It’s a wonderful day in ponyville,like none other;And it’s a special day indeed,special for every couple…Hearts and Hooves Day! And who could have a better Hearts and hooves day than the most unusual and certainly the cutest couple ever…Spike and Rarity.
Spike comes back form gem hunting with a bag full of gemstones.
"What a gorgeous day to be walking outside!" he thought to himself.
He finally arrives at Carousel Boutique.
"Honey! Im home!" He says.
He was greeted at the entrance by Rarity,who was waiting for him:"Welcome,dear!" She said,with a smile on her face.
"Look what i got from the gem hunting today!" Said Spike,dropping the giant bag on the floor."oops..! My bad",he said,with a distressful smile.
Rarity looked at the bag,gems pouring out of it.she gave a shocked gasp: "ahem...ladies do not freak out....who am i kidding?". She began squeaking out of happiness. She gave one more look at the bag,her eyes sparkling:"such beautiful dresses", new design ideas starting coming to her mind.
"And i got lucky!" Said spike while getting something out of his pocket.
"I found another fire ruby!" Said spike,finally managing to get it out,
"It looks...so delicious..." Thought spike to himself,glaring at the gemstone in his hand.
"aha..im just gonna get back to work now,enjoy your sweets darling,but try not to eat all of them",finished Rarity,giving a sweet giggle.
"Mhhmmm!" Agreed spike with his mouth full. When he was about to eat the fire ruby,spike said:"umm..Rarity? Why dont you take this one instead?"*waving in the air with the specific gem*, "you know,in case you need it for something more special:) or if you lose the first one.i don't think its THAT different from the other gemstones."
"whaa?? bu-but its your favorite!! i couldn't...more important?? you're the most important jewel of all!" Responded Rarity,a bit shocked.
"You shine brighter than any diamond". She finished with a cute smile.
"Hmmm...okay more for me!" Said spike,eating the whole thing hehe... "Thanks Rary!"
"Anything for my spikey wikey!"
Spike gives a giggle.
After eating some more gems,spike decides to put the rest in Rarity's chest:"Ok im done,where is your chest where you keep all your gems in?"
"Now now...i let you eat some of the gemstones, but i think ill put them there myself",Responded Rarity,picking up the bag with her magic.
"Oh,ok!" Said spike.
"Umm…sweetie?"asks spike when he remembers what day it is.
"Yes spikey? Why are you staring at me like that?"spike giving her a mysterious grin.
"You do remember what day it is today,right?"
"Umm… *gasp*"Rarity gives a shocked gasp as she remembers!
"Its Hearts and Hooves day!!Our very first!!How could I forget?"
"YUP!"responds spike.
"I guess you do have a big plan for tonight,right?" Says Rarity with a kinky voice that made Spike twitch.
"Umm… yeah… of course I do!"
"Unfortunately,im a bit busy right now with an order that I really need to complete."
"What order?"
"On a new collection on the theme -a new beginning-"
"Ohh nice,im sure everypony is going to love 'em,because I do",said Spike,giving a smile.
"Awww aren't you the sweetest."
Spike notices something familiar happening to him,thinking:"oh c'mon not now!"and he burps out a letter:"uh… I wonder who its from."
He reads the letter then Rarity asks:
"What does it say?"
"Is from Twilight,she said she needs my help with something…again…Ok then ill be out of your hair for a bit,gotta see what she wants."
"Okay spikey! I'll be waiting... "Giving a mysterious smile.
Spike finally gets to twilight's,and opens the door:
"Hi twi! What did you need me for? I was kinda busy when i got your letter."
"Oh hi spike. Well you see,i kinda sorta lost my crown." Said Twilight,with a distress sign on her face.
"Now how in Equestria did you manage to do that?" Asked spike,a bit annoyed.
Before Twilight could explain,the library door opens once again,and Rarity shows up.
"Why hello twilight. What seems to be the hurry needed assistance of my spikey wikey?"
"Hello Rarity, you see,i lost my crown somewhere and i cant find it!"
"Can you belive her? How can you lose that? See?Rarity told you to always wear it,but nooo!
Twilight gives spike a sad look.
"…Look,im sorry twi, its just that you really should be careful with that thing…"
"Easy there spike…it isn't twilight's fault…it just happened.Now we just have to look for it…what about your royal status?"
