Fog, fog to some may mean a gloomy day in which you can’t see the sun and the day feels dead. To my Town it’s a symbol of fear something bad happened and until me nobody knew what, regardless they don’t believe me im just the freak who watches a little girls show and predicts horrifying events. To say the least the city spoke to me she wanted me to try and save some people but even she knows they won’t listen.
Now for the little girls show it’s not that important just something I like in my spare time but either way that doesn't stop me from being called fag, Satan worshiper, and bastard child but I didn't care, either it was by my own will or the whatever caused the events but most of the time after they would trap me into a corner and beat me they would suffer. Be it the death of a family member or many broken limbs and the Mayor couldn't be sent away the City wouldn't allow it.
But today was not a good day even by my standards no today was the day my Town would change forever. The fog was so dense you couldn't see a foot in front of you, and the citizens didn't care they knew something would happen and the best they could do was hide or accept fate and most it was the later. But on this day was the day the town was obliterated and set free, because the only way I can continue life is because of her sacrifice she was the defender of this town and without her I wouldn't be alive nor would the other people. Though they blame me for what happened I bet, I wouldn't know I'm not on earth anymore. So let’s get to the main part and tell you about the day the city died.
Fog that’s what the news said wouldn't happen and it did and I was ready no matter what the city could do she couldn't save me from most of those things that attacked. But regardless I began my day looking at my wardrobe I sighed, all I really had was either all white or all damn the warden which is my nickname for the orphanage mother. She bought the cheapest clothes possible and it was going to be cold one so I picked a black sweater with jeans to boot. Then I had two options scarf or a jacket, meh fuck it scarf’s are kinda cool. I was the first one up so I made a dash downstairs and grabbed the best food first, those assholes deserved it anyway. After breakfast the warden met me at the door.
“Here are you things whelp, remember if you kill me nobody will take care of you.” I didn't respond just walked out of the house with my bag in tow, the local drunk drove by me and hit me with an empty beer can. Her then proceeded to drive off a bridge taking a one hundred foot drop his car exploding on impact and the fire ball floating past the bridge. A sighed another drunk dead.
As I approached my school I felt something in the back of my head something that told me to run and leave this town but I didn’t and I regret it later. As I closed the distance between me and the school. I had time to think about education I realized I love learning it was great you could hold so much knowledge but it was wasted in today’s society. Then I realized that between me and my high school building was four jocks; big dumb strong and most importantly the leader who was holding a knife, you see my life is not some normal hell I have to survive each day the school would not stop them to be blunt they all wanted me dead and I didn’t care they mean nothing to me.
Before I could try to close the distance between me the leader whose name was Bruce deloria charged at me knife in hand screaming “I’ll kill you freak you took my brother now I’ll take you!” this happened all the time, people would attempt to kill me and I would simply run away or the city would take care of them. I just stood there and waited for one of two options death or the city and as I predicted the city stopped him the gunshot happened out of nowhere and a hole ripped through his head. This was a common sight and I just continued walking his goons ran once they heard they shot. The city was more powerful on these days.
As I walked into class the students glared at me, this was the least they could do. I took my seat at the front row of the class there were three rows I sat in the middle. When the class began the first lesson was over science more specifically nuclear energy and weapons. The teacher asked if anyone knew about these weapons I was the only one who raised my hand. So for the next five minutes the teacher asked if anyone knew anything, my hand was in the air after a while she gave up and responded
“Yes anon what do you know about nuclear energy and weapons?” Anon in the name I am called I can’t even remember my old one. So for the next twenty minutes I horrified a bunch of xenophobic southerners. After that was done the teacher gave us our homework and sent us on our way. We got half an hour free period if the teacher was done for the day so I spent that time staring at the sky that’s when I heard it, a sonic boom, something was coming this way. Whatever the object was moving quickly. I shouted as loud as I could.
“EVERYONE HIT THE DECK NOW!!” it didn't take long for the object to come into sight a sky blue blur with a rainbow trail this can’t be good. Then a strange double shock wave exploded from it and it gained even more speed it then hit the ground.
Dust, dust every were but no fog the fog was gone except for a figure that stood before me a figure; no a female figure it was the city I knew this because she appeared to be made of fog and a thin mist of it surrounded her. She spoke in a motherly voice “please take this chance ive given you and make a new life, a better life” with that she faded away. I didn't know what to do, the only thing I could call friend was gone she gone. And for some reason I seemed like I was forgetting something no it wasn't the agony in my chest region it was something about that rainbow missile I guess it what it was. I feel like I should know what it was; I could worry about that later for now I need to see what is wrong with me.
After the blast I didn't notice much other than the cities spirit dying, but when I saw the crater I questioned how even she saved me the crater was massive and the area where she stood and back appeared to be safe but this thing went far past me I think most of the school was gone. When I looked closer around me I could see bodies, or what was left of them. Mangled corpses of the boys and girls I went to school with, ironic they probably wanted to see me like this.
Well enough complaining the government has probably dispatched soldiers and scientists alike. That was best case scenario worst case def-con 1 and the world is already ending. And they decided not to fire on this place again. So I tried to stand and realized I couldn't move this was due to a piece rebar that impaled my chest. Somehow missing my heart and lungs but I was still stuck so if the government came I would likely be killed, also most of my clothing was destroyed I still had my pants and a little bit of shirt but that’s it. So here is my situation bleeding very slowly and possibly going to die here. I looked towards the ground zero of the crater and saw a figure a blue animal of sorts; it appeared to be a pony of sorts. Its mane was scorched and from what ive added up was the cause of this. But it wasn't dead it was breathing and struggling to get up after a moment it stood up and looked at me then my chest and started hobbling over to me. Once it came It asked in a raspy voice that sounded female “h-hey are you ok do you need help” I tried to speak but coughed up blood instead, I guess the rebar had pierced my stomach. “We need to get you help can you move?” I shook my head. “I’ll help you get off of that metal” I shook my head as quickly as I could and moved a bit to show here what would happen the wound bled a bit more and a tasted even more iron. She understood.
Before anything else could happened a zipper appeared out of nowhere and a pink pony jumped out “hi rainbow dash I was wondering when you were coming home so I came to get you!” she looked at me and her eyes widened in shock “oh who is this is he ok I don’t think he is supposed to be bleeding out of his chest.” The one known as rainbow dash didn't have time.
“Listen pinkie I don’t care how you got here but can you drop us off right at the hospital in ponyville?” I don’t know why all she needed was to get to a hospital and a good nap and a shower and she would be ok.
“Of course I can but before that can you tell me what happened here?” she looked around and the realization hit her.
“I happened” she said “I hit this place with a double sonic rain boom and there all gone. She was near tears now, I may be near death but I was going to help her.
“It’s not your fault, they knew something bad would happened that’s what fog means in this city but they didn't listen” I could feel myself slipping into an abyss “but you need to leave I am going to die here and there is nothing you can do so just go.” She looked sad then she thought of something.
“Are you a kid?” I nodded “then you better not bucking die, if I can prevent it I will never let a kid die now get ready because this is gonna hurt!” she grabbed me by the shoulders and yanked me from the concrete I was impaled to my vision blurred and I blacked out, god damnit why is she so familiar.
