I'm a young alicorn named FreezeFlame my mother is Princess Luna. I never knew my father mother couldn't recall him when I asked. I was raised in the palace by mother and a series of nannies when mother was busy,wich wasn't often she didn't have much to do. She raised me almost nocturnally because her duties took place at night. I didn't like it there was nopony to play with because they all had to sleep at night. Mother taught me all my magic and flying skills. we always played when we could and slept at day unless something important surfaced. I started to grow more and started reading and exploring more. You could say I was watched by the guards they always patrolled during the day and were always tired they were easy to get to sleep. I always looked for other ponies to play with but nopony was out they were all in bed. I always came back to the castle disappointed. When I came back if mother was busy I just went to the library and read. One night wasn't so disappointing. I had just ditched the guards and a herd a mare screaming "Get out of here you little urchin!" I found a white blank flank Pegasus about my age having a door slammed in his face he walked up to me.
"Hey buddy can you spare some bits for homeless pony?" He looked up and his eyes widened. Y-Your majesty I didn't know you know what forget it i'll get by. He started to walk away.
"Wait have you no home young one?" I asked him.
"Who you call'n young you were 6 months after me."
"Oh uh have you no home to return to?"
"Me no I shouldn't be bothering you."
"No I don't mind actually I don't have any friends. Will you be my friend?"

We did every thing together although it was ruff switching to me and mother's sleeping schedule. We eventually got him to sleep like us. We played in the ever free forest at night because there is no other pony to play with so we just mess around there at night. We were inseparable we were the best of friends.
Several years past we'd just graduated the royal knight academy and flight school. Me and Sei were the pride of Cloudsdale that day they threw a parade and everything. Afterwards we went to sugar cube corner and PinkiePie made one of the biggest cakes ponyville had seen in years. "Hey hows the party guys hope it's great it's the biggest thing i've done in years so what do you think huh huh huh?" Pinke asked It was always hard to understand the pink pony she always talked so fast.
"Uh yes thank you miss Pie i'm sure you put a lot of work in to it." Was my reply usually when I talk to her I give my best reply and hope it was relevant to the conversation. Later that night I was staying up late in the library, I had found this interesting book about my mother's past it kept me up I had to keep reading. They were getting into the discussion while they were talking we tried to sneak out. When we opened the door Pinkie poked her head in the door. :Hi prince shouldn't you be in bed with your mom what are you doing Please tell me tell me tell me." Then I herd my aunt's voice
"Yes FreezeFlame please enlighten us." I hid the book in pack hopefully unnoticed.
"I um... uh heh you know sleepless nights uh days and all that." She accepted my answer and she let us go. Though we had guards tailing us I didn't think for a second she trusted me. This was day and the guards were rested and ready to purse which had it harder to get the seclusion i needed. "Toughs guards are still following prince Freeze what did you do?" Sei asked.
"I'll tell you later can you cause a distraction?"
"Hmm i got it follow my lead. HEY PRINCE BET I CAN FLY FASTER THAN YOU ANY DAY OF THE WEAK."
"Ah clever uh YEAH RIGHT I MAY HAVE THICK BONES BUT MY WINGS ARE FAR STRONGER." We took off flying very fast the guard flew after us I went straight in front of Sei we flew in a few circles figure eights patterns to match the wonder bolts. We flew near the trees by that time the guards forgot what exactly what was happening when we got to a thick cluster of trees and I dove in. The plan worked the guards kept following Seifire. I had the privacy I needed I got the book and continued reading. I found the tales of Nightmare moon and how aunt Celestia banished mother to the moon. I was furious. I left the trees and saw Sei still toying with the guards I signaled him to stop and return we went back to the castle and to bed after I found out all I wanted.
I was awoken by mother later that night. "well my boy I herd that you and Seifire went out and gave the guards quiet the chase earlier today."
" Well heh I uh um please I just um it was just a friendly race."
"A race where half the contestants leave?" Boy i'm no fool what you two were doing now."
"Mother no i'm the one who should be angry why did aunt Celestia send to the moon you just wanted some friends that was a cruel thing and you know it!"
"Fool child I said drop this infernal issue you will bring unnecessary bloodshed and fighting with this issue."
"NO mother I don't see why you accept this. You fought because you wanted friends and were punished by being sent to a thousand years of loneliness and still you have little companionship!"

