Chapter 1: A New Begining
I have these dreams that seem like memories…
I have these memories that seem like dreams…
I see myself fighting alongside ponies…
What does it all mean?
Eight ponies laid beaten and bruised on the ground next to me as a large dark being loomed over us.
“This ends now!” I said slowly standing and looking up at the dark being, raising a large broadsword in front of me. “I won’t allow you to hurt these ponies any longer!”
“Your bravery is commendable but look at yourself.” The dark being said letting out a low evil laugh. “You can barely raise your sword let alone stand. You’re friends have fallen and you are alone. What chance do you think you have?”
“He’s not alone!” A voice said with a cough. I looked to my left to find a large dark blue Alicorn standing beside me.
“As long as he’s willing to fight then so are we.” A slightly larger white Alicorn said, standing at my right.
“So be it,” The dark being said before unleashing a wave of dark energy.
“ONII-CHAN!”
I woke up to the sound of my four year old sister Emma knocking on my door, calling me that stupid nickname.
“Onii-Chan, you need to get up or you’ll be late for your tournament.” she called from the hallway.
“Alright, alright, I’m up, I’m up.” I said sitting up in my bed. “I knew letting her watch all that anime was a bad idea.” I grumbled when I heard her footsteps echo down the hall. Rubbing the last of the sleep from my eyes I took a look around my room. A few trophies sat on a shelf above my computer across from my bed. My small collection of games and consoles sat in front of a small TV next to it with pop cans and chip bags from my late night gaming session still lying on the floor. “That the fifth time I’ve had these dreams this month. ” I thought to myself thinking back to my dream. “I really got to stop playing Kingdom Hearts right before I go to bed. ” Shaking my head clear of the dream, I began picking up the garbage from last night off the floor and put it in the trash. Once that was done I grabbed a pen from my computer desk and walked over to my calendar. “Today’s the day.” I said marking off yesterday and looking at today’s date which was circled and had the words “BIG TOURNAMENT” written on it.
After getting dressed and putting the sheets in the hamper I took a long look outside my window at the ocean as I took a deep breath. I then let it out slowly as I grabbed my stuff and went down stairs for breakfast, putting my stuff by the door.
“There you are,” My mom said as I sat down at the table. “I was beginning to think you fell back asleep.”
“Are you kidding?” I said pouring myself a glass orange juice. “How could I sleep in today?! You know how long I’ve been waiting for this day.”
“I know honey, but are you sure you want to go through with this? I’m mean I know you’ve been taking lessons and all but are you sure you’re ready for this?” she asked putting a plate with a stack of toast on the table.
“I’m sure mom,” I said taking one of the slices of toast. “This is something I just got to do. Besides,” I paused taking a bite of the toast. “You worry too much.”
“Onii-Chan’s right, you worry too much.” Emma said sitting in her chair.
“You're right but I’m a mom, I’m supposed to worry about my kids.” Mom said with a small laugh. “So, would you like a ride to town square?”
“No thanks. It’s not that far and it’s a beautiful day so I think I'll walk." I said finishing my breakfast.
“Alright but you better leave now then if you don’t want to be late.” she said as I got up and walked to the door. “Be safe and good luck at the Tournament.”
“I will and thanks.” I said as I checked my wooden sword over before putting it back in its sheath and strapping it to my back as well as my bag before making sure I had my lucky moon pendant and heading out the door and heading towards town square.
As I made my way through the small town, I was suddenly stopped when I head a noise from a nearby ally way.
“Who’s there?!” I called into the ally, griping the handle of my sword.
“A kid like you shouldn't be playing with such dangerous toys.” A hooded figure said stepping out of the shadows, his hood hiding his face.
“Hey, who are you calling a kid!” I said angrily, drawing my sword to which the figure laughed. “What’s so funny?” I asked griping the handle tighter.
“Brave but foolish.” The figure said before disappearing in the blink of an eye.
