Chapter Five - The Big Problem

So, Time Turner was patched up that night. The medic helped Ditsy escort Turner to his tent. Once that was done, the doctor left. Derpy sat with Turner throughout the night. Every time Turner tried to get up to get something, Derpy would go do it for him. She gave him water, gave him snacks, and most of all gave him comfort. Turner appreciated this, but he felt bad for making her do everything. But Derpy made sure to remind him, that it was her choice to help him, so he shouldn't feel bad because she liked helping him.

Everything was over by about 10:52 PM. Derpy stayed up with Turner, in his tent, for about two more hours until she finally fell asleep. In his tent. Turner knew she didn't mean anything of it, given that she had just fought some monster, and stayed up two extra hours. She was probably restless.

Turner looked down and noticed Ditsy smiling. Her forelegs wrapped around him, and her head leaning his shoulder. He smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead. She was actually asleep this time. Eventually, after a few more minutes, Turner fell asleep too.

Turner woke up to see his foreleg wrapped around and empty space. He got up and looked around confusedly. The he looked behind him to see Derpy with a creepy smile on her face.

"Boo!" She shouted. This, nonetheless, sent Turner flying to the outside the tent and into the gravel. A bunch of ponies, just coming out of their tents, stared at him. Derpy came out laughing. "You're still scared of me?" She asked. All the other poies, seeing Derpy come out of the same tent as Turner just came out of, were extremely freaked out and confused.

"Puttana..." one muttered.

"What did you call me?!" Derpy asked, looking at him angrily.

"Um...It was a complement." The stallion said again.

"You called me a whore you asina!" Derpy shouted back. She ran up to him and grabbed him by the throat. The tossed him over to the side, crashing into the wall. His foreleg was broken, so bad that the bone inside tore out of the skin. The stallion screamed in pain as he held his arm in place.

"Who else wants to give me a 'complement?'" Derpy asked. Everypony stepped back. "That's what I thought." She returned to Time Turner. "Hehe, sorry." She said. "You had to see my mean side."

"That was actually quite amusing..." Turner said.

"Ha, you should see me when I'm REALLY mad." Derpy replied.

"I think I'll pass..." Turner said again.

"Hehe...okay." Derpy said with a smile. She gave him a quick kiss. "You want something to eat?"

"Know that I think of it..." Turner replied. "I am actually pretty hungry..."

"Well then, come on!" Derpy said holding her hoof out to pick him up. Turner grabbed her hoof and pulled himself up.

When they got to the eating area, they looked at the food chart to see what they would get, then started eating when they gathered their food.

Meanwhile, Carrot Top and Rainbow Dash were looking at the broken radar system.

"So how the buck are we going to fix this?" Rainbow Dash asked. She looked at Carrot Top's bow. "Maybe that bow of your's may help somehow."

"Well," Carrot Top said. "I worked on something, do you mind if I tried it?"

"No problem," Rainbow Dash replied. "You could try nuking this thing to make it work, there isn't much use to it. I don't see why anypony would care."

"Alright." Carrot Top said again. She loaded her bow with a modified electrical arrow and pulled the arrow back. "Stand back." She warned. Dash stepped a few feet away as Carrot Top released the arrow and it shot into the radar. The thing seemed to reprogram itself and even transform into a larger version of itself. The range was wider, and the signal was stronger. Rainbow Dash noticed something. A huge red dot, with tons surrounding it.

"What the buck is that...." Rainbow Dash said. Carrot Top leaned closer to the machine.

"That's Everfree..." Carrot Top said. She looked closer at the red dot, and zooming in on it. "And that's a central mind-carrier."

"I thought we were fighting zombies, not aliens!" Rainbow Dash said.

"That's what I thought too, but from what I can tell, these Mind-carriers are organic." Carrot Top looked closely at the radar, zooming in more on the group of red dots. "The small dots are Hiveminders, the medium are Mind-Carriers, and the big one is..."

"Is...what?" Rainbow asked.

"That's the Hive-Mind. That's the end of the apocalypse, if it lies in ruins." Carrot Top finished. "Prepare everypony in the camp, we are going on one final raid."

"Affirmative." Rainbow Dash replied. She went outside and got everypony's attention.

Derpy looked up at Rainbow Dash as she walked to a small uplifted area for announcements.

"Everyone," Dash started. "we have found the Hivemind." Everypony looked around and questioned each other confusedly. "We must get all the weapons, ammo, and supplies we can, everypony is now required to train themselves to be elite."

"What the bucking hay are we doing?!" One of the stallions shouted to her.

"We are destroying the Hivemind!" She shouted. "All of us!"

"I ain't gonna risk my life for crap like this!" Another stallion shouted.

"Then we will use you like we did the pony who broke the radar." Time Turner said calmly. The other stallion remembered the other guy being torn apart, and sat down in is seat. "Anypony else disagree?" Nopony raised their hoof. "Good, then let's get to work.
