Chapter One: *Day of the Crash*
Sugar, candy, cupcakes... That's all I thought the night after it all happened. The day before, I was awoken by a large crash in our driveway. Curiosity got the best of me, so I looked outside. It was cold. Snow on the ground. Everything was normal, except for this one thing. As I focused onto it, I realized smoke was coming out from it. There was a huge crater surrounding the object.
As I drew closer, not focusing on the cold against my bare feet, I saw it. I saw a cartoon-looking rocket ship. This ship was about as big as me. I examined the ship. It said, “SS Mane 6” in faint letters. It was written in cursive. I didn't really think much of it, so I kept on examining the ship. And then it happened. One of the ship's doors slid open. Out came a...I don't really know how to describe it...I would say horse with a hot pink coat who smelled like Cotton Candy.
My heart stopped beating for a second. Am I actually meeting a new species? Is this real? Why is a pink horse here? Are they evil creatures? Is this all I have of my life? Will they try to conquer the world?
Suddenly, the pink horse spoke up, “Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie! What's your name?”
It can talk? W-what... My instinct was to cover my mouth, so I ended up going with that as my response.
“Are you okay, Mister? You look surprised.”
My mind was stuck on the topic of I am hearing a colored horse talking in English. I needed to talk, so I said, “Yes. I'm fine. You just startled me. Name's Cameron.”
“Oki Doki Loki, Cameron!”, she said, like a catchphrase. She then turned around and I saw a mark with balloons on it.
I spoke up, “What's that little mark on the side of your...prosterior?”
She giggled and told me, “Oh, that's what us ponies call a Cutie Mark. Didn't you know?”
It's...called a...Cutie Mark... Sounds like a term for a little girl's television show. I could not resist. I chuckled, “You serious? Cutie Marks?”
“Yep! A cutie mark defines what talents you have! It also tells ponies who they really are! My Cutie Mark represents Laughter! I throw parties for all kinds of ponies at my place!”
Ponies. I get it now.
“Anyway, I came here to explore the kind of stu-”
“If you came here to explore, you won't find anything interesting. Trust me,” I interrupted.
“Oh... really? I didn't really have a point to go here then. Guess I'll head back home.”
Suddenly, I got an urge to stop her. I was curious of what her world was like. I wanted to see stuff that nobody here has ever seen before.
“Wait, Pinkie Pie,” I said faintly, “Can I come with?”
“Why would you want to? You have a world to be in.”
“Well... I'm just curious of everything your world has. It seems we are similar, but a different species.”
I felt that I really opened up to her for some reason. I wouldn't usually say stuff like that within the first 10 minutes. I somehow adapted.
She thought for a bit and said, “Fair enough. You need some time to gather things?”
I told her I would be ready in 20 minutes and I walked off to gather my things.

It's 6:00 AM right now. I'm packing for the trip to the other world. What else do I need to bring? I've got clothes, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a flashlight, my phone, and...this picture of my parents... The last one I took of them before...nevermind... I have a life to fulfill. I am gonna need to stay away from depression for the time being. Anyway, I packed a couple waters, get dressed, and headed out.
I went over to Pinkie, and told her I was ready to go. Before we started, I asked Pinkie Pie about her world. She told me about the history of the land of her place. You know those mythical creatures you learned about in school? Like Unicorns, Pegasi, Ursa Major/Minor, and Manticore? Yes, those are there. Unicorns are basically like Pinkie Pie, but with a horn for magic. Pegasi are essentially the same thing as a normal pony, but... well... Wings. They can fly.
Suddenly, she hugged me 5 times at the same time. I don't know how...but she did. She just WRAPPED her hooves around me 5 times! Her fur felt soft. Not just any ordinary type of soft. Sort of like a bed type soft. Anyway, I didn't get much time to react after that since I started to feel numb in my chest. I didn't let go of my stuff. I peered around me, and everything just seemed to be getting brighter and brighter.
She then yelled, “Hold tight!”
I clenched my fists as tight as I could, not letting go of my luggage. I then felt my chest compressing even harder than Pinkie could even hug me. I felt my head change shape. I looked down, and saw my hands disappear. My eyes grew. I felt a horn growing on top of my head. My hair extended into a long, perfect mane. My jaw changed shape. I then realized that I was being turned into a unicorn.
Everything around me and Pinkie Pie turned black.
Getting used to my new vocal chords, I asked, “Umm...Is this supposed to happen?”
“I haven't had this happen before...”
I asked, “How do we get out?”
She said in an undecided tone, “I don't really know...”
I asked, “Can't you just try to teleport out like you did with me to here?”
She said, “We'll have to wait before we try it again.”
“So, how did you even do that in the first place?”
“Oh! Twilight Sparkle, one of my friends, cast a spell on me which let's me hug anypony and they turn into any form you want them to.”
I understood just a little bit of it, but I get the idea. I studied magic when I was little and wanted to be a magician, but figured it wasn't really easy to do stuff like that. Anyway, we talked a little and figured out about our personal lives. Me, trying to stay away from the depressing parts, just said that I didn't feel comfortable talking about it.
Once we got used to each other, we both laid down to rest for a minute.
Suddenly, she jumped up in excitement, saying, “Ooh! My Pinkie sense tells me that something good will happen.”
I questioned her, “How close to real time IS your Pinkie Sense?”
“Oh, fairly recent!” she said as she closed her eyes into a smile.
“So this means...”
“Let's try it!”
She then jumped onto me and hugged me again. This time, I wasn't being suffocated. A light flashed and then we just teleported to her world.
It was night. Everypony was sleeping, so I decided I wanted to sleep too. Pinkie Pie offered a place for me to rest for the night. I took it, and then slept.
I haven't met any of her friends yet. She said that there is elements of friendship around them. Generosity. Loyalty. Kindness. Laughter. Honesty. Magic.
I would love to meet all of her friends once. But for now, sleep.
