Ch.1 The Promise I Can't Break
It was a dark and stormy night in Ponyville. Everypony was in their home's all nice and toasty. Except for one certain pony, she was a blue unicorn with a light blue mane, with a magic wand as her cutie mark. She was sitting in an ally with a box over her head. She sighed and looked down on her heavily pregnant stomach.
"It's ok, there is nothing to be afraid of. It's just the rain", said Trixie talking to her unborn foal
Then thunder and lightning strucked. Trixie ran under her box and started to shiver.
"Ok I know your scared right now, so am I. I wish none of this ever happened. I wish I never had left Hoofington to perform magic all around Equestria. I wish I didn't brag too much. I wish I didn't lie about slaying an Ursa Major. I wish an Ursa Minor didn't destroy my cart, which was my only home"
Suddenly, Trixie started to cry.
"I wish I never have bought that horrible Alicorn Amulet. Or banished my friend. And I wish I didn't have to take…drastic measures to get money"
Trixie flinched in pain and she clenched her stomach.
"Im not saying I don't want you, I just don't want you now. I wanna have you when I have a house and a husband…but alas, I don't have any of those"
Thunder and lightning strucked.
"Look let's not focus on the negatives, let's focus on the positives. I can have a little assistant. I can see it now The Great and Powerful Trixie, and her lovely or handsome assistant"
The rain started to stop.
"I promise I'll be a good mom for you, It'll get better you'll see"
Then a grey pegasus with a blond mane, a lazy eye, and a couple of bubbles as her cutie mark showed up with a flashlight.
"It's cold outside, need a place to stay?", asked the mare
"Yes ma'am thank you", said Trixie getting up
They kept walking until they reached her home.
"Make yourself at home", said the pegasus putting a blanket and pillow on the couch
"Thank you so much for your hospitality Miss…", said Trixie
"Derpy Hooves", introduced the pegasus
"Nice to meet you Derpy, I am the Great and Powerf…Trixie, just Trixie", introduced Trixie
Then a couple of ponies came downstairs. One was a brown earth pony stallion with a brown mane and an hourglass cutie mark. The second one was a magenta unicorn mare with a purple mane and a couple of diamonds cutie mark. The third one was a purple unicorn filly with a blond mane.
"Mommy, what's going on?", asked the filly
"Everypony this is Trixie. Trixie this is my husband Dr. Time Turner Hooves, My eldest daughter Sparkler, and my youngest daughter Dinky", introduced Derpy
"Um…hi", said Trixie shyly
"She's gonna be staying with us for a while until she can get back on her feet", explained Derpy
"Are you having a baby?", asked Dinky
"DINKY", yelled Sparkler
"No, it's fine. I am with foal", confessed Trixie
"When are you due?", asked Sparkler
"Three weeks", explained Trixie
"Then we'll make sure to be there for you and your foal", said Derpy
"Oh you don't have to do that", said Trixie
"Oh nonscense, everypony deserves a little kindness", said Derpy wrapping a hoof around her
"Well alright, if you incist", said Trixie
"It's getting late we should probably get ready for bed", said Time Turner
Everypony got ready for bed, then Derpy came downstairs.
"Goodnight Trixie", said Derpy hugging her
"Goodnight Derpy", replied Trixie
Derpy went back upstairs, then Trixie started to rub her stomach.
"See, I told you it would get better, I promise you'll have a happy life", said Trixie

6 Years Later
At the park, a young dark blue unicorn filly with a purple mane was trying to practice magic.
"Am I doing it right Mommy?", asked the filly
"Your doing great sweetie, just keep focusing", replied Trixie
The filly's horn kept glowing until fireworks started to appear.
"I DID IT MOMMY", cheered the filly
"That was amazing", said Trixie hugging her
"Does that mean I can be your assistant now?", asked the filly
"Not even close", said Trixie
"C'mon mommy, just think about it. The Great and Powerful Trixie, and her assistant Topaz the Magnificent", begged Topaz
"That does sound kinda good", said Trixie
"Pleeeeeeease", begged Topaz
"Oh alright", said Trixie
"YAY", cheered Topaz hugging her mom
Suddenly, a ball rolled over to the Topaz. She looked up and saw a couple of foals. One was a green pegasus filly with a blue mane. The second one was a pink earth pony filly with a green mane. The third one was an orange unicorn colt with a blond mane.
"Excuse me, can you pass the ball over here", asked the pegasus
"Sure", said Topaz kicking the ball
"Hey, wanna play with us?", asked the earth pony
"Can I mommy?", asked Topaz
"I don't see why not", said Trixie
"Thanks mommy", said Topaz hugging her
Topaz walked over to the group of foals.
"Im Northern Lights", said the pegasus
"Im Springtime Blossom, and this is Comet Twist", introduced the earth pony
"Um…hi", said Comet Twist shyly
"What's your name?", asked Springtime Blossum
"Im Topaz", introduced Topaz
"That's a cool name", said Nothern Lights
"Enough talk, let's play", said Comet Twist
Then they started to play while Trixie watched them.
"I told you it'll get better, and it did. We have a nice house, and I have you as my new assistant. I don't have a husband yet, but that's ok. I have you", said Trixie "Im so glad I kept my promise. And Im glad I have my little girl Topaz"
