The Filly's Rite of Passage
“But Daaaadyy!”
The filly's teary nasal whine pricked Filthy's heart, nearly swaying him, but bills were bills. In order to give his little princess everything she wanted, he had to keep up business relations, especially in light of what he'd had to spend for the pink filly's cuteceanera. Having tried everything she knew over the past week, the filly concluded that nothing more would sway him. She pouted an injured pout, the kind she'd never let anypony but her daddy see, but he couldn't be bothered to pay her any more attention.
The prissy foal had longed for the day when she'd be thought of as “special,” hoping and believing that then, finally, he'd give her what she really wanted, time, attention, love beyond the slew of gifts she received.
Well, she consoled herself, she was still better than the orphaned blank flank. It just burned Diamond Tiara up that she didn't realize it, that Apple Bloom could be happy and have friends even without parents, yet she, Diamond Tiara, was consigned to being hated by all but Silver Spoon and, in the end, mostly ignored by her mother and father.
Seeing the Apple filly’s hickish grin as she took notes on cutie marks in class earlier had made Diamond cringe. In truth Diamond Tiara had been the same way before she got her cutie mark. Now, however, things weren’t turning out how she’d hoped.
The time finally came later that afternoon for her cuteceanera. The party itself was passable. Pinkie Pie parties were the best, after all, and it was no less than Diamond knew she deserved.
The imbecile Snails killed Cakie the cake without her go ahead, but that had it's advantage in that she was able to use it as an excuse to expel him before the traditional thank you.
Meanwhile, oh how she relished being special while other foals weren't! Diamond knew that none of them deserved anything she couldn't have as long as she was somehow better than them. She always knew she was better, of course, but the visible reminder of her regal cutie mark validated her, proof positive that she was and would always be better, equal in every way to royalty (and superior still in her opinion).
Everything went great until the orange and white non-Earth blank flanks showed their faces and Princess Celestia's spoiled pupil flung her lies, making the superior filly look the fool and, so, slink quietly away to perch on the staircase where she sulked and glared at the un-special trio.
“Can I get everypony's attention!!” an overenthusiastic overly-pink emcee called to the party guests.
The lights dimmed, and a spotlight shone on Pinkie Pie.
“We've finally come to the most special part of the super special filly's special daay,” she drew out the word, building up anticipatory excitement, “the young mare’s rite of passage and the traditionaaal thank yooou!!” Pinkie nearly shouted.
Oh no! Diamond Tiara wasn't ready, she thought to herself. Not yet. She'd been anxious about it all week, and now, suddenly, she had to face it after having been publicly humiliated.
Suddenly, mercilessly, the spotlight shone directly on her. She tried to mask her anxiety with a brave smile.
“Daddy,” she whimpered softly, but she began to walk down the stairs to meet her fate, the fate of every little filly who was as privileged as she was, to receive the gifts and warm wishes of the town upon receiving the mark of what made her special.
She reminded herself that that's what this was all about. No matter what sorry excuse for cutie marks the three blank flanks would someday receive, none of their daddies or lack of daddies could ever afford the extravagance that she enjoyed now, but if others were to recognize that she truly deserved such a cuteceanera and the gifts from each of them that she would soon open, then she had to complete the rite of passage and the traditional thank you.
She deserved it all already with hardly a word of thanks, she knew, but they didn't know that. They selfishly refused to acknowledge it, and, ever so unfairly, Diamond Tiara had to win their respect twice, first, naturally, for the mere fact that she was superior, and again by condescending to their level with this debasing, moronic, not to mention icky, ritual.
The pink filly reached the center of the room, swallowed her fear, and composed herself to the superior posture and snooty indifference with which she usually carried herself.
“Earlier today, the honored filly received her very first, and very beautiful, I might add, saddle,” Pinkie flattered dramatically. “I see many of you fillies have worn your very own saddles as a show of solidarity for her now as, for the very first time in her young life,” Pinkie sang the last two words with romance and nostalgia, “Diamond Tiara will begin her departure from foalhood into the life of a young mare as she gets mounted!!”
The room cheered and clopplauded, and suddenly Diamond Tiara felt an odd mix of nausea and the high that came with the admiration of her captive audience. They did recognize her specialness finally.
“Unfortunately Mr. Rich can't be here today to do the honors, but we have a veeery talented guest with us for the occasion, the handsome, the tender, the.. sensual,” Pinkie's voice sounded sultry for a moment and she giggled and swooned, “the one and only dashing deflower-er, Pokeeey Pieeerce!”
Soft piano music began as another spotlight shone on Pierce. The stallion looked tenderly at the young filly, fully familiar with how she must feel at that moment. Every guest was silent as he approached Diamond Tiara slowly, completely relaxed.
Losing her steady form, Diamond shrank a little and let out a high pitched, unintentional neigh, her nerves getting the better of her for a moment before she pursed her lips tightly and looked up timidly into the soft eyes of the white-maned, blue-coated unicorn stallion.
Everything about him from his soothing color to his heart and safety pin cutie mark whispered that it would be alright.
Pierce bowed his head nobly and offered her his hoof, as if asking her to dance. The filly hesitantly accepted, entranced and blushing, placing her small hoof inside his. With that he swept her close to him like a soft breeze carries a falling petal, held her facing him, and leaned forward to give her a slow, chaste kiss on the forehead.
He didn't stop however. Like silk his lips moved across her, kissing her cheek, her neck, then the opposite side of her neck, her other cheek and her left ear where he nibbled softly and exhaled warmly, causing it to twitch. With that, the small pink filly softened.
This, she thought, wasn’t so bad.
Diamond Tiara was conscious of the gazes of her peers and the adult ponies of Ponyville upon them. It pleased her and frightened her at the same time that they all watched, saw her as the special filly she was, but also as somepony completely vulnerable.
Cradling her with one hoof, his other ran tenderly and confidently down her small body, caressed her flank, and imbued her with the same confidence it possessed. She shivered and sighed, and, though she remained a little self conscious still, Diamond Tiara relaxed further.
Pokey Pierce met her wide-eyed gaze, returning it with his own half-lidded one, and finally planted a gentle kiss upon the filly’s lips.
He paused to whisper so only she heard.
“Little one,” his accent was light but distinct and sounded as though he might have come from Maredrid, “today you become a young mare. Do not worry. It will not hurt long, and then it will feel very.. very good if you let it.”
Diamond Tiara swallowed, a bit of her nervousness resurfacing, but she nodded, and Pierce’s hoof moved gently between her stifles, closer and closer to her young nethers.
“Now, Diamond Tiara,” his voice caressed her name, “I’m going to invite your flower to bloom for everyone. You can close your eyes and relax if you wish,” Pokey suggested, sensing the filly was more nervous than curious, needing to relax rather than observe.
Diamond did just that.
“You are surrounded by ponies who care about you.”
The intended effect was to help the little filly feel less self conscious, but it backfired, and her eyes opened. Oh well. He’d tried. The best he could hope for was to bring her pleasure now.
