The apartment they have lived in for nine years, it was falling apart. It was fine for two years, but it all went downhill from there. "Raven, I'm tired of staying in an apartment, paying rent every month! We need a house of our own!" Haven complained. Raven trotted downstairs, and turned to her sister. "Do you think I want to live here anymore either? Of course I wanna move out as well! But do we have enough money?" Raven asked her similar looking twin sister. They were both earth ponies, their eyes were greyish-black, and a dark-grey coat. The only difference was their straight manes' colors. Raven's was orange and black, and Haven's was dark raspberry and black. Haven shrugged at her sister and decided to go to the bank and see how much they've saved in the past seven years they've wanted to move out. After fifteen minutes, Haven returned from the bank. "Praise the Glory! We have enough money to move out and buy a new house, without a landlord!" Haven shouted in joy. Raven's mouth was left agape and she smiled. "Yay! Let's start hunting, like, now!" Raven's mouth spouted out of joy and happiness. Haven nodded, and they set out together to meet with their residential agent. As they entered the door of their agent's office, the mare greeted them with a warm smile. "Hello, girls, what brings you here?" She asked the twins. Not hesitating to respond, Raven opened her mouth to speak. "We finally raised enough money to move out of our crappy apartment!" Raven replied to the agent. Haven nodded as the agent told them to take a seat. "Girls, I have a few houses I've had in mind that the market has had on there that I believe would be perfect for you!" The agent said, spreading out three pictures of the houses. But one, Haven's eyes boggled at. "Raven, what about this one?" Haven asked, hoping her sister liked it as much as she did. Raising an eyebrow, Raven scanned the picture with her eyes over and over. She spotted an unusual, translucent figure standing in the field outside of the house. "I don't know, Haven. I mean, look at that figure," Raven whispered in her sister's ear as she pointed at the figure. "Probably just minor problems with the film, or your eyes!" Haven teased. "I think this house looks great, can we check it out?" Haven asked the agent. "Certainly, come along, girls!" The agent assured, and led them to the taxi wagon outside. Haven smiled and didn't hesitate to follow the mare. Raven was reluctant, yes, but she can't leave her younger twin sister alone. It felt as if the agent was hiding something, but what? "Haven, you are surely brave! We are mediums, honey, what is you get bad vibes from this place!?" Raven asked her sister. Haven turned her head to her sister, and gave an annoyed expression to her. "Rave, this is getting old, quit it!" Haven scolded her sister. She continued to talk with the residential agent, but the further the taxi drove, the more bad vibes Raven received. "Right here, sir!" The agent said, and paid the stallion driving the taxi wagon. As her and Haven stepped out of the cart, Raven had the upmost reluctance to even stepping hoof on the property. "Haven, I'm getting super bad vibes! Maybe this isn't a good idea," Raven whispered in Haven's ear. Her eyebrows expressed her mood as she replied. "Raven Blackstone! Honestly, this is getting old! Stop trying to get me to not check this place out! It looks good and we would finally get our own house! Come on, now, think about it!" Haven replied sternly to her sister. Raven rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Fine, but when you get the bad vibes, too, don't come galloping to me!" Raven replied. The twin mares followed their agent as they entered the manor. "The finest place in Ponyville!" The agent assured them both. Haven's eyes glistened as she boggled at all of the decorations in the house. But then, she stopped, and jerked her head back a bit. "What the-why am I getting strong vibes from this room?" Haven asked Raven. Her sister raised her eyebrows, and smirked. "I don't even need to say it, but it'll make me feel better: I told you so!" Raven teased as she put a hoof around her sister. Haven rolled her eyes and smacked her sister's hoof off of her. "I'm sure their...uh...good vibes..." Haven assured her sister, but in her tone of voice, Raven could tell she too was frightened. "Uh-huh, sure," Raven pressed as the followed the agent. Haven rolled her eyes and shook her head, and followed the two other mares. But she should have trusted her vibes, because somepony was watching them this whole time. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 "Move In Day" //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 "Move In Day" The Haunted Yesterday, Haven and Raven found a house that Haven fell in love with, but her twin sister was skeptical. The next morning, Haven immediately started packing, as they have already purchased the house. "Come on Raven! I need help packing," Haven shouted to her half-awake sister. Raven grunted as she turned in her bed, and sat up. "Okay, okay, I'm up..." Raven grunted as she got up from her bed, and trotted downstairs. Her sister had already packed six boxes of furniture, and three boxes of her things. "Dear Celestia Haven! How much have you even packed?!" Raven asked her sister. Eyes glued to the boxes. "Oh just my stuff, the bathroom stuff, half of the kitchen stuff, and about a third of the living room. Now can you help please?" Haven asked her sister. Raven nodded and got an empty box. As she laid a lamp carefully in the box, Haven unplugged the television, and put it in a fairly large box. After they finally packed, Haven had rented a moving cart, and they put their boxes inside the back. Raven drove the whole way to the manor. "Oh, I am so excited!" Haven remarked, a huge smile lay on her face. Raven reluctantly nodded, due to the fact that the vibes that they both received yesterday was not good, nor joyous. When they finally got to their new house's driveway, Raven pulled in and stopped the cart. "Time to unpack," Raven sighed, closing her cart door behind her. As Haven squealed with excitement, Raven rolled her eyes, and looked up at an upstairs window. What she saw, left her frozen for about thirty seconds. "Uh, Haven!" She shouted for her sister. As Haven came up next to her, Raven pointed up at the upstairs window she had just saw. "Haven, a stallion, it was..." Raven paused, paralyzed at her illusion, or so she thought was an illusion. Haven rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Christ the Lord, Raven!" Haven remarked, and trotted over to get a box. Raven sighed in disappointment of herself. She thought she saw something. She knew she saw something. She didn't allow herself to go along with her stubborn sister. Raven wasn't in denial at all, but she knew that deep inside, Haven was. "Uh..." Raven paused again, and just decided to bring in the boxes. Their neighbors were also skeptical, but they believed Raven's sightings, feelings, and complete uncertainty. They knew she wasn't insane, but it was clear as glass that Haven wasn't going back to having a landlord anymore. "Rave, you okay?" Haven asked. Concerned for her twin. Raven nodded and continued pushing boxes inside. Haven rolled her eyes and continued to do what she has been. That night, Raven and Haven had finished fixing up the house, and Raven was watching television. As Haven was reading a book. Everything was going great ever since this morning. Raven was afraid that this house was going to make her and her sister's life a living Hades. But she didn't want to say it around Haven. She knew that she would make her upset and mad. After all, Haven did pay for the house. It was almost time they should have gotten to bed, and just as Raven laid on her bed, she heard a whisper. "Raven..." It spoke transparently. Raven's eyes widened, but her mouth didn't open. Her mouth felt like it was being covered by a hoof. But just as she blinked, she could move her mouth once again. But little did she realize what was going to welcome her and Haven the next morning.
