Everything changed after Sunset ran into Twilight. Sunset had once cared nothing for friendship, and the lavender mare had left her with five friends. Some time has passed since then, however, and there are some thoughts that she just can't get rid of. She loves living where she's at, but part of her knows she doesn't belong there. Thoughts about her parents have been becoming more and more frequent, as has been a longing to go back. Her friends support her decision, and she is going to go back...

On the Equestrian side, things are trying to find a new normal. Twilight has been a princess for a while, and her duties are still up in the air. She doesn't want to leave Ponyville, she refuses to. The sheer fact of what she is actually the princess of is still eluding her. Magic? Friendship? The questions are there, but she still doesn't have an answer for any of it.

She hopes that a visit to see her brother, and her favorite foalsitter, might lead to something. Their advice is important to her, though she had put off asking them while she continues to think about it herself.

When the two ponies, Sunset and Twilight, meet? Things are always changing. Neither of the two thought they would ever see each other again. Events don't always go the way that ponies think, though.
