Flying around at night was a bad idea, but she had no other choice. The young Pegasus went out drinking at the local pub with a friend and now he was missing. She would usually stay in the confines of the lit street ways, but for some reason her friend took it upon himself to go elsewhere. Flying in the dark isn’t the best idea. There are some clouds that can’t be seen in the dark. Unfortunately for this one pegasus, she had to run into a black storm cloud. A large boom came from the cloud and lighting quickly followed. A bolt hit the innocent mare and she dropped out of the sky. Luckily a now sober Soarin flew down and caught her. “Wow I knew you were clumsy, but I didn’t know you were this clumsy.” Snickered Soarin with a playful look on his face. “Quiet you.” The pegasus on Soarin’s back said. She looked first at his face, then away in embarrassment. When they finally reached the ground she started to try to wipe the blackness off her wings where the lighting struck her. When relatively clean she started to walk away. “Hey! Where are you going?” Yelled Soarin as he followed the mare. “I don’t know and I don’t care!” Replied the very irritated Pegasus. “Spitfire please! Don’t go!” Soarin said trotting next to her. “We went to drink and then you left me worried out of my mind trying to find you.” exclaimed Spitfire in an irritated voice. “Well I’m sorry, there was this cute mare and I just…um… kind of followed her.”, Soarin said trying to explain the situation as best he could. “You make me sick” Spitfire said giving him a glare that would stop any other pony in their tracks. Spitfire took off the way to her dorm angrily. Soarin knew if he tried to follow her that he would eventually get hit by something or by her hoof in that case. So he decided to leave her be. Well for the time being that is. He knew her too well. She would get mad and be better the next day. So he flew off and went back to his dorm. The next day was as he expected. He met her early before their class and said sorry for leaving her and making her worry. And as usual she took a deep breath and forgave him, and then it ended with a hug or a small kiss. Soarin and Spitfire were the most popular couple on campus, even though they were only freshman at Cloudsdale University. It was probably because both of them were already being scouted by the Wonderbolts. They started to walk to their first class together which was Air currents and aerodynamics. The class explained the way the air worked and ways to fly easier through hard winds. “Welcome students”, the teacher said with a large grin on her face. The white pegasus who was standing at the front of the room scanned all the students. “We have a new student today” The teacher said. “Excuse me, Ms. Surprise. Um… why are you introducing a new student? We aren’t foals anymore.” An annoyed pony said. “Well, you see, she doesn’t come from Cloudsdale and none of her friends from her town are here, so I would like to help her make some new friends.” the teacher explained. “You can come in now Rainbow” The teacher motioned a pony in the hall to come in from the door. The blue pegasus walked in with her head down nervously. She looked like she was going to cry or something. The other ponies looked at her. They were amazed with how she looked. She looked athletic and very active, not to mention really cute also she had a rainbow mane. Some chatter arose in the classroom and Soarin could hear the guys all talking about how hot she was and how they would like to get a piece of that flank. He would have happily joined in and start talking about the new mare’s appearance, but with Spitfire there it wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do. He knew if he even said a word she would be mad. So he looked over to her for some type of reaction to the new mare, but she gave him a glare of disproval when she saw the lust in his eyes. “Please introduce yourself sweetie.” The Teacher asked. Without any hesitation the nervous looking pony went to a pony with absolute energy. She flew over the teacher’s desk like she was going to give a speech. “I am Rainbow Dash.” She said in a loud and proud manner. “I am from Ponyville and I am the fastest pony in Equestria.” She said with serious eyes towards the class. Almost all the jaws dropped when they heard that. They were very confused. A pony that walked in all shy and now saying she is the fastest pony in Equestria. The class was silent for a few second and began to chatter again. She flew cockily to the seat behind Soarin. He turned and started to chat with her. “Hey.” Soarin said politely. “Yo.” Rainbow said with a playful smile. Spitfire turned to him with an unhappy look on her face. She knew something was going to happen, because of the appealing stature of Soarin to the other mares and with Rainbow as a new student and not knowing of their relationship. She could tell something was going to follow after their little chat. Ignoring the look, Soarin continued the chat with the cute mare. “So, where are you staying?” Soarin asked curiously. “Oh, I was assigned to a dorm room.” The cute mare said happily. “I am moving in today. I think the room is 573.” She said a split second later. With that one comment Spitfire turned her head and stared at her, with a look of disbelief on the yellow mare’s face. “Wait, you were assigned to room 573, right?” Spitfire said quickly. “Yeah; why?” Responded the surprised Rainbow Dash. “That is my room.” Said Spitfire. The two looked at each other with dumbstruck faces. And in the