And of course, things have to happen in the first chapter.
"OHMIGOSH!!!!! I'M SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!! YOU KNOW WHY?"
Jose's hope for a quiet day were bashed in a very loud way. Diana came zooming into the room at top speed, yelling at the top of her lungs. Wincing, Jose stepped on a bomb. He asked why.
Diana exploded.
"BECAUSE THE NEW SEASON OF MY LITTLE PONY IS PREMIERING TONIGHT!!! IT'S GONNA BE BEAST!!!!"
Diana was shouting, slapping her hands on the table, and kicking her legs. Translation: She was excited.
Such was the way of Dianarian, a language hard to decipher. Jose found himself to be a translator for when she tried to communicate with human beings.
"So, you gonna come and watch with me?" Diana patiently waited for a reply. And then Jose did the right thing. He said yes.
Diana exploded once again. "YES! IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!" She almost ran out the room, but was held in by her teacher's disapproving glare. Her antics slowed to a THUNK, THUNK, THUNK, as she kicked the table. She said nothing as she was handed a lunch detention.
Which, she fell asleep in, if you really want to know.

"For this celebration marks not the defeat of Night Mare Moon, but the return of my sister, Princess Luna," The T.V. spoke as Twilight prepared to fly.
Diana held tight onto her bag of insta-popcorn. By Celestia, if she had known what was coming next, she would have held on less. The blazing purple cutie mark stretched upon the sky.
"OHMIGOSH!" The bag of popcorn popped as she squeezed it. Pieces of popcorn flew about as she danced in happy circles. "SHE DID IT! SHE DID A SONIC CUTIE-Hey, are you crying?" Her attention was fixed to Jose, who had tears running down his face.
He noticed Diana was watching. "Oh, god!" He quickly brushed away his tears and said, "I wasn't crying! I was…thinking of…onions?"
Diana grinned as she slugged him in the arm. "You're as bad a liar as Applejack! I mean, Applejack can lie, she's just really bad or maybe she's out of practice! Or maybe…"
Jose drowned her out as he looked closer at the screen. Yeah, the end credits were on, but why was the screen getting brighter? For a split second he saw a picture of some tall white pony with the words:
Gotcha!
He screamed as they were both sucked into the screen. Or should I say portal?

Diana felt an odd twisting sensation, and her ears were on fire from Jose's screaming. It seemed to be getting louder. There were pulling sensations everywhere, except for her fingers. They felt numb. And then, she was dumped uncermoniously onto the ground. But her fall was broken by something… soft and warm. It was Jose. She quickly hopped off, but was unable to find her balance on two legs. She reached up to brush a piece of hair from her face and screamed. Because she didn't have fingers.
She had hooves.
