Fluttershy had been humming her usual tune as she was in her yard, feeding her chickens. But her surface of cheer was feigned, she was upset Leo had stormed off with Spike to help Rarity; who he hates, to occupy is mind. He promised her he wouldn't be mad anymore but seeing Leo contain himself like that was almost as terrifying as it was letting it go. It was like trying not to cut the wrong wire on a bomb, problem is that all the wires are red. Just like Leo's hot Mexican/Aztec blood.

Lost in her thoughts her ears perked as she heard what sounded like hoofsteps, she turned to her house only to hear mumbled yells and her door being smashed open. Flinching from the sounds of her house being rummaged through her back door then swung open as she screamed meekly from seeing the guard captain and his group. They approached Fluttershy with little hesitation as Dawn led the group an angry look in hid eyed as he spoke.

"Where is he?" He demanded and answer.

"Who?" Fluttershy asked.

"The monster! Monkey! Human! Where is it! He's wanted for being a suspect in a recent murderer !" Dawn didn't even bother holding back, the fear of anger in hate in his eyes for Leo deep as the roots of a tree.

Fluttershy stood still as she was frozen from shock and fear, her mouth unable to move, what did this guard captain want? With Leo? From the look in his eyes it was nothing good, and the guards behind him they seemed just as tense.

"W-why?" She managed to force a single word.

"That THING is suspected of killing an innocent civilian and dismembering him! Hand over the beast now otherwise you will be taken in for harboring and not cooperating." He closed the gap as he got uncomfortably close to her, she was now pressed against her chicken's coop as her fowls peeked through watching and scared.

"B-but he's not a murderer!" She managed to muster a bit of courage to yell. Her anger taken the reigns as she pushed him back and got in an assertive stance. "I'm so sick and tired of ponies accusing him of such things! He saved Ms.Cake and her foals from death as he helped drive the bull worm away!" There was a look in her eyes as the guards stepped back from her, there was a strong pressure from just staring at her eyes to make these trained guard ponies meek.

Was it her legendary stare?

Dawn shook his head to try and snap out of the trance, regaining his composure, he knew about this, but he never seen it. Not even his mental military training was enough to hold from her infamous stare.

"We were given an expert's opinion that narrow it down to him." He said as he wiped the sweat from his head, dealing with the after effects of her stare.

"Who, what kind of a feather brain gave that conclusion?!" She demanded an answer.

A voice called out from the front, they all turned their attention, it was Twilight seeming like she ran a marathon, she panted deeply, relieved she finally caught up to the guards. To this Fluttershy's eyes widened in deep shock as her chest began to feel compressed and heavy, her legs trembling. Though it shouldn't have come as a shock, she still couldn't help but have this overflow of emotions inside her.

Twilight had made her way to her, finally catching her breath. "Fluttershy, let me explain--" She didn't even finish as her face was met with FLuttershy's hoof from a loud smack. The guards and even the captain filched at the sight. Some shocked as the element of kindness struck the element of friendship.

Twilight was in shock at this, as she found herself cheeks matted and wet, she was crying, she lifted her face to Fluttershy who was also tearing just as bad as her.

"How could you..." She whispered as the sound of betrayal was strong in her meek words.

"Fluttershy I--" She couldn't finish as Fluttershy interrupted her.

"WHY DO YOU HATE HIM SO MUCH TWILIGHT!!!" At that point all hell broke loose inside her. "WHY JUST WHY! HE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING BAD TO YOU UNWARRATED, HE'S BEEN TRYING SO HARD CAN'T YOU SEE THAT, HE GOT A JOB, HE'S WRITTING AN APOLOGY TO THE PUBLIC AND SAVED MS.CAKE AND PONYVILLE FROM THE WORM SO WHY?! WHY DO YOU KEEP FINDING NEW EXCUSES TO MAKE HIM SUFFER HE'S ALREADY BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH AND YOU STILL WON'T LEAVE HIM BE! DOES YOUR DESIRE FOR KNOWLDGE OUTWEIGH YOUR LOGIC AND COMPASSION!!! JUST STOP OKAY! I DON'T CARE HOW BAD YOU THINK YOU NEED TO KNOW ALL OF THIS, BUT JUST STOP AND LEAVE HIM ALOOOOONE!"

