," The stallion interjected, before the two went into a heated discussion, "hmm...where you playing with a pianist and harpist."
The mare blinks, "why...yes."
Butterscotch claps his hands together, "Now I know where I've seen you from...the Canterlot garden party."
Octavia blinks, wondering how this pony knew, "I'm not quite."
Then it hit her, "Oh my...you where that pony that punched out that stallion."
"Yup," Butterscotch chuckled, but quickly blushed, "can't believe you remember me from that."
"How could I not," She gasped, dropping her utensils to cup her mouth, "that pony was a noblempony for Celestia sake."
"You punched out a noblepony," Vinyl gasped, as Gilda sat slacked beck.
"Yeah," the stallion rubs the back of his head, "but he was harassing a friend of mine."
"You could have been sent to prison," Octavia said, looking around as if someone was going to get her, "or worse."
"Relax," the stallion said, returning to his meal, "I would've just spent a night in jail."
"But it was a noble," Octavia shot back, "Those ponies could make it so that you would never see the light of day."
"I highly doubt that," Butterscotch mumbled, looking at the mare, "I highly doubt that guy would try something like that."
"And how can you be so sure," The grey mare asked, staring into his eyes.
"Because," Butterscotch began, cutting slices out of his pancake, "If he even reported it...he'd have to explain why he was sexually harassing Fancy Pant's niece."
The two mare's gasped, at hearing the pony's name The Griffin raising an eyebrow at the two, she stares at the stallion asking, "Who's Fancy Pant's?"
"Butterscotch swallows his food, "Some pony on the top of the social ladder."
"Somepony," Octavia gasped, "Fancy pant's is the most influential pony in Canterlot...he even has a direct link to the Princess."
"Hm," Butterscotch mulls it over, "the first parts right but...I don't know about the direct link to the princess."
"There's just no way," the grey mare mumbled, looking back at the stallion, "There's just no way you could know Fancy Pant's."
"Believe what you want," the stallion said taking a sip from his drink, "you could ask him at the Valor street Festival...in a couple months."
The mare's looked on as the stallion finished off his breakfast. He stands to wash the dishes, exiting to do his chores.
"There's just no way," Octavia mumbled, watching the stallion feed the animals. "How can that pony know Fancy Pant's."
"I can hardly believe it Octi," Vinyl said, eating the rest of her pancakes, "but we might want to keep that to ourselves."
"And why would we do that?"
Vinyl stared at her friend, "Cause...we might end up sounding like some crazy ponies."
Octavia thinks it over, nodding to her friends words, "I agree with you...it would be odd to think a stallion such as him...would know such a pony."
"And what's that suppose to mean," Gilda asked, her feathers ruffling.
"It means," Vinyl cut in, noticing the anger of the griffin, "that the ponies that hang out with Fancy Pants...usually are either nobles or celebrities."
Gilda raises an eyebrow, then nods in understanding, "I get you...but I've been with the guy for a couple weeks now...and his not some normal pony."
"Tell me about it," Vinyl smiled, a dreamy look adorned her features, "that guy knows how to rut a mare."
"You got that right," Gilda joined the mare, forming a lewd smile.
Octavia sat there looking at the unicorn and griffin, "Did I miss something?"
Vinyl looks at the dumbfounded mare, a grin forms on her muzzle, "you missed a lot..."
A few days have passed since the two mares moved in. Butterscotch was out playing with the animals, and wondering why the grey mare would never meet his eyes.
Angel ended his thought process, "Hey Scotch!"
The stallion stares down at his little friend, "What is it little buddy?"
Angel points towards a mountain an odd orange figure flying around it. The stallion's eyes shrink, noticing the the giant reptilian figure.
"Dragon," He said, watching as smoke started to rise. The smoke filled the air, in erratic patters, "Oh no."
The stallion bolts for home, a white bunny stays back to decipher the repeated message. His beady eyes shrank, rushing after his master.
"Gilda you home," the stallion called out, as the griffin poked her head out from kitchen, "Good...can you look after the house for a couple of days."
"Suuure," Gilda answered, raising an eyebrow, "what's wrong?"
"Nothing much," The stallion said, rushing towards the basement, "An old friend of mine is out sick...and I have to look after his place for a bit."
"Okay," Gilda shrugged, used to his sudden departure, "Have a safe trip then."
She turns to continue her game with a certain squirrel and checkers.
Butterscotch exits the basement, with a case in hand. He makes his way to the door only to be stopped by Angel.
"You can't go out there!" Angel warned, grabbing hold of his leg, "It could be a trap."
Butterscotch smiles, kneeling down to pat the bunny. He whispers in his ears, "Relax Angel...I'm not going empty handed.'
He pats the case, the bunny still hesitant of letting go. He stares into his teal eyes, "You better comeback."