Spike wispers:"hehe…royal status…yeah right…ahem!! Well then Twi,where do you remember putting it the last time?"
"Well…I've left it on the bedside table,before I went searching for a book about a new comet that appeared last night…then when I got back,it dissapeared! But that comet was just amazing,I’ve learned that it was born in the 7th century before our time,it is also nam- twilight stop as she gets interrupted by Rarity: umm.. twilight,I think you can share this outstanding information some other time…"

"Hmm… I remember seeing-" Spike gets interrupted by the random pink pony that had entered the library.
"Woah!!!" Shouts spike as he falls down from the scare!
"HIIII YOU GUYS!!!! What are you all talking about??Are you planning a BIG party for Gummy???I can help-" Pinkie’s mouth gets interrupted by Spike’s hand,as he gets up. "Um no pinkie,we’re not planning a party,twi lost her crown and we’re figuring out where it could be,what brings you here pinks?"
"Meh,nothing out of the ordinary,just returning the book twilight gave me,itsthebestbooksomeonecouldeverwrite, its about parties!!"
"Oh…well pinkie,can you help us with twi’s crown?"
"SURE!!!"
"So, I was saying …I saw Trixie walking around ponyville lately…I wonder what she’s planing now…I’d say we search for her,see if she knows anything."
"I agree with Spike",said Rarity.
They all leave the library to begin the search for Trixie,but,after checking all of ponyville:
"UGHH…!!! Where could she possibly be? We searched all of ponyville!" groans Spike."She has to be somewhere!"
"Calm down,darling,im sure we’ll find her…somewhere…"
All the ponies and dragon stop when they hear a familiar voice coming from behind."Well well well! If it isnt Twilight Sparkle and her little friends too."
They all turn around, only to see Trixie with Twilight’s crown on her head.
"Why you little!" Says Spike as he begins to run toward her for a hit.
"Too slow!" Says Trixie,as she launches a magical stun attack
"AAAAGHHH!!!! W-what is… can’t …move…" Spike falls to the ground.
"SPIKE!!!" Twilight and Rarity scream.
"We wont let you get away with this!"
Rarity runs toward Spike."Spike!!Spike!!!Can you hear me?" As she starts to tear up.
"Oh but I already have!" Says Trixie,as she launches two magic-disable spells at Twilight and Rarity.
"What in the hay???" Says Twilight,after she finds out what that spell was.
"Woah woah woah!!!!Hold your horses!!What in all of equestria is going on here???" Says Pinkie confused.
"Well,Trixie thought Twilight and the other unisnob will try to stop her,but trixie thought ahead. Trixie had learned a new spell-disabler spell,but due to her weak magic,couldn’t cast it alone,That’s why I took your crown,Twilight
Because you see,you radiate magical power ,and your pweety pwincess crown is on your head almost all the time,which means its been enchanted with magical power,perfect for Trixie to cast her spells,and now that I have it,Im finally gonna get my revange!!MUHAHAHAA!!!"
Meanwhile,Rarity and Pinkie are taking Spike to a safer place,trying to run away,when Snips and Snails appear in front of them,stopping them.
"Youre not going anywhere,mates." Said both snips and snails.
"Aw please,you think you can stop us?" Said Pinkie
"Yeah,cuz Trixie lend us some of her power,and we are unstoppable!" Said Snips
"Oh yeah?? You two punks think youre better than us?? Then I chalange you to a funniest-face-contest!! I begin!!"
In the meantime: "S-spike…please…open your eyes…don’t leave me,please…Spike… "says Rarity through sobs. As Rarity’s tears fall on Spike’s cheeks,he suddenly wakes up.
"Ughhh… what just happened…? Rarity…?"
"Spike!! I'm so glad you’re ok!! I though I was gonna lose you…" As tears continue to flow from Rarity’s eyes. Seeing Rarity cry,Spike begins to tear up as well: "Rary… im fine now…I told you…im never gonna leave you alone…never…"-finished Spike,as Rarity begins to hug him thightly.
"What are these two doing here?" Asked spike, as him and Rarity finished their hug.
"Trixie sent them here to stop us,buuut it looks like pinkie has everything under control."
