What if I told you that I thought about things like death, sadness, romance, comedy, tragedy, growth, wisdom, knowledge, plot, all of it-I wanted it to happen to me. Would you think I was crazy? Or do we think this too. That's what I often think about as I stroll along below the moons rays on my walks every night. "What do others think?" Once I thought that they were all reckless, sinful people, obsessed with lust, greed and revenge. It's what I've been told to believe. "The world is a cruel place Jason." But soon, I realized everyone has a life, a personality, a history, and a conscience. But I still wonder what the ones who are insane think. Terrorists, extremists, and the mentally insane. What do they think? Sometimes I wish I could go up to them and tell them that killing people is wrong, and incapacitate them if necessary. What if my world was like that? What if it wasn't just thoughts and nonexistent scenarios? What if I was within the hardship myself, other than the man I see when I... Does it even matter? Should I just give up something I expect is there, but is just a fantasy? Or is imagining good for me? I know it won't happen, but I want it to. But it never will.

Most of these imaginations aren't even from my world, more from others. Cartoons, anime, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, I see these things and I want to be like the people here. I want my own exciting story! Where's mine! Where's the insane plot twists, or wacky weird puns and ridiculous moments. Maybe, it's just too unreal. Or maybe, I haven't taken the time to find my own moments like that. Why can't I be like that. Just a kid, who goes to school, does his work, goes home, and does nothing. That's who I am. I don't look for adventure, I let it find me. You know what? Maybe it has started. Maybe I'm not looking at what's in front of me. Maybe I'm closing my eyes, waiting for someone to tap me on the back, so I can turn around, and see him/her. Like a hitchhiker by the road. The road doesn't go anywhere, I do. I know this now, but I refuse otherwise. I have friends, I have family, and I feel lost... somehow. Blinded, by something... I don't know what it is! But it's there! I may not know what it is, but I have an idea who. Me.

My name is Jason Quartz, and I'm waiting for nothing.

I stood there on the grassy plain, feeling the chill of the wind run through my hair. I felt the long grass crawl up my bare legs in the darkness. My eyes were closed to tighten the rest of my senses. I felt calm, and safe. More than I ever have in my entire life. I heard nothing but the semi-strong winds sailing past my body. I smelled cold air.

I opened my eyes, taking in the whole scene. Just a seemingly endless grass plain that perpetually swayed in the wind. I took a deep breath through my nose. I smelled the cold freshness of the air around me, it then engulfed my whole body, making me cold. I then looked to the moon in the night sky. It looked as if it glowed brighter tonight.

But something else was wrong. Something was off. It wasn't that I was alone at night in a grassy field, I always did this. Every night I came out here to wonder about my fantasies, to dream about what didn't exist. But I felt like I was imagining some sort of aura around me. If only I knew it was actually there.

The wind instantly picked up speed. I gasped and extended my arms and legs. I was preparing for something. Something that I thought that I was imagining was there.

In this one moment, something that I expected, yet I did expect at the same time entered my reality. We grant your wish, dreamer.

Then everything went black.
