Applejacks vision turned blurry as she felt the tears well up in her eyes, a slight tinge of anger was present as she yelled back.
"Why do y'all not approve of me an' mah coltfriend being together? I love him" Her voice cracked and she started to sob, no longer able to hold back the tears.
"Sugarcube, it's not a stallion-- it's a tree!" Ol' Granny Smith exclaimed. Big Mac nodded in agreement. "It doesn't love you, he is not alive. It is just a appletree."
"Lies, all lies" Applejack turned her head towards the orchard. "Don't listen to them sucarcube, they don't understand ya like ah do" she yelled to a very special tree at the edge of the farm.
Big Mac and Granny shared an worried expession. It had been over two months since they first found out about the little romance that Applejack had developed, They didn't pay too much attention to it in the beginning, but when they noticed how she would sneak out at night only to be found near the tree in the morning, action had to be taken.
"Applejack, we all love our appletrees, but to actually love them is...wierd". Granny said with concern clear in her voice. "You need to get help".
"Y'all only say that 'couse you are jelly of our true love, something you never experienced with granpa'". Applejack shot back with venom clear in her voice.
Granny Smith was stunned, never had Applejack said anything like that before.
"Enough" Big Mac suddenly exclaimed, "you are no longer allowed to see that tree, I will handle that part of the orchard when we harvest apples tomorrow! That tree has bad influence on you and I won't tolerate you behaving this way to granny!" The tone in his voice made it clear that there were no arguing the point. He turned to the old pony that had started to cry by now and helped her get inside.
Applejack was stunned.
How could they do that to her? How could they forbid her to spend time with the love of her life? She knew loving a tree was a bit unorthodox, but one does no simply deny what the heart wants. She needed that tree, She wanted to feel the strong bark across
her, the branches embracing her and the leaves slowly stroking her orange fur.
With a tears in her eyes, she recalled how she first met the muskular jockey.
It was a cool spring evening, and the sun was just about to set. Applejack had just finished
Applejack made sure to make as little noice as possible as she went down the stairs from her room, not wanting to wake up her brother. After a five minute walk she found herself at the edge of the left side of the orchard, a place where she had spent a lot of time lately.
The moon shined down on the perfect creature that stood before her, the moisture on the leaves reflected some of the moonlight creating a blue glow that left Applejack stunned with amazement. Nothing her family could say would make her leave this wonderful being.
"I did not forget you" she said, poking around with her hoof on ground.
"It's okay babe, i will always love you" she said with a slighty more masculine voice.
"Oh Ted, they don't understand us" others may find her affection to the tree wierd, but to her the love was as clear as crystal water.
"Babe, it doesn't mather what they say, as long as we are together, nopony will be able to bring us down
Applejack was suddenly right next to the barky lover. She just loved how his tuch made her shiver, How the feeling of his bark to her skin made her feel so complete.
"Lets run away, and start a new life in a new town " she sighed happily as she slowly moved her face closer to his bark.
No response came from the tree as she starting to brutally make out with it.
Granny Smith slowly turned away as she saw the event unfold.
"Dear Celestia, what did I do wrong?"
