Luna sat down onto her bed and began to undress with the pace of a sloth. Trying to forget about how long her night was, and how long it was since she felt loved by another pony, she was beautiful woman, and anyone in Equestria could tell you that. “It’s been what, five years since I came back and people are still scared of getting close to me and when it comes to unpleasant news they draw straws so they do piss me off when they tell me. Now that pisses me off….” Luna’s thought was cut off by a loud explosion.

“ALL GUARDS REPORT TO THE MAIN GARDEN, I REPEAT ALL GUARDS REPORT TO THE MAIN GARDEN, THIS IS NOT A DRILL, WE HAVE UNKNOWN MILITARY FORCES WITH IN THE MAIN GARDEN…”
Luna moved gathered her military attire and quickly dressed herself in her combat fatigues and telaported herself in to the Castles armory. “Changelings, those mother buckers picked the wrong night to piss me off” Luna said angrily.
“MA’AM,” a lunar guard yelled in surprise, as he quickly saluted and returned to gathering up his KIT, it was one of Luna’s few friends, he was a faded gray, blue Pegasus with a jet black mane and a metal hoof.
“Sgt. First class Moon Crater, status report” she responded, returning the salute, as she too began to gather up her own KIT.
“We got a mix of both Solar and Night guards on duty Ma’am, three squads of elite Solar Flair Guard’s, are already in the area with three squads of our elite Eclipse Guard’s, I told em’ to hold fire and only fire if fired upon but as usual they blew me off. Me and this mix of Dusk and Dawn guards were gearing up to find both you and Celestia, Ma’am” said Moon Crater. ‘Shit’ Luna thought to herself ‘Tia where are you’ her thought was soon interrupted by one of Craters adopted troopers, a Solar guard private, who was staring at one of the many terminals, showing what the camera on one of the Dusk guard’s saw, along with her name and status, with a look of absolute fear.
“Um, Pra-princess… I-I don’t think its changelings this-s t-ti-time…” said the Private, his voice shakily, as a group of the un-known soldiers began to drive the elite guards back was seen and soon after the guard flat lined and the camera feed was lost. The armory became silent.
----------Two Hours and thirty minutes earlier, somewhere above Afghanistan in a C-130---------
“WERE FINALLY GOING HOME!” yelled Robert Deadeye, a Corporal in the US army Airborne.
“Yep, parties, sex and fun await us back in the good old US of A” another solider said. It had been a long and hard fight with the GLA and everyone was looking forward to seeing home again. The entire company ways en-route to an AFB in Kazakhstan to refuel and then head back to Pakistan, or at least that was the original plan”
“Got some bad news for ya Alpha Company.” A voice said, killing all the conversations between the paratroopers at once.
“Were going to help cover 2nd armored division who are falling back with the GLA on their heels were dropping in near a Comanche base in Hindu Kush Mountains, that’s in charge of escort mission” Said Naes, a first Lieutenant and commander of Alpha CO., but known main by most as “Music” company, a name they earned after a trooper hooked up his iPod to a network of stereos and blasted music that fit a surprise ambush that occurred just after it started playing.
“So make sure you’re ready for a fight were landing this time…” Naes was cut off by the sound of collision sirens.
“BRACE YOURSELVES FOR IMPACT, WERE GOING IN TO THE MOUNTAIN AND OUR INSTRUMENTS ARE MALFUNCTIONING, AND WE CANT PULL AWAY” Yelled one of the pilots. They all froze in confusion ten even stood up to look out one of the many windows but instantly stopped when they heard Naes.
“YOU HEARD HER, CHECK THE STRAPS ON THE DOZER AND ON YOURSELVES AS WELL, I WANT THERE TO BE PEOPLE LEFT ALIVE FOR A RESCUE TEAM” Yelled Naes. The ten troopers standing moved quickly to check the dozer and upon seeing its straps tight they ran to their seats and strapped in, Naes did the same.
“BRACE FOR IMPACT” was the last thing any on aboard the C-130 would hear before they felt the bird make contact with the object the pilots believed was the mountain.
----------Two Hours later, Canterlot Gardens, Canterlot, Equestria C-130 crash site---------
“Wake up” Naes heard someone speaking.
“What?” he said back.
“Sir You need to wake up” it said again
“SIR, SIR YOU NEED TO WAKE UP” it was Veronica Minder one of Alpha company’s medics.
“I’m up, I’m up, I need a…” Naes was cut off by the sound of gunfire, “This is War” playing in his comm. “CPL. MMINDER STATUS REPORT, NOW GOD DAMMIT!!!”
“SIR, I have no idea where we are, and when we started to check our surroundings’ we came under heavy fire, Pvt. O’Rilly took two rounds to the chest she’s hurting but she should make it after that we established a perimeter around the Hercs. And have been holding, the dozer is still in working condition.” Cpl. Minder said.
“How many dead and wounded Doc?” Naes asked as he put on his helmet and grabbed his M-416, checking its ammo, cocked it and set it to semi-auto.
“Of the Hercs six crew: two are KIA after we were fired upon and three are wounded, of Alpha company’s one hundred: twenty are Dead seven wounded” she said,
“Sir I need to check on our wounded” Naes nodded and she ran off.
“Of a hundred and six only eighty survived, shit I hope those GLA bustards…” he froze when he saw the thing that that was shooting at them. It was wearing a similar KIT and was using what looked like the German G-36c but it had what looked like wings and its ears were that of a horse. “What the fuck is that thing” he said as he opened fire on it.
“This is first platoon were driving the freaks back, permission to advance sir?” requested Second Lieutenant Leon Johnson, an old friend from boot camp and Naes’s second in command. Before Naes could respond, second platoon called in.
“Second platoon to 1St Lt. Raemius, op for has received heavy casualties and are withdrawing permission to move up and police their dead sir” 2nd lieutenant Gabriel Troth requested, he was a replacement out of west point, still proving himself as a platoon leader.
“Negative all units hold position, 2nd platoon send a fire team to police the dead of the op for if they come under fire have them fallback immediately, 3rd platoon do you hear me?”
“Third platoon(static) rec(static)ing heavy fir(static) sir need…” the voice cuts out.
“1st Platoon send a squad to assist 3rd I’m sending a squad from my platoon as well. 2nd platoon how’s that fire team? How copy?” Naes called over his comm.
“I copy your last 1st out” Johnson yelled.
“copy your last. There back sir, they engaged some of the retreating op for as well, from what they told me were in a large garden located in an even larger court yard. Op for uniform is labeled ‘Equestria Royal Guard Solar e;SF ’ or ‘Equestria Royal Guard Night e;SE’ no idea what language this is sir, sending you an image. How copy?” Troth said
“Copy your last 2nd platoon, Hold position and sit tight for 3rd platoons status, 3rd platoon how you holding out?” Naes responded.
“good(static) comms are damaged on our(static)-nd I’m now in command of 3rd platoon, how copy sir?” said master sergeant Lopez said.
“I copy your last sgt., 2nd platoon your clear to advance I want prisoners trooper, don’t kill al of em’, how copy?” Naes said.
“I copy your last sir, 2nd platoon lets move.”
“1st and 3rd platoons hold your positions, my (4th) platoon take 2nd platoons position, were at war with an unknown, 1st lieutenant Naes Raemius out.”
