Chapters Falling in Love All Over Again
I finally could stop carrying the luggage when we got to her new house. It was a nice house with three windows, an upstairs, a basement, and a yard with flowers. As we went into the house, I couldn't stop staring at her smile. I finally got to rest and have a conversation with her. The first thing I did, of course, was introduced myself with:
"My name if FlutterLights."
"Hey! I'm Melody Beat."
After that, there was an awkward silence. She went back to unpacking her bags. As she was doing that, I noticed her cutie mark. It was a picture of three shoe prints as if they were from walking.
"Judging by your cutie mark, are you a jogger?"
"Ha. You're funny. I like that. Of course not! I'm one of the finest dancers in Equestria! Judging by your personality, you must be a comedian?"
At least she had a sense of humor.
"Nope. I'm actually a songwriter and DJ at the local clubs."
"Awesome. Can you dance?"
I had no idea of where she was going with this. I decided to answer her question.
"Ummmm... yeah. Why?"
"We could perform together at the Hearts and Hooves Day festival!"
My heart sunk with a nervousness, but yet... sunk with a little bit of delight. I finally get to perform with her. It was time for me to be the next move.
"So... you want to go to the festival with me and hang out before we perform?"
"Umm... sure... I guess."
The way she said that as I walked out the door made me think that she was not all that into me. The only thing in my mind right now was, "It's a date."

Chapter 3: This Time is Different
As I walked out the door to go meet her, I made sure I had everything. I was practicing my singing on the way to her house. There was a note on her door when I got there. It said: "Dear FlutterLights, I went to the festival early to help set up the stage. I hope you can make it. Sincerely, Melody Beat "
I was a little ashamed it didn't say, "Love, Melody Beat" at the end of the note, but I didn't worry too much about a little thing like that. I walked into the festival and headed towards the center stage. The moment I saw her talking with another guy, I couldn't move anymore. I managed to drag my depressed body to the corner of a building.
I sat there quietly thinking about this whole thing. I've been through many break-ups... but to see that she likes somepony else, felt different to me. I just sat there watching everypony else with their special somepony. A few minutes later, somepony tapped me on the back. I turned around to see Melody Beat standing there.
"Why didn't you show up sooner?"
"What do you mean? Why don't you hang out with your special somepony?"
"Huh?"
"I guess you found someone else that loved you. I have been here working slowly to get you to like me, but I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore!"
"Him? He was just the stage director. I was just asking him questions."
My eyes grew huge because I just told her my feelings for her, and she never was dating anyone else.
"I wouldn't just replace you like that FlutterLights. You're funny, smart, charming, and a great musician."
"Thanks. I have one question to ask you. Will you be my special somepony?"
"I will be glad to be your special somepony."
We sang an amazing song at the concert. Musical notes and footsteps left and right! I was glad she would be staying in Ponyville. After the song, she gave me a kiss on the cheek. That kiss made my smile grow big. Finally, I had a special somepony that wouldn't leave me. I hope everypony else has a special somepony for their Hearts and Hooves Day too!

Chapter 1: Here it Goes Again
I finally have finished putting up the banner for this year's Hearts and Hooves Day Bash for Ponyville. For every nail I put up was a remembrance for every mare that I have lost. It's not like they died or anything, it's just complicated. There were lots of heartbreaks and lots of long-distant relationships that didn't work out. After these five break-ups, I've never wanted to fall in love again. Everything was perfect for the celebration, but Pinkie asked me to hang up posters by the train station.
My feet were hurting from all the dancing from my recent concert. I am one who creates music and is a DJ at local clubs. Many of my fans are attracted to me, but I just don't feel that special spark with them. I finally made it to the train station with the tape and tons of posters. It didn't help that a train pulled in, and I had to work with a ton of other chatting ponies and smoke from the train itself.
There was this one poster that would not stay on correctly. I had to put more than six nails in it! After finally getting it to stay, I turned around. The moment I turned around was the moment that changed my life forever. I saw a mare come out, and it wasn't any ordinary mare. Her purple and lime green mane flowed in the wind. Her skin reflected off Celestia's light. I loved the way her eyes glistened like the stars in space.
I felt a sudden worry when my heart started beating. It could only mean one thing: I was in love.
I never wanted to fall in love again, but I couldn't fight my temptations to talk to her. I had to pause a couple times to think: What am I going to say? Will she think I'm charming? What if she rejects me? What if... At that moment, she called out to me saying, "Excuse me Mister, but could you tell me which way is Ponyville's town hall? My hoof shook as I pointed the way. The next thing I said, not thinking at all, was, "Could I be of any assistance? I have been in this town a long time." She politely allowed me to take her luggage. The only thing on my mind was her, and if this who relationship and then break-up thing is going to happen again...
