//-------------------------------------------------------// Lies and Tears -by ssssssssssssss- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Tears Blur My Past //-------------------------------------------------------// Tears Blur My Past I’ve lied. To everypony about my past. My parents aren’t dead as I foretell, and I lied about my family connections to my cousins and friends. It hurts, but I can’t tell. They would be mad, and try and solve the problem. Anything but that. I beg. But I can’t help but act differently. Today was the worst day of my life. So was this week-the worst ever-even thought it was my birthday. And that, is where my story begins. I take each day with a fake smile and self confidence. I try to act happy, fun, chilled, and just calm. But like some days or weeks like this, I kinda lose it. My name is Midnight Dash, and I’m a liar, a big fat liar. My worst week started like this- A thump was heard in my room. I rubbed my eyes into focus. I tried to see who it was, but it was no use-too dark to see my own hooves. I squinted my eyes and trotted up to my window, sunlight beaming in. “Surprise!” yelled a stallion voice. My mind tried to figure who it was. “Uh, is that you, Night Cloud?” I whispered. “Yeah, don’t ya remember your own half brother?” he joked, flying on the edge of my bed. “Wake up sleepy head! A party is gonna happen at Sugar Cube Corner just for you!” he yelled, jumping on my bed. “Really? I’m so ready!” I shouted, flying out of bed, slicking my mane back. I beamed, my heart tensed with excitement. Me and him flew to the bakery super quick, laughing all the way. Sadly, I lied to him about everything also. My own half brother. We got there, smiling proudly, and I was greeted by my friends and the Mane 6, along with some other guests. I tried to be happy today- it was my birthday, but reminded me of me and my parents. My smile fell slightly, but I tried to smile harder, and be bright for once. But all the lies were nibbling at me, breaking me away bit by bit. Then, the unspeakable happened-tears suddenly streamed down my faces as memories hit me. My gaze fell on the floor, my heart paralyzed. My brother store into my ice blue eyes, his blue ones concerned. "Are you alright?" he whispered, cocking his head sideways. "I-I..." I stuttered, frozen, staring at who else but my secret cousin whom I lied about stood there at the doorway, staring at me. She had that minty green coat, a gold and orange mane- and those gold eyes. Those BUCKING gold eyes! She's Lightning Dust, the wreckless mare pegasus who Rainbow Dash made her mad and plot revenge at the Wonderbolt Academy. And she was right there, about to ruin my life and show the truth. I flew out of there, tears streaming down my face as I flew past my half brother and cousin.