"Grrrr…!!! When I get my claws on that Trixie!! She deserves no second chances,she deserves nothing from us!SHE-" Rarity places her hoof on Spike’s mouth.
"Shhh… its only her desire for power…like how greed controled you…"
"Yeah…don’t remind me…But why is she doing this?!"
"Hmmm… revenge! She still wants her revenge on Twilight."
"Pfft… please,Twilight knows darn well she can beat Trixie."
"Well… no… about that,you see…me and Twilight…Trixie disabled our magic…"
"Disabled??? Oh no… we have to help Twilight,she’s probably hurt! And how can Trixie know such spells? What is giving her this power…?"
"Hmm… I think I heard Trixie say something about…Twilight’s crown being enchanted in some way…"
"HA that’s it! We have to get that crown off of her head if we’re going to stop her…but how…… C'mon we must go! I think I know!"
Rarity and Spike are turning back while Pinkie "distracts”Snips and Snail
They are running toward Twilight who isnt handling it too well,shes flying and dodging each of Trixie’s attacks,eventually landing near Rarity.
"I sure hope you have a plan Twilight,don’t you?"
In the meanwhile,Spike steps in front of Trixie: "Trixie!Why are you doing this? I thought you were good now…I thought you learned friendship…"
"Me? Friendship? Please,Trixie doesn't need friendship,she has power,and im gonna make you see that the hard way!" Trixie levitates Spike in the air,and begins casting an age spell.
"No!!I know what she’s doing! The age spell!!!!" Rarity and Twilight watch helpless as Trixie performs her spell,transforming Spike back into an egg.
"SPIKE!!!!! NOOOO!!!! TWILIGHT!! DO SOMETHING!!!" Screams Rarity.
"I…cant…my magic doesn’t work…"
"MUHAHAHA!!! How do you like that for a magic trick?" Said Trixie
Suddenly, Pinkie appears:"Hold it RIIIIIGHT there!!!"
"Oh and what are YOU gonna do,huh? Throw me a party? Hehe…"
"Weellll…no…not for you,but I can do this!":p Pinkie starts bouncing towards Trixie,which cannot hit her,and picks up the crown.
"Well what are YOU gonna do now?" Said Pinkie as she breaks into laughter and snorting.
"Wow Pinkie…that was amazing." Said Twi
"You saved us all Pinkie… thank you…" Said Rarity relieved.
"W-What??? How dare you steal from Trixie? Trixie shall punish you-"
"Oh no you don’t!"*pew* said Twilight as she uses a stun spell on Trixie."n-no…"
"OF ALL THE THINGS IM GONNA DO TO YOU… NOT EVEN CELESTIA KNOWS!!!FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY SPIKEY WIKEY!!!" Screamed Rarity in rage,untill Twi stops her.
"Why are you still doing this,Trixie? I thought you learned your lesson…" said Twilight coming closer to Trixie.
Meanwhile, while Trixie explains, Rarity picked up Spike’s egg,looking at it, her tears falling on.
"Trixie begins to tear up.i-im soo sorry…i …I have to tell you all something…Long ago,when i was just a little filly, i lived with my parents...they were both very good magic users…they both gave magic performances in different locations…i was going everywhere they went…Untill one night,and accident killed them both… Before my father died,he told me to become the best at magic, and follow their path…I began making up stories,so i can be acknowledge by many ponies,so i can my parents proud…But then i saw you,you were better than me in any way…*hic*i couldn’t live with the thought that there was someone better than me…Im so sorry…"
"Its ok… sometimes anybody can have their ups and falls… you just happened to have bad luck…Ill give you my crown once more so you can reverse the age spell you casted on Spike…"
"Ok Twilight…and thank you for understanding me…" she begins reversing the spell, then slowly putting Spike on the ground,then he wakes up.
"Huh?? Ooook… now im really confused… What is Trixie doing here!???"
Spike starts running towards Trixie,before he Is stopped by Twilight’s magic.
"SPIKE STOP!!"
"H-hey!!! What gives Twilight!? Let me get my claws on her!!grrrr…!!!"
"Spike dear…I think Trixie learned her lesson for good this time."
"Really…?"
"Come on darling…would I ever lie to you?"
"Well… no."
