'Twas a cold night. Though all nights were cold in Sombra's exile, the Frozen North, this was one of the coldest. He was undaunted by the chill, as his castle was made of ice. His ice castle was nestled between two frozen mountains, made to house him and most importantly, to practice his dark magic.
Sombra, however, feared that this horrid place would diminish his power, eventually destroying him. He needed a way to stay strong and indestructible. He was quite a skilled Unicorn, and he felt he was greater than Celestia. After countless days and nights, Sombra finally found something that could work. It was a creation spell; a spell that would create a pony made entirely of dark magic. However, the spell was difficult, but that didn't faze Sombra.
After a complicated incantation, there was a resounding bang and a swirl of black and grey. After the dust settled, a small grey and black little Alicorn filly stood in front of him. Sombra gazed happily at his creation, but was startled when she opened her eyes. Instead of a dark red and pouring out purple smoke, they were a bright teal. A shiver went through him. His eyes had been like that once...
