Spikes big Rumble
"Man big brother, school sucked today" Said Rumble wearily, dropping his books on the kitchen table and unburdening himself of his saddle bag. He let it drop to the floor with a thud.
"How come?" ThunderLane asked, turning his head towards his little brother.
"Well... I" He shifted nervously "got detention".
ThunderLane was more than surprise to hear his usually peaceful little brother getting detention.
"Why?".
"Because some pricks we're bullying Spike for being different!" Rumble exclaimed.
ThunderLane's face grew a small smile. He already knew what was coming next. But asked anyway.
"And how does this affect you?".
Rumble puffed out his chest and replied.
"Well one thing led to another and Spike and me kicked their flank!" Rumble was practically drowning in self pride.
"Little brother, fighting never solves anything" Said ThunderLane with a raised eyebrow, but was hiding a smile underneath his parenting expression.
Rumble's pride vanished and he hung his head in shame.
"I know" he muttered.
ThunderLane couldn't hold himself back anymore and he chuckled, bringing his brother into a hug.
"So how badly did they get whooped. Also I never thought of Spike being a fighter".
Rumble was very confused, as he pulled away from the hug. He looked up to his brother, and asked.
"Your not mad?" He asked in almost disbelief.
ThunderLane shook his head "Not at all. You stood up for your friend even if it meant that you would get detention. Thats really loyal".
Rumble was overjoyed by his brothers kind words. His happiness was instantly restored.
"Well first off me and Spike grabbed the nearest chair and...."

"A FIGHT! how.. why.. I.. thats so unlike you Spike?!".
Spike was sitting in a chair inside Ponyvilles library being interrogated by his mother/sister figurehead, Twilight Sparkle.
When Spike got home today from school (Of which he recently enrolled in), he had decided to tell Twilight about the fight and get it over with. Twilight much like ThunderLane's reaction was surprise but quickly turned into curiosity.
"I mean... why?" She asked, calming down a bit.
"Well..." Spike went on to tell her about the whole situation. From when Rumble came to his side, to when the teacher showed up and saw two knocked out colts on the ground, unconscious. And a dragon and colt standing over them.
Twilight listened carefully. Once Spike had finished the story she pulled him into a hug.
"I'm sorry those Colts called you names Spike, I knew enrolling you was a bad idea" A few tears fell.
Spike pulled away and looked her in the eyes.
"Twilight its okay, most of the fillies and Colts are nice to me like AppleBloom and the other CMC's. And now thanks to this I made a new friend. Rumble. By the way he asked if I could come over tomorrow. Can I please!" Spike pleated on his knees.
Twilight giggled and kissed his forehead.
"Sure, anything for you spike".
He wraped his small arms around her neck as best he could and ran upstairs.
"Thanks Twilight!" he yelled.
She shook her head and smiled.
"He's going to be ok..." She said, going back to her books.
"Perfectly... ok."

"Hay Spike, thanks for coming over!" Exclaimed Rumble, opening the fence to the yard.
Spike walked through and brohoofed the colt.
"No problem, I had to come by and see my hero" said Spike with a smile.
Rumble blushed, which went unnoticed by the dragon.
"So.. what do you want to do first?".
"You invited me over, remember?" Said Spike, with a raised eyebrow. Still smiling.
Rumble's blush returned and he rubed the back of his head with a hoof.
"Oh.. yea. Well how about we play tag" Rumble suggested.
"Sounds good!, oh and one more thing" said Spike.
"Yea?".
"YOUR IT!" Spike poked him on the shoulder and ran off.
Rumbles awkward blush vanished, and he quickly took off after the Dragon. The two of them laughed and played for hours, until the Sun started to come down and Spike had to go home.
They both agreed to hang out again soon...
Today was a good day....

