Don't cry over a cut

"Spike, could you be a dear and take this box upstairs" said Rarity, in more like a command than a request.
Yea! because you asked soooo nicely! thought Spike. But he faked a smile and responded "Sure Rarity anything for you".
Spike griped the [heavy] box at its base and lifted with his back. The young dragon could barely lift such a thing. God! what did rarity put in this thing, thought Spike climbing the first stare.
He looked back to were rarity was sitting, calmly drinking tea and going over her notes. Shaking his head to get a beat of sweat out of his eye, he took another step, then another, then another, and another until he was basically drowning in sweat and breathing heavily as if he had just finished a marathon. Filling as if he was going to faint Spike stopped and looked down to see his progress.
He was only on the 5th stare!
"Buck me" whispered Spike under his breath.
"whats that dear?" asked Rarity, not even looking up from her notes.
Spike turned his head around and shot rarity a mean look.
"Oh nothing" he said, rolling his eyes.
She didn't even bother to say "ok" or "all right then", No! she was way too busy reading! Gods what a bitch, thought Spike.
Over the past year Spike had given up on his crush with Rarity, realizing that she didn't treat him right. The only reason he was at the Boutique was because twilight was busy in Canterlot working with the other princesses and the rest of the girls we're doing their own thing.
Upon seeing the Dragon at her door Rarity was more than surprised and Spike felt hopeful that she might had changed over the past year since the last time he came over.
He Was Wrong!!
It had seemed as if Rarity had not changed at all. All morning she had the poor drake lift heavy boxes up and down those Luna forsaken sta~
"Spike! watch what your doing!" Yelled Rarity.
Spikes foot slipped on one of sweetie Belles toy dolls and he along with the heavy box tumbled down the stairs until Spikes came head first into the floor.
After the dust settled Spike pulled himself up. But he noticed a familiar red liquid on his claw.... blood.
Upon landing Spike cut himself on a nail and it started to burn. Spike, with two fingers touched the cut...
"Ah!!" He Yelped.
"Spike! what have you done!".
Said dragon looked up to see a very angry Rarity standing over him.
"R~rarity I cut myself, see" he showed her the cut "can I have a bandaid please".
Rarity swatted away his claw, Spike yelled at the pain. He begin to cry.
"I don't care about that, you broke my precious glass egg collection!" She exclaimed, picking up a piece of glass.
Spike was stunned. Never before had somepony hurt him in that way before. He felt betrayed.
Spike knew that she was rude to him and treated him like dirt at times but this... this was going too far!
Without another word said Spike ran out of the boutique and ran towards the Everfree forest.
Rarity didn't even try to stop him...

Past the thick trees of the Everfree forest and deep in the woods a loan figure silently cried over the betrayal of an old friend. That figure was Spike. After the events that occurred back at Raritys place, Spike didn't want to go back to the library or to Ponyville for that matter. He just wanted to get away.
It was almost unbelievable. The mare who he treated like a goddess, the mare who he worshipped the very ground she trotted on, the mare who he did everything for.... Hit him. She cared more about some stupid glass egg than Spike.
All those years.... wasted for nothing. All the back breaking work, all the hours spent, and all for what? To be stabbed in the back!
Spike didn't really care how Rarity felt about him anymore. He gave up on her long ago. But the fact that she hurt him, was unforgivable.
"Why Rarity *sniff* why.." whispered Spike.
All Spike was looking for was love. And she didn't have to love him right away, they could build on the relationship. All he wanted was a chance. But something changed in Rarity. She was no longer the element of generosity. No! all she was now was a jerk!
But if that made Rarity a jerk... Then that made Spike the stupid idiot to follow the jerk.
"Maybe I should just go back to the librar~"
Spike was cut off by a flash of light in front of him. The light illuminated the dark forest and nearly scared spike half to death. Spike fell backwards off the tree stump he was sitting on.
Spike lifted himself up and saw that where the light had just been, now Discord took its place. The god of chaos gave the little dragon a friendly smile.
"Well hello spike! what brings you to this dark enchanted forest today!" Discord exclaimed, picking up the Dragon in his talons.
"Um.." Spikes brain had to take a minute to adjust, then he responded "oh nothing" was all he said.
Discord didn't believe a word of it. He set himself down where Spike had sat only moments before, with spike still in his hands he placed the Drake on his lap.
"Now Spike I am over"-Discord pulled out a calculator from nowhere and punched in random numbers- " 'some amount of time' years old. You can't lie to me".
Spike looked up into the gods eyes and questioned.
"Why do you care?"
Discord looked hurt.
"Why? because we are friends Spike that's why and friends help friends. Ain't that what you ponies preach?".
"But I'm a dragon"
Discord chuckled, then got serious.
"Whatever. Now tell discord what happened, I can tell that you been crying".
Spike looked at his feet and nodded. He told Discord everything that happened...
...
Once Spike was finished telling Discord about what rarity had done the little dragon was now openly crying again. Discord held him close in a hug and let the dragon cry out his pain.
Discord on the other claw was pissed. Who does that little mare think she is? But Discords expression changed to one of pity when he looked down at the baby dragon.
Spike felt his right claw being moved so he looked up.
"Discord what are you~"
He was cut off by something that he never imagined he would see. Discord was gently kissing his cut (which had stopped bleeding by now), slowly going up and down the cut with tender lips. It stung a bit but also felt very soothing. Spike liked it...
Much too soon for Spike, Discord stopped and snaped his fingers. A bandaid appeared on the cut. The god then gave the hand one final kiss and looked down to the blushing dragon.
"Had to make sure that it was sanitized, before I put the bandaid on" said Discord, with a wink.
All Spike could do was nod.
That made Discord chuckle. The god of chaos lifted spike off his lap and placed him on the ground.
"Well you ready to go home little buddy?"
Once again all Spike could do was nod.
"And remember if you ever feel hurt again, or just need someone to talk to. You can come to me anytime" Discord smiled, and in a blink of an eye he vanished.
Spike regained control of himself and smiled. On his way back to Ponyville all Spike, could think about was his new crush...