She cried harder and breathed heavily as her eyes stared right into Twilight's soul, that look, she's seen that look before. It was the look Leo had when he threatened to snap her horn, those eyes full of rage and hurt, she saw Leo in those eyes and tears. She didn't know why, why she wanted to know more about him, there was something inside her that drove her to know. But still...her logic was gone, and she saw this but even so, she still wants...HAS to know about him for the sake of her fellow ponies and country to protect after reading Leo's text book. But Fluttershy was right, what could she do to stop her unstoppable curiosity. The guard's and captain having no words for them as they stood staring in more shock then they were before.

A call from the front yard came as the other half of the guard arrived, and with the look on Trot's face there was news.

"What is it Trot?" Dawn asked.

"Sir we have reports from one of the ponies we questioned that the ape traveling along side Twilight's dragon! They were seen traveling with shovels to the rocky are south, east from here." He explained.

"South, east? But there's a lot of diamond dog activity there! Why would they go there at all?!" Dawn sounded baffled as he wanted to know the logic of why they would got here. The are was a danger zone.

Fluttershy's heart dropped at this, where Spike went Leo went. Rarity...she sent them to the..."No..." She said. "NO!!!" She screamed as she took off from the ground to the air. About to bolt.

"Stop her!" Dawn yelled.

Fluttershy was then caught in a pull from two unicorn guard ponies telepathy as she was pinned, forced to the ground. "What are you doing!? Let me go!!!" She shouted as she tried to break free, her wings unable to move.

"I'm sorry Fluttershy but you must stay here. Your sympathy for that ape outweighs your logic, we can't have you getting in the way of that." Dawn said as he tugged his band on his hoof that held his shield. Ready for action.

Her eyes wide as she started pleading with the captian. "No please don't do it! He's not the one you want! It's something else! Stop it!"

Her pleas fell dead to his ears as he shook his head. "How could you put a creature before the safety of your own kind?' He asked in thought as turned to his group of guards. "Alright listen up! We have a dangerous creature of an unknown caliber! This thing took out two timberwolves and Bronze Sword." He said the last part grimly as he closed his eyes, his anger for Leo rising by the second, his guards fidgeting and scared at what their captain told them. Some of them from how he alone took two high level monsters down on his own while the others pale white as they remembered the gruesome scene with Bronze Sword, thinking they're next. "We must bring justice to our fallen veteran! Avenge him and for his family!" He turned as he readied himself. "Now move out my guards! We do this to protect and serve the nation and her citizens! Forward!" He yelled as he ran taking lead, his guards behind him as the left Fluttershy pinned by two guards and Twilight.

Twilight's stomach turned, she felt sick from all this. Couldn't believe how the slip of the tongue caused all this as she saw Fluttershy screaming and pleading. The guards were gone as she gave up, dropping her head as it was now hurried in the grass. Her fears of the guards hurting Leo.

Or worse.

Back at the flat terrain Leo and spike had dig up a significant amount of gems after forty five minutes of hard work.

Leo sweated and painted as he reached for his pocket and pulled out his box of ciggartes, pulling a stick out before Spike walked over to him and lot it up. Leo stabbed his shovel on the fort as he leaned on it, inhaling the clouds into his lungs as Spike sat across from him on a boulder.

Spike had almost forgotten the strange behavior from before with Leo, but he still acted off. Every time Spike turned to face Leo he saw he was watching him before Leo quickly went back to work as though he wasn't looking. Spike knew this behavior, Leo wanted to tell him something. It was hard to ignore it, most likely what Leo wanted to talk about with Spike was not good. Still it might be best to get it out of the way.

"Leo."

"Mmm?"

"Is there something you wanted to talk about?" Spike asked looking over him.

"What makes you say that?" Leo said putting little effort in being nonchalant as he flicked a few ashes aside.

"You've been staring at me for quite sometime and I've lived around ponies who have kept their thoughts in but wanted to say something for quite sometime. So I'll ask again. Is there something you want to talk about?" He crossed his arms.