middle Soarin grinned with cheerful smirk on his face. They both knew what he was thinking. Two mares together, one his special somepony and a cute mare. What could be more fun? He usually stopped by almost every day to hang out with Spitfire. But now that there are two mares and the new one is cute and relaxed, he can have some more fun meetings. The thoughts went through his mind and the two mares giggled. “Hey, I’m Spitfire.” The yellow mare said. “Hi.” Rainbow said cheerfully. Knowing Spitfire already saw her introduction. “So, we will be sharing a room together.” The yellow pony said happily. “Ya I guess so.”, replied the happy blue pegasus. The two sat in an awkward silence when they noticed the teacher was standing over them with a stern look on her face. “Having a nice chat ladies.” she said looking at both of them. She turned to face Soarin still seeing that he was in a fantasized state. She went behind him and hit him on the top of his head. With a surprised squeal he awoke to consciousness and looked around. The class laughed at the confused colt as he put his head in his hooves to try to hide from the embarrassment. “Did you have a nice nap?” Surprise said with a smile. The class continued with their laughter. “Yes, ma’am” He said in a disappointed voice. “Ok then. Now that Soarin is up let we should be getting back to class” Said the teacher with a large grin on her face. She walked to the front of the class and started to talk about if you turn your wings downwards or something it makes you go a bit faster or something. The three ponies just sat there quietly for the rest of class. They just wondered what they would do later. As class ended Spitfire trotted next to Rainbow Dash and asked her if she would like a tour around campus. Like any new pony to college, Rainbow agreed. They walked along the stone walk way as the day passed them by. The next thing they knew they were outside their dorm room and Rainbow’s stuff littered outside the door. “So, can you help me move in?” Rainbow said with a small smile. “Sure, I don’t mind.” Said Spitfire The two mares worked for about forty-five minutes before taking a break. They only brought in at least half of what Rainbow had in the hall. They were tired and Spitfire had a great idea. She could call Soarin and have him do all the heavy lifting so they don’t have to. She called him up. *Ring-ring, ring-ring*. Soarin was in his room with a couple of friends playing cards. “Black Jack!” Soarin yelled happily, pulling a pile of chips towards him. Groans came from the other colts while Soarin gave them a smirk. *Ring-ring, ring-ring*. His phone was ringing. He looked down and groaned. He looked up with an annoyed look on his face. “It’s your special somepony; right?” One of his friends said in an annoyed voice. “Yeah.” Soarin said in a unhappy voice. He picked up the phone. “Hello Spitfire!” Soarin said loudly. “Sorry for calling so late, but we need your help.” Spitfire said. “We?” Soarin said in surprise. “Yeah, me and Rainbow.” Replied Spitfire. “Fine, on my way.” Soarin said sighing knowing his night was ruined. “Thanks.” Spitfire said then hung up the phone. Soarin walked slowly to the door with his head leaning down due to him being so tired from the long day. He didn’t want to leave a game of Black Jack especially if he was winning. But if Spitfire needed his help he had to go. So he walked out of the room and flew over to the girl’s dorm. Abiding to the school rules he had to sign in this time to visit the girls, other than sneaking through Spitfire’s window like the previous times. He walked down the long corridors and up a few flights of stairs. He said hello to some passing mares that he was friends with and nodded his head to the others he didn’t know. He got to room 573. He was surprised that with the size of this building that there could be this many rooms. He quickly pushed the thought aside after seeing random books and other pieces of furniture lying around outside their door. He knocked on the door. “Hello, who is it?” A voice came from the other side of the door. He didn’t recognize it, he probably thought that it was some other pony helping Rainbow move in. “Hey stop it!” Spitfire yelled happily. “No, not there Rainbow we have a guest!” She said again but with a little squeal. “Come on, they can wait!” Rainbow said. Next were the sounds of things being shuffled around. Soarin was getting hot, his wings were about to go up. Then he heard a large crash. He put his ear to the door to make sure everything was ok. He could hear little squeals coming from inside the room and pressed his ear harder on the door. “Stop, please stop!” Spitfire moaned. “Harder? Ok I’ll go even harder!” Rainbow said. Moans came from the room and Soarin couldn’t help himself anymore. He already had a wing boner for about a minute and was getting more exciting by the second. He pushed open the door and to his surprise. The two mares were doing nothing but organizing Rainbow’s stuff. “Wait what!” Soarin yelled. “What were you two doing in here!” He asked. “Well…nothing.” Spitfire said. “It was Rainbow’s idea.” She said again with a large grin on her face. “See Spitfire looks like it worked. Didn’t it?” Rainbow said cheerfully pointing at his wing boner. His face turned red and he ran into the hall and sat outside the door. “Oh, come on don’t be a crybaby. It was all in good fun.” Spitfire said in a gentle voice. “That was just plain mean though.” Soarin said sniffling “You can’t just mess around with a guy’s heart.” he said angrily. She