To Twilight Sparkle's dismay, Sydney- mother mare who also happens to be a reporter from Canterlot- entrusts her with coltsitting her son, Charlie.
Even after being recommending Pinkie Pie, Sydney still wants the librarian to keep an eye on her young five year old pegasus.

From the eyes of a young colt (the prologue and epilogue being the only exception), Charlie tells about his stay with Twilight Sparkle, and the many adventures he has in Ponyville.
And he certainly isn't the only one who's discovering new things.