Leo stared casually, before closing his eyes, exhaling a cloud of smoke as he flicked the cigarette bud aside. "Alright then, I want to talk about you." He locked gazes with him

"Me?" He seemed confused.

"Yes, you and that 'yegua'; Rarity."

Spike tensed a bit at this, his body stiffed. He knew this was going to be that talk when Leo stayed at Twilight's for the first day. He pursed his lips as he sighed lightly and calmed his nerves. Deciding not to say anything but just listen.

"Spike I've seen the way you come to her at her beck an call, I've seen how she uses your feelings for her to manipulate and run you ragged doing heavy work that even I have done as a child for little compensation."

"Is this what you wanted to talk about? You know how I feel about her and you know how I feel when you talk about her." Spike said beginning to get a little angry. His temper rising. He did not like anyone bad mouthing Rarity, not even Leo. "Look I appreciate the "advice" you're trying to give but it's not needed. I know she doesn't see me as much now but if I dedicate myself to her then she'll see how much I really love her."

"So let me get this straight, you're content with being her little tool box as she uses you for petty errands, then hope that one of these unlikely days she'll come around and give you a chance?" Leo asked, wanting to hear from the dragon himself if this is in fact was what he really wanted.

Spike clicked his tongue as he clenched his fists, not liking this of him to try and drive him from his crush. He turned his head facing him, his green eyes digging to Leo's. "Just what is your problem with her!? Why do you hate her so much?!"

"Because she's a fucking user Spike! Yeah she might be the element of generosity but judging from what I've heard it's to ponies she doesn't know to have an appeal on her image, but when it comes to a naïve dragon she takes full advantage of that! Spike why won't you listen to me, I'm trying to help you here!"

"Your help isn't needed okay!? How and what I feel towards somepony is none of your bucking business Leo!" Leo flinched back at the swearing from the young dragon. "So why don't you shut the buck up and LEEEEAVE!!!!" Spike shouted, his breathing deep as his eyes glowed with much anger, a moment later he snapped out of his anger and gasped as he stepped back. 'I...I just yelled at Leo and told him to leave. W-what happened...?" Spike began to feel warm moisture on his cheeks, placing his hand on he saw that he was crying now. 'I...I'm crying? Why...? Is it because...I just told my friend off? Not just a friend...someone I could actually relate to...I just...shoved him away.' Spike tilted his head up to Leo, he wasn't angry, just shocked shocked that he had a blank expression.

Though that's what Spike saw he was terrified to see how he would react, Spike dared not to look away from him. Like him and a wild animal. Any sudden movements would trigger him he thought.

Not even a second Leo charged Spike, that was when he felt his heart skip a beat. Leo thrust his hand forward to Spike, sending him flying back. Spike grunted painfully as he tumbled back until he stopped. His eyes wide as he gasped for air the wind knocked out of him. He forced himself up despite the blow, lifting his head expecting to see Leo coming for him.

His eyes went wider as he saw something worse.

Leo was on the ground motionless as a pool of blood surrounded him. A spear in the left side of his stomach, and at the end of the spear was an armored diamond dog. Scrawny yet muscular with dreadlocks, how did he miss him? His yellow eyes on Leo with a toothy grin, his tan fur matted a bit with his blood.

"Leo...?" Spike whispered, reaching his hand out only to be stomped by a big dog foot. Turning his gaze up he saw it was another diamond dog, it was bigger and bulkier, a malevolent look in his purple eyes. A pair of hands grabbed on to Spikes neck from another dog, his appearance in between scrawny and bulky. He pinned Spike against a boulder as the other dog tied a rope around him in place.

"Look at this..." The dog with the dreadlocks came with a bag of jewels, the one Leo and him worked hard to dig. More dogs emerged from the fake boulders as they gathered around Spike. "We thank you little one, this is a very significant amount the two of you have found compared to our entire pack." He pressed his claw above his brow, underneath his scales. Blood beginning to drip down his eyes to his cheek. "Though despite the significant amount of gems you have found...we want more..." He yanked one of his scales off roughly, Spike screamed in pain, the feeling of it was as if he had his ear ripped off. The supposed leader picked his teeth with his scale as the pack laughed. "We are very hungry..." He said as he traced his claw down his underbelly.