I even set up sanctuary for the still faithful."
"Well that would be nice is the battle training standard."
"Yes yes and your boy and his friend would make powerful generals."
"Yes but numbers can overwhelm so how are we doing in troop numbers?"
"Well I must say we are few but a force to be reckoned with."
"Mother number aren't all it takes Sei and me have taken small armies in training sessions."
"Yeah and were taking it easy on them too!"
"Boys you should be stationed outside. Anyway yes we'll leave immediately."

We eventually arrived at the sanctuary where three ponies who were waiting for the stallion. One of them a unicorn mare with a wand cutie mark. started "Sir the sanctuary faced no problems while you were away."
"Very good Emerald." One of the others a pegasus stallion with a lightning bolt cutie mark looked at me and mother "Sir this is the reason you were gone."
"Yes Lightning." The Third an earth pony with a sword cutie mark said nothing he just bowed as did the other two. We went in side and greeted the small army ready to welcome their princess. We said hi to everyone and before we went to bed from a weary journey. "Children we have you have been loyal to my thousand year old ideals and I thank you now we shall repeat the conquest that failed centuries ago but this time we will SUCCEED!" That roweled the crowd there was loud cheering for the next hour. Mother Sei and I had a hard time sleeping that day.
The next night having our army gathered we going to establish a name for our military. We soon decided a name but first we tried diplomacy we met with Celestia at the half way point of the path between the sanctuary and the castle. We had the meeting just Mother with me and Sei flying the chariot. Celestia ha d just herself and the knights flying her Chariot. Celestia started the negotiation "Luna what is this fool talk of waging war against me I want answers NOW!"
"Sister dear ti's not fool talk I plan to take Equestria From you unless you would surrender right now."
"You plan to do this again? Do you not remember what happened last time you set up this silly conquest?"
"Yes I remember but I did not have the an army to match the caliber of the one I control now."
"No matter what you do I will never surrender to likes of you."
"The likes of me? Dear dear sister other than a small height difference we are the same."
"We are nothing alike you wish for the suffering of all ponies." "
That was Nightmare moon,she was the spirit of my rage this time no rage. Listen i'm not here to make idle chatter surrender or fight those are you options."

" Yes mother I plan to protect you too we will win nothing bad will happen to any of us."
"That's right i'll guard you and Princess Luna with my life."
"We arrived back at the sanctuary and informed everpony there that their life's training would be put to good use. Our first idea was to split the army and attack any strategic position. Each fifth would have one of the generals leading the unit in it's attack. Our main plan was to surround Canterlot. We were to set out at night after the troops were well rested. About half way through the day I was awoken by Celestia. "Aunt Celestia how did you get in here?"
"Calm yourself young colt I am not Celestia." The Mare in front of me changed in to Crysilis queen of the changelings.
"Crysilis what do you want there's nothing for you here."
" Why my boy I believe there is you plan to march on the capital of Equestria and I have some extra troops."
"Whats in it for you?"
"I want a forth of the land you win in this war i'm tired of the small amount we currently have. Is it a deal?"
"Out of the question. I know enough about Changelings to know that they never honor a deal."
"Wise choice how ever we planed to march anyway all you did was ensure the you now have double the enemies who can cause confusion and betrayal. She left and later it was time to march. Lightning Dash attacked ponyville wich a difficult assignment considering the high level unicorns that protect it. Emerald Shimmer was assigned to Appleloosa wich was also a challenge because of the buffalo ready to help in the fighting. The unnamed earth pony was ready to attack Manehattan. Sei was told to march on Dodge Junction. And I was charged with attacking Cloudsdale. It was the most dangerous task considering it's right over the force we wish to conquer but a must have position. And that's why we had an impossible time conquering the cloud city. We lost the fight were barely defeated. We took many but they did too. They killed to many of us and chased us out with the retreat. Even fighting in the front lines I was badly injured. They had advanced training and quick fliers the wonder bolts even helped with a barrage of kicks from above. Spitfire aimed manly for me causing many of my injuries. When we got back I herd the results of the other battles. Emerald had been successful in her assault. But her main concern was my condition.
"Oh my Ser FreezeFlame what happened?"
"Yes my son I want to know how you were defeated did the Changelings attack you too?"
"Th- The changelings attacked?"
"Yes the changelings joined the fighting at Manehatten and caused Bloodhoof's to fail in his take over."