“Hey! Where did you go?!” I yelled looking around to no avail. “Weirdo,” I said to myself, sheathing my sword before continuing on my way. “Uh-oh!” I said looking at my watch and noticing that I was going to be late for the sign in if I didn’t hurry up. I started running as fast as I could, not noticing the hooded figure watching me from the roof of a nearby building.
Town Square had been blocked off to all street traffic and was all set for the Swordsmen Tournament. Street venders littered the streets selling different food and drinks to the many spectators that showed up. Several large tents were set up as waiting rooms for the competitors where they could prepare for and rest after each match. A large Stage had been set up where the judges would sit once the tournament began and where one of the towns’ local garage bands was currently keeping the crowd entertained. A raised platform sat in front of the stage to act as an arena with large bleachers surrounding it. I made my way over the registration desk to check in and find out what block I was in.
“Ok, sign here,” The man running the registration desk said, handing me a small form.
“What’s this?” I asked looking at it.
“Just a small release form saying that we aren't responsible for any injuries you may sustain during the competition.” He explained before I signed it. “Alight then,” The man said looking over the form. "You’re in Cell Block C in the Journeyman level competition. Here’s your confirmation badge, please proceed to tent 3C.” he said handing me my badge signifying I was a competing.
“Alright, thanks,” I said before making my way over to the tents.

Chapter 2; The Preliminary Rounds
“Here we are tent number 3C.” I said reading the small sign on the outside of the tent. However as I was about to enter the tent something suddenly caught my eye. When I turned to see what it was I saw a hooded figure entering one of the other tents. “Was that? ” I thought before dismissing it and walking into the tent.
The inside of the tent was full of other competitors all getting ready for the tournament to start. Some were taking a few practise swings and making sure their swords were in good condition while others were putting on light armour. Even though the rules forbid real swords wearing at least some form of armour was recommended to help prevent serious damage. I sat down on one of the benches and took out the armour I brought and began putting it on. It was relatively simple, just slightly modified old football shoulder and knee pads that I could wear under my cloths. After a few minutes a man in a referee uniform walked into the tent carrying a clip board and a small box followed by two men wheeling in a chalkboard that had the numbers one to sixteen on it, arranged into two tournament grids.
“Alright contestants listen up.” The referee said getting every one’s attention. “We will shortly be beginning the preliminary rounds. Before we start however I have been instructed to give you a quick rundown on the rules.” He said looking at his clip board. “Rule number one; No shots to the face or below the belt. Rule number two; Even though this tournament is open to all sword types and styles, all swords and shields must be either wooden or bamboo in the Beginner and Journeyman level competitions. Anyone at these levels caught using a real metal sword or shield will be disqualified. Rule number three; I shouldn't have to tell you this but killing your opponent is forbidden and you will be disqualified for doing so even if it’s accidental. If you break any of these rules you will be instantly disqualified.” The ref explained looking out at the small crowd of contestants. “The winner of each match will be the one to score four clean hits on his or her opponent within fifteen minutes or if your opponent gives up. If there is no clear winner with in the time limit then the winner will be decided by our judges. Only two competitors from each cell block will move on to the quarter-final rounds. Now please form a neat line and one at a time draw a number from this box to find out who you’re up agents. When you’re number is called please proceed to the raised platform in front of the stage so we can begin.”
As instructed we each pulled a slip of paper out of the box and cheeked where it was on the chalkboard. I drew number two so I had the honor of being in the first match for our block.
“When given time to rest, use it as an opportunity to reflect on your choices and focus on the task ahead. ” A women’s voice rang through my mind as I sat back down on the bench, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out.
“Wait a minute… all my Instructors were guys. ” I thought to myself. “Who told me that? ”
“Hey you!” A voice said brining me out of my thoughts. I looked up to see one of the contestants standing in front of me with a sly look on his face. “What Number did you draw?”
“Number two, what about you?” I said getting a good look at him. He was about 17, just taller than me with light skin and short blond hair. He was wearing armor similar to what I had but it looked newer and like it was designed specifically for sword fighting.