"And I know just the right pony to help her.Twilight,as spike was in some way your student,only by being along with you he learned the magic of friendship,I presume trixie can learn it the same way."
"I supose that is true…" says Twilight
Pinkie starts: "Well then, how about a party? Pinkie pie style party?"
"That’s a great idea pinks! Plus gemstones?" Said spike with a grin on his face.
"Gemstones cupcakes Spike." Responds Pinkie with the same grin as Spike.
"I even have my party cannon prepared,in case of party decoration emergency."
"Now that’s what im talking about. Shall we go get ready Rary?"
"Most certainly,Spikey."
"Oh and Trixie… you're invited too." Said Spike grabbing a party hat from pinkie’s hair,then placing it on Trixie’s head.
"M-me? After all I did to you, I hurt you…"
"Nope! you didn't. You know … it was kinda nice and comfy in that egg!"
Spike begins to laugh loudly, followed by Pinkie.
"You’re our friend now, and me and the others will be glad to teach you all about friendship."
"Well everypony,lets make the best of our time and celebrate for our new friend,Trixie!!" Finished Pinkie followed by the cheers of the others. "Yayy!!!! Wooooohooo!!!!!!"
"Trixie,you can stay with me If you want." Said Twilight with a calm tone.
"Really?"
"Sure,why not!"
"Thank you,Princess." Said Trixie bowing to Twilight
Twilight gives a giggle, "hehe! You don’t have to do that." Giving her a smile.
"Oh Twilight, but I must! I still cant believe you've forgiven me even this third time…"
"Well ,that’s why friendship is magic!"

*gasp* "I have the perfect idea for my Spikey wikey’s outfit for this party!"
"Huh? Whats that?" Asks Spike with a smile.
"Just you wait! There’s no stallion that could possibly be more perfect to wear such a piece!"
"Oh ok!" Responds Spike as Rarity begins to sketch that idea she just got,then she turns back to measure him,Spike giving a sigh.
"Now stand still… I want this to be perfect."
"Uhm…umhm…"
Rarity continues on working on that outfit,as Spike starts whistling,then she gives a gasp.
"How could I forget!! I need some gemstones! Then again,I hope you wouldn't eat them…"
"Not these; don’t worry Pinkie promised me gemstones cupcakes so there will be plenty." As spike finishes his sentence, Rarity gives a giggle.
"Oh spike… always loyal to your word."
"Who do you think I am?"
"Then im gonna get some emeralds…no…rubies…hmmm…"
"Darn! And I knew I shouldn't have eaten that fire ruby from earlier." Continues Spike. "Both of us,with a heart shaped fire ruby…lovely…You should have kept it before."
"Aww…but I let you have it because I lo-" Rarity gets interrupted.
"Wait!! I know! I know!! Wait here!" Said spike as he runs to rarity’s gemstones chest.
"Uhh… how did you know it was there??"
"Dragon instinct!!" Yells Spike from the other room. "No…no no no……AHA !!!HERE they are!" Says spike as he comes back with a heart shaped sapphire and emerald. How could I forget about these ones? Well? I polished these myself,so which one do you think works best? Since you have the eye for this kinda stuff.
"Well… ill have to chose the emerald, it matches your eyes. Almost done… aaand here it is!!" Rarity comes back with a gorgeous tuxedo,with the heart shaped emerald on a cool black bow tie."What do you think?"
"It looks amazing!! I love it! But not as much as the pony who made it…"
"Aww…" Says Rarity, giving Spike a kiss.
"Now I cant wait to see what you're gonna wear…"
"Hmmhmm… I bet you cant…"
"Woah!! You look amazing!!"
"Well dragon boy? Shall we?"
"Yeah we don’t wanna be late…and I think this party is perfect for our hearts and hooves day date don’t you think?"
"Yes, it will be magnificent."
"I told you I had plans…" Finished Spike giving a grin.
"But,are you sure we’re gonna have some time alone,you know,with everypony there as well?"
"Don’t worry,just because Pinkie will be…just about everywhere in this party,doesn't mean we wont be able to go somewhere…private…"
"Oh my…" said Rarity,bushing.
The couple finally arrives at Sugarcube corner,and everything looks nice and fancy,just like Rarity liked. They go in,then everypony in there stares in awe seeing the beautiful couple.