"That's not my real name but i'd prefer you just call me that."
Sei came in with his army looking very pleased with him self. "Hey guys where's Freeze I want to ask how many... Whoa Freeze what happened you look terrible."
"I was defeated the wonder bolts are more than show ponies heh."
We were still waiting for Lighting Dash. The sanctuary leader said "That boy is either dead or celebrating." Just as that was said he flew through the door.
"Yeah we won the Lunar republic going to do this the night is ours." The day was a fairly good one we won most of the battles. That night I was awoken by Sei who told me that the changelings had invaded the sanctuary. The had killed many but me and the other generals quickly killed all the changelings. Mother started having second thoughts on the conquest. "FreezeFlame dear i'm beginning to think this was a very bad thing."
"Mother we can't give up we will win."
"Yeah Princess Freeze here will pull us through no doubt."
"Thanks sei."
"Well my boy we have a badly weakened army how can we do this."
"Let me think hmm... I got we have enough troops for one more attack. We go for broke we win or die."

We decided Lighting Dash,a unit of pegasus ponies,and Seifire will fight the wonderbolts in the air keeping them off of the ground troops,While goes on Me,Bloodhoof,and all the earth ponies would attack the main force directly while unicorns provided support and healing. We agreed on the plan and got ready to march on Canterlot. There was one last confrontation. I acted as the representative for my army I met Celestia in the middle with Shining armor and Queen Crysilis.
"Were my boys good house guests FreezeFlame?"Crysilis asked in a cocky voice.
"They were fun but I had to kill every last one."
"You still persist on fighting me boy you can't win this." Celestia said strongly.
"We will not talk down to are enemies we'll let our victory speak for itself. Shinning armor said walking back to his army sent from the Crystal Empire. I went back to my army as did Crysilis we were ready to win the battle and the very short war. Everypony charged and all of my generals took their places.Me and Bloodhoof were destroying the front lines we left a brigade of ponies to protest the healers from the changelings who tried to flank from the back. With my team destroying the front lines they couldn't spare troops to protect their healers from the changelings who attacked both armies. Crysilis posed as me for my superior abilities and to confuse others and attack anything that moved. When it was looking up for us I saw trails of thunder clouds trailing across the sky. It was time for Lightning and Sei to go to work having almost completely destroyed the enemy pegasi. They put up a good fight the wonder bolts were almost a perfect match for the two. The battle was going our way then a trail of fire spread through the sky. I told blood to take it from here. There was enough healers to ensure he wood not fall. Spitfire was charging for Sei when I intervened by blocking her attack. We were eye-to-eye with her."Hey didn't I teach you your lesson yesterday?"
"This time you fall." She fought unarmed so I would do the same. I sheathed my weapons and proceeded to hoof-to-hoof combat. We traded ferocious blows punching and kicking. Eventually she was overwhelmed and dropped from the sky. Sei and Lighting finished off the other four and our attention was on the main ground force. Victory was all but certain. Me and Sei decided to make it an overwhelming victory. We ordered our troops to retreat,while they left me and Sei flew higher and higher,when our army was gone me and Sei Flew down. We went faster and faster and broke the sound barrier. Then a huge wave of fire and frost burned and froze the enemies.After the dust cleared it was just me and Sei on the Battle ground chard and frozen bodies lie everywhere. I approached Celestia and said "This is it surrender or die your army has been undeniably defeated." "I-I I surrender yours was the superior force.
I flew up and addressed my ponies "PONIES WE HAVE WON THE NEW LUNAR REPUBLIC STANDS THE VICTORS!"