gave him a little chuckle and walked back into the room trying to organize everything. “Ok, let’s call it even. You left me at the pub last night and I embarrassed you now.” Spitfire said happily from inside the room. “Fine.” Soarin groaned. The three ponies worked the night moving box after box into the room and unpacking. After they were done they sat down and started to talk about all the fun things that were around campus and around town. They discussed how Soarin and Spitfire were being scouted for the Wonderbolts. With this Rainbow Dash flew out of her seat. “Really, you two are being scouted by the Wonderbolts.” Rainbow said with an amazed look on her face. They nodded. Soon topic quickly faded, but the shine in Rainbow Dash’s eye was still there from hearing that. For the rest of the night they talked about the classes they are taking and what teachers were cool and the teachers were just bad. They found out they had two more classes together, the Study on Gravity and the Study of Health. The night was fun, but around twelve o’clock Soarin left. The only ones left were the two mares in the new refurnished room. Rainbow had her things neatly placed on her side of the room. The two decided to chat in their beds before falling asleep. “Hey Spitfire?” Rainbow asked quietly. “Yeah Rainbow?” Spitfire replied. “Are you dating Soarin?” Rainbow asked hesitantly. “Yeah why?” Spitfire said sitting up curious for what Rainbow had to say. “I am looking for a special some pony.” Rainbow said. “Awwwwww.” came from Spitfire. “Yeah, yeah, yeah” Rainbow said with a sigh. They talked the whole night about the nice colts in the area. She told Rainbow about a colt who she knew for a while, but after she described his personality, Rainbow was disinterested very quickly. With a small chuckle Spitfire looked at Rainbow with curious eyes. “Hey Dashie?” Spitfire said in a playful voice. “Hey! Who said you could call me that!” She snapped back in embarrassment. “Please Dashie! Only us.” Spitfire said with a smile. “Fine.” Rainbow groaned. There was a quick silence in the dark room. There was only the sound of movement in the beds while the two pegasi shuffled around trying to get comfortable. The silence ended with an odd question from Spitfire. “Hey Dashie? Have you ever been with a mare before?” She asked quietly. “What?” Rainbow said sounding confused. “Yeah, I mean have you ever like kissed a mare before, or something?” Spitfire said nervously “No, not yet.” Rainbow replied. “Oh.” Spitfire said in a quieter voice. “I don’t think it’s wrong or anything, it’s just that I haven’t tried it before” Rainbow said quickly. Spitfire giggled at the funny response. They were now sitting up and looking at each other. She smiled. “Hey don’t worry about it. It was just a question.” She said with a small laugh. “Oh, ok.” Rainbow said in embarrassment. The two mares said their good-nights and fell asleep for the next day. The next morning Rainbow was awoken by the already awake Spitfire. “Rise and shine my rainbow maned friend.” The yellow Pegasus with said loudly. “What time is it?” Rainbow groaned rolling around in her bed finally looking at her alarm clock. It said five A.M. “Why in the name of Celestia are you waking me up at five?” Rainbow mumbled still half asleep. “You said you were the fastest pony in Equestria.” Spitfire said. “Yeah I am, after twelve.” Rainbow replied in an annoyed voice. “Oh, come on. Get up.” Said Spitfire while ripping the bed covers off of Rainbow. “Fine! Fine! I’m up!” Rainbow yelled looking quite angry. “Then let’s go!” Spitfire cheered. Spitfire led Rainbow down the hall and down the stairs to the kitchen. She took some carrots and other snacks, because no other pony was around. After they left the dorm they met up with Soarin near the racing track. “Hey Soarin!” Spitfire yelled. “Hello ladies.” Soarin replied. Spitfire nuzzled him and stood next to him. “This is our new training buddy.” She said. “Oh, really? Do you think you have the stuff to fly with us?” Soarin asked. “Of course I do.” Rainbow replied cockily. “Then prove it.” Soarin said with great confidence. The two ponies lined up at the starting line of the race track. Spitfire was the one who was going to announce and start the race. Both ponies had determination in their eyes and were ready to bolt off the starting line. “Ready…Set…Go!” Spitfire yelled. The two ponies flew of at a great speed. The race was going to be five laps around the track. The two went fast. Not just fast, but so fast that it looked like one of them were going to do a Sonic Rain boom. The race seemed like only couple of seconds, but the winner was obvious. It was Soarin. He came in one second before Rainbow. “Soarin wins!” Spitfire yelled. Rainbow flew over with an angry look at Soarin. “I’ll get you next time.” Rainbow said with a now happy smirk on her face. “Alright, alright.” He said with a smile. The three ponies worked out for the rest of the morning. After they finished, they said their good-byes and went to their classes. Rainbow went to Psychology class; Soarin and Spitfire went to their Music class. The three ponies agreed to meet up later that night for any what reason. That night they met at Rainbow and Spitfire’s room. They wanted to try to decide what to do for the night. They didn’t have any big classes for the next day, so they wanted to try to find something fun to do. They came up with three choices. They could go drinking, go to a club, or they could just chill. They picked the most reasonable one… Drinking.