Pinkie Pie randomly appears in front of them: "HIYA RARE,HIYA SPIKE!! Woaaah…you two look great!!"
"Why Pinkie,you've outdone yourself with this party." Said Rarity
"Thanks! Gummy helped!" Said Pinkie tilting her head towards Gummy on an used Party cannon.
Suddenly,Twilight and Trixie appear.
"Gosh, you two have become the center of attention." Said Twilight with a smile.
"Hehe… did we?" Said spike,blushing at the same time as Rarity.
"Looks like we’ll have a romance scenario tonight…" said Trixie with a smirk on her face. At those words, everypony awwwed,with a cute smile on their faces.
Suddenly,RD,AJ and Fluttershy appear.
"Hi everypony!" Said Spike I think you all know about the…earlier events…
"Oh… my... yes Twilight told us all about it… im sorry about Trixie…" said Fluttershy.
"…Trixie is just like me… Ah didn't know ‘bout this…" Said AJ,covering her mouth with her hat.
"And Trixie, im sorry I was so angry at you before." Said Spike, coming closer to Trixie.
"No worries…I deserved it…"
"Enough with all this sap! Are we gonna party hard ponies?!" Said Pinkie,breaking the silence.
"Lets get this party started!!" Said DJ Pon-3 from the corner of the room,placing a CD on her bass dropper.
The party starts,everypony is having a great time,and RD is drunk on cider.
"Umm… Rainbow… I think you had enough cider…" said Twilight
"No twi…you has enough cider*hic* this party is just heating up… dontr bea a party popper…" responded RD,barely keeping her balance.
"Don’t worry twi,I’ll get her lay down to calm her down,now c’mon Rainbow!" said AJ,dragging her away.
"H-hey watch it! Who do you think your touching…?" Said RD,falling asleep.
In the meantime, another song beats down, Spike and Pinkie headbanging like crazy. Rarity watches Spike from afar,as Twilight comes to her side.
"Isnt he just perfect…" thought Rarity to herself.
"Having fun?" Asks Twilight
"Why,yes indeed.How is Trixie taking you as her mentor?"
"Shes ok… I suppose,even though shes a bit too respectful with me."
As Twi and Rarity are having a nice little conversation,Spike gets drunk as well…then,song changes to a song that Spike used to sing to Rarity just about every time,and he starts to karaoke. As Spike performs,Rarity is still watching him.
"Doesn’t he have the voice of an angel…?"*sigh*
"Did you say something?" Asks Twi.
"No,nothing!"
"Why are you blushing? Is it too hot in here?"
"Somedrake busted some flames around here… umm…I mean,do you want me to offer you a drink?? Hehe…"
"Well Rarity,what magic trick are you gonna use on him?" Asks Trixie with a grin on her face.
"i…I think im gonna go get some fresh air…" said Rarity as Spike finishes his song,and follows her outside.
"Enjoying the party so far,sweetie?" Asks Spike.
"Umm… yeah… its nice…"
"You seem kinda…"
"Kinda...?"
"Kinda… umm…sad…upset… whats the word… You sure you're ok Rary?"
"Oh…i..uh…did- did I tell you what a great performance you just had? It was for sure one that even Celestia would enjoy...."
"I sure did…" says a known voice from behind them.
"P-princess?? W-what are you doing here?" Said Spike a bit confused.
"Well I heard there was a party that I didn't quite want to miss out on. And I also know about everything that happened today…I wanted to congratulate you on your earlier performance."
"Umm… yeah… thanks I guess…it was kinda bad honestly…"
"Oh no it wasn't,Spike,like Rarity said,I really liked it,especially because It was for your very special somepony." Said Celestia,giving a smile.
Spike and Rarity both blushed.
"Well,ill leave you two alone now."
"Ok Princess. Hey sweetie, shall we go back inside now?"
Rarity,still stunned to see Celestia. "Don’t wake me up…I cant believe her highness was actually here…umm yes,we shouldn't keep the others waiting."
As they return,the music stops and everypony stares at them.
