Birthdays

    Derpy woke up early in the morning she was excited about her birthday. She knew it was too early for the other ponies to be up so she tried to go back to sleep. She tossed and turned in her bed she closed her eyes and tried falling asleep but it didn't work. She even tried humming herself to sleep but not even that worked. It felt like time was going slower then usual, was it because she was to excited about her birthday, or something else? She didn't know but she slowly dozed off thinking about all the wonderful things she'd do on her birthday.

   Derpy woke up hours later then she usually wakes up, so she quickly got up and ate something. After that she went around to see if there was anything else she needed to do. After all of the work she did she flew down to Ponyville to greet everyone. Strangely it was a whole lot quieter then usual. Derpy didn't worry about it though, she continued walking.

    As Derpy walked around Ponyville she began to worry, she hadn't seen any pony in what seemed like hours. She'd been wanting to spend her birthday with all of them, for the longest now. She stopped in front of the Ponyville statue to think of where they all might be. Derpy then trotted over to the schoolhouse to see if any pony was there, but there wasn't. When Derpy seen no pony outside she checked the inside, again, no pony was there. She blinked a couple of times trying to think of another spot where the ponies might be, and she got an idea. She walked over to the Ponyville marketplace and was surprised to see there was nothing there but silence. Derpy left the marketplace and went to the Sugarcube Coner to see if any pony was there. Yet again no pony was there. "Where could they all be?" Derpy questioned trying to figure out where they were. "What is something bad happened to them?" She said worriedly. She then went galloping around to look for them but she tripped. Derpy hurried and got up and instead of galloping she trotted around. She trotted all around with no idea where to look first, and it began getting cloudy. I need to find all the ponies before it rains Derpy thought. Derpy looked at the day spa, carousel boutique and the costume shop. Still she was unable to find any pony. It had also already started raining heavily and her mane and tail where a mess. "I don't know where else to look" she said with tears in her eyes. She plopped onto the ground, but was poked by something. It was a toy laying there on the ground. Derpy then realized there was a trail of objects leading somewhere. She wondered why she didn't realize they where there before but went on to follow the trail. The trail lead her everywhere including the places she already checked. Finally the trail ended at the Golden Oak Library.

      Derpy walked into the library to see darkness, so she turned on the lights. She seen nothing there, until everyone jumped out and surprised her. They all greeted Derpy with a "Surprise!" And "Happy Birthday Derpy!" Derpy stood there silent for a couple of seconds and tears started rolling down her face. Twilight, Applejack, Rainbowdash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity rushed over to her side. "Awe what's the matter darling" Rarity said. "Maybe we scared her" Fluttershy said in her somewhat quiet and timid voice. "No, you didn't scare me" Derpy said wiping the tears from her face. "I've been looking all over for you all" she explained. "Well didn't you see the trail silly?" Pinkie Pie asked. Derpy shook her head, "No not until a few seconds ago." Twilight put her hoof around Derpy's neck "Oh we're real sorry Derpy we didn't mean to make you worry." Every pony agreed with Twilight. "It's okay" Derpy said smiling "I'm just really glad you all are okay" Twilight, Applejack, Rainbowdash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity hugged Derpy and she hugged the back. "Now, let's get this party started~" Rainbowdash said. Everyone agreed and the birthday party went on. At the birthday party there was entertainment, music, sweets to eat. There was also lots of people to talk to and dancing. Derpy was so happy they threw this party for her and she was thankful to have friends like all of the ponies. It was the best Birthday Derpy had yet.

        After a couple of hours everyone left and Derpy thanked everyone for the party before leaving. Her head slightly hurted from all the loud music but she was still happy. Then Derpy happily turned in for the night and fell asleep on a cloud.

      The next day most of the ponies returned to the library to help Twilight and Spike clean it. They all goofed around and talked about how awesome the party was last night they finally cleaned everything up about about two hours and left to go on about the day. As Derpy trotted around Ponyville she happily wondered about her next birthday and all the excitement.
