THE SLUMBER PARTY

   Fear? Yeah. A lot.

Rainbow Dash had arrived at Twilight Sparkle's tree-house. Every month, a large slumber party was arranged by Twilight (She is the planner, after all). To decide who would pick the events, they made a cycle. The cycle would be in the following order: Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and then, Fluttershy. It was Rarity's turn tonight.

Rainbow Dash had romantic feelings for Fluttershy. Strong ones. Everypony knew, except Fluttershy. Of course, since Rarity knew, there would be Truth or Dare. In the last few times with Truth or Dare, she had avoided her turn with an excuse to use the lavatory. Unfortunately, Rarity decided to tell Dash that there would be no skipping this time. They would pause the game if she had to "go to the restroom', then resume the game when she got out. Of course, they both knew that either way, Fluttershy would know. If it was "truth", she would be asked who she "liked". If the answer was "dare", she would be dared to tell Fluttershy how she felt. Should Rainbow skip? No, that would be too obvious. The day after, she would get her ass handed to her by Rarity.

"Let's do this..." Rainbow Dash trotted into the tree. There, all of her friends were, Rarity giving her a smug look. "Hi, guys." Pinkie Pie was the second to react.

"Dashie!" Pinkie bolted up to Rainbow Dash and gave her a big hug.

"Urgh... Pinkie... Pie..." She said, gasping for air. "Let... Me... Go..." She let go.

"Oops, sorry! I was just so happy to see one of my best friends!"

"I'm happy to see you too, Pinkie..." Rainbow Dash sounded disappointed and worried.

   "Rainbow Dash? Are you OK?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." Rainbow Dash lied. After greetings, they settled down. Rarity, surprisingly, did not pick Truth or Dare first. She picked a movie. After loading up the movie projector, it was revealed that the movie was a romance movie. It was about two mares who were in love, and went on happy dates, went to dinners and had a happy life. At the end of the movie, they got married. The movie was lovely.

Rainbow Dash, on the other hoof, was nervous. She focused on the movie little. On some big parts, she paid attention and sat right next to Fluttershy the entire time. She was gazing at her most of the time, but was also jittery. She knew what was coming. It was inevitable. No, no no no no! This can't be happening. Please! No... She never had told anypony that she had feared this moment. She was too awesome to reveal her actual fears. If she had told Rarity about her fear, she probably would have given her leverage.

When the movie was over, it was 23:30 (11:30 PM Imperial time). Rarity made her move.

"Next is Truth or Dare, everypony!" Dear Celesita... "I'll start!" Rarity exclaimed. Minutes seemed like hours as her other friends were forced to reveal secrets or do dares. Most did dares, and the secrets were just boring. then came Rainbow Dash's turn.

"Rainbow Dash! Truth or Dare!" Rarity gave her an evil grin. No... How do I do this? Truth? Or dare? Truth? Dare? Truth? Dare? Oh dear Celestia, make it stop!

"DARE!" Oh no... Time moved slow. This couldn't be happening... I'm so stupid. Think, Rainbow! Think thing think think think think!

"I dare you to... Oh you probably know what I am going to dare you to do anyway."

"Yeah, I do." Rainbow said in defeat. She did know. Well, it's over. I'm done. "Fluttershy, would you come outside with me? I need to talk to you."

"Me? Now?" Fluttershy asked, concern clearly in her voice.

"Yes, now." Fluttershy followed Rainbow Dash outside. They closed the door. Here goes nothing... "Fluttershy... I need to get something off of my chest I've been holding in for a long time now. It's not gonna be easy, hell, it's gonna be complicated. But you need to know this."

   "What is it?"

"Well..." Rainbow was thinking about how she should play this out. "Remember back in flight camp... When we told each other that nothing, no matter how large, could separate us?"

"Yes, and that is still true."

"OK. Here it goes. Remember back in Canterlot? During the Changeling invasion when I knocked the three other 'fake' Rainbow Dashes to the side? I gave you a hug. Then..." She turned red. "I gave you a kiss on the nose."

"Yes, I remember that. I recall that being a friendly kiss."

"N-no. Fluttershy..." What the hell am I doing!? No! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING TO ME! "It wasn't a friendly kiss. It was... Something more..." Shit. "Fluttershy... I think I might be in love with you."

"Oh-oh my... But Rainbow Dash? Why? I'm not angry... Just... Why?"

"No! You are angry at me! You hate me! Just say it!" Rainbow Dash was now crying.

"I'm not angry. I'm happy you told me what was going on."

"Goodbye, Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash jumped from the ground and flew mach-nine to her cloud house, not bothering to close the door on her way in. She made her way to her bed and got under the covers. She began sobbing harder. "She hates me now. She does. I know it. She denied, but I know she hates me. It's over." She didn't care who heard. She just wanted to sleep. Sleep and not wake up for a very long time. It's like today was a nightmare anyway. She eventually cried herself to sleep.

2 HOURS LATER

There was knocking at the door, which made Dash awake from her sleep. Her eyes were bloodshot, but she didn't care. Nothing to go back to, anyway. Every one of her friends was at the door, most of them have had the cloud-walking spell used on them.

"Rainbow Dash?" A certain yellow Pegasus asked.

"Yeah. It's me. Why are you here? You hate me."

"Rainbow Dash. I don't hate you! I would never hate you!"

   "How do I know that?"

"Can I talk to you?" Knowing that she won't take 'No' for an answer, she let her in.

"Could you guys please wait in the kitchen? This is something I have to talk to Fluttershy about alone." They all nodded. "Thank you." Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash walked up to her room. They closed and locked the door. She didn't want the rest to hear. "So, what do you want?"

"I came to cheer you up."

"Impossible. It's over. You hate me." Rainbow Dash was sobbing again.

"I don't hate you! Why would I hate you?"

"Because I confessed to you that I was in love with you."

"So? I don't hate you for that. I would never hate you. No matter what."

   "R-really?" The crying slowed down.

"Of course. I don't hate you. That would be ridiculous. You're my best friend." They hugged, seemingly for hours. When they separated, Fluttershy began speaking again.

   "You know, Rainbow Dash..."

   "Yeah?"

   "Can I tell you something?"

   "Anything."

"Well... It's not really telling you. It's giving you something."

"Oh? What is-" Their lips met. Fireworks went off in Rainbow Dash's head. It was amazing. She never would have guessed. Time stopped. It was magical. It lasted for a good two minutes, but it felt like an hour to both of them. When they separated, they smiled and kissed again.

"I love you." Rainbow Dash told her.

"I love you too, Rainbow Dash."

Tonight was the best night ever.
