Prologue

“Fall of a Lunar Princess”

Princess Luna ^

Princess Luna Was asleep in her throne room in the Canterlot castle She was having a horrid nightmare about some wierd town deep in the everfree forest. SHe wanted to know the meaning of her horrid dreams, and her thoughts of a sister she's long since forgotten..A third princess? it didn’t seem possible to Luna.Then again, there was the tragic burning down of a town by the Castle when Luna became nightmare moon… SHe didn’t want to believe she did anything to her own kin worse than to celestia. Sending her to the sun was bad, but at least she was alive after it. Luna was scared, thinking she caused the death of her eldist Sister..If these memories were indeed real, Ponyville once had a princess..and SunnyTown… SOmething dreadful happened there..Luna had to know what- she left Canterlot, pulling her hood from nightmare night on, and flew to ponyville.

She met Zecora before entering the forest, “Go you must not….For you will get caught.the snares of the dead- will fill you with dread!” She said, closing the door of her hut. Luna looked shocked, but still continued deeper into the Everfree, following a small light blue filly with glowing yellow eyes. She soon came across the town from her dreams…..Luna knew she was flirting with death, and that was not a lie. She still however, had to know.

“Hello! Welcome to Sunnytown! I’m greyhoof, party planner extraordinaire.” said a grey pony, he seemed nice But Luna could sense an immense darkness around the Stallion, and began to look worried. Still, she pressed on wanting to speak to the princess, if there truley was one. Soon, a mare named ThreeLeaf told her where the princess’s Castle was. When Luna entered, she saw a mural of a Lavender Mane and pink bodied pony with green eyes that seemed to be a normal unicorn, but had celestia’s determined stance.

“You must be my sister Luna...how many moons has it been? 1000?” The mare asked, having descended from the balcony. “Anastasia….could it be? my Eldest sister?” Luna asked, tears in her eyes. “Yes..i’m still alive, Luna… I always will be!”the mare said, but indirectly mentioning something else indirectly with that statement. Luna knew, and felt ashamed. “I never meant to make the curse everlasting….” Luna said. “You can make it up to me luna…..by staying here. Forever.” Anastasia said, decaying before her eyes.

Luna looked frightened because here was her oldest sibling, her and Celestia’s Sister as a zombie! Luna turned to run from the castle, only to be greeted by the rest of the SunnyTown ponies, even Anastasia’s Fiance greyhoof as zombies as well. Luna knew there was no escape, so she wrote one final letter, The residents moved closer as did Anastasia, Luna was cornered.

“Dear Celly.. I’m sorry if i do not return from everfree….do not despair for me however, as it would hurt me even worse. I found our big sister by the way… you can at least be happy about that- that she’ll be with me! I’ll miss you, Celestia..”~Your Sibling, Princess Luna. ps:Don’t make the day last forever?” Luna sent the letter off, and prepared to stand her ground.

She was knocked down by Greyhoof, and Anastasia put her hoof on her shoulder. Luna felt the curse begin to take hold of her, and stood tall. *Farewell.Celestia* She thought, as the moon turned red for the night, alerting all of equestria of the Lunar princess’s fate. Twilight Sparkle had been watching the stars, and on the shift of the moon immidiatly called up the other elements to go see Celestia.

Applebloom meanwhile, had her own inner fear.She knew Luna had went into everfree, and Zecora told her not to go too far. She possibly followed Ruby foolishly and had not made it out of SunnyTown. Applebloom cried herself to sleep that night, “Ahm so sorry princess Luna! so dreadfully sorry!” The night was restless in equestria, for the first time since Luna rebelled 1000 years before.

Author's Note

Next time we will see how celestia is coping and just a warning, it is NOT pretty. So next time on Story Of The Blanks:New Nightmare, "THe SUn Without the Moon!"
