A Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare Walking
Chapter Seven - March Forwards
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt was coming close to the time of attack. Everypony gathered in their groups, directions were given, and they all got ready to leave the cozy camp. Most knew they were signing their own death warrants, but then again, would their be any to sign? It was a question only the least focused thought about. Which in that case was only two or three. Eventually, they grasped reality. Rainbow Dash gave the order to march, and everypony started forward.
It was now 6:45 AM. The dry, cold morning air, accompanied by the frozen dew, cooled the bodies of all the marching ponies. Sweat ran down them like water down a steady mountain stream. They all were worried and stressed about the coming events. Their knifes firmly grasped in their hooves, weapon triggers ready, fully briefed. They were prepared physically, but not mentally. That was something that had to conquer.
The ponies walked for what seemed like hours. At 7:27 AM, ponies were getting tired, leaders got them to suck it up. Eventually, everypony was tired from walking. They forced themselves to get over it. Some lagged back for a few seconds, trying to rest. They were eventually pushed or pulled forwards.
"So, what happens when we get there, Dash?" Carrot Top asked, looking over at Rainbow Dash with her bow in hand.
"We do what we were told," Dashie responded, staring at the ground and walking forward."attack." Carrot studied Dash's face. Her expression showed the feeling of frustration, and anger. Carrot grew concerned.
"Uh...Dash...somethin' wrong??" Carrot Top asked. Dash looked at Carrot top with the same expression of pure hatred.
"No..." Dash responded once more, with a grim tone. "I'm fine...just keep walking." With that statement, Rainbow started to accelerate forward. Signaling her group to follow up. Carrot Top dismissed Dashie's perhaps unintentional attitude, and kept walking.

Time passed, ponies were growing tired. It was now 9:46 AM. Ponies were starting to drop down from restlessness. When enough ponies started to plead for a resting time, Dash and Carrot Top agreed and sat themselves.
Derpy sat herself down beside Turner. She leaned her head over on Turner's shoulder. She put her hoof over his. Derpy was holding Turner's hoof, but he wasn't holding hers. His face showed sadness. Derpy leaned down.
"Are you okay?" She asked. She gave him a kiss and allowed him to speak.
"It's....It's nothing..." Turner muttered. Derpy knew he was lying.
"Turner, what's wrong?" Derpy asked again. Turner gave in and told her.
"I've been feeling bad about last night for some reason..." Turner said. "I don't think I did the right thing..."
"It's okay Turner, you didn't do anything wrong." Derpy said, giving him another kiss. "You only made me happy. It wasn't your idea."
"What the buck are you two talking about...?" Another stallion asked. Derpy threw her hoof forward to meet his face. The stallion shot back to the ground, half stunned from the impact.
"Screw off." Derpy stated softly. The stallion got back to his hooves and trotted back to where he came from.
"I don't know Derpy..." Turner said slowly. "I think...we may have both done something wrong."
"Turner," Derpy started. "it would have only been wrong if you stayed in and---"
"No!" Turner shouted. "I don't...want to remember." Derpy stopped for a moment, stunned by his action.
"Wh-what do you mean..?" She asked.
"I mean I wish that had never happened..." Turner said. "We committed a crime!" Derpy felt a her eyes welling up with tears.
"Y...you didn't commit a cr...crime..." She stuttered.
"You're right..." Turner said, giving Derpy some hope. What ounces of happiness left in Derpy though, were soon demolished when Turner finished his sentence. "you did...it was your idea. I was just stupid enough to go through with it." Derpy stood back shocked.
"What happened to you?" She asked, with a tear falling from her eye.
"You want to know what happened to me?!" Turner shouted. "You!"
"Wh-what...?" Derpy asked, her face was streaming with tears.
"And if I'm lucky, you'll die today." Turner said, an evil grin spread across his face. Something wasn't right about him, and it seemed to spread to the other ponies. Derpy didn't take this into knowledge though. She slapped him and knocked him down on the ground, almost unconscious.
"You little ass..." She said. "I thought there was something special about you." She kicked him in the stomach, rolling him over on his back. She put her hind leg on his stomach. "Maybe I could kill you now." She started to push down, Turner's eyes were bulging. Derpy almost killed him, when Carrot Top pulled her back.
"Derpy...stop!" She exclaimed. "It's not him...something is wrong with this place. The hivemind is influencing hostility among everypony. It's a bit contagious." She nodded at Derpy, and walked away.
Derpy looked down at Turner. Blood was streaming from his mouth and nose. Derpy helped him up. Turner spat blood on the ground, and wiped his mouth.
"Sorry..." Derpy said. "I thought it was you." She leaned in to kiss him.
"Derpy..." Turner said.
"Yes?" Derpy responded.
"I'm bleeding, are you sure you want to do this?" Turner asked.
"What difference does it make?" Derpy asked. She kissed him anyway. She tasted blood, but just dismissed it. She wasn't worried about blood, just as long as she didn't drink it, it was fine with her.

It was now 11:40 AM, and the camp inhabitants had arrived to the Hivemind. Zeds everywhere.
"Now is the time." Dash stated. "Now is the time to show the Hivemind who's in charge in Equestria."
With that, Dash gave the order...
"Attack"