“Number two? Ha! Looks like you get to be my first victim because I got number one.” he said like it was joke. “And here I thought I would finally get some worthy competition entering this tournament. Oh well, see you in the ring.” he said before walking away.
“Well he’s overly confident. ” I thought to myself as I heard the crowd cheer loudly. “Sounds like they're ready to begin.” I said getting ready for when my Number was called.
After a few minutes the Ref called our numbers and I made my way to the raised platform.
“Alright everyone we will now begin the preliminary rounds for Cell Block C.” The Announcer said into a microphone. “Would the contestants please step into the ring?”
As we stepped into the ring from opposite sides I got my first look at my opponents’ weapon of choice; a wooden Chinese Dao Sword.
“Interesting choice of sword. ” I thought as I drew my own sword.
“It looks like our contentions are ready to go so let’s get this started!” The Announcer said. The crowd cheered as a bell rang and we began to circle each other.
“Those who are over confident in their skills tend to leave themselves open waiting for their opponents to attack them. The best strategy is to draw them in and have them attack first before countering. ” The same female voice from earlier said in my mind, as I noticed that he was indeed leaving himself open.
After a few moments my opponent grew tired of waiting for me to attack and lunged forward. I quickly dodged his attack and quickly slashed him across his chest, scoring the first.
“You'll pay for that.” he said angrily.
“Don't blame me. You’re the one who left yourself open.” I said as we began to circle each other again.
“A mistake I won't be making again.” He said gripping the handle of his sword tighter.
“Never grip you're sword either too tightly or lightly. If you grip it too tightly then it limits the mobility of your sword. Too lightly and the power behind your attack will be drastically reduced and your sword can be knocked out of your hand. ” The female voice once again spoke in my mind.
Taking the voices advice I swung my sword like l was going to do a diagonal slice before quickly changing direction, cutting across his ribs horizontally just under his arm when he tried to block. Before I had time to bring my sword back to defend myself however, he swung his sword diagonally hitting me on the on the shoulder blade.
“Ha, what do you think of that!” He said in triumph.
“Your form’s not bad. But how's your footwork?” I asked bringing my sword in front of me. “If I step here…” I said taking a step to the right swinging my sword. “Very good.” I said as he followed me, parrying my swings. “Now I step again.” This time as I stepped he swung his sword and I parried him. “See you’re learning. Shall we work on your form?” I asked as he backed up a bit.
“Shut up!” he said as we began fighting again.
“Parry, parry. Thrust, thrust. Good!” I said as we avoided each other’s attacks. “You left yourself open again.” I said scoring my third point.
“Enough of this!” he yelled becoming enraged. He then jumped back a bit before leaping into the air for a jump attack. I quickly brought my sword in front of me and parried the blow. Our swords stayed locked as we each tried to push the other back. “I’ve never lost!”
“Tisk. Such talent but you let it all go to waste with your over confidence.” I said as I knocked his sword out of his hands and scored the fourth and final point.
“That’s it Folks! Contestant number two has won the first match of cell block C and has moved on to the next round!” The Announcer said as I sheathed my sword.
“Here,” I said holding out my hand to help my opponent up, who had fallen over from pure shock.
“Thanks,” he said taking it.
“Now that’s Sportsmanship Ladies and Gentlemen!” The Announcer said as we shook hands. “That’s how all matches should end. Let us hope that the following matches are just as exiting and honourable!”

Chapter 3: Quarter-Final Failure
The rest of the preliminary rounds went by similarly with the voice giving me hints and tips on how to beat each of my opponents and I had made it to the Quarter-Final rounds.
“Onii-Chan!” My sister called walking into the tent followed by Mom.
“Over here.” I said walking up to them.
“You were great Onii-Chan.” Emma said hugging me.
“Thanks,” I said bending down returning the hug.
“She’s right,” Mom said as I stood back up. “I’ve never seen you fight like that.”
“I was just following my instincts.” I said not wanting to worry them about the voice in my head.