"You have my word," The stallion hugs the little rodent. Gilda was far to busy to notice the two, as the squirrel claimed two more of her pieces.
They break the contact as the stallion leaves the kitchen. He spreads his wings, launching into the air, heading towards the smoking mountain.
Butterscotch lands just at the base of the mountain, he stares up at the column of rising smoke.
"I really hope this isn't a trap," He mumbled, opening the case. There before him lay a set of light armor and rose. He begins to don the old gear, an enchanted silken long sleeved shirt covered his torso. The silken shirt was stronger than steel but lighter than a feather.
The metal grieves came next, hugging his legs. He mumbles a slight curse, "dammit...I should get this resized."
He grunts from the tight fit. With final pull it covers his waists, he launches a few kicks, "At least it's not going to hold me back."
He turns his gaze towards the smoking mountain. Holding onto the case and sword, he flies towards smoking mountain.
"Hello!" he yelled, standing in front of the mouth of the cave. He hides the sword within his wing, darting his eyes around the surrounding rock and brush.
A grumble echoed from the smoking cave, Butterscotches eyes shrank darting away from the opening. A gout of crimson fire, engulfed where he once stood.
The fire stopped as the smoke returned to life, the stallion sighs waiting for the ground to cool. He observes the cave, noting the cracking sides.
"This guys big," he mumbled, taking a better look at the paw prints, "definitely a big guy."
Butterscotch makes his way towards the entrance hugging against the walls. He pauses at the entrance, sighing in contempt, "I'm way to old for this."
He waits for a large cloud of smoke, and quickly rushes in with the cloud masking the light of the sun.
Using the stalagmites as cover, he makes his way to the center of the cave. He stops, watching the puffing dragon. It's reptilian eyes trained to the entrance of the cave.
The dragon pauses the smoke signals, sniffing the air. A grin forms on it's razor filled mouth, "I see your still alive."
It turns it's gaze towards the stallion location, "I won't burn you to ash if you come out."
"Your not the first to suggest that," Butterscotch said, flying atop the dragon his sword glinting from the little light it received, "Pray tell why shouldn't just lop your head off."
The dragon chuckles, laying it's head on the ground, "You wouldn't hurt a defenseless dragon...would you now Mr. Scotch."
Butterscotch's eyes widen noting the smirking drake, "D-Doka...is that you?"
"Who else would it be Mr. Scotch," Doka chuckled, as the stallion lands on it's mouth.
"You've...grown," Butterscotch gasped, remembering the once tiny dragon, "Don't tell me you've been hoarding."
The stallion furrows his brow, glaring into the dragon's golden orbs, "you know what happens to hoarding dragons."
"I know," Doka smiled, causing the stallion to almost lose his balance, "Sorry bout that...here let me fix that."
The dragon glowed a bright red, Butterscotch launches into the air watching the giant beast shrink. The stallion whistles, at the slender dragon before him, "Wow...you mastered your magic already."
"Of course," Doka said, walking up to the stallion her size clearly a head or two taller than the pony, "well almost."
She pulls the pony into a hug, "I missed you so much Mr. Scotch."
"Y-your crushing me," He gasped, as the dragon let go. A blush forming on her red cheeks.
"Sorry," she said, helping the pony up, "still in training."
"It's alright Doka," Butterscotch said, smiling at the young dragon, "Still can't believe how tall you've grown."
He looks over her scaly red form. The leathery bat wings could easily hide him in her folds, and her soft yellow under bely was smooth as silk.
"You've changed from the little knee high kid," Butterscotch chided, as her face grew a darker shade of red.
She lightly slaps the pony's shoulder, "Please stop...I'm almost a hundred."
The stallion smiles, reaching up to pat the dragon's shoulder, "Ah...and here I thought I'd get you some gem ice cream."
She licks her lips, her eyes widen, and she glares at the pony, "jerk."
She huffs, crossing her arms. Butterscotch shakes his head looking at the dragon, "So...exactly why are you here?"
Doka looks at the stallion, her frown turning into a dumbfounded expression, "Oh...I ah...oh yeah!"
She turns around running towards the back of the cave. Butterscotch watches, the dragon tearing through a pile of rubble. The dragon emerges with a chest, and hauling it towards the stallion.
"Took me a month to finally get this to you," She huffed, dropping the chest in front of the pony, "You have no idea how many places I had to stake out."
She opens the chest, a strange red cloth covering the object. Doka removes the cloth, a crystal ball laying in the chest, "you could have wrote...you know."
The stallion chuckles, "And if I did...I don't think this place would be safe...especially with little Doka..."
"Don't you dare," Doka hissed, smoke flaring from her nostrils, "I've had to deal with grandpa...and I don't think you'd survive being punched through a mountain."
Butterscotch holds his hands up in defense, "Alright no more baby talk...so what is that thing?"