"Twilight I'm home" Spike called out, closing the front door to the library behind him.
Twilight came rushing down the stairs almost tripping over books along the way. She picked up spike in her magic and sat him down on the couch.
"How did it go? did you have fun? are you two best friends now? when do I get to meet him? what games did you play?..."
Spike put a claw to her muzzle.
"Twilight you're acting like Pinkie Pie" He exclaimed with a chuckle.
Twilight sheepishly smiled and pinched his chubby cheeks.
"I just want to know how my little Spikys social life is doing".
Spike swatted her hooves away, laughing.
"Everything went fine Twilight. We played tag for hours and talked. Hes a really cool colt, did you know that when he grows up he wants to be a Wonderbolt?!" Spike asked happly, with a yawn.
Twilight gave a smile that only a mother could give and put spike on her back.
"Thats great Spike, but I think it's about time for bed don't you agree".
He only nodded and in a matter of seconds he was asleep on Twilight's back.
She giggled and trotted upstairs to their bedroom, and put spike to bed.
As long as Spikes happy, I'm happy, she thought....

ThunderLane pulled the bed sheet over rumbles body and turned off the lights.
"I hope you had fun today little bro" He said sincerely.
Rumble smiled up at his brother.
"I sure did!. Can Spike and me hang out again soon?"
ThunderLane chuckled at his brothers enthusiasm.
"Sure. Any thing for you little bro" He said, going over towards the door, and griped the handle.
"Goodnight brother" Said Rumble tiredly closing his eyes.
"Goodnight little brother" He said, closing the door.
I'm happy as long as you're happy, he thought....

Chapter 1
Arcade
Spike was walking through Ponyville hoping to visit his best friend Rumble. He had spent most of the morning speaking to Twilight, conniving her to let him hang with Rumble for the day. Twilight needed him at the library to help out with all the chores, but let him go anyway. Spike spotted the familiar house and ran a bit faster. He knocked on the front door.
He heard sounds of hoofs on the other side of the door, then it opened to revile a light gray Pegasus colt with a darker gray mane and purple eyes. Said Pegasus smiled at the teen dragon.
“Hay Spike glad to see that you could come over” Said Rumble moving out of the way for his friend.
“Yea thanks for having me over” Spike turned to his friend “So what do you want to do?”
Rumble closed the door behind them and then walked past the drake, heading upstairs, Spike fallowed.
“Well first I need to get the bits out of my room” Said Rumble with his hoof on the handle “and then how about we go to the arcade?”
Spike smiled “Sounds like a plan”
Rumbles room was just as you mite imagine a teen colts room to look. He had a bed, posters of very seductive looking mares on his walls, beer bottles on his counter top and anything else you could thank of. Spike had been in this room a lot of times before and new the place like the back of his head, but today he noticed something... different. A magazine on Rumbles bed, a certain 'type' of magazine, you know the ones you keep hidden from your mom! Spike walked over to the bed and got a closer look.
Was that a Stallion on the cover?
He couldn’t verify because just then the magazine was stanched away from his claws by Rumble, the Pegasus then quickly flew over to his closet and threw it in, closing the door behind him.
Spike was just about to ask 'what the hell' but Rumble beat him to it.
“Um.. you ready to go?” Said Rumble at the door to his room, as if nothing ever happened.
Spike decided to drop the subject and nodded, the two walked out the door and out the house. The walk to the arcade was very quiet & very awkward...

Once they made it to the large red building with the big red sign saying 'Arcade' the two friends went inside. All ready the place looked packed full of pony's, but two players stood out of the crowd. Button Mash & his mare-friend Sweetie belle who looked like they where just about to beat the world record on 'Supper smash Bro-hoof'. Spike and Rumble pushed past the crowd of onlookers to get a better look, and they where right Button Mash and Sweetie belle where on the finale level, the boss level.
Not wanting to wast there day just watching the teen dragon and colt left the crowd to go play some now empty games, but after only a few feet away from the other players Sweetie yelled in anger “Oh Come On!” fallowed by Button Mash crying and saying “Seven. Hours. wasted!” then the crowd booed and trotted away, Spike and Rumble felt a bit bad for there friends, but that quickly faded.
They had some games to play...