“Would the contestants who have qualified for the Quarter-Final rounds in the Journeyman level competition please make their way to tent number 3A now.” A man said over a loud speaker.
“I got to go.” I said looking at the loud speaker.
“Right, good luck.” She said giving me a hug before walking back to the stands.
As I walked into the tent I took note of the other contestants that made it to the Quarter-Finals who were either sitting on one of the benches, standing by themselves in a corner or walking around the tent. Sitting on one of the benches was a girl with dark blond hair who was about my age and was wearing armor that looked similar to that of Xena; Worrier Princess. At her side she had what looked like a wooden Roman Gladius Sword. On another bench was a boy about a year younger than me who wasn’t wearing any armor but had three wooden Katanas. Standing near the door was a large, muscular boy, who I guessed had a bit of gigantism. He was wearing similar armor to me and was holding a large wooden broadsword that looked like it was from Final Fantasy. Sitting in one of the corners at the back of the tent was a girl with burnet hair and was wearing midlevel chainmail armor and had what looked like wooden replicas of The Master Sword and Hylian Shield from The Legend of Zelda. Sitting next to her was a red head who was wearing similar armor but had wooden Dual Dao Swords. Walking around the front of the tent was the other Quarter-Finalist from my cell block, a boy with brown hair and wearing what looked like paint ball armor. He was holding a single wooden Katana and was giving it a few practise swings. Standing in the other corner at the back was the hooded figure from earlier.
“So I didn’t just imagine him. ” I thought as I began to walk towards him. Before I could get near him however the referee walked in and coughed to get our attention.
“Alright contestants listen up, first I would like to congratulate all of you for making it to the Quarter-Finals.” The ref said after making sure everyone was there. “Now just like in the preliminaries you will be given a number to determine which match you’re in and who you’re up against. The same rules apply but there will be no time limit for each match. The Match is over either when you score 4 clean hits on your opponent, your opponent gives up or when the judges say so. The Winner of this year’s competition will be given the title of expert swordsmen and be allowed to enter the expert level competition next year.” he explained putting a small box on a table. “Now, one at a time please draw your number from this box so we can begin.”
“I’d hate to be the one to fight the guy in the hood.” I heard the boy with the three Katanas say.
“Why’s that?” I asked as I drew my piece of paper.
“He finished all his matches in less than 2 minutes and afterwards all his opponents looked like they had seen death himself.” he explained, drawing his piece of paper.
I walked over to one of the benches and sat down to find out what number I had drawn this time. Looking at the paper I saw I drew number one, so once again I had the honor of fighting in the first match. Once everyone had drawn their numbers, the referee called my number and I walked out to the arena to fight not noticing who my opponent was until he was standing on the other end of the platform, his hood covering his face.
“Alright, ready? Fight!” The Announcer said into the mic as the crowd cheered.
Not taking any chances I quickly drew my sword in my left hand and ran up to him, trying to catch him off guard. However he saw it coming and, bringing a wooden scimitar out from under the left side of his cloak, parrying the blow before scoring his first point, cutting across my ribs.
“Always remember, right after your opponent strikes he usually has little to no defence so it’s best to counter attack before he has a chance to put one up. ” The female voice in my head instructed. Doing as instructed I quickly slashed at his stomach scoring my first point. However as he began to backed away he scored his second point, stabbing me in the chest. Had I not been wearing armor that would have most likely hurt.
“Not bad,” He said rubbing his stomach. “You’re the first one to ever land a hit on me. Of course that means I’m going to actually start trying.” He then charged forward bring his sword down in a wide arch. We met in the middle of the platform both of us scoring a point on the other. Him leading by one. Our swords clashed as we turned around at the same time.
