A Knock at The Door

Load Full Story

Pinkie pulled a photo album out if her entire shelf of photo albums. It was her most recent album. Sure, it was made a year ago, but she hadn't made any since. She had made this her 'Look through all 21 of my photo albums I have' day. She took such a long time to look through her 20 other albums, it
was 11:30 at night, and she had started at 8:30.

Her most recent album was named '21'. Her albums were named by years. She was 21. She started a new album each year of her life.

She looked through the album. The unicorn Twilight, Discord, wait, when did she take pictures with Discord around!? Oh well. Pinkie is Pinkie. She flipped to one if the near last pages. The first picture that caught her eye was a yellow, tall lanky stallion with poofy brown hair. His smile was nearly as big as Pinkie Pie's, who was beside him. It was a month and a half ago, when she had last seen him.

His gentle green eyes were filled with joy, as well as Pinkie's. He was like Pinkie's brother, he acted just like her. She smiled at the memory. She probably wouldn't see him ever again, at least, for a long time. She turned the page. It had a picture of them belly flopping into the fruit punch lake together.

She had loved the times they had together before he mozzied along. Her thought were inturruped by a loud rapid, and rather desperate, knock at the door. She looked up from the book with a questioning look.

Who could that be at this time of night? She thought, looking at the clock that hung on her wall. She bounced down the steps towards the door. She slowly opened the door, and she was surprized who she saw.

There stood, a tall figure in the dark. It's dark poofy mane was matted down. it's coat glincened with sweat in the moonlight, but it still trembled in the night air. It wore a bright yellow shirt. Pinkie had just than noticed how rainy and windy it was.

"Cheese Sandwich?" Pinkie finally said, her voice dripping with shock. He looked up with worry in his eyes. "What are you doing here in the middle of the night?!" Pinkie asked, her eyes still the size of dinner plates. His worried expression spread all over his face.

"Pinkie you have to help me!" He said in a raspy voice.

"Who? Wha?" Pinkie said. "Sure, but what in Equestria is wrong?!" Pinkie asked.

"I'll explain inside!" Cheese said. Pinkie stepped back to let Cheese in. As he came into the light, she noticed his shirt was somewhat shredded. She spotted a gash along the side of his stomach. He closed the door behind him and looked back at Pinkie.

She raised an eyebrow. "What the hay is going on?" Pinkie asked again.

He sighed and sat on his haunches.

"Well, earlier this night, I threw a bar party in Los Pegasus, aaaand, there were drinks. Ponies started getting drunk, so drunk that they started hurting me. One pony pulled on my shirt until it ripped bunch of times." Cheese explained. Pinkies eyes had managed to noticeably grow again.

"Then somepony came up behind me and stabbed me." He said as he turned so his injury was visible.

"Somepony must have used their magic to steal all my bits, because I have absolutely zero." Pinkie covered her mouth with her hoof.

"Woah..." She said.

"I came all this way because I had nopony else." Cheese said. Pinkie blushed at the fact that he came all this way for her. She looked away.

"Eh, well, there's no use for this shirt anymore, right?" She said, looking at the shredded shirt.

Cheese sighed. "Yeah, I guess." Pinkie nodded. She slowly peeled off the remains of his adorable shirt. Pinkie's blush deepend when she realized she was basically taking Cheese's clothes off. As soon as she got the shirt off, she peered at the gash near his flank. Pinkie thought her head might've imploded because she was blushing so hard.

She disappeared from the room and into her bathroom. She grabbed the first aid kit out from under the sink. When she looked back up, her eyes widened. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she could see her deep blush on her pink cheeks. She gave herself a questioning look. Why was she blushing so hard? She peeked out from the small room. Cheese was sitting and waiting for Pinkie to return.

She let out an awkward laugh as she entered the room. "I found my first aid kit!" She said. Cheese looked at her with his beautiful green eyes. Pinkie mouth hung open by about 2 inches. He smiled. "Let me just....." She stopped herself when she realized she'd have to clean the cut, which was chose to his flank. "....Clean the cut!" She said in an awkward tone.

He smiled again. "Okay!" He said. Pinkie slowly inched towards the injurie. It wasn't the fact that she was afraid of blood and cuts, it was that she was getting extremely close to somepony else's flank. She gulped as she brought an alcohol swab in contact with the side of Cheese's stomach. Her ears flattened as she stick out her tongue. After she was done cleaning it, she got out a roll of gauze. She started rolling the gauze around his stomach, over his back...... and exeptionly close to the inside of his thighs.

"There!" Pinkie said as she stood back and admired the work she had done. Cheese stood back up and smiled.

"Thanks, Pinkie. I don't know what I would've done without you." He said.

"Awe, it's nothing." Pinkie said as she blushed and twirled the end of her poofy mane with her hoof. As she looked back up to meet Cheese's gaze, he saw nothing like he ever had before. As she lifted her head, her frizzy mane bounced like a ball. Her sincere smile warmed his heart- and his cheeks- with something he had never felt before.

Her bright blue eyes dazzled with happiness as she fluttered her eyelids open. She offered a shy smile to him.

Sure it is! You practically saved my life!" He said.

"If you say so....." She trailed off. She looked at the ground, unable to meet his gaze again.

"Do you have anything to eat? I haven't eaten since the party, and I'm starving!" Pinkie's expression lifted.

"Yeah, sure!" She said, knowing it was an excuse to leave the room. "What would you like?" Pinkie asked. "Wanna cupcake?" She asked.

"Sure!" He said, holding back laughter.

