The Haunted
Chapter 2 "Move In Day"
Previous ChapterThe Haunted
Yesterday, Haven and Raven found a house that Haven fell in love with, but her twin sister was skeptical. The next morning, Haven immediately started packing, as they have already purchased the house. "Come on Raven! I need help packing," Haven shouted to her half-awake sister. Raven grunted as she turned in her bed, and sat up.
"Okay, okay, I'm up..." Raven grunted as she got up from her bed, and trotted downstairs. Her sister had already packed six boxes of furniture, and three boxes of her things. "Dear Celestia Haven! How much have you even packed?!" Raven asked her sister. Eyes glued to the boxes.
"Oh just my stuff, the bathroom stuff, half of the kitchen stuff, and about a third of the living room. Now can you help please?" Haven asked her sister. Raven nodded and got an empty box. As she laid a lamp carefully in the box, Haven unplugged the television, and put it in a fairly large box. After they finally packed, Haven had rented a moving cart, and they put their boxes inside the back. Raven drove the whole way to the manor.
"Oh, I am so excited!" Haven remarked, a huge smile lay on her face. Raven reluctantly nodded, due to the fact that the vibes that they both received yesterday was not good, nor joyous. When they finally got to their new house's driveway, Raven pulled in and stopped the cart.
"Time to unpack," Raven sighed, closing her cart door behind her. As Haven squealed with excitement, Raven rolled her eyes, and looked up at an upstairs window. What she saw, left her frozen for about thirty seconds.
"Uh, Haven!" She shouted for her sister. As Haven came up next to her, Raven pointed up at the upstairs window she had just saw. "Haven, a stallion, it was..." Raven paused, paralyzed at her illusion, or so she thought was an illusion. Haven rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"Christ the Lord, Raven!" Haven remarked, and trotted over to get a box. Raven sighed in disappointment of herself. She thought she saw something. She knew she saw something. She didn't allow herself to go along with her stubborn sister. Raven wasn't in denial at all, but she knew that deep inside, Haven was.
"Uh..." Raven paused again, and just decided to bring in the boxes. Their neighbors were also skeptical, but they believed Raven's sightings, feelings, and complete uncertainty. They knew she wasn't insane, but it was clear as glass that Haven wasn't going back to having a landlord anymore.
"Rave, you okay?" Haven asked. Concerned for her twin. Raven nodded and continued pushing boxes inside. Haven rolled her eyes and continued to do what she has been.
That night, Raven and Haven had finished fixing up the house, and Raven was watching television. As Haven was reading a book. Everything was going great ever since this morning. Raven was afraid that this house was going to make her and her sister's life a living Hades. But she didn't want to say it around Haven. She knew that she would make her upset and mad. After all, Haven did pay for the house.
It was almost time they should have gotten to bed, and just as Raven laid on her bed, she heard a whisper. "Raven..." It spoke transparently. Raven's eyes widened, but her mouth didn't open. Her mouth felt like it was being covered by a hoof. But just as she blinked, she could move her mouth once again. But little did she realize what was going to welcome her and Haven the next morning.