Emerald Shimmer was assigned to Appleloosa wich was also a challenge because of the buffalo ready to help in the fighting. The unnamed earth pony was ready to attack Manehattan. Sei was told to march on Dodge Junction. And I was charged with attacking Cloudsdale. It was the most dangerous task considering it's right over the force we wish to conquer but a must have position. And that's why we had an impossible time conquering the cloud city. We lost the fight were barely defeated. We took many but they did too. They killed to many of us and chased us out with the retreat. Even fighting in the front lines I was badly injured. They had advanced training and quick fliers the wonder bolts even helped with a barrage of kicks from above. Spitfire aimed manly for me causing many of my injuries. When we got back I herd the results of the other battles. Emerald had been successful in her assault. But her main concern was my condition.
"Oh my Ser FreezeFlame what happened?"
"Yes my son I want to know how you were defeated did the Changelings attack you too?"
"Th- The changelings attacked?"
"Yes the changelings joined the fighting at Manehatten and caused Bloodhoof's to fail in his take over."
"Bloodhoof?"
"That's not my real name but i'd prefer you just call me that."
Sei came in with his army looking very pleased with him self. "Hey guys where's Freeze I want to ask how many... Whoa Freeze what happened you look terrible."
"I was defeated the wonder bolts are more than show ponies heh."
We were still waiting for Lighting Dash. The sanctuary leader said "That boy is either dead or celebrating." Just as that was said he flew through the door.
"Yeah we won the Lunar republic going to do this the night is ours." The day was a fairly good one we won most of the battles. That night I was awoken by Sei who told me that the changelings had invaded the sanctuary. The had killed many but me and the other generals quickly killed all the changelings. Mother started having second thoughts on the conquest. "FreezeFlame dear i'm beginning to think this was a very bad thing."
"Mother we can't give up we will win."
"Yeah Princess Freeze here will pull us through no doubt."
"Thanks sei."
"Well my boy we have a badly weakened army how can we do this."
"Let me think hmm... I got we have enough troops for one more attack. We go for broke we win or die."
"My that seems drastic." While the idea wasn't the smartest the others loved it they even started chanting "LONG LIVE THE NEW LUNAR REPUBLIC." That night we held a strategy session. We decided Lighting Dash,a unit of pegasus ponies,and Seifire will fight the wonderbolts in the air keeping them off of the ground troops,While goes on Me,Bloodhoof,and all the earth ponies would attack the main force directly while unicorns provided support and healing. We agreed on the plan and got ready to march on Canterlot. There was one last confrontation. I acted as the representative for my army I met Celestia in the middle with Shining armor and Queen Crysilis.
"Were my boys good house guests FreezeFlame?"Crysilis asked in a cocky voice.
"They were fun but I had to kill every last one."
"You still persist on fighting me boy you can't win this." Celestia said strongly.
"We will not talk down to are enemies we'll let our victory speak for itself. Shinning armor said walking back to his army sent from the Crystal Empire. I went back to my army as did Crysilis we were ready to win the battle and the very short war. Everypony charged and all of my generals took their places.Me and Bloodhoof were destroying the front lines. But the battle started turning for the worst a brigade of changelings attacked the healers and killed Emerald Shimmer. I was enraged and attacked the changelings to protect the healers. When I left booldhoof was overwhelmed and was defeated,which made it worse. Then the wonder bolts came and started attacking Sei and Lightning. I went to help but I was to late to save Lightning and the got the best of him. I went to help Sei and we defeated the wonder bolts. I was worried because we only fought four,while I was thinking Spitfire came and stabbed Sei and he fell to the ground. "SEIFIRE" I cried as i watched him fall. Before I could try to catch him Spitfire kicked me to the ground. All I could do is fall my friends were dead I destroyed their lives doing this,and the realization like the ground hit harder than anything i've ever felt all was lost Celestia had won indisputably. I got up and looked around bodies everywhere. I was clouded with anger I charged at Celestia but only to be stopped by Shinning armor's sword. As I started to bleed out she said "Just think of the wasted potential you had." as she struck the final blow. All I did only hurt those around me we had lost the New Lunar Republic failed.