He points to the strange orb, "What is...Oswald?"
Butterscotch stood wide eyed staring at the sleeping form of the old dragon. Doka stares at the sleeping dragon, she takes a deep breath, "Wake up old man!"
The green dragon steers from his slumber, nearly falling of his chair. He glares at Doka, only to have it soften as his gave found the stallion.
"Scotch!" The old drake laughs, his voice echoing in the room, "It's good to finally see your yellow butt."
"Same to you Oswald...but," the stallion said moving closer to the orb, "What exactly is this?"
Oswald laughs, "Curious as ever I see...it's a scrying orb."
"Scrying orb," Butterscotch looks over the orb, "But how can I hear you...much less how can you hear me?"
The old dragon continued to laugh, a smile cresting his scaly mouth, "That's a trade secret my dear boy...but you should know that better than anyone."
"Of course," Butterscotch nodded, Doka resting her head on top of his. The old drake's features changed to that of seriousness.
"But your not really interested in that," he sighed, looking at the stallion and his fondling grand drake, "I hate to do this to you...but Vera had another vision."
The stallion's eye twitched, as his mind screamed the implication, "No. No. No! Not again..." he inwardly groaned, keeping his stoic demeanor.
"Just like last time...something is coming," Oswald said, picking up a stick. He lights and inhaled from the other end, puffing rings of smoke into the air.
"You know," Butterscotch said rubbing the bridge of his nose, "I came here to retire...from all that stuff."
"You...retired," The old dragon chuckled, as his granddrake joined in, "Scotch the Adventurer...retired!"
The stallion glares at the ball, thinking, "I never had a choice on any of it...you vomit colored shit brain lizard!"
Their laughter echoed through the cave, Butterscotch sighed from their simple misunderstanding. He waits for the two as their laughter ended to mere snorts.
Oswald wiped a tear, a smile forming on his ancient muzzle, "You've changed Scotch...for the better in fact."
The stallion inwardly rolled his eyes, "Thanks...I guess. So about this vision."
"Ah yes...the vision," The dragon rummages in screen, he lifts a battered envelope removing and reading the letter, "Vera says that there will be some sort of catastrophic event will transpire...and it involves you."
Oswald skims the letter, blinking as he reached the end, "That's it."
Butterscotch raises an eyebrow, as Doka yells at the dragon, "You've got to be kidding me...I could just gave him the bloody letter than carry this around!"
She points to the chest housing the crystal ball, "You have no idea how hard it was to carry this thing around!"
Before any further curses could be spouted, Butterscotch cuts in, "Is that it...some event that I have no clue is what, where or how...will randomly happen...is there even a date on that thing."
The dragon looks over the letter, shaking his head, "Sorry lad...but that's all there is."
"Great," Butterscotch sighed, staring into the orb, "knowing Vera its going to be something big."
"Yup," Oswald nodded, ignoring the fuming dragoness, "but at least you know."
"Yeah...so what now?" the stallion asked, staring up into the ceiling.
"Now...I believe it's time for Doka to head home," Oswald yawned, scratching the side of his neck. "Oh...and Scotch."
Butterscotch turns his attention back to the ball, as Oswald continues, "Feel free to keep the ball...and other things."
"Wow thats genero...wait a minute," Butterscotch glares at the green dragon, "Your going to sell me stuff...aren't you."
"Hmm...maybe," Oswald smirks under the pony's accusing glare, "You were...are a valued customer."
"Great," The stallion face-palms, sighing, "It's Amber City all over again."
The green dragon shrugs his shoulders, "At least this time you can get ahold of me quicker."
"True," Butterscotch sighed, noticing the young drake fuming in the corner. He turns back towards the green dragon, "since your still here...can I get some Lilly oil shipped to the address in Manehatten."
The dragon grabs a quill jotting down the order, "anything else...oh valued customer."
"No...that's it for now," The stallion said, cracking his neck, "I'll...how do I use this thing again?"
"There's a manual under the orb," Doka grumbled, returning to the stallion's side, and glaring at the dragon in the crystal orb, "and other stuff too."
"Right," Butterscotch nodded, "So anyways...just send me the bill and I'll send some money into that account."
"Gotcha," Oswald smiled. jotting down the information, "and Scotch...it's good seeing you again."
"Back at you old timer," Butterscotch said, returning a smile of his own. The dragon faded as the orb returned to it's clear view.
The young dragon, envelopes the stallion into a hug, "It's good seeing you Scotchy."
"You to kiddo," the stallion said, returning the embrace.
Butterscotch watches the crimson scaled dragon fly east, towards the setting sun. His armor and weapon laid in the case along with the items gifted to him.
As the dragon melds with the dusk he sighs, "why does this always happen to me?"
Spreading his wings, he flies home.