This was it, Leo was dead and so was he because of this errand he asked Leo to help him run. That's when the thought slinked in, it was his fault Leo was dead. He wanted to be more efficient with his work so he brought Leo and now he was gone as the pool of blood spread more and more. He was right...he was her tool box. putting her over himself and his friend. Spike began to cry as he clenched his teeth, sobbing in front of the pack leader.

"Leo...I'm so sorry. Please forgive me..."

"It is okay young one." The pack leader said as he pulled out his rusty dagger. "I will do you a kindness and send you to your ape companion." The dagger got closer and closer as it was placed on his throat, the steel beginning to cut. Spike stared into the silver sky as he saw his life flash, Leo was right, the flash just showed how much he was her servant, not just her, everypony they all used him as their errand servant. Leo tried to show him that and it cost him just to save him. 'A waste of space...' Spike thought as he closed his eyes accepting his fate.

A sickening sound of flesh assaulted was sound, but it was not his. He gazed down as saw a look of horror and shock in the alpha's eyes. Blood on him and on Spike, there was a hole in the dog's chest a hand sticking out with his still beating heart. Spike stared in horror as so did the dogs. The leader let out a guttural breath before the hand pulled out with his heart, he fell limp before everyone. All eyes on the dead body, they turned to see the beast that had killed him. His entire front half soaked with blood. His blood.

It was Leo.

His hair wet, stained and drooping down covering his eyes. His hand on the beating heart as they dog's stared in horror. Spike saw something as he looked upon Leo, red with his own blood as the spear was gone, the hole bleeding. He then had a flash of a vision, he saw a burning fire behind him, his from different. His eyes glowing silver, his sweater now a black leather jacket, his body completely toned and perfect, yet marked with many scars. His arm armored and red with three spikes curved up, he saw something that caught his eye the most, a red gem shaped like a flam sunk into his chest as though it was apart of him. The thing that caught his attention from that was someone behind him. He stepped away from Leo revealing himself. Spike's was caught in a frozen state, as the flames around turned green, as the second figure revealed himself. It was another human with whit skin color, black armor pads on his arms chest and his chins, he held what seemed to be a white pole, at the top of it was a green flame shaped like a blade. The second, "human" with a purple shirt and black pants, his hair almost like a Mohawk, the color matching the eyes as they were both green like Spike's.

The flame died as the world was enveloped in darkness, all he could see was Leo's glowing silver eyes along with the glowing green eyes of Spike's counterpart.

He came back to reality , shaking his head from the vision. He wished he hadn't, at that moment he saw Leo standing over a pile of dead diamond dogs, his person now all red as he breath like an animal. Spike saw it, the thing that Twilight and the town folk feared, the thing that was rumored to taking out two Timberwolves. Though it was a victory, Spike did not see pride or glory from Leo, just a beast blind with untamed rage. Attacking that which attacked him.

He turned looking over to Spike. Spike froze as his sights where now on him. What scared him was that he couldn't see his eyes with his hair covering them. Was he going to kill him?

"Spike..."

Spike reeled a bit as he said his name, he was conscious in there.

"Leo? Leo is that you?" He forced his feared words out.

"Spike..." Leo called out again.

"HALT!!!" A voice shouted, both seeing it was the captain of the guard outpost with his troops. All stopped in place as they saw the massacre of bodies that led to the red human staring back at them with Twilight's dragon tied to the boulder and hurt, bleeding from his brow and neck a bit. Dawn, felt his hatred rise as he shouted his order to surround the human, spears and shields at the ready all around him.

Dawn, stepping into the circle of guards as he pulled his sword out pointed at Leo. He stared him down, the hate and rage Dawn felt for this creature that "killed" his friend. his magical grip tightened as he growled. "Disgusting creature! This is reckoning for Bronze!!!"

Leo only response was. "Who?"

Dawn's eyes shot up with livid hate as he roared charging at Leo with a vengeance.

"No stop it!!!" Spike yelled.

There then was a sickening sound of flesh being lacerated in the air, the grounds filled with the scent of death and blood.