“Don’t limit yourself to standard attacks, use the unorthodox! ” The Voice said when he started to block all my attacks. I then parried him before throwing my sword into the air and rolling behind him. I then grabbed my sword before it hit the ground and scored my third point, slashing him across the back, making us tied. “How often must I tell you? Control your opponents’ central line! ” The voice said as he tried to move away from me which I quickly blocked. “Faster, destroy his focus! ” It said as I speed up my attacks. “You're holding the sword too tightly... Now too lightly. ” The Voice said as my sword flew out of my hand and landed behind me. I quickly did a back flip before my opponent had time to deliver his final blow, and grabbed my sword.
“You’re really good at this.” I said as I got back up.
“Thank you; I've worked hard to become so.” The hooded figure said he parried one of my attacks.
“I admit it, you are better than I am.” I said with a smirk as he backed me into a corner.
“Then why are you smiling like that?” he asked.
“Because I know something you don't.” I said as he tried to push me over the edge.
“And what is that?” He asked as our swords met again.
“I am not left-handed.” I said as I pushed him back and moved my sword to my right hand, gaining an advantage.
“You are really good.” he said as I managed to keep pace with him.
“I ought to be, after three years.” I said as I backed him into a corner.
“Oh, there's something I ought to tell you.” My opponent said as he parried my attack.
“That being?” I asked.
“I'm not left-handed either.” he said pushing me back and moving his sword to his right hand as well. Then with two quick movements he knocked my sword out of my hands and pushed me onto my back. “Now, though I admire your skills as a swordsmen I’m afraid I have to kill you.” he said as he put his sword at the side of my neck and it magically turned from a wooden sword into a real one.
“What?!” I said in surprise. “Why? You’ll be disqualified!”
“Well you see some very powerful individuals see you as a threat so they sent me to kill you. It’s nothing personal just business.”
“Hold up ladies and Gentlemen, It looks like one of the contestants has a real sword!” The Announcer said in surprise as the crowd gasped.
“Onii-Chan!” I heard my little sister cry.
“That’s an instant disqualification! Would the Security Guards please escort him from the platform?” The Announcer said as two Security Guards stepped onto the platform.
“Stand back you fools!” The Hooded Figure said, as four throwing knives flew out of his sleeve and pinned the two Security Guards to a nearby wall. “Now for you.” He said as he raised his sword to kill me but stopped when he heard a noise.
“Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine,” A female voice chanted quietly before starting to get louder, like it was getting closer.
“Do you hear that?” He asked looking around slightly.
“Yeah, and sounds like it’s getting louder.” I said listening to it.
“Whatever, say good bye!” The hooded figure said as he began to swing his sword to talk my head off.
"Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine!” A rainbow haired girl wearing a cyan t-shirt and shorts said, flying down from the sky and kicking the hooded figure in the side of the head before the blade could touch me. “MINE!” she said standing over me. “You alright?” The rainbow haired girl asked.
“Uh, yeah I think so.” I said still in shock.
“You little bitch!” The hooded figure said standing back up. Suddenly everyone gasped as his hood fell from his head to reveal that of a Minotaur.
“WHAT THE HELL!” I yelled seeing that he wasn't human.
The Minotaur then tried to swing his sword at the rainbow haired girl but it was deflected by a purple energy ball.
“RAINBOW!” A girl with dark purple hair yelled as she and four others girls climbed onto the platform.
“He’s alright,” Rainbow said picking up my sword.
“What’s going on?!” I asked as the other girls helped me up. It was then that I noticed that the Rainbow haired girl had wings that matched the colour of her shirt.
“No time to explain! AJ!” The Rainbow haired girl said nodding to one of the girls who had her blond hair in a ponytail and was wearing a cowboy hat.
“Right!” The Cowgirl said with a southern accent. “Come on partner we got to get you out of here.”
“What?” I asked still not sure what was going on as I was pulled along by the group of girls.
“Not so fast!” The formerly hooded Minotaur said trying to block our escape.
“Hey you still got me to worry about!” Rainbow said whacking him on the head with my sword, buying us time to escape.
Equestrian Requiem; A Hero's Return
I was dragged through the town square like a rag doll before we finally stopped in an ally way.
“Alright, would someone mind telling me who you girls are and what the fuck is going on?!” I asked, pulling my arm out of the Cowgirls strong grip.
“Twi, you mind filling him in?” The Cowgirl said, sticking her head out of the alley to make sure we weren't followed.
“Alright,” The dark purpled haired girl with a lighter purple coloured shirt said, turning to face me. "Ok, my name is Twilight Sparkle. Now this might be hard to believe but me and my friends are here to protect you.”
“Protect me? From what?” I asked skeptically. “That bull headed guy? Because give me a real sword and shield to make it a far fight and I can take him myself.”
“It’s not just him you have to worry about. He may have brought-” Twilight said but was interrupted by low growl. “Uh oh!” She said as two of what looked like wolves made out of sticks with glowing green eyes stepped out of the shadows.
“What the fuck are those things?” I asked backing up.
“Timber Wolves!” The girl with long pink hair and wearing a yellow shirt with yellow wings sticking out of them said sacredly.
“Be careful. Timber Wolves tend to travel in-” The cow girl said as we slowly backed out of the ally only to hear more growling from behind us. “Packs.” She said as we turn around to find three more flacking us.
The girls formed a tight circle around me, the cow girl had her hands up ready to punch any of the wolves that dared get any closer. Twilight and another girl with violet hair and a white shirt hand their hands up but theirs were glowing. The girl with long pink hair was cowering inside the circle beside me. And a girl with out of control pink hear, wearing an equally pink shirt was holding a pink hand grenade.
“Pinkie, where did you get a hand grenade?” Twilight asked looking over at her friend.
“I don’t know.” The Pink haired girl said, which for some reason was good enough for the rest of them.
Before anyone could do anything one of the wooden wolves suddenly lunged forward.
“MITTSU NO TAIFU!” A male voice yelled right before the wolf burst into a pile of ticks.
“What the?” Twilight asked before noticing a boy holding two wooden Katanas in his hands and one in his mouth standing a few feet from where the timber wolf once stood.
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEYA!! ” A female voice yelled as a girl wearing Xena like armor flipped into the circle of wolves and cut one in half with a wooden Roman Gladius Sword.
“It’s not nice to gang up on people!” A large, muscular boy, with gigantism said destroying a wolf with a large wooden Final Fantasy esk broadsword.
“What the hay going on?” AJ asked.
“I’m still processing the Minotaur. I’m going to have to get back to you on this one.” I said looking around.
“Lower thine guard and thou'rt allowing the enemy in.” A girl with brunet hair wearing medieval chainmail armor said taking out one of the timber wolves with a wooden replica of The Master Sword.
“Oh give it a rest sis.” A red head wearing similar armor said taking out the last wolf with her dual wooden Dao Swords.
“Twilight!” The Rainbow haired girl from earlier said as she swooped down and landed in front of us.
“Onii-Chan!” I heard my sister call as she and my mom where lead over to the group by a boy with brown hair, paint ball armor and holding a single wooden Katana in front of him.
“Emma!” I said crouching down to give her a hug.
“What’s going on?” My mom asked.
“If I find out I’ll tell you.” I said shrugging.
“Rainbow!” Twilight said as her friend walked up to her.
“There has been a change of plan. We are going to need to take these guys with us.” Rainbow said looking at the piles of sticks.
“Why, what happened?” She asked.
“Well, though I hate to admit it, the Minotaur was tougher than I thought. He managed to knock me back and broke the sword before going after his mom and sister.” She said gesturing to my mom and sister. “Then these guys stepped in and help beat him back before he fled.”
“Well we can’t just level them here they could become targets again.” The girl with long pink hair and yellow shirt said looking over at me and my family.
“Hey you’re the other contestants from the tournament.” I said walking over to them well the strange girls discuses what to do next.
“Yep, the names Zorro, my parents where big Antonio Banderas fans.” The boy with the three wooden swords said rubbing the back of his head.
“I’m Jacob,” The large boy said extending his hand and resting his broadsword on his shoulder.
“Nice to meet you-Ah!” I said as he accidentally crushed my hand when he shook it.
“Sorry,” He said worriedly.
“It’s ok.” I said rubbing it.
“Anyway I’m Sara and this is my sister Kim.” The girl with brunet hair and wooden replicas of The Master Sword and Hylian Shield said introducing herself and her sister
“Whatever,” The red haired girl said crossing her arms.
“I’m Hayley,” The girl with dark blond hair and the Xena esk armor said.
“And I’m Ron.” The boy with the single Katana introducing said himself. “Do you have any idea what’s going on?”
“To be honest I think I’m being punk’d.” I said looking at him.
“That would explain a lot.” Sara said looking around.
“Then again we’re from Detroit, so we’ve see a lot weirder.” Zorro said shrugging.
“Looks like we have no choice. We'll have to take them with us now.” Twilight said suddenly.
“Right,” AJ said nodding. “Alright, y’all follow us now.” She said turning to face us.
Shrugging, we all began to follow the six strange girls back into the alleyway. After a few minutes we came to a dead end.
“Ok now what?” I asked looking at the wall. Twilight and the other girl with purple hair then did a Fullmetal Alchemist type ground pound and a rainbow archway appeared in the wall. “Da fuq?” I said looking at it.
“Sorry about this.” AJ said from behind me.
“About what?” I asked starting to turn around before being hit on the back of the head and falling into unconsciousness.

Chapter 5: Scattered Memories
“My name’s Twilight Sparkle. What’s yours?” A purple Unicorn said smiling before the scene dissolved changing into something else. “These are my friends Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash.” The Unicorn said gesturing to a group of five ponies.
“You can’t be serious Princess. We know nothing about him. He could be dangerous!” A white Unicorn with a blue mane said before the scene changed to a hall way. “If you do anything to hurt the Princesses, you can be sure I will strike you down without mercy.” The white Unicorn said with a glair.
“Remember a sword holds no power unless the one who holds it has courage.” A dark blue Alicorn said as a sword floated in the air as everything dissolved being replaced by a scene of a pony laying on the ground, a sword a few feet from him. “A true hero knows when to show mercy, even to his enemies.” The Alicorn said moving closer.
“You’re brave I’ll give you that. Most would have ran the second they saw me.” A strange creature that looked like someone got carried away with a chainsaw in a barn and then tried to put one of the animals back together using different parts. “You’re too late.” The creature said as everything changed and the creature was now on the ground in front of a large hole with dark light coming out of it. “Even if you kill me now, there is no stopping it.”
“It was said this sword was crafted by the gods themselves. May it bring you victory in the upcoming battle.” A white Alicorn said as a large broad sword was levitated out from under her wing. “We will never forget what you have done for us this day.” The Alicorn said as the vision changed to an all white world. “Your deeds shall be forever engraved in our hearts and memories.” She said as her horn began to glow.
I woke up in a white room with a massive headache. I rubbed the back of my head to find a huge lump. Sitting up I took a moment to try to remember how I got there, noting that my armor was now missing.
“Ok,” I thought to myself shaking my head clear. “I was at the tournament. Then my opponent tried to kill me. There was these weird girls. Then-” I was cut off from my thought when I heard footsteps coming toward the room.
“You’re telling me that this kid is they guy that saved the whole world?” I heard a voice say from behind the door.
“Yep, Had I not seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it myself.” Another voice said as the footsteps reached the door.
Thinking quickly I hid behind the door and a moment later the handle was enveloped in a blue aurora.
“Alright kid time to get up- Where'd he go?” One of the voice asked as the door opened.
Acting on instinct I quickly grabbed hold of the handle and in one quick motion slammed the door hard against whoever was on the other side.
“Captain Armor!” The other voice exclaimed as the first person fell to the ground.
Seeing his shadow in the doorway I quickly repeated the process knocking him out as well. Once I was sure the coast was clear I came out from behind the door to find two small horses that were wearing what looked like armor laying on the ground.
“The hell?” I said confused, examining them.
One was an orange Pegasus with a blue mane and the other was white Unicorn also with a blue mane. Hearing more footsteps approaching, I quickly stuffed the horses into the room. As I dragged the white Unicorn however, my mind was assaulted with images of him in a fighting stance with a sword floating in front of him. Shaking my head clear I closed the door and started walking in the opposite direction the footsteps where coming from.
“Where are you going?” A female voice suddenly asked from behind me. I quickly turned around only to find nobody there. “Over here!” The voice said this time coming from a door that was ajar.
I cautiously approached the door and slowly opened it. Once again the source of the voice was nowhere to be found but sitting in the corner of the small room was a wooden sword similar to my old one and my armor. I put my armor back on and slung the sword over my shoulder. With my stuff back I quickly peered out the door to make sure no one was there and continued down the hallway.
“Where are you going?” The Voice asked again as I ducked behind a pillar. “This way!” It said as I made my way up a winding staircase.
“He's over there!” I heard a male voice say from the bottom of the stairs.
“Let’s go!” The female voice urged as I started to run down the hallway. “What's your hurry?” It said as I slowed down a bit. “Over here!” The voice said as I spotted another doorway.
“Good Morning.” A new voice greeted as I walked through the door. “I’m glad you could join us.”
Turning to see who it was I saw the two Alicorns from my dreams sitting at a long table as well as my Mom, my little sister, Zorro, Jacob, Sara, Kim, Hailey, Ron and six small horses that bared a striking resembles the strange girls that saved me from the Minotaur.
“Hey Onii-Chan!” My little sister said through a mouth full of pancakes.
“Princess! The boy you asked us to guard-” The orange Pegasus from early began, bursting into the room from another door. “Is standing right there.” He said spotting me. “Well then I guess you won't be needing me.” The Pegasus said exiting the room sheepishly.
“Come sit down. We have a variety of breakfast foods.” The dark Alicorn said gesturing to an empty seat.
“Mom, why are there talking horses?” I asked backing up a bit.
“So he really doesn’t remember us.” The pink pony with an out of control pink mane said sadly.
“I was hoping that if I overlaid some of our own memories into his dreams he would begin to remember.” The dark Alicorn sighed.
“Wait a minute…” I said thinking back to my dream. “Your voice… You were the one guiding me here and giving me advice during the Swordsman Tournament. But how?” I asked.
“My sister and I have… special powers.” She said as her horn lit up. “Where are you going? Over here! This way!” She said but each time it seemed to come from a different point in the room.
“Please sit down and enjoy some breakfast. All your question will be answered in good time.” The white Alicorn said as I took a seat next to my mom.
Equestrian Requiem; A Hero's Return
“Is everything in place?” An evil male voice asked.
“Yes. It won’t be long now until our plans come to fruition,” A female voice that had a slight buzzing sound to it said.
“Good. Then everything is going according to plan.” The male voice said with an audible grin.
“What of the boy?” Another female voice asked. “He could prove quite bothersome if the ponies managed to get a hold of him.”
“The boy is of no concern to us,” The male voice said dismissively. “Celestia erased his memories before she sent him back to his world, so there is no way he would be able to stop us even if they sent for him. To be on the safe side however I’ve already sent someone to dispose of him.” he continued with an evil laugh.
A white Alicorn shot up in her bed turning her head towards her balcony. A few moments later there was a knock at her door.
“Come in,” she said getting out of bed.
“Sister did you sense that?” A slightly smaller dark blue Alicorn asked walking into the room.
“Yes I did Luna,” The older Alicorn said walking onto the balcony followed by her sister.
“What could it be Celestia?” Luna asked, looking at her sister.
“I don’t know but whatever it is we are going to need all the help we can get.” She said closing her eyes. “Tomorrow I’m sending Twilight and her friends into his world to retrieve him.
“But Celestia, what about your memory spell?” The smaller Alicorn asked.
“We can only hope that a small part of him still remembers.” Celestia said looking out at the night sky anxiously.