"Ok! Be right back!" She said. She flicked her tail as she exited the room. A whiff of bubblegum entered Cheese's nose as her tail swished passed his snout.

"Heh heh, okay." Cheese said, too wrapped up in Pinkie's scent to put thought into his words.

Pinkie bounced down her steps and walked through the darkened kitchen. She opened the fridge and the light coming from it fludded the room. She squinted as she grabbed a cupcake.

She hopped back up the stairs and hoofed the cupcake to Cheese.

"Thanks!" He said before he bit into the cupcake. "It's good!" He said through the mouthful of cake.

"Thanks! I made it!" Pinkie said. They sat in an awkward silence as he finished his cupcake.

"Soooo..." He said as he swallowed the last bit of his treat. Pinkie looked up. Cheese felt the same feeling in his chest and cheeks as he did before. His heart hammered against his ribs and his his cheeks warmed.

Another silence filled the room.

"I guess you can stay here tonight." Pinkie said. Cheese nodded.

"Thanks." Pinkie looked around.

"I also only have one bed." Pinkie said. "You'll have to sleep in my bed with me."

Cheese blushed. "Uuuuuh, are you sure?" He asked.

"Yeah, there's really nowhere else for you to sleep, unless you want to sleep in one of the booths downstairs." Pinkie said.

"Okay." Cheese said. Pinkie nodded as she wiggled under the covers. Cheese did the same beside her. Their bodies did not fit well in one bed. Pinkie's bed was not meant for two ponies. Pinkie's poofy tail brushed against Cheese's legs, and his tail brushed against her flank. Pinkie shivered everytime his tail moved.

After what seemed like forever, the two fell into a deep sleep.

Cheese awoke in the middle of the night to something on top of him. He looked down to see Pinkie sprawled out almost fully laying on top of him. Her pink mane tickled his nose as he breathed in and out, making it move back and forth. All the while, the scent of bubblegum reached his nose again. He inhaled deeply and smiled.

He slowly tried to roll Pinkie off him, but failed when the sleeping pony woke up. She rolled off herself unknowingly. She yawned as she blinked her eyes until she was fully awake. She looked at Cheese.

"Oh, you're awake too?" Pinkie wearily asked.

"Yeah." He decided not to tell her that she had chosen his body to sleep on top of.

She stretched. "How long have you been awake?" Pinkie asked.

"Not long." He answered. She smiled her dazzling smile.

"Me neither." Cheese smirked.

"I know." Pinkie giggled. Her legs brushed against Cheese's as she shifted around. They were so close together he could feel her breath against his face. They shared body heat, and their tails tickled eachother. Pinkie yawned as her eyelids drooped, and soon she was asleep. Cheese felt his eyelids droop too, and he dozed off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cheese awoke to a loud yell. He jerked upright and looked to his right. He saw Pinkie shaking and taking sharp breaths.
"Pinkie! What's wrong?!" He cried.
"I-I-I had a bad dream..." Pinkie said. Cheese grunted in his head. Pinkie didn't seem to be the type of pony to have nightmares.
"It's okay, Pinkie. You know that they're not real." Cheese said.
"I know...." Pinkie trailed off. Her eyes were shiny and he could tell she was on the verge of tears. Cheese slithered one of his forehooves under her shoulders and the other one over top. He pulled her into an embrace. Pinkie snuggled into his chest. She brought her head back up to look at him. She smiled.
"Thanks, Cheese." Pinkie said. He smiled as he leaned his forehead in to touch her own. Pinkie closed her eyes and a leftover tear from before dripped out of her sky blue eyes. She felt shocks of warmth shoot through her body as he touched his head to her own.
"Hehe, no problem." Pinkie opened one eye and 'booped' his nose with her hoof. She brought both hooves around Cheese and returned the embrace. Pinkie had now pulled Cheese and herself so close that their muzzles were mere inches away.
Finally, Cheese couldn't take it anymore. He pushed his head forward until his muzzle met Pinkie's.
Pinkie's eyes flew open as her lips met with the pony's beside her. Her heart sped up and her cheeks flamed. Cheese parted from her after five seconds. Her eyes were wide and her mouth hung open. Her ears flattened back. Cheese looked down and blushed.
I-I'm sorry..." He mumbled. Nopony said anything for awhile. Pinkie was in deep thought. Had Cheese really felt that way about her? Then a again, she was pretty sure she she felt the same way. Cheese shifted awkwardly under the covers and Pinkie realized she should've said something.
"C-can you do that again?" Pinkie asked quietly. He looked up.
"Really?" He asked.
Pinkie nodded slowly.
"Okay..." Cheese said. He gulped and hesitated.
"Oh, just kiss me already!" Pinkie said as she wrapped her hooves around his neck and pulled him quickly into another kiss. This time was different, though. It was more pationate. It lasted about 15 seconds, but it felt like hours. They parted, and Pinkie left him lolling his tongue out and his eyes wide. Pinkie smiled. Cheese leaned in and kissed her again.
This time Cheese let Pinkie's tongue inside his mouth. Her tongue explored his mouth while his tongue slid into her and did the same. They parted after a minute and only a strand of saliva hung between their mouths.
"Wow...." Cheese said. Pinkie smiled.
"Wow you!" She said as she poked his chest.
"Do I have to say it?" Cheese asked. Pinkie rolled an top of him and deviously smiled at him.
"Not if I say it first!!!" Pinkie said. "I LOVE YOU!!!" She shouted. She clasped a hoof over her mouth as she watched a light switch on across the street. She slowly let the hoof fall from her mouth.
"Calm down." Cheese said. "I love you too."