"Why is everypony…?" Spike began to ask,everypony smiling at them. "Umm… I don’t get it…" As Twilight tilts her head upwards. They both look up only to see a mistletoe held by a pink magical aura,it was Trixie…
They both blush. Suddenly, romantic song starts,Spike whispers to Rarity: "Roll with it…" With a grin on his face,grabbing Rarity in a dance pose,while everypony else is watching.
*sigh* "Aren't they just perfect for each other? Said Twi
"Told ya!"*wink* answers Trixie
Everypony is so enchanted by their dance,even Vinyl takes off her glasses.
"Your steps are very precise… have you been practicing?" Asks Rarity
"Hmmm… not really." Celestia watches from outside, Spike seeing her,giving him a wink,followed by spike’s.
"Awww…this is too sweet,even more sweet than strawberry cake." Said Pinkie.
When the dance ends,everypony is cheering. "Wooooo!!!!"
"I just wanted to say, you two are the cutest couple ever!" Said Trixie.
"Exactly!" Said Twi
"Th-thanks… and Spike…thank you for the dance, it was quite unique…" Said Rarity,blushing.
"Anytime sweetie."
Twi drags Spike closer with her magic. "I never thought this will work out between you and Rarity." Said Twi, with a grin on her face.
"Umm…Twi? Do you know who youre talking to? Please! I saw this since we first arrived to ponyville."
"HEY EVERYPONY!!! Yells Pinkie at the microphone. Gather round for the group hug and photo!!"
Everyone gathers in front of the camera,with Rarity and Spike in the middle. Soon the party ends, everyone going back to their homes.
"You sure you don’t wanna stay,you two? There's still some cake left." Asks Pinkie.
"Hmmm… no thanks, we’re good,right sweetie?" Answers Spike.
"Yes… we should really get going,tomorrow is a long day,and I still have so many requests from Manehattan that I need to finish."
"Oh ok! Have a lovely night you two." Said Pinkie, trying not to laugh.
Bwahahahaha!!! Get it? Love-ly??? HAHahahaha!!!!*snort*
"Hehe… pinkie and her puns..." Says Spike,giving a giggle." ‘night Pinks!"
"‘night you two!"
The couple finnaly arrives back at the Boutique.
"Ahhhhh…! Home finnaly! Haven’t partied so hard since… since Pinkie’s last party." Says Spike, throwing himself on the couch.
Rarity gives a sweet giggle.
"Since youre the first candidate at her parties,its no wonder."
"Yup! Those cupcakes she makes are amazing!"
"Hmm...A cup of tea would do right now … im going to make one… want some hot cocoa with marshmallows? Hmmm… something that puts everypony in the mood,I guess… exept sugar."
"Yeah some hot cocoa will do." Said Spike,as he squeaks, stretching on the couch.
"Ahhhh… much better…!"
Rarity comes back with her tea, and hands over Spike’s cup of cocoa.
"Here!"
"Thanks!" Spike takes the cup, as they both smile.
"Well… Today has been…hmm…whats the word… awesome! I mean, we finally got Trixie on our side,I was an egg for 5 minutes…got stunned by her magic,which didn't feel anything to be honest… except I couldn't move at all… well,I guess that’s what I get for being so aggressive." Said Spike,giving a chuckle.
"You got me the scare quite hard back there…"
"Sorry,that shock was quite a shock."
"Shock for both of us… you should ask Fluttershy to check on you tomorrow."
Oh c'mon now…im fine. And if I had any problems, im sure twilight can fix me in a jiffy,since she has a book for everything.But if you want to… I could do that."
"Best be precarious now than regretting later. It feels like it was yesterday…the day we got together…"
"Yeah... I know……I was kinda surprised back then when Pinkie told me what you really feel for me…I wasn't sure you really loved me…until that day at least."
"I wasn't sure about you either,darling…but I really needed to find out…"
"Yeah… when I saw you with Tunderlane,I was sure you’d never love me in the future,and I had to find someone else,which I did,well... for a short time…"
"Yes I remember…when I saw you with Sweetie Belle,I thought the same…that you didn't have that crush on me any more…"
"I always liked you Rarity, I was… well… too shy to tell you directly… and im sorry it had to take that much."
"Aww its not a problem now,darling,we are here now,aren’t we?"
"Yeah…we sure are…"
The moment they began to hug,Spike remembered a certain quote:
