My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic -- The Lost Episode
The Lost Episode
Load Full StoryI’m sure most of you are aware of the popular TV show called “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”. If you aren’t, then I’m rather surprised as it covers large portion of the internet. I am a Brony or I… was until I came across this rather disturbing episode. Now before all of you begin to claim this is a Creepypasta that will be overusing blood and guts, and apparently I’ll go missing. If you’re expecting that, you are sadly mistaken. In fact, this one is quite real… and disturbing to say the least.
Around a week before Season 4’s release, an alleged “Season 4 episode 1” leak was released on the popular Tumblr blogging website. The person who posted had both the post and their account taken down due to copyright claims only a few hours after posting. There was a handful bronies who watched it before the Tumblr staff noticed the post, and I happened to be one of them. And personally, I regret ever being up that early. The post was originally posted by the Tumblr user “AlexLovesPonies” at around 6:45 am Eastern Time. The link that was left in the post took anybody who clicked it to a page titled “SEASON4EPISODE1LEAK.HTML”.
The page itself was pitch black, with no sorts of CSS added to the background and within the middle of the page was a video with the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic logo as the thumbnail. Above the video was a very small line of text which had the font Times New Roman and the font color was a white color. The text read: “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 4 Episode 1 EARLY RELEASE” with a bunch of hashtags and jumbled text after it. The link the user opened on Tumblr opened a separate tab, but for some reason, it closed all the tabs and windows you had open at the time, leaving the tab you had selected open and leaving the internet browser you were using as the only window open.
Upon pressing play, the episode took a while to respond. A rotating, white dotted buffering logo appeared upon pressing play and carried on spinning for about five minutes as if a bunch of people were trying to access it at once. The logo lagged here and there and even stopped sometimes, before proceeding onwards. When it eventually vanished, the title sequence began to play. This was rather strange due to the episodes mainly having pre-title scene before the actual opening titles. The quality of the video was surprisingly good, but the audio jump and lag sometimes and even repeated a few lines in the theme song, but nonetheless the episode carried on running, making some of the audio to be out of sync with the video.
As the title sequence came to an end, the iconic Princess Celestia opening the letter Spike had sent to her scene played, but as it went to show the picture of the mane six, it was replaced with a huge wall of static that covered the entire size of the video, but the audio still played. The static was extremely distorted, making it impossible to see beyond it. A few seconds later, the logo appeared on the screen before disappearing. But instead of saying who the series was created by, it was just a lavender screen before cutting to black without the fading transition.
As the episode began, it started out like any other episode. The mane six were together in the Ponyville Park, and Twilicorn was trying to learn how to fly. Rainbow Dash was her mentor and the rest of the mane six were having a picnic, admiring both of the fliers in the air as they tried to perform some tricks. Humorously, Twilight failed and crashed into the ground while Rainbow Dash giggled to herself in amusement. In some frames for only a few seconds, the colors became more vibrant to a point of blinding, before quickly changing back to normal.
The music within the scene was bright and cheerful and of a high quality. That was surprising to say it was a leaked episode, and not the actual thing. The music was a nice melody, some of the higher notes were not heard, in fact, some of the higher notes were not even in the song.
“You’ve nearly got it, Twi. At least you can live yourself off of the ground!” Rainbow smirked, and Twilight shot her a look. “What? I’m saying you did well!”
Twilight began to speak, but the only thing audible was static. The static wasn’t too loud, it was only just audible. Her mouth seemed to mime: “Whatever” with a roll of Twilight’s eyes as she said that, seeming annoyed at Rainbow’s cocky and usual gesture.
Rarity as usual was sat up on a long sofa she had pulled out with her magic, and was lying down on it, embracing the warmth of the sun coming down on her. None of the characters seemed to speak to each other; in fact, no mouth animation was seen whatsoever. All the characters did was passing the food around with head animations in places where speech should have been.
As the scene progressed, the cutie mark crusaders were seen playing with a skipping rope in a field nearby, Scootaloo hopping over the rope and Sweetie Belle and Applebloom swinging the rope. The voices soon became audible again, but this time of a mediocre quality as the voices were heard, but a large block of static covered them as the high quality music began playing over it, but it was covered by the static.
Within the static, Applejack’s voice was heard though it but the words were hard to hear. But… the words “don’t” and “head” was heard, before a twisted laugh from Applejack soon followed. The music began to slow down as if the audio was beginning to break, and pixels began to consume the screen. As the quality got progressively worse, the scene began to darken and what sounded screams inside of the static became audible before the playback stopped all together. The screen was pitch black, before a small block of text came on.

It remained like that for a few seconds and nothing was happening. The internet connection was near enough perfect, so it was as if this was intended. The message soon disappeared with a loud, distorted beep that burst its way out of the speakers. The screen was black for a few seconds, before a loud burst of static was heard and also was visible on the screen before revealing a dark and depressing scene. All of Ponyville was shrouded by thick and black storm clouds, and houses and buildings were now twisting and floating in the air.
It was like Discord had returned for the season opener. There were a few landscape shots, showing ponies hiding within the shadows and mourning bodies of dead ponies. The weeping was silent, and as the scene focused on one certain group of ponies, two blue ponies, both with bright yellow manes were crying over a bloody, grey body of a stallion who had been killed by something or somepony. As the shot panned in slowly, the weeping soon became audible as the word “why” was repeated from the mourning ponies within the crying.
And as the shot finished zooming in, the ponies soon glanced back with their pupils dilated to a point where their eyes were pitch black and as their heads quickly swung back, a loud, distorted scream came from the screen. This frame lasted about a second before yet again going silent and cutting to black. This lasted a few seconds, before a scene of the Ponyville Library in the same setting. Dark and gloomy. Twilight soon stormed out of the library with her head hanging low and as the door swung shut, she began to wander through the streets of Ponyville, ponies looking to her and shouting abuse at her.
Twilight was acting seriously out of character, as mumbles of what sounded like Tara Strong when she isn’t acting at all was heard coming from her mouth. The moans of sadness from the lavender Alicorn began to get louder, and soon became clear and hear-able.
“I didn’t ask for this… why her?” Twilight mumbled as if her voice actor was referring to Twilight.
The heckling continued around Twilight to a point where heavy objects were thrown at her, and Twilight did nothing in her power to stop the objects from hitting her and as the objects hit her, loud crashing noises from the bricks and other heavy items that hit her. She had no reaction, but scars were created… they blended in perfectly, looking cartoony. All of this looked like something you would expect see in a cartoon.
The scene continued, before a bright light shined from within the gloomy setting of the scene, and as it did, a large, white Alicorn with a black and white streaked mane and a greyed out sun for a cutie mark appeared in front of Twilight, her eyes also greyed out. This was Princess Celestia, and she seemed agitated. Twilight soon stopped, keeping her head down as the tall Alicorn in front of her glared down at her.
“This is your entire fault!” Princess Celestia’s monotone voice called. “From this day, I banish you to the moon, hereby making the Elements of Harmony disbanded for eternity!
“You will suffer alone for the rest of your days… just the way Luna did…And. I. Am. Not. Sorry!”
Twilight did nothing and as there was an eerie silence, the distorted and barely audible screaming began to echo yet again, before the scene began to pixelate. Celestia’s horn began to glow. Begs for help were also heard within the screaming, before an aura surrounded the lavender Alicorn before consuming her completely.
The scene changed almost instantly to a scene where Rainbow Dash was hugging a cloud, and sobbing into it almost uncontrollably. Rainbow was covered in all sorts of scars, especially along her forehooves. It was as if she had been cutting herself. The camera angle changed to be viewing down on the path below the cloud, and there stood a Scootaloo with the same eyes as the ponies who were mourning the dead body, staring up at Rainbow with a fast changing expression. It changed from a smile to a frown, and it froze on on the wide grin for a few seconds, showing bent and broken teeth, yet again with a cartoony look to them to help it blend in.
Walking into the shot was a bright pink pony, hanging her head as the screams of agony kept repeating, this time the distortion was beginning to disappear. It was Pinkie Pie. Her once poofy mane was now straight and darkened by her sadness; she sat in her place, staring up at the cloud with pure white eyes that were dead. And her mouth was now missing. She had no smile, or frown. Just an empty pink space below her muzzle. Black, inky tears ran down her cheeks before those thin and grey looking tears turned into waterfalls of black streaming down her face, painting her cheeks a dark, charcoal black.
The scene skipped a panning sequence and quickly changed to a close up of Pinkie’s face. The thick, inky liquid from her eyes now leaking down her face so much that her face was soon becoming bony as if what was streaming down her face was her blood. The liquid stopped leaking, and the blank face of Pinkie stared directly at the viewer, her skin now becoming dry and revealing the bone behind it as the pink fur began to melt off of her face.
Scootaloo was cowering on the ground, her facial expression now sticking to a horrified look on her face and Rainbow Dash was no longer where she was. All that was left was the cloud she was on, and within the background was the sound of Discord’s sinister laugh played in reverse, in a deep monotone tone of voice. As if Discord was suffering from depression.
The scene changed to Sweet Apple Acres, where the trees were dead and the fields were all empty where shriveled crops were. The barn was boarded up and the fields were being pounded by rain. In the center of the empty field sat Rarity and Fluttershy, crying over the body of an orange pony and sitting on the back of Rarity was Spike, who seemed to mumble about how he missed Twilight in a depressed voice tone as they all sobbed. Applejack was not covered in any bloody wounds, but it looked like she was starved to death. It was as if she hadn’t eaten for months… and her once vibrant coat was now a dull, orange color and her eyes were closed.
And then it switched to the final scene, where Twilight was sat on the moon, crying loudly and curled up on the ground. The scene panned out for the remaining few seconds, before fading to black and the episode ended, restoring all tabs and windows.
